Taylor: Tell me more about thomas.

Ridge: Thomas -- I try to give him advice when I can. Try to tell him what's right and wrong. And I can see him filtering it all through all of his experiences. Really thinking it over, you know? Coming up with ultimately what he believes to be right.

Taylor: He's becoming a man.

Ridge: You know, you always want your kids to be just like you, and then when they turn out to be that, it scares the hell out of you.

Taylor: Don't be afraid for thomas to turn out like you. You're an amazing man. I want to know everything. I want to know absolutely everything about the children. I want to know about every moment that I've missed. I want to see all of the pictures. I want to see the videos of everything that happened. I want to know everything I've missed. I've missed so much. The sun's up. Everybody's going to be wondering where you are. Brooke will be worried.

Ridge: I should call.

[ Phone ringing ]

Brooke: Ridge?

Ridge: Hey, logan, it's me.

Brooke: Oh, thank god. Where are you?

Ridge: I'm coming home. Something amazing has happened, logan. Absolutely amazing.

Brooke: What happened? You left the hospital. I was worried sick about you.

Ridge: I'll tell you all about it when I get home. A miracle has happened, brooke. A miracle.

I'll talk to you soon. I'm going to go find something to change into.

Taylor: You know, my being back so unexpectedly, and unbelievably, is not going to be easy for everyone.

Ridge: Brooke's going to realize how great it is for the kids to have their mother back.

Taylor: Yeah, um, the children, it is going to be a shock for them and I don't want to overwhelm them. And I don't want to frighten them.

Ridge: Doc, they're going to be thrilled. The important thing is you are back. Everything else we can just deal with in time.

Taylor: As much as I want to rush right to them and hold them, I do think it will best if you maybe prepare them emotionally and mentally. And I'll meet you there.

Ridge: You know, you always did know what was best for the kids. Obviously, that hasn't changed. By the way, in the closet in there is a box with some of your clothes. They're keepsakes. I don't want to leave. I feel like if I leave, it's all going to turn out to be a dream.

Taylor: No. It isn't a dream.

Ridge: So you're real?

Taylor: I'm never going to leave you again.

Stephanie: I know you're not happy being here this early in the morning, but the truth is, brooke needed some time alone with your father.

Steffy: But why come here if brooke's at the hospital?

Phoebe: We should be there, too.

Thomas: We don't really need to be at the hospital right now.

Phoebe: Don't you want to see dad?

Eric: Look, thomas is right, your dad will be home soon enough. You can see him then.

Steffy: But seeing us would only be good for him. Wouldn't it?

Eric: Well, of course, you're right about that.

Phoebe: Then I think we should go.

Steffy: I agree.

Stephanie: All right, he's not at the hospital.

Steffy: What? Where is he? If he's not at the hospital --

Phoebe: Why wasn't he home last night?

Eric: Girls, the fact is your father's having a difficult time right now.

Steffy: Did they take him somewhere else?

Stephanie: No, no, they haven't taken him any place. And he left the hospital on his own. Actually, we're not sure where he is right now.

Steffy: Why didn't dad come home?

Phoebe: Has something happened to him? Is he worse than you're telling us?

Stephanie: No, no -- no, no the doctors have given him a clean bill of health. He's fine.

Steffy: Then where did he go?

Phoebe: What aren't you telling us?

Thomas: Dad thinks that he saw mom.

Steffy: Thinks he saw mom?

Thomas: It was at the wedding. The woman who screamed. He thinks it was mom.

Phoebe: Why would dad think --

Eric: Look, girls, we think someone might be pulling a terrible trick on your father.

Phoebe: Making him think mom's alive?

Steffy: Who would do something like that?

Phoebe: Does someone want to hurt him?

Stephanie: No, nobody wants to hurt him. And there's a perfectly good explanation for all of this. But the important thing for you to remember right now is that your father has suffered several concussions.

Steffy: But the doctors, they said he was all right.

Stephanie: Yes, but he needs time to recover, honey.

Thomas: They said his memories might come back all mixed up. In different orders at different times. He might remember something from a long time ago like it happened yesterday.

Steffy: Is that true?

Stephanie: Yes, tom's right.

Phoebe: And that's what's happening now?

Stephanie: Possibly.

Steffy: Then something must've triggered a memory of mom during bridget and nick's wedding.

Stephanie: Well, that's what we think, yeah. It's possible.

Phoebe: Dad still misses mom as much as we do. Doesn't he?

Stephanie: Yes, honey, he does. We all miss your mother, you know that. And we all wish that she could be back here with us, but, you know, that's just something that's going to happen no matter how hard you wish for something like that.

Brooke: You have dirt on your pants. On your shoes.

Ridge: Logan, last night was one of the most incredible nights of my life. Hey, where are the kids? I need to speak with them.

Brooke: I had stephanie take them.

Ridge: Oh, how come?

