Taylor: You really have no shame, do you? That you'd be standing here in my fiancÚ's office openly challenging my relationship with him.
Brooke: That's right. Because your fiancÚ should still be my husband.
Taylor: And whose fault is that?
Taylor: Oh, well good. At least you're not totally delusional.
Brooke: You're angry with me, Taylor. And if I were in your position, I would be angry too, and maybe a little threatened.
Taylor: I was wrong. You are totally delusional. Get it through your head. Nick has moved on. You left him for Ridge.
Brooke: My relationship with Ridge is over. Because he attacked my son --
Taylor: Oh, come on, Brooke. You and I both know Ridge better than that. We've known him a long time. Even as a psychiatrist, I know that's not his personality type. That was an isolated incident.
Brooke: That doesn't change what happened. Or the way I feel about it!
Taylor: Well, it doesn't change the way Nick feels about it either, okay? I mean, do you really think he was going to take you back after everything you've ever done to him?
Brooke: I do. And obviously you do, too, otherwise you wouldn't be this defensive.
Storm: Ah-ha, Stephanie. Let me guess, you're here to ask Jackie for a job.
Stephanie: Oh was that, an official offer?
Storm: Well, it's just that Forrester Originals is a sinking ship, so --
Stephanie: Don't you wish.
Storm: You have to admit though, Brooke and Ridge took the wind out of her sails when they called off their Rodeo Drive wedding.
Stephanie: You know, you spend too much time with Nick.
Storm: Yeah, maybe so. But I've still been getting a lot of calls from the press, and everybody wants to know what's going on with my sister and Ridge. I haven't said anything. But off the record, I don't think that Brooke has made a better decision in her life. See ya.
Stephanie: Oh, just the man I wanted to see. I have some really good advice for you.
Nick: I'm on the edge my desk.
Stephanie: So you are. Ridge left Taylor for Brooke. I hope you won't make the same mistake.
Ridge: Get out?
Ridge: Get out?
Felicia: Yes, get out of here. I'm not going to let you mope around this office for another second.
Ridge: You don't think I deserve to mope just a little bit?
Felicia: I think you deserve a kick in the pants. Seriously, what were you thinking? Punching out your fiancÚ's son?
Ridge: Obviously, I wasn't thinking.
Felicia: Clearly not. I'm sorry.
Ridge: Yeah, I'm sorry, too.
Felicia: I know you that you think you and Brooke were really on track this time.
Ridge: I was so sure of it, sis. So sure of it. Brooke is definitely over it all.
Felicia: Phoebe must feel awful. This can't be what she wanted to have happen. She loves you so much.
Ridge: I love her. I love her and all I was trying to do was to protect her. I asked her, don't see Rick. Stay away from him. She obviously wouldn't listen.
Felicia: Neither did we when we were her age.
Ridge: This isn't like her --
Felicia: No, I know. I know. Usually she behaves like her mother used to. Responsible, thoughtful -- but she's got your genes in her, too, big brother.
Ridge: Mmm, yeah. What happened between Brooke and I was not Phoebe's fault. It was my fault. There's nothing I can do or say to undo it either.
Felicia: Give her some time.
Ridge: No, sis. It's over.
Felicia: Come on, she's said that before.
Ridge: She went straight back to Nick. She got off the plane from Australia and went straight back to Nick.
Bridget: I'm sorry. You know what, this is none of my business.
Ashley: What, you know that Rick and I worked together in Paris, right?
Bridget: That's all I need to know.
Ashley: It's probably a little uncomfortable to talk about your brother's private life.
Bridget: It's just that if Rick wanted me to know, I'm sure he would have told me himself.
Ashley: Right. Right.
Bridget: He would have told me that the two of you had an affair?
Ashley: Okay, look, I had just gone through a divorce. And I wasn't looking to be involved with anybody. I was totally focused on my work. But there I was in Paris, and Rick and I found ourselves developing a proposal for a fragrance line.
Bridget: Yeah, late nights at the office just led to breakfast in bed.
Ashley: Yeah. Yeah, and actually thinking back on it, I'm not quite sure how it happened. But it did --
Bridget: Well, you were in Paris. The city of lights, French champagne.
Ashley: True. Yeah, but you know, we agreed that there were no expectations and no strings.
Bridget: Well, why? I mean, did you not see it going anywhere?
Ashley: No, I didn't.
Bridget: But you are here in Los Angeles now. Working with Rick again. How do you feel about my brother now?
Ashley: There's nothing going on with Rick and me.
