Nick: Hope my god!

Dunn: So, you and your new wife live here with your parents now? Is that what you want me to believe? Same parents who didn't even know you'd gotten married.

Thomas: Actually, you blew our surprise before we could tell them.

Dunn: Okay, here's what it looks like to me. Either you really got caught up in something or this young lady here really has a hold on you. Either way, if you married her just to help her get her green card --

Thomas: That's a serious crime. Yeah. Yeah, I get that. But that's not what's going on here. Gaby and I love each other.

Dunn: Yeah? Well, you'd better. Because in order for Gabriela to become legal, you've have to stay married for two years. All while immigration monitors you to determine whether or not this union is fraudulent or not. Of course, if your folks would just get you to do the right thing -- you do want your son to do the right thing, right, doctor?

Taylor: I'd like to think that my son was raised the right way --

Dunn: I understand that Gabriela's mother worked for the Forresters for many years. In fact, she was almost like one of the family.

Taylor: Your point?

Dunn: As a mother, as a psychiatrist, and as a Forrester, I know it's only natural that you want to help this girl, but breaking the law isn't the way to do that. You do understand that, don't you?

Taylor: If you're asking if I understand what's at stake --

Dunn: What these kids are doing is illegal. And if you go along with it, you're breaking the law, too. And there's a whole world of consequences associated with that. But you got a chance, right now, to fix this by telling me the truth.

Gaby: I think that --

Taylor: For the record, Agent Dunn, I believe in telling the truth and that's the way I've raised my children. I believe in honesty even if there are some negative consequences. You know, I guess I can see how you might think that I might be condoning some sort of phony marriage, but -- especially in light of the way that I reacted when you first told us this news. I was a little suspicious myself. I mean, I couldn't believe that my son would take such a huge step without first consulting his father and me. And I'm still -- I'm still very upset about the choice that he made. But I can assure you that their private little wedding that they had in Vegas is legitimate. Gaby is a part of our family now and I really don't think this is any of the government's business.

Dunn: Does your husband feel the same way, too?

Taylor: My husband is out of town on business. Now, if that's all, I'll show you the door.

Dunn: Fine. You do that. As long as it's the door the newlywed's bedroom. I want to make sure that your daughter-in-law's all settled in.

Nick: Breathe. Breathe. That's it. One, two, three -- Brooke! Anybody! Come on! Come on, sweetie.

[ Hope gasping ] Good girl! You keep breathing, honey. You keep breathing. That's a girl, keep breathing. That's it, honey. Hello. Yes. I have an emergency here. I'm at 200 north Beston place. I have a child near drowning. Yeah, she's breathing. She's breathing. No, there's no response. 200 north Beston place. Hurry, please! That's it. That's right. You stay with me, okay. Stay with me.

[ Sirens blaring ]

Nick: She was in the spa. And she was going underwater. And somehow her hair got caught in the drain.

Hector: How long was she underwater?

Nick: A minute, maybe two. I -- I don't know.

Hector: Longer maybe?

Nick: I don't know. I can't be sure! I don't know.

Hector: Prepare two liters of o2.

Nick: Hang in there, honey. Just hang in there, sweetie. My god, she's seizing. She's seizing!

Hector: Nick, stand aside. Let's lift her up on two. One and two.

Nick: I'm right here.

Hector: Prepare one milligram Ativan, we're on our way out.

Nick: I'm right here. I'm right here, sweetie. Uncle Nick's right here. I'm right here, honey.

Taylor: You know, you really don't have any right to even be in here.

Dunn: Is this where you and your wife sleep? Then I have every right to inspect it. Just as I thought. There's nothing here but --

[ Thomas clears throat ]

Thomas: You were saying?

Taylor: Satisfied?

Dunn: Far from it. But if I prove this marriage is a sham you'll all be in a lot of trouble. Including you, doctor. And I'll show myself out.

Thomas: Mom, that was fantastic. You were awesome.

Gaby: You're too good for us.

Taylor: I'm having a hard time believing it myself.

Brooke: Can you believe R.J. fell asleep in the car?

Catherine: Well, he had a busy morning with all those kids to play with. So, why don't I put him down for a nap and then I'll bring him out to the pool when he wakes up?

Brooke: Good. That will give me some time alone with Hope. She gets a little nervous when i leave.

Catherine: I know. I'm glad her Uncle Nick's here though.

Brooke: Me, too. But she still is sticking pretty close to mommy these days. Hope? Hope, I'm home.

[ Sirens blaring ]

Nick: She's seizing again!

Paramedic: Let's give her another mg of Ativan.

Hector: No.

Nick: What's going on here? What's going on? What's the problem?

Paramedic: The seizures are eating up her cerebral oxygen.

Hector: I don't want to sedate her till she's had a ct scan.

Nick: Cerebral -- what the hell are you talkin' about, cerebral? You mean brain damage? Is that what you're saying here?

Hector: Nick, calm down. Let us work.

Brooke: Where is everyone? Nick? Dante? Hope? Nick's cell phone.

Gaby: Thank you.

Thomas: Look, Mom. I'm sorry that I had to put you in this position.

Taylor: Well, you know, you should be, because what I did was definitely against my better judgment.

