Abby: Last one up's a rotten egg!

R.J.: I'm gonna beat you!

Abby: No, you're not!

Eric: Hey, hey, hey. Slow down now. Be careful now. I'm going to be up there in a minute to start your baths.

Hope: I want a bubble bath --

Aly: Me, too!

R.J.: Hey, wait for me --

Stephanie: What a wonderful sound --

Eric: What? Chaos?

Stephanie: The chaos of children. Absolutely. I love it.

Eric: You miss that, haven't you?

Stephanie: Oh God, I've missed that more than you can even begin to imagine. You know -- call me crazy, but I've been thinking. We have Felicia and Dino in the guest house, and -- well, we've got all these empty bedrooms upstairs. Do you think you could persuade Ridge to bring the kids over?

Eric: Huh. Good luck with that.

Stephanie: Honey, when have I ever left anything to luck? It's just that I would -- I'd love to have my children here and my grandchildren.

Eric: Well, what about Thorne and Aly? Are they part of this whole picture of yours?

Stephanie: When he was at the office today -- did he seem okay to you?

Eric: Thorne? Of course he did. Look, he's having a good time these days. And I think that's wonderful. After the year he's had, it's about time.

Thorne: Love the fabric. What do you think, Alana?

Alana: Not bad.

Thorne: Thanks, honey. Ah -- Jean Claude.

Jean claude: Thorne. How wonderful to see you again.

Thorne: Likewise, my friend.

Jean Claude: And who, may I ask, is your lovely companion?

Thorne: This is Alana Miller.

Jean claude: Enchante.

Alana: So nice to meet you. I love your work.

Jean Claude: Thanks, that's very kind. I see you have champagne. Excellent. Help yourself to the caviar buffet.

Thorne: Thank you. Ah, want some more champagne? Thank you.

Nick: A big bottle of sparkling water, two glasses.

Taylor: Oh, and a lime with that, please.

Nick: Well, thank you for meeting me here. Looking forward to this. Talking to you.

Taylor: About hiring Brooke? She told me.

Nick: She did? How do you feel about that?

Taylor: Depends on why you did it.

Rick: So, it's official. You're working here full-time at Forrester Creations.

Brooke: You don't think it's a good idea?

Rick: Well, I just -- you know. 12-hour workdays working alongside Nick. I worry about you, mom.

Brooke: Don't worry about your mother. She's a big girl, she can take care of herself. Unless of course, you want to quit your job and come over here. Keep me out of mischief. Forrester Creations could use your talent, you know.

Rick: Well, dad could also use my talents. Thank you for the offer, but I think I'm going to stay put for now.

Brooke: Would you consider it in the future? If the timing was right?

Rick: Doesn't hurt to ask.

Brooke: I'll keep that in mind.

Rick: Cool. I mean, it would be nice, being able to show up to work everyday without having ridge in my face all day long.

Ridge: It's not gonna bite, you know.

Ashley: Okay. Oh, wow, Ridge -- these are breathtaking.

Ridge: And best of all -- they're earrings! If you could've seen your face -- what? Did you think it was a ring?

Ashley: Well -- yeah. It was a little scary. Terrifying, actually.

Ridge: I guess I deserve that.

Ashley: Or was that the reaction you were hoping for? Because you're such a tease.

Ridge: Hey, as long as you like 'em, I'm happy.

Ashley: Are you kidding? These are exquisite. I can't wait to wear them. And you know, just for the record, I am a little relieved that it's -- you know -- it's not something else. Because we haven't been seeing each other that long. And um -- when I'm enjoying something as much as I'm enjoying you -- I kinda want to take my time and savor every minute, you know?

Ridge: You know. It's kinda scary, isn't it?

Ashley: What?

Ridge: How much on the same wavelength we are.

Ashley: Yeah. Pretty soon, I bet, we're gonna start finishing each other's sentences.

Ridge: Well, let's just try that, shall we? You start a sentence, and let's see if I can finish it.

Ashley: Okay. This is what I want to say. So, what do you have to say?

Stephanie: That Abby -- I'm telling you, she's something.

Eric: Marshalling the troops, eh?

Stephanie: Out of the bathtub, into the pajamas, and now she's reading them a bedtime story. Hup, two, three, four.

Eric: I know why you're so fond of her. She reminds you of you.

Stephanie: Bossy?

Eric: Yes. Although, I was going to be more generous. I was going to say she's a natural born leader.

