Thorne: Darla? Darla?
Hector: One, two --
Thorne: Darla! No! No, God, no! Darla, honey, talk to me! Darla?
Brooke: Oh, it's so good to be home.
Nick: Set them down right here, will ya? Thank you, thank you very much. Here you go.
Driver: Thank you.
Nick: All right.
Hope: They're home! They're home!
Nick: We missed you. We missed you so much.
Brooke: Yes, we did! We missed you.
Hope: We missed you, too!
Bridget: Welcome back, guys.
Nick: I get her. She's mine.
Thorne: Honey, can you hear me? Honey, can you hear me?
Hector: She's unconscious, Thorne. We're stabilizing here, okay? In case she's injured her spine.
Thorne: Has she?
Hector: We won't know yet until we get her to the hospital.
Paramedic: Dispatch. Alert university. We have a pedestrian hit by a car, ETA ten minutes. Possible head and spinal trauma. Multiple fractures, lacerations, and contusions. Alert ortho and neuro.
Thorne: She's gonna be all right? Right? Hector, tell me she's gonna be okay.
Paramedic: We have to go.
Hector: Thorne, you can come with us, okay? We gotta go now.
Paramedic: Okay, she's coming up on three. One, two, three. Over. Down.
Hector: University Hospital. Follow us.
Thomas: What is it?
Ridge: Nobody's home.
Thomas: Phoebe not asleep?
Ridge: Her bed's still made.
Thomas: Well, then why did she miss Alexandria's party? Darla was expecting her.
Ridge: Obviously, she and Taylor went out.
Thomas: No, no, she would've called to let somebody know.
Ridge: Well, I checked the machine. The cell. No messages.
Thomas: Did you try mom's cell?
Ridge: No, just Phoebe's.
Thomas: Better try Mom's, too. I'm starting to think she's the one we should be worried about.
Phoebe: Come on mom, we have to go to the hospital. Come on. I'll take you, okay --
Taylor: What have I done?
Phoebe: We have to go.
Taylor: What have I done?
Phoebe: We have to go. It's okay.
Taylor: It's my fault.
Phoebe: No it's not. Just get in the car, okay?
Taylor: It is my fault.
Phoebe: Let's go. Come on.
Brooke: Why don't you tell us everything you did while we were away.
Bridget: Well, that might take awhile.
Nick: What'd you do?
Hope: We went to the beach and the zoo.
Nick: Both of them?
Brooke: That sounds like fun.
Nick: I love the zoo. I got something to tell you. You don't have to call me Uncle Nick anymore. You can just call me -- Nick. How about that?
Nick: Because I'm gonna live here now.
Nick: Uh-huh. I am gonna live with you and your mom -- forever. You know what I need? I realized I needed this since we've been gone. I need a bedtime story. Would you mind reading me a bedtime story, please? And I mean, I want a good one. Not some, like, old one that I've already heard before. I'd like something that's really new and trendy. Okay?
Bridget: Well, so Mrs. Marone, how was your honeymoon? Was it everything you hoped for?
Hector: Single car, pedestrian accident. Victim found unconscious at the scene. Possible brain and spine injuries. Multiple fractures. Ribs, right humerus, right tibula. Multiple contusions. Bp 110 over 62. Heart rate 112. Pulse ox 95. Pupils sluggish but reactive.
Christian: Let's get a c-spine and a head ct. X-ray CBC chem panel. Notify neuro and ortho, they're waiting.
Thorne: Why won't she wake up? What's going on, Christian?
Christian: We need to do some tests.
Thorne: But she's gonna be okay, right?
Christian: We're gonna do everything we can. All right, let's go.
Thorne: You hear that, baby. They're gonna help you, okay? You hang in there, Darla. You hold on! I'm not going anywhere, honey. I'll be right here.
Ridge: I have noticed your mother drinking more than usual lately. But she's not the kind of person to lose control. I mean, she knows her limits.
Thomas: From what I've seen, it's not just one glass of wine with dinner anymore.
Ridge: Why haven't you said something about this before now?
Thomas: Well, like you said, she's not the kind of person to lose control.
Ridge: But if you suspected something was wrong --
Thomas: If I go to you, it's like I'm ratting her out.
Ridge: Thomas, I'm your father. I care about you, your sisters, and your mother.
Thomas: I just wanted to talk to her first. And I did, today. She promised that she would stop. And get rid of all the liquor in the house.
Ridge: She certainly did that.
Thomas: Yeah. It's all gone. Except for this one bottle.
Ridge: It's empty.