Ashley: There's nothing going on with Rick and me. Our relationship is strictly professional.
Bridget: Well, that's a good thing. Or I don't know, is it a bad thing?
Ashley: I don't know. It's just the way things are.
Bridget: That sounds slightly ambivalent.
Ashley: I like Rick very much. He's with Phoebe now. Apparently, he's head over heels for her. And I can see why. I mean, she's a great girl.
Bridget: A very young girl.
Ashley: Probably a little too young for him. But you know, who am I to say? I mean, if people would have known about Rick and me, they would have probably told me the same thing, right?
Bridget: Nobody knows?
Ashley: Of course not. Why should they? I mean, it's in the past. It doesn't affect our work. It's a non-issue.
Bridget: It's a non-issue if there's no desire there to rekindle a romance?
Ashley: Look, what happened in Paris was, frankly, wonderful. But I've moved on. And so has Rick.
Bridget: Well, if you get lonely here in Los Angeles, I know some great men who think you're quite the catch.
Ashley: Well, thanks. If they have such great taste in women, then why aren't any of them dating you?
Felicia: No, Nick and Brooke, no! Come on, for one thing, he's engaged to Taylor.
Ridge: Until a few days ago, Brooke was engaged to me.
Felicia: She really went to him straight from Australia?
Ridge: Straight from the airport.
Felicia: Okay, fine. You know, but I'm sorry, just because she wants to get back with Nick, doesn't mean he's willing to get back with her.
Ridge: Sis, whenever Brooke wants something badly enough, she usually gets it.
Taylor: I am definitely not threatened by you.
Brooke: Good. I don't want you to feel threatened. I just wanted you to be aware of the reality of the situation.
Taylor: Me? You want me to be aware of the reality of the situation? You're the one that has a problem with that.
Brooke: Look, Taylor, I didn't come here to argue with you. I just came to talk to Nick. And I did. And now I'm leaving.
Taylor: No, not so fast. Nick is on to your game and I want you to back off.
Brooke: This is not a game.
Taylor: Oh, yes it is. It's the same game you've been playing your whole life. I call it, "The grass is always greener." You're like a little girl always grabbing at someone else's toys, no matter how many toys you already have in front of you.
Brooke: Well, maybe that's what it looks like to you.
Taylor: Nick sees it, too.
Brooke: Nick has some doubts. And given my mistakes, I don't blame him. But there is no way I'm going back to Ridge. And once I convince Nick of that -
Taylor: No, no, you will not be convincing him of anything. You will not be seducing him, tempting him, or pouncing on him. Nick has moved on. We're engaged. We're going to have a child together. And that would be, I believe, the child that you wouldn't give him.
Nick: So, now you want me with Taylor? I thought that you wanted me with Brooke?
Stephanie: I want Taylor secure and happy. And that is not going happen as long a Brooke is on the prowl.
Nick: Ah. So Taylor's your concern now?
Stephanie: Taylor's always been my concern. I love her. And I don't want her hurt.
Nick: Right, right. Sticky situation. You were going to use me, weren't you? Use me to get Brooke away from your son, but that would be a problem with your good friend Taylor. What will you do?
Stephanie: The question is, what are you going to do? Is this commitment that you've made to Taylor strong enough to handle this whole situation? I don't want her caught in the middle of this. I don't want her hurt. So, if you're going to let her down, do it now before there's a baby.
Nick: I'm not a psychologist, but I think that's reverse psychology.
Stephanie: I'm expressing a genuine concern.
Nick: Well, let me put your concerns at ease, Stephanie. I have no intention of letting Taylor down.
Stephanie: Nobody intends to ever step in front of a bus. Look, Brooke can not be without a man. You know that about her.
Nick: And you know your way to the door.
Stephanie: How long was it that she was in town before she was at your doorstep dropping her drawers? Come on, now. She'll cry you a river, she will be relentless in trying to seduce you, until she finds your weakness. There isn't a man that can resist her. I know.
Nick: That's not going to happen.
Stephanie: I hope not. Because its Taylor's heart that you're gambling with. Remember, Brooke left you for Ridge. You still took her back. She's got your number, Nick. Just treat Taylor with the respect that she deserves. Be honest with her. And more importantly, be honest with yourself because in your heart you know which woman you want to be with. If you're going to walk away from Taylor, do it now.
Brooke: Nick and I had children.
Taylor: Correction, stepchildren.
Brooke: He loves them very much.
Taylor: Okay, fine. He loves them. But he wants a child of his own.