Thomas: I know, I know. But --

Taylor: No, no, Thomas. Lying is never good. I know your mother wanted you to have your education. And I want that for you, too. But despite what I just led Agent Dunn to believe, this is not a real marriage. Gaby, I know that my son cares for you. And I know that you care about him.

Gaby: Very, very much.

Taylor: But this is really, really important. I have two impressionable teenage girls living here. And I don't want them getting the wrong idea. Absolutely no sex. I don't want them to think that's okay to do that in this house.

Gaby: Mrs. Forrester, we haven't.

Taylor: And I want it to stay that way, okay? As long as you are under my roof. That's the way I want it, and if I get the slightest hint that you are breaking the rules, then you're going to have to leave.

Brooke: Hope. Hope?

[ Intercom ] Npblue team to icu, please. Blue team to ICU.

Hector: Fixed pupils, seizures. Administer two milligrams of Adivan.

Dr. Sobel: Tell radiology we're probably looking at a cranial ct, stat.

Nick: What's going on with her? Talk to me, I need to know.

Dr. Sobel: You're the father?

Nick: No, no.

Dr. Sobel: Legal guardian?

Nick: No, I was with her when it happened. I just want to know --

Dr. Sobel: We'll do everything we can.

Nick: Doctor, please, I'm staying with her.

Dr. Sobel: You can't.

Nick: I'm staying with her. She needs me with her!

Hector: Nick, Nick, Nick. They're gonna do everything they can.

Nick: I was supposed to watch her. I told her mother that I'd watch her. I looked away. A 4-year-old kid in a spa and I looked away.

Brooke: Hope? Hope and Nick, have you seen them?

Catherine: No.

Brooke: They're not by the pool. Hope, Nick, are you up there? Check the kitchen. They've got to be somewhere. Hope? Hope, are you home? Hope, where are you?

Catherine: They're not in the kitchen.

Brooke: But Nick's car was outside, right?

Catherine: Yeah, maybe they went for a walk.

Brooke: No. No, Hope really wanted to swim. And I found this in the spa. Oh, my god, you don't think

Gaby: If we break the rules, it's over.

Thomas: Is she here right now?

Gaby: No, but --

Thomas: Are my sisters here?

Gaby: No, but --

Thomas: I think she said something about public display of affection.

Gaby: Yeah.

Thomas: You wouldn't call this bedroom a public place, would you?

Gaby: I hope not.

Thomas: Well, then I guess that solves our problem.

Catherine: Brooke, come on, don't panic. We'll find them.

Brooke: Where? Where? They're not by the pool. They're not in the house.

Catherine: What about Dante? Maybe he took them for a ride.

Brooke: He doesn't have a car. Besides -- oh, my god.

Nurse: Mr. Marone, you may come in now.

[ Monitor beeping ]

Nick: How is she?

Dr. Sobel: She's stable. There's no water in her lungs at the moment.

Nick: What do you mean at the moment?

Dr. Sobel: We still have to watch for secondary drowning. Her lungs can become flooded with pulmonary fluid, much like pneumonia. Anywhere from 1 to 48 hours after they seem to have recovered. We're keeping a close watch on that. I understand you did CPR poolside. That probably saved her life. She's breathing. The oxygen levels in her blood are good. Which means in all likelihood, she won't go into cardiac arrest.

Nick: When will she gain consciousness?

Dr. Sobel: We don't know.

Nick: But she will, right? Eventually.

Dr. Sobel: I wish I could tell you definitively. I need to know what happened.

Nick: She was playing in the spa. And she wanted me to watch her go underwater and see how long she could hold her breath. I was talking to someone. She had her waterwings on. And I looked away. I wasn't watching. She went underwater and her hair must have got tangled in the drain. It held her down.

Dr. Sobel: How long she was underwater? It's critical we find out.

Nick: I wish I could tell you. I don't know. I'd be lying if I said -- I don't know exactly.

Dr. Sobel: I'm going to give you some information. It's not easy to take. Brain damage is the most common complication in near-drowning victims. Death or persistent vegetative state are highly likely when the patient arrives at the hospital comatose. However, early rescue within five minutes of submersion and immediate CPR can make the difference. You were there. Got her breathing. She could wake up tomorrow and wonder why she's even here. It's possible.

Nick: It's not likely, is it?

Dr. Sobel: I can't give you any guarantees. But she's got a lot going for her.

Nick: I know you wanted me to watch, hope. But I looked away. I'm so sorry, sweetie. I'm sorry I looked away.

Nurse: Doctor, here are the pictures from the CT scan.

Dr. Sobel: Thank you.

Nick: I want to know what they say?

Catherine: What do you think Hope's other waterwing is doing in here?

Brooke: I don't know.

Catherine: And you said you found the other waterwing --

Brooke: Floating in the spa with Nick's cell phone nearby. Oh, god, what if --

[ Phone rings ]

Brooke: Hello?

Nick: Brooke.

Brooke: Nick, where are you? Where's Hope?

Nick: I'm at the hospital.

Brooke: Oh, my god. Just tell me my little girl's okay.

Nick: Brooke --

Brooke: Nick, tell me that Hope is okay. Just tell me that. Tell me my daughter's all right.
