Brooke: Ridge, I know how incredible this is, getting Taylor back, for you, for the children, for the whole family. But I am your wife now. And this is our home. And as hard as it is for Taylor to accept, she's going to have to deal with what's happened while she was gone. Our family has finally come together. And nothing is going to change that.

*********************************************************************

Nick: It's the best thing for you. Refreshing night swim to get your mind off your problems.

Bridget: Oh, I'm sorry. I'm just wondering what's going on at the house.

Nick: That's why we're going swimming, so your mind will get off what's going on at the house.

Bridget: How can I not think about it? Taylor's home.

Nick: Okay, I guess coming back from the dead is kind of a big deal.

Bridget: She wasn't dead. All this time, nobody knew.

Nick: Well, they know now.

Bridget: Not everybody. My dad doesn't know. And Stephanie -- I told you. Stephanie thinks of Taylor like her own daughter.

Nick: Well, if it's that important to you, give Stephanie a call.

Bridget: No, I can't. I can't. I -- the kids need this time with their mother.

Nick: I see. So you can't tell anybody about it. And you can't stop thinking about it. You want to just pace a hole in the bottom of my boat, then? Because I have a much better way to occupy our time. Huh?

*************************************************************

Phoebe: This is my best friend, Lindsey. We do, like, everything together.

Steffy: And this is my best friend, Claire, off the tennis team. And these are all of my friends.

Taylor: Brooke told me you guys went away to boarding school. And she says you really like it.

Phoebe: Yeah.

Taylor: I'm just don't know if I could stand you being away that far.

Phoebe: But we can come home.

Steffy: Yeah, we're already finished with all of our exams.

Taylor: Well, I'm not asking you to change your plans. I know if you really do like it there, you know --

Phoebe: No. We want to be with you.

Steffy: Yeah.

Taylor: And I want to be with you. There's so much I want to know. I mean, there's just so much that I've missed. Come here. Come over here and tell me everything. I want to know every single thing you've done. I want to know everything you've learned.

Phoebe: Well, Thomas likes girls.

Steffy: And he likes them a lot.

Thomas: Oh, my gosh. We can save that for later.

Taylor: Okay, we get the message. We can save that for later. Okay. Listen, I'm really tired anyway. We've been up for 24 hours, your dad and I. So I think we've all had enough excitement for one day. Why don't you guys go ahead and get some rest? Go get washed up.

[ Girls moan ]

Taylor: Come on. I'll stay with you until you fall asleep. Go on. Get washed up.

************************************************************

Brooke: Why aren't you saying anything,R? I'm talking about our family.

Ridge: Logan -- everything's going to be all right, okay? The last few hours have been overwhelming for everyone. We're all excited. We're all exhausted. I don't think we need to be asking ourselves a lot of questions right now. This is the time the kids get to reconnect with their mother.

Brooke: Right. And I'm sure that Taylor is thrilled to be with her children. But this has to be kind of strange for her, too. I mean, it must feel like it's still her house. This was her bedroom.

Ridge: Why don't we just focus on the kids right now, okay? Come here. Focus on the kids. This is such an amazing time for them right now.

Brooke: And for you. I know this means so much to you. And I want to share that with you. Please tell me what you're feeling.

**************************************************************************

Bridget: Yeah, well, as tempting as your offer may be, I don't think it would work.

Nick: Oh, it'll work. I guarantee it will work. I know it will work.

Bridget: Well, if anyone could get my mind off my family, it certainly would be you. Are you really ready to join this circus?

Nick: God, no. But I do want to marry you.

Bridget: Good.

Nick: Now as far as Taylor's concerned, we'll just make sure there's another seat at the wedding.

Bridget: That's how it's gonna affect us. But what about my mom? Taylor's alive. Are mom and Ridge even married? How is this going to affect the kids? There's so many issues and no simple, clear answers. The only thing I know for sure is their lives are about to get very complicated.

*****************************************************

Ridge: Do you really want to talk about all this?

Brooke: I want to know how you feel.

Ridge: I don't know. If I let myself take a minute to think about it, it's really overwhelming. Hmm. Those first hours when Taylor came back, we stayed up all night talking about everything. What happened to her, the kids, everything. She was right there in front of me, Logan. I could reach out and touch her. Which could've been strange, but it wasn't. It's like she hadn't changed. So easy, so comfortable. Like we just picked up where we left off.

Brooke: I'm sure it felt the same way to her.

Ridge: Oh, it did. But you know the best part? Seeing the kids with her. I've always tried to raise them with all the love and support they could ever want. But I knew -- I knew I couldn't compensate for what they'd lost. But now they have her back. All of her warmth, her wisdom and her spirit. They're going to benefit from all of that, Logan. Everything I thought they would never have. A few days ago, this was impossible. But now -- now my children are going to grow up with their mother.

*********************************************************************

Taylor: Okay, now what's all this I hear about girls?

Thomas: I don't think they have cooties anymore.

Taylor: Oh, well, I'm sure that they're happy about that. You've grown up into such a handsome young man.

Thomas: Does it make you sad to see us so grown up?

Taylor: It makes me proud. You went through a lot while I was gone.

Thomas: Yeah, it wasn't easy. You know, especially not at first. You know how we used to go to church on Sundays?

Taylor: You quit going?