Brooke: Is this how you plan on hanging on to Nick? By getting pregnant?
Taylor: Do you really want to go there?
Brooke: Look, Taylor, I didn't want to argue with you. I was trying to leave.
Taylor: No, I warned you to stop trying to undermine my relationship with Nick.
Brooke: Nick and I had a family together, and we were happy. I was hoping that we could have that again.
Taylor: Oh my gosh. Is this like deja vu or something? I know I've heard you say this before about Ridge. I know I have. Now, wait a minute, here's a thought. Maybe this has nothing at all to do with Ridge or Nick. Maybe you're obsessed with me.
Brooke: That's ridiculous.
Taylor: No, no, really. How come you want everything I have? My husband, my house, my children, my mother-in-law, my fiancÚ -- the list goes on. I want you stay the hell out of my life!
Brooke: Or what, Taylor? What are you going to do? Run me over with your car?
Stephanie: Looking for Ridge, too?
Bridget: Hi. No, I'm just leaving him a note. I'm barraged with questions about this silly photo of Rick and Phoebe in the park in Sydney. It's all over the Internet, and I -- what do you think I should say?
Stephanie: Oh, I don't know. I mean, the publicity couldn't be any more embarrassing, could it? Here she is involved with an older, more mature, experienced man, who's been married to Amber on top of it all.
Bridget: You'd think people would have more important things to do than to worry about our latest family scandal.
Stephanie: You'd think they would. I suppose it's less stressful though than facing the real world.
Bridget: Not to anyone in this building.
Stephanie: Look, why don't you just stick to, "no comment," for now.
Bridget: All right, that's good enough for me. So, if I see Ridge, should I just tell him to stop by your office?
Stephanie: No, tell him to go home.
Bridget: It's that tough on him, huh? This break-up?
Stephanie: You'd think, knowing that your mother got off a plane and went right over to Nick's, would certainly give him pause. And certainly, help him to forget all about her.
Bridget: Getting angry is good. Getting on this your life is so much better. Sometimes the best thing someone can do to get over someone else is just to meet someone new.
Stephanie: Hmm. Well, your lips to God's ear.
Bridget: How do you feel about my brother, now? How do you feel about my brother, now?
[Italian music playing]
Rick: Merci baku. I've done a lot of research on this new fragrance idea. I met a lot of people and, you know what it's like. You hear the same things over and over again. You smell the same things over and over again, but what you brought me was different. It was unique and fresh I guess that's why you're the best in the business. I'm very fortunate to be working with you, Ashley. I took such a chance calling you out of the blue I didn't think that you would even return my phone call. But, you did. And here we are. It think we have a lot of potential together. I'm babbling, I'm sorry. I'm babbling.
Ashley: You kind of are. It's okay. I wasn't really listening.
Ashley: Oh, no.
Ridge: I'll get a towel. I'll get a towel.
Ashley: Okay, the paper towels are right by the sink.
Ashley: Don't do that! The door locks! All by itself.
Ashley: Well, you're kind of having a run of bad luck lately, aren't you?
Ridge: Oh, man. Any chance I can just stay in here and feel sorry for myself?
Ashley: I guess you could. Don't tell me this is the very first time you have ever been dumped.
Ridge: Well, I wish I could actually say that to you, but I can't.
Ashley: So, you've survived in the past. What do you usually do to get over somebody?
Ridge: Are you curious? Or are you offering to help?
Taylor: You did not just say that.
Brooke: This is not high school, Taylor. I'm not stealing your prom date. Nick and I were married. We have a history.
Taylor: One he doesn't want to repeat.
Brooke: Really? Well, then why didn't he kick me out of his bed the other day?
Taylor: Because he didn't get a chance. You were already climbing all over him, pawing at him like a cat in heat.
Nick: Whoa! Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Hey, what is this? How did this happen?
Brooke: I was waiting for you and Taylor came in, and she just went off --
Taylor: She doesn't even work here. What are you doing here? Go home, Brooke!
Nick: Okay. All right, okay. Calm down. Brooke, please, I think it's time for you to go. Okay?
Brooke: We'll have this conversation another time.
Nick: Anything broken?
Taylor: Just my pride.
Nick: Okay, I can fix that.
Taylor: I don't know why I let her get to me, I don't. I just know what lengths she'll go though if she wants something. And I can't live like that anymore. I can't do that anymore especially if I know we're trying to have a child together. And we're trying to plan a future. I can't.
Nick: Okay, okay. I understand. You don't have to worry about that, all right? We're going to keep working at having a child. And we are going to have our future.