Thomas: So is this glass. But, it smells like wine. Now, I want to believe that she dumped this out, but what if she didn't? What if -- what if she drank it?
Taylor: I didn't see her. I didn't see her.
Phoebe: Mom, you were coming around a bend. I should have had my flashers on. I was going to, but this creepy guy showed up. And I forgot.
Taylor: When you didn't answer your phone, I just -- I panicked. I was terrified for you.
Phoebe: I got back in the car and he went away. And I called Darla. I shouldn't -- I shouldn't have let her change my tire. I know I was parked too close to the road.
Taylor: No, no, no, Phoebe, no, no. It wasn't your fault. It wasn't your fault. I was driving. I did it. I did it.
Phoebe: She's gonna pull through this. She's gonna be fine.
Taylor: What if she doesn't? What if she doesn't? Oh God. Thorne. And Alexandria! Oh God, that little girl! That poor, innocent little girl!
Taylor: We're looking for Darla Forrester.
Phoebe: Mom -- mom, Hector's over there. Hector, Hector what's going on?
Hector: We won't know until the test results are in.
Phoebe: How's Darla?
Phoebe: Did she come to?
Hector: No. No.
Taylor: Oh, God. It should have been me.
Phoebe: I'm gonna go and call dad and let him know what's going on.
Hector: What happened -- what happened out there?
Taylor: Phoebe called me because she had a flat tire. And I guess she called Darla, too. And I wanted to get over there really fast because she was on the PCH, and she was alone. And I was worried for her. So, I went rushing out the door and it was really dark. And Darla was changing the tire and I didn't see her I never saw her.
Hector: It's okay. It's okay. Come here. It was an accident. Okay. It was an innocent mistake.
Taylor: It wasn't a mistake. It wasn't a mistake. It was my fault.
Hector: Were you drinking? You were?
Taylor: Yes. God, yes. Yes. Yes.
Ridge: Now, Thomas, let's not jump to conclusions.
Thomas: Mom was really emotional today, Dad. She seemed okay when I left, but maybe I should've stuck around.
Ridge: Phoebe. Hey, sweetie. Where are you? We have been worried about you.
Phoebe: There's been an accident.
Ridge: Are you okay?
Phoebe: Yeah. It's not me. It's Darla. She came to help me. I got a flat on PCH. And she got hit. She's really hurt. Mom and I are here. We followed her to university hospital.
Ridge: Your mother's with you?
Phoebe: Yeah. Thorne's here, too. He came in the ambulance.
Ridge: Okay, look. Just stay put. We'll be right there.
Thomas: Dad, what's going on?
Ridge: Phoebe and your mother are at the university hospital. Darla's been hit by a car. I'll drive. You call the family. Come on.
Thorne: She still hasn't woken up.
Thorne: She will.
Christian: Thorne, the ct showed a fracture in Darla's skull. The neurologist is going to talk to you. But you should know, the next 24 hours will be critical. Right now, there's no bleeding. But with an injury like this that could change very quickly.
Thorne: So, you would have to operate?
Christian: There wouldn't be any time. The location of the fracture, the severity of the injury. A hematoma from an arterial bleed -- it can be catastrophic.
Thorne: But you haven't seen that yet.
Christian: No, not on this CAT scan. Not yet. We are going to do our best. Nurse.
Hector: Yeah, it's me. Did you run the plate? That's right. Taylor Hayes Forrester. She's a friend. She's been in a little trouble lately. A DUI?
Thorne: Can you hear me, sweetie? Honey, hey, I'm here. You can't leave us now. Alexandria needs her mommy. And I need you. I love you. We love you so much. Darla? Honey?
Thomas: There they are. Phoebe, we were so worried.
Ridge: Hey, how are you doing? You're pretty shaken up.
Thomas: Did you see Darla get hit?
Taylor: It was terrible.
Thorne: Hey, Ridge.
Ridge: Hey, I'm so sorry. What'd the doctor say?
Thorne: She has a fractured skull, a broken leg, arm, ribs.
Ridge: And the guy who hit her?
Thorne: I don't know.
Ridge: He got away?
Thorne: Like nothing happened. What kind of person would do something like that, Ridge?
Thomas: Are you sure you're okay?
Taylor: Oh, Darla. What have I done? I'm so sorry. Oh God -- oh God, I'm so sorry. Oh God, please, please, please, lord save her. Please, please let her live. Please, please. You were trying to help my little girl. I'm so sorry. I didn't see you in the fog. It was so dark. I just didn't see you. It's my fault. It's my fault.