Stephanie: Well, very sweet. Thank you, darling. I have a feeling she's pretty much like her mother, who's a remarkable girl, and I'm very delighted that Ridge is spending so much time with her.

Ridge: So, what do you think? Is this all you imagined?

Ashley: What makes you think I've spent time daydreaming about your bed?

Ridge: You mean, you haven't?

Ashley: I said, "What makes you think I've spent time?"

Ridge: Probably all the time I have daydreamed of you in it. So beautiful.

Brooke: No one's saying that you and ridge have to like each other. But you can't let all that bad blood get in the way of you working well together as a team.

Rick: Mom, I just can't ignore my personal feelings any more than you can ignore your personal feelings with Nick. How's that going to be here? Working with him all day, and then working with him all night. What is something happens? Has something already happened, mom?

Brooke: Um, well -- there was a moment after the hearing. Nick and I --

Rick: Nick and you, what?

Brooke: We almost kissed.

Rick: You almost -- man, mom, does Taylor know about this?

Brooke: No. No, she doesn't know, and she doesn't need to know. Nick and I agreed that it is never going to happen again.

Nick: I hired Brooke because I think she can be an asset to the business. She also needs the job. She's trying to get her life together.

Taylor: So, then you admit it's -- it's partly for personal reasons.

Nick: No, I wouldn't consider it for personal reasons at all.

Taylor: Still, there are a lot of people who would tell me I'm out of my mind for allowing my husband to work with his ex and a lot of beautiful models all day.

Nick: Models? What models? The only woman I see is you.

Taylor: Then whatever you do, don't turn around.

Nick: It's Thorne.

Taylor: With a very beautiful woman.

Nick: Where?

Taylor: Oh, she's invisible?

Nick: She doesn't hold a candle to you, honey.

Thorne: Where's the waitress? We need some more champagne. Wow. That's beautiful. Nice.

Darla: You like?

Thorne: Yes. Very much.

Alana: I see my agent, I want to go say hi.

Thorne: Yeah, sure. Well, I haven't had a chance to congratulate you. New marriage, baby on the way. Enjoying an evening out.

Taylor: Thank you. Thank you. It's good to see you over there, enjoying yourself. Having -- with a beautiful girlfriend.

Thorne: Oh, you think I'm enjoying myself? Huh, well, maybe it looks that way. Or maybe it makes you feel better to believe that? No one can make me as happy as Darla. And she's gone.

Rick: Mom, you've heard the expression "Denial ain't just a river in Egypt."

Brooke: Honey, what exactly do you think I'm in denial about?

Rick: Oh, come on. Do you think -- you think you can do this? You think you can work here, every day with Nick, and not act on your feelings?

Brooke: I would rather work with Nick and be close to him, than not have him in my life at all.

Rick: I just don't want to see you settle for the crumbs. You're better than that.

Brooke: One step at a time. First the kids, then my career. Then, we can worry about my love life. Deal?

Rick: Deal. Fine.

Brooke: Good. Now scoot. I'm very happy that you dropped by, but I'm sure we both have some work that we have to do.

Rick: This is true. You take care.

Brooke: Okay.

Rick: I love you.

Brooke: I love you, too. Good night.

Rick: Good night.

Ridge: How are you doing?

Ashley: I'm doing very well. I'm doing very, very well. How are you doing?

Ridge: I'm doing great. Yeah.

[Phone rings]

Ashley: That's okay. You better get it. Just this once.

Ridge: What's up, Logan?

Brooke: I just wanted to let you know I'm on my way over to say good night to the kids.

Ridge: Well, they're not here.

Brooke: It's nearly their bedtime. Where are they?

Ridge: Well, I had some plans tonight, so they're with their cousins.

Brooke: Ridge, why didn't you call me to take them? You know I would have loved to have spent some time with them.

Ridge: Logan, they're sleeping over.

Brooke: Oh. Because of your plans with Ashley?

Ridge: Yeah.

Brooke: If they're not with you, Ridge, where are they?

Ridge: They're over at my folks' house.

Brooke: With Stephanie. I should have known. Well, it's too bad for her, because I am going to see my kids.

Ridge: Logan, wait, wait. I don't think that's really a -- good idea.

Eric: I almost envy R.J. being able to fall asleep so quickly like that.

Stephanie: His head hit the pillow and that was it.

Eric: It's nice having Aly with us, too.

Stephanie: Eric, I had no idea that she was spending so much time with Felicia, did you? I mean, I'm happy that Thorne's moving on with his life, but --

Eric: Are you?

