Ridge: A celebration of our love, of you. That's what tonight's about. That's what the rest of our lives are about. Because nothing can destroy what we have. Nothing, and no one.

Clarke: Don't do it, Amber. You see how happy they are. If you show Brooke that picture of Ridge and Bridget kissing, their marriage will never be the same -- if it survives at all.

Deacon: Jackie, I'm home.

Jackie: Hello, darling.

Deacon: Hey.

Jackie: I'm so glad that you're back.

Deacon: Did you miss me?

Jackie: Actually, I was really worried about you. I was worried that you might be angry with me, that --

Deacon: For what, pulling the plug on my little business trip?

Jackie: You understand, don't you, why I felt I had to?

Deacon: Oh, I understand a lot more now than I did before. But I also think I know the real reason why you don't want me to go.

Jackie: Oh, no. Oh, Deacon, you've been drinking.

Deacon: So what? So what? Who cares? Please. C'mon. C'mon. Tell me you're not gonna give me a lecture right now, all right? Jackie, you know what? I want a lover right now. I don't want a mother. God knows you're old enough to be.

[ Nick mumbling to himself ]

Bridget: What are you doing?

Nick: Oh -- hi. Anytime I'm away from the office, I have a little trouble getting back into the swing of things.

Bridget: Right.

Nick: How's your fingers and toes?

Bridget: Oh, the frostbite? Yeah -- um, yeah.

Nick: Still got 'em all?

Bridget: Yeah, thanks to you. Got me out of that mineshaft just in the Nick of time.

Nick: Yeah, none of that hero worship stuff, okay?

Bridget: Oh, okay.

Nick: Well, maybe just a little.

Bridget: Yeah, well, I mean, you did brave the elements. It was freezing.

Nick: It was below zero, actually.

Bridget: Oh, right. You hato ski, like, a mile into the woods.

Nick: Well, it was three miles.

Bridget: Three.

Nick: Actually, three.

Bridget: Let's say three, yeah. My hero.

[ Phone rings ]

Nick: Yeah, the phone.

Ridge: They're not just words, Logan.

Brooke: I know. Still, there was a time when I didn't feel quite so confident. I can admit that now. Back then, I just wasn't aware of it.

Ridge: Aware of what?

Brooke: All this going on inside of me, these feelings. Feelings that I didn't want to acknowledge, for fear if I did --

[ Brooke sighs ] Seeing that photo of you and Bridget brought back all these unresolved feelings that I didn't even know I had, about you and my daughter.

Ridge: Brooke --

Brooke: No, I know. I know that we're past all that. I just wanted to tell you how I felt when I saw the two of you together. I mean, even before I saw that photo. I should've had joy inside of me when I saw you with Bridget. But instead, I had these feelings of suspicion, thinking back to our wedding day. That betrayal was still with me. And I thought I'd gotten past it. And then amber, she pulled her little stunt, and then everything was out in the open. But it wasn't until you and Bridget searched your hearts, and you told me that there were no feelings between the two of you, and it wasn't until then that my heart finally stopped aching.

Ridge: I'm sorry that you had to go through that. But I promise you that you never have to go through that pain ever again, Logan.

Clarke: They seem so intense. I wonder what's going on?

Amber: With Ridge, who knows? But if you think they're intense now, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Nick: No, I really don't want to get into this right now. Just send me a printout of it, will you? Thanks.

Bridget: Problems?

Nick: No, no, not really. I was just hoping to hear from my mother. I'm just -- I'm a little worried about her. That's all.

Bridget: Oh? Because Deacon's drinking again?

Nick: You heard about that.

Bridget: Yeah. And you know, he's worked so hard to get sober. It doesn't -- it doesn't make any sense to me.

Nick: What do you mean?

Bridget: Well, Deacon falling off the wagon. His life -- it's just finally coming together. Unless -- do you know something that I don't? Did Deacon do this all by himself, or did he have a little help? Did Massimo have something to do with deacon's drinking again?

Jackie: You're right. I am old enough to be your mother. But that never mattered to us before.

Deacon: Look, I'm not trying to be cruel, all right, Jackie? I'm not. It's just -- you know, it hasn't exactly been easy being me lately. Hell, it was no picnic before the booze. You know, I just -- well, what do you think? What do you think? You think I didn't know what people were saying about me behind my back? You think I didn't know that they were saying -- "oh, yeah, look at him, man! He's her little boy-toy! You know, he's just in it for the money." Why the hell wouldn't they think that? I mean, after all, that's just who I am, isn't it? Deacon Sharpe -- stud for hire, hopeless alcoholic!

Jackie: No, that is not true! You are a very dear and sweet and caring man. You rescued me from one of the lowest points of my life.

Deacon: Please, stop!

Jackie: You showed me how to live again --

Deacon: I know! I know! But you know what? It was great! It was great! But it's done!

Jackie: No! Don't say that. We can get it back again. Yes, we can. All you have to do is stop the drinking!