Thomas: No, no. We kept it up. But I didn't see the point. I thought, why should I be so loyal to God if he's gonna do this rotten thing to us?

Taylor: You were angry.

Thomas: I just didn't get it. You know, I mean, what did we do wrong? Why did we have to lose all this time together?

Taylor: I don't know why. I can't explain that, Thomas. But, you know, that's what faith is for. Sometimes when bad things happen for what seems like no good reason, we have to trust that maybe we're learning something or we're being changed in some way, some way that might benefit the future in some way -- or maybe others, or ourselves.

Thomas: Yeah, yeah. That's true.

Taylor: You know what? Most people really don't stop and think about how precious their families are. But we know, don't we? And because of that, we are going to cherish every single moment we have together.

**************************************************************

Nick: Can't take it. Can't take it. I am officially declaring this boat a worry-free zone.

Bridget: Well, then maybe I should go.

Nick: Really? Don't you need your clothes?

Bridget: No.

Nick: Good. 'Cause you don't need them for what I got in mind either.

Nick: What are you thinking about now?

Bridget: Just you.

*************************************************************

Thomas: How did you do that?

Taylor: What?

Thomas: You just found something good in the worst thing that's ever happened to our family.

Taylor: There's value in every situation, Thomas. Tragedies can bring people together. They can make us see how fragile and precious life really is. They can shine a light on an injustice so it never happens again.

Thomas: Yeah, that's easy to say, but it's different when it's happening to you.

Taylor: Well, that's when you need faith the most.

Thomas: Yeah, I almost lost it, Mom.

Taylor: But you didn't. And here you are.

Thomas: Here you are.

Taylor: I know. I know, it's just -- it's unbelievable. You know, every single one of your prayers were answered long before I came home. They were answered every day you got up and you moved on. And the fact that I'm even able to have this conversation is an answer to mine.

Thomas: You prayed to come home?

Taylor: I prayed that my children would grow up to be healthy and intelligent, wonderful young adults. God, you're so mature.

Thomas: I'm really not that different.

Taylor: Well, you're definitely a lot more outgoing. I heard you won a school dance contest.

Thomas: Yeah. Yeah. I missed you a lot that night. It's been a lot of times like that. But what I miss the most, when you're a kid and you have nightmares, or when you're sad or worried about something, all you really want is to be held. It's all it takes to make you feel better, make everything better. And I know I'm not a little kid anymore, and this probably sounds dumb, but now that you're back, all I really want is to be held by my mother.

***************************************************

Ridge: I should stop.

Brooke: Why?

Ridge: I'm not even sure I'm making sense here. Besides, I'm kind of feeling like I need to sleep.

Brooke: But you want to see as much as Taylor and the kids as possible.

Ridge: Yes, absolutely.

Brooke: You have many years to catch up on.

Ridge: We don't have to do it right now. It's not like we're going to lose her again.

Brooke: No, you won't. She's always going to be a part of your life. That means she always going to be a part of my life, too. So I want to know what you're feeling and how this is affecting you. I want you to share that with me.

Ridge: I've been thinking about the kids a lot, wondering how Taylor's influence might have affected them. Would Thomas have gotten involved with Amber? Would the girls even be in boarding school now? And I want you to know that you've been great with them. They absolutely adore you.

Brooke: But Taylor is their mother. And they have that special connection. I know, because I have that with my children.

Ridge: And to grow up without that -- they won't have to now, because they have both of you in their lives. You're right. Why am I wondering about the past here, when we have an amazing second chance at the future? What a blessing. Thank you, God.

************************************************************

Steffy: We're back.

Phoebe: Did you miss us?

Thomas: Well, I'm gonna let you guys get some sleep, so --

Taylor: Oh, sweetheart, you don't have to leave.

Steffy: We can make an exception tonight.

Phoebe: Yeah. If mom's staying, so can you.

Taylor: Come here. Come here. I love you guys so much.

Thomas: We love you, too.

Taylor: I'm so happy to be home. I am never going to leave you again.

******************************************************************

Ridge: Look, I know there's still a lot to figure out.

Brooke: It is a complicated situation.

Ridge: But it's also a great one.

Brooke: And I don't want to interfere with that. The kids really do need to spend time and reunite with their mother.

Ridge: Okay, well, everything else we can -- we can deal with later.

Brooke: But the sooner the better. As soon as we get everything ironed out, everybody can just enjoy being together. And I don't want the kids all stressed out about what's going to happen next.

Ridge: Oh, Logan, this could be so incredible for them. For all of us. I mean, we are a family. Not your traditional family, of course. When have we ever been a traditional family? This is going to be fantastic. In fact, I think this could be the best thing to ever happen to us.

*********************************************************************

Nick: Have I lost you again? Huh?

Bridget: No. I'm here.

Nick: It doesn't matter. Because I'm very sleepy.

[ Nick yawns ] Can I go to sleep now?

Bridget: Don't you dare.

Nick: Honey, please get your mind off this whole situation?

Bridget: You don't realize what a big deal this is. You weren't around. I grew up with it. The competition between mom and Taylor wasn't healthy for either one of them. Two accomplished, intelligent women fighting over a guy. As happy as I am that Taylor is back, I'm afraid that this is going to create a lot of problems for my mom. She's finally at peace and loves the life that she's created with Ridge. If anything was to destroy that, I don't know that she could recover.
