Eric: Well if I go in the morning -- thank you.

Stephanie: Thank you so much.

Eric: Listen, everybody. Everybody have a drink? Right? I want to say something. I know I speak for everyone when I say how happy we are to have Ridge home where he belongs. It looked pretty grim there for a while, but -- because of my other son -- if it hadn't been for Rick --

Ridge: If it hadn't been for Rick, I'd be spending several years in a windowless cell somewhere. Unable to feel the sunlight on my face and definitely not around the people I love. There's a time when I might have taken a lot of that stuff for granted. But not anymore.

Eric: Welcome home son. We love you.

Phoebe: Dad's right. He's free because of you. I'll never forget what you did for him. And for me. I love you so much, Rick Forrester.

Constantine: Phoebe -- hey, it's Constantine. Yeah, I was just reading about your dad. That's -- really? You're all there celebrating. Great. Including Rick. Does that mean --

Phoebe: It means that we're fine.

Constantine: Really? Even after you confronted him about the other woman?

Phoebe: It wasn't like I thought, exactly. You know, it's settled. So -- why don't you get over here? I want you to meet everyone. Especially my dad.

Constantine: Great. Umm, okay give me the address.

Rick: Hey. It's supposed to be a party. What's wrong? Oh. Possible mix up. Did you learn something new?

Nick: Why am I just hearing about this?

Jackie: Well Brooke left a message with Mariah. Apparently, she felt that she had to put in an appearance at the Forrester's love fest for the newly sprung jailbird before coming here for her first day back.

Nick: She's supposed to be starting a new life. That's what taking this job is all about.

Taylor: Well, maybe Brooke's not ready to let go. Maybe she never will be.

Ridge: Look at him so peaceful. Innocent. Thank God he's too young to understand just how close his old man came to losing him. I did almost lose him. I almost lost myself too. I don't know which scares me the most. Sure seems like things have been awfully crazy the last long while. All I really want now is --

Brooke: Is for everything to be normal again.

Ridge: When have things ever been normal for us? We don't do normal, do we? Somehow we always seem to find our way back to each other.

Brooke: I don't know what the future holds any more than you do. But I do have a question. What about your feelings for Ashley Abbott?

Rick: So tell me, I mean, what's new? About, you know, the situation besides the guy who's working in the lab who's convinced the hospital big wigs are stonewalling. Well, he doesn't have any proof of that?

Bridget: No, not yet. But knowing Carl, he's looking into it as we speak.

Carl: You better come through for me Eugene, old buddy. Bridget is counting on me, and I'm counting on what's in that box -- to prove that I know what I'm talking about.

Ashley: Well hi.

Felicia: Hey.

Ashley: I just saw your cute boy, Dino. What a charmer.

Felicia: You should see his father.

Ashley: Yeah?

Felicia: On second thought, no you shouldn't. He's a no good loser, not that I'm bitter.

Stephanie: What's up with Bridget?

Eric: She hasn't said five words since she got here.

Stephanie: Yes, I noticed. You think there's a problem at the hospital?

Eric: She says everything's okay.

Rick: Fudge, don't look now, but dad is giving you that "What's going on with my daughter?" Look. So if I were you, I would pull it together.

Bridget: I'm trying. It's not that easy --

Rick: I know. I know it's not that easy. Okay, I realize that you're waiting for this Carl guy in the lab to call, but -- my advice? Don't wait for him anymore. Talk to mom. Talk to Taylor, okay. Tell them everything. And stop torturing yourself.

Jackie: It's classic Brooke's bedroom. Which is why the line was such a phenomenal success in the first place. It's provocative, sensual, unlike the lady who created them. Of course, I'm sure Brooke's going to have oodles of new ideas for the re-launch. But having these here, for her to see the moment she walks in -- inspirational.

Taylor: This was your idea?

Nick: I thought she'd want to hit the ground running. Wasn't aware Forrester would be released from jail and the entire world would come to a screeching halt.

Taylor: Are you worried she might not show up at all?

Nick: I just know how she gets around the Forresters. She forgets all about the pain from the past. Allows herself to be vulnerable again. Especially to Forrester.