Brooke: Because I knew that we would be dealing with this when you got home. Ridge, I know what happened. I know that you left the hospital and that you called nick and thorne.

Ridge: Yeah, I needed their help.

Brooke: To dig up taylor's grave? Ridge, that is sacrilege!

Ridge: Brooke, you don't understand.

Brooke: No, I do understand! Taylor would be horrified. And what you did is a crime. It's a felony. God knows what's going to happen now.

Ridge: Logan, it's already happened. And it is wonderful.

Brooke: Ridge -- ridge, you need some help. And I am going to help you.

Ridge: No, I don't really need help, brooke. I really don'T. For the first time in my life, everything seems really clear to me. I know that I'm okay, and what I did last night was all right. Logan, taylor is alive.

Ridge: Brooke, taylor is alive.

Brooke: No, ridge, she's not. And as difficult as this is for you to accept, taylor is gone and she's never coming back. Now, I talked to james. He's out of the country, but he referred us to one of his colleagues. And that doctor could see you first thing in the morning.

Ridge: I don't need the doctor, brooke. I'm fine. In fact, I've never been better.

Brooke: Ridge, you desecrated taylor's grave.

Ridge: I know it sounds crazy.

Brooke: Yes. Yes, it does sound crazy. You should listen to yourself.

Ridge: Maybe it's better the kids aren't around right now. I need to prepare them. And I need to prepare you, too. Taylor and I thought it would take awhile for all of this to sink in, for it to really seem real to everyone.

Brooke: It's not real.

Ridge: Yes, it is, brooke. Taylor is very real. I saw her.

Brooke: So you actually did it? You actually opened the casket?

Ridge: Yes, I dug up the casket, and yes, I opened it. Taylor was not inside.

Brooke: Ridge, yes, she was. She was in the casket, placed into the ground.

Ridge: That wasn't taylor. That was just a dummy. Brooke, we all thought that she had died, but it wasn't her. It was part of this big plan that happened. It was just a prop. None of it was real.

Brooke: Ridge, taylor is not a prop. She was real. We saw her. We said good-bye. She was with you when she died. Please, please, stop talking like this.

Ridge: Brooke, I was wrong. I thought that taylor had died, but she didn'T. She was just hanging on to life.

Brooke: What do you mean, "hanging on"?

Ridge: Omar had taken her body. He was keeping her on life support.

Brooke: Omar?

Ridge: Yes, please listen to me, and please understand. Taylor was in a coma for a very long time. Well, she's out of that coma now. She is alive. That's where I was all last night. I was with taylor.

Brooke: I want to help you, ridge. I do. But you have to tell me you realize that you were only with the memory of taylor last night.

Ridge: I was with her, brooke. I was with her. I know this sounds impossible. If I was in your position, I know how this would look.

Brooke: No matter what you do or say, I am going to be strong for you. But you have to stop. You have to realize that what you're doing is not good for the family. And if you can't think about me, then at least think about the children.

Ridge: I am thinking about the children, and I'm thinking about you, too. I know this is not gonna be easy. I can't even begin to imagine how difficult it's actually gonna be. That's why taylor and I spent the night talking.

[ Brooke gasps ] Brooke, try and imagine how I felt when I first saw her. She was right there in front of me. I couldn't be sure that I wasn't really nuts, but she was there, brooke. I touched her. I touched her skin. It was warm and alive. Taylor is alive, and I need you to understand everything now. I'm not making this up, brooke. If I was, I would be crazy. Look at me. Look me in the eye right now. I am not crazy!

Brooke: Oh, my god. You've just been through so much.

Ridge: What do I have to do to convince you here?!

Brooke: It's not just me, ridge. It's stephanie and eric and bridget. We're all worried about you, and we want you to be yourself. We want to help you be yourself again.

Ridge: Well, then I just need you to believe me.

Brooke: I do. I do. I believe that you believe that taylor is alive. And she is, ridge, in all of our hearts and in spirit. And she'll always be there for you. And for thomas and steffy and phoebe, she is their mother, and she always will be.

Ridge: And now they're gonna have her back.

Brooke: Oh, my god, listen to yourself! You have suffered so many concussions, you don't even know what you're saying.

Ridge: Yes, I do, brooke. More than ever, I sure do. I am not crazy. I'm here now to talk to the children to prepare them and to prepare you --

Brooke: Oh, stop! Just stop it! Taylor is gone, ridge. I am sorry, but she is gone and she's never coming back.

[ Doorbell rings ]

Ridge: That's her. Brooke, wait, let me get this.

Brooke: No.

Ridge: This is gonna be a hell of a shock to you. Please, let me get it.

Brooke: No, I will get it. And when I open that door and it's stephanie or thorne or whoever, you have to promise me, ridge, that you're gonna let me get you some help. You have to promise me that with all of your strength, you are gonna forget about taylor and just let her rest in peace.

Ridge: That's her, brooke.

[ Brooke screams ]