Stephanie: Well, yeah. Well, until I saw the girl he had the date with. I mean, Alana's a nice little girl, but she's, you know, not up to his usual standards. Did you think he was trying too hard?

Eric: Stephanie, you worry too much. Let him have his fun.

Taylor: No one can replace Darla. I'm just glad and I'm happy for you to see you out enjoying yourself --

Thorne: Oh, you mean, since you hooked up with this clown?

Nick: Easy, Thorne.

Thorne: You know lucky for me, it was before we got married. Because I mean, you know, you never loved me in the first place.

Taylor: Thorne, you know that's not true.

Thorne: I know that you felt guilty for what you did, Taylor.

Taylor: Okay, listen, it's been a year now. Almost exactly. And if you need to talk to --

Thorne: Oh, need to talk -- no, Taylor, what I need is my wife. Because I miss her, Taylor. You see? And I still hurt. But you've gotten over it, obviously. I mean, look, look, we've got some candlelight. We've got a new husband. What, no wine?

Taylor: You know I've given it up.

Thorne: Just a little too late for Darla, though.

Nick: Maybe we should get you a ride home, Thorne --

Thorne: I'm not drunk, I don't need a ride, I need my wife!

Jean Claude: Thorne -- Thorne, your date has been looking all over.

Nick: Maybe you should find her. You okay?

Taylor: I'm just glad it didn't go any further. I mean --

Nick: Sorry about that. He shouldn't talk to you that way.

Taylor: Oh, he's definitely still grieving. I've just never seen him act that way. I'm really kind of worried about him.

Ashley: I bet you can't stop thinking about that call from Brooke, right?

Ridge: Oh, I'm sorry.

Ashley: That's okay.

Ridge: It's just if she goes over there and confronts my mother, all hell's going to break loose. Hmm.

Ashley: Are you calling Brooke?

Ridge: No, I'm going to call my mother. Make sure she knows that Brooke's coming over there, so everything will be just fine. Hey, I just wanted to alert you that Brooke's on her way over there.

Stephanie: To my house?

Ridge: Yeah, she just wants to say good night to hope and R.J., Okay?

Stephanie: Oh, well, thank you for the heads up. Don't worry about anything, honey. I'll -- you have a good time with Ashley. I'll handle -- I'll handle Brooke.

Ridge: Oh, I think I just made everything worse.

Ashley: Why don't you head over there, huh? Really, maybe you can --

Ridge: No, no, no, no. Very decent of you to offer, but --

Ashley: You sure?

Ridge: Yeah. This is our night. I promise no more distractions.

Brooke: Hello, Stephanie. I spoke with Ridge. He said that Hope and R.J. are here.

Stephanie: They are.

Brooke: Well, would you mind terribly if I came in to say good night?

Stephanie: Yes, actually I do mind. It's late. You should have called.

Brooke: I have a right to see my children.

Stephanie: No. The court took that right away. If you want to come and see them, you have to make an appointment.

Brooke: To see my kids?

Stephanie: That's the way it works.

Brooke: Ridge and I have an understanding.

Stephanie: Well, Ridge isn't here. He left me in charge. They're already in bed. So, good night.

Brooke: That's R.J.'s teddy bear.

Stephanie: Yes, actually it is. I was just taking it up to him. Good night.

Brooke: I'm not naive, Stephanie. I know what's going on here with this little sleep over. You're trying to get Ashley and ridge together.

Stephanie: Who Ridge is with isn't any of your business.

Brooke: Maybe not. But my children certainly are.

Stephanie: No, not here. Not now. Not while they're with me in this house. And if you want to see them, you have to make an appointment. So, in the future, make sure you call ahead and don't set foot on these grounds again. All right?

Brooke: How dare you speak to me that way? I'm the mother of your grandson. I deserve a little respect. And if for one minute, you think that I'm going to leave without seeing my children, then you're crazy!

Brooke: Get off me! What are you doing? Stop it. Let go of me!

Stephanie: Make sure you walk her all the way to the front gate.

Brooke: Damn you, Stephanie. You can't do this.

Stephanie: Just a moment, gentleman. Oh, yes, I can. This is private property. If you show up again, without calling me, I'll get a restraining order, they'll take you to jail and then you will lose custody of those children.

Brooke: That's what you want. Because you want my children all to yourself. Admit it! God, I hate you so much. You're going to pay for this! You're gonna pay!