Deacon: You see? See? That -- no! You see? That's what you're missing, okay? The drinking isn't the problem! The drinking is the salvation! Because it's gonna show us what's real! You and me have been living in this fantasy world, pretending that what we have here is just so damn special! It's not! Don't you get it! You and me as a couple? It's pathetic! It's like some sick, pathetic joke. And I want out. I'm done.

Clarke: You do this, amber, you're gonna regret it. Big time.

Amber: I'm not afraid of ridge. This new photo -- it's the proof that I need. You know, ridge, he didn't need to kiss Bridget on the lips, but he did. He could've kissed her on the cheek or on the forehead. But no, no, he kissed her on the lips. That's because he wants her. Ridge will not be able to deny it any longer. Not when he opens this little album and sees the evidence staring right back at him.

Ridge: Hey, hey, hey -- we're celebrating, remember? No tears allowed.

Brooke: Even happy tears? Because I am so happy, Ridge. I am so happy and relieved that that chapter of our lives is over.

Ridge: God, you are so beautiful.

Brooke: Right. I'm beautiful with mascara running down my face. You must really love me.

Ridge: More than you'll ever know, Logan.

Brooke: I'm gonna go clean up the "damage," okay? I'll be right back.

Waiter: Dinner is served.

Ridge: Oh, actually, I think I'm gonna wait until my wife gets back.

Amber: You sure, sir? I have prepared something extra special for you.

Ridge: Look, I don't know what the hell you're up to, amber --

Amber: I have something for you. Something you won't be able to take your eyes off of.

Ridge: Not the damn album again.

Amber: Actually, this one's different. I made a few changes. You should really look at it. And look at it closely. I promise, it will be something you and your wife will never forget.

Ridge: All right. I've taken your little trip down memory lane, okay?

Bridget: Is this true? Did you have something to do with Deacon's drinking?

[ Massimo sighs ]

Massimo: What did you tell her?

Nick: Nothing.

Bridget: I cannot believe that you would do this to an alcoholic.

Massimo: What about what he did to me? Can you believe that, hmm? This vulture broke up my marriage, Bridget. He used my wife the way he used all the women in his life, including you.

Bridget: This was just different. Deacon was different, because of Jackie and his feelings for her. He put her happiness before everything else. If that's not true love, then what is?

[ Massimo scoffs ]

Jackie: It's the alcohol talking, all right? This is not --

Deacon: Yeah, but Jackie, how many different ways do I gotta say this to you?! I can't do it any more! I don't want to do it anymore! I can't be the guy that you want me to be!

Jackie: We'll just get you help --

Deacon: No! I don't want your help, Jackie! You see this? That's who I am!

Jackie: Stop it! Stop it!

Deacon: That's the real Deacon Sharpe! And you stick around, and this is what your future is gonna be! I want you to go, now!

Jackie: I am not leaving you!

Deacon: Yes, you are. You're gonna leave right now!

Jackie: No, I'm not!

Deacon: You are gonna get the hell out of here! And you are gonna leave me forever, and you're not gonna look back! Go, Jackie, go! Get out of here! Just go, Jackie. Just go, baby. Just go and don't you ever look back. You're free. You're free from me now.

Massimo: Apparently, Sharpe's fooled you again. Let me tell you something, Bridget -- Deacon may seem different. But at his core, he hasn't changed a bit. He has brought nothing but pain to the people that he supposedly loves. And it has been no different with Jacqueline.

Bridget: I'm not saying that he hasn't made mistakes. But that doesn't justify getting him to drink again after he's clawed his way back to sobriety.

Massimo: That scum put me in a wheelchair, Bridget! I could have broken his legs!

Bridget: Well, maybe you should have. What you've done is far worse. You've broken his spirit.

Deacon: Oh, Jackie. You get to be with your family. I know how happy that makes you. But man, I miss what we had. I'm gonna miss you so much. I'm gonna miss you forever.

Ridge: Oh, my god. It's a picture of Bridget and me in the mineshaft. How did you get this picture?

Amber: I tried to reason with you, Ridge. But you pushed me to this. I have practically spent my entire adult life trying to be accepted by you -- be accepted by the almighty Ridge Forrester. But what have you done? You've given me the shaft, over and over again. Well, now, you get the shaft. Which is more than ironic, wouldn't you say? Especially when you think of all of those old miners and how they used to go into the shaft to look for gold. And all these years later -- there's still gold in that shaft. Yeah. That's right, Ridge. Manipulative, obsessive Amber Moore has finally hit the mother lode. Seems only fair, given what I've had to put up with from you. Here comes Brooke. What are you going to say to her? How are you going to explain yourself to your wife? It better be good. Because pictures don't lie. Especially this one. Oh, not that Brooke doesn't have a feast for her own eyes waiting for her. How do you think she'll like her filet of betrayal -- with a little incest sauce and some divorce on the side?