Ridge: Do you detect just a little bit of a jealousy maybe there?

Brooke: I am not. Honestly, Ridge. What an ego you have.

Ridge: Well, I mean, just a little bit. I mean, it's not a bad thing. It shows you still care at least.

Brooke: Of course I still care. You know I still care. 'Cause if I didn't --

Ridge: You wouldn't have done what you did to save me. Which I'll forever be grateful for. And to Rick. By the way, I told Rick that I would not stand in his and Phoebe's way anymore. As long as he's true to her. As long as he doesn't hurt her in any way.

Brooke: I wonder if that's possible.

Ridge: You don't think he's going to be able to do that?

Brooke: No, I'm not talking about right now. I'm just talking about relationships in general. Couple's promise that they're not going to hurt each other and inevitably, they do. Look at you and me. We were two people that were madly in love, and we hurt each other deeply. My God, Ridge. Loving me really has cost you so much. I don't know why I'm realizing that now.

Carl: Whatever you're doing, you better drop and get over here pronto.

Bridget: Have you found something?

Carl: I told you I'd keep digging.

Bridget: What is it? What did you find?

Carl: Are you coming over here or not?

Bridget: Carl, can't you just tell me over the phone.

Carl: Believe me, you're going to want to see this for yourself.

Bridget: Okay, God. Okay fine. I'll be right there.

Eric: Bridget? Bridget?

Bridget: Oh, hi.

Eric: Is something wrong?

Bridget: Um, I can't talk to you right now, Dad. I've got to go, but I love you very much. I'm sorry.

Ridge: My beautiful little man. Do you know that loving you has been what my life has been all about?

Brooke: Look what it cost you.

Ridge: Look what it cost you. I've disappointed you so many times. Never intended to, never wanted to, but it still happened. Now I'm just -- looking at you and our son, and I'm wondering.

Brooke: Wondering, how many chances a family really gets? It's a beautiful thing. A mother and a father with their child. It's something we'll always share.

Ridge: Something you and Nick never will. I mean, I know a part of you still loves the guy. I also know that Nick and Taylor's baby has changed everything for you. Maybe now we can have some time together. With our son. Maybe have some creative time at Forrester Originals. We need you back there. We need your passion. We need your flair. I know why you feel like you had to leave, but -- you don't feel like you can come back, at all?

Brooke: It's not that. It's just that I already signed a contract with Nick to re- launch the bedroom line. And I know you might think I did that because I want to be close to Nick, but it's not true. I mean, I really, really searched my heart and -- maybe you're right. I mean, maybe I have been -- myself thinking that this wouldn't complicate things. And maybe I was just doing it because -- you know what, can you watch R.J.? I'll be right back.

Ridge: You know, Nick's going to think I'm behind this.

Brooke: No, no, no, no. Don't worry. I'm going to set him straight. Because this is -- this is right. I mean, this feels right. For so many reasons.

Carl: So that's where I got my buddy, Eugene, down in medical waste management to do a little scavenging.

Bridget: Okay, I'm really not following you, Carl. What does this have to do with the eggs?

Carl: I'm getting to that. There's an elaborate protocol for discarding medical waste. From cultures and blood products to containers contaminated with pathological material like --

Bridget: Like petri dishes?

Carl: Now you see where I'm going.

Bridget: Marone's. Is this the --

Carl: Yep. It's the one, all right.

Bridget: This is the lid that went to the petri dish that contained the eggs?

Carl: The eggs that were fertilized that night and later used in Dr. Marone's in vitro.

Bridget: How did you get this?

Carl: My amigo, Eugene. Weren't you listening?

Bridget: Yes, I was listening, Carl. Yes. I'm just -- shouldn't this have been packaged and sent offsite for incineration? I don't understand why you have this? What exactly are you trying to pull, Carl?

Constantine: Hey.

Phoebe: Hi. You made it. Hey.

Constantine: Umm, didn't realize there was a pool party. I'm a little over dressed.

Phoebe: Oh, don't worry about it. You look great. Yeah.

Ridge: Hey, who's this?

Phoebe: Oh hi. This is Constantine. Constantine, this is my dad. He -- I asked him to stop by.

Ridge: Well well. You mean the famous record producer, singer, star-maker? I'm anxious to meet you.

Constantine: You as well, sir.

Ridge: Please, just call me Ridge. I'm barely old enough to be her dad.

Phoebe: You know what, I'm going to get you a drink and then I'll introduce you to everyone.

Constantine: Okay. So good to see her smiling again.

Ridge: Absolutely.

Constantine: She's been very worried.

Ridge: About me?

Constantine: Yeah. And uh --

Rick: What the hell is this?

Constantine: Excuse me?

Rick: You heard me. Who invited you?

Nick: Ah, finally.

Brooke: Didn't Mariah give you the message?

Nick: No, my mother did. I'm glad you're here. Let's get down to work, shall we?

Brooke: Uh -- Nick. I have something to tell you. I can't work here after all. I'm resigning, effective immediately.

Rick: Hey.

Phoebe: Hey.

Rick: Um, why didn't you tell me that you invited Constantine?

Phoebe: Look, I know the two of you got off on the wrong foot, but can you just try to get along? I mean, it's such a good day. For me. Please?

Ridge: Rick's got a problem with you? It seems mutual too. What's going on?

Constantine: Let's just say -- I don't know what your daughter sees in the guy.

Ridge: You don't think he's her type?

Constantine: Phoebe's a sweetheart. She deserves someone that treats her like one. Not some two-timer who gets away with --

Ridge: Wait a minute. What do you mean, two-timer? Is Rick seeing someone behind Phoebe's back?

Nick: Resigning? I thought you were excited about all of this. Brooke's Bedroom, starting fresh. Working here.

Brooke: Yes, I was. But now I think it's best if I go back to Forrester Originals.

Nick: You signed a contract and I can hold you to it. How can you get sucked back into this Brooke? All of this craziness! My God. What happened to that speech I heard? I will never look at Ridge the same way. Not after he beat the crap out of my son.

Brooke: I know. It was a very emotional time and it blinded me to the man that Ridge really is.

Nick: Oh, oh. I see, it blinded you. And now that you're feeling all warm and fuzzy with the guy, you just forget about the past, right? You just forget all of the things that have happened. All of the times he' made your life miserable.

Brooke: What about all the things that I put him through?

Nick: Well it doesn't mean you go running back to the man when you're finally freeing yourself of him.

Brooke: Nick, oh God. I am not running back to him.

Nick: Well then what is this all about?

Brooke: It's about my son. And giving him the kind of life that I want him to have. And Ridge wants the same thing. It's about accepting what is, not what could have been. I came to you first. But you had already decided to have a life with Taylor. To have a baby with her. So I had to accept it. I always wondered what it would be like to have a child with you. What that baby would be like. But now that child is lost to us forever. And we have to accept it. For both of our sakes.

Carl: I'm not trying to pull anything. I'm trying to -- would you please just let me finish explaining? Okay. That's the lid to the petri dish that contained the fertilized eggs. The ones --

Bridget: That were used in Taylor's IVF.

Carl: Okay, but until now, we haven't known if it's the donor's eggs that were fertilized or your mother's because there was two petri dishes in the lab labeled Marone that night.

Bridget: I already know all of this, Carl! Please, just get to your point.

Carl: This is the point. That label can tell us everything we need to know, Bridget.

Bridget: How? I don't understand.

Carl: Your mother's eggs never made it to the research lab. They were prepared in cryo-storage. Then brought to the fertility lab. Now, the labels from fertility lab and cryo-storage are different. Cryo-storage has a clunky old printer. Nothing like this baby here. See, this one's top of the line. Which means if I print out a label from this machine -- may I? And it matches the label on that lid, then --

Bridget: Then the donor's eggs were the ones that were used and not my mother's!

Carl: All I have to do is press print.

Bridget: What does it say? What does it say, Carl? Who's eggs were used? Were the donor's or -- for God sakes Carl. Please, just tell me.
