[ Wind howling ]

Ridge: Morning. We made it through the night. Everybody's got to know we're missing by now.

[ Brooke sighs ]

Brooke: Ridge? He didn't come home last night. No messages, either. Oh, my god. Where could he be?

Clarke: Have you been up all night?

Amber: Yeah, so was Ridge.

Clarke: It's five degrees outside.

Amber: I know.

Clarke: Bridget and Ridge have been in that mine shaft all night? Amber, this is nuts. We've got to get them out of there.

Amber: Not yet, okay?

Clarke: This has gone on long enough. Somebody's gonna get hurt.

Amber: No. They just need a little more time. I mean, look at them. It's gonna happen, Clarke. My plan's working.

[ Wind howling ]

Bridget: How long have I been out?

Ridge: It's morning.

Bridget: So we've been here all night and no one's come by. You didn't hear anything up there?

Ridge: Somebody will find us. It's just a matter of time.

Thomas: Brooke, what's going on?

Brooke: Your dad's car is not in the driveway, and Bridget and Ridge have been gone all night.

Thomas: They're probably still up at the cabin.

Brooke: No, no. They would've called. And I tried Big Bear and nobody was answering.

Thomas: Maybe they hit bad weather on the way home and stopped for the night.

Brooke: He still would have called. Thomas, something is wrong.

[ Knock at the door ]

Nick: Hey.

Brooke: Oh, Nick.

Nick: Bridget home?

Brooke: No. No, she's not.

Nick: She left her phone in my car. What's going on?

Thomas: Dad and Bridget aren't home yet.

Nick: They should have been home yesterday.

Brooke: Yes, after Bridget went cross-country skiing. But they didn't. Nobody's even heard from them. I'm afraid something terrible has happened.

Bridget: people should be searching for us. Mom -- mom was expecting us home last night.

Ridge: They probably couldn't start looking until the sun comes up. Can you stand up?

Bridget: I don't know. Oh, be careful. Oh, wait, wait.

Ridge: Somebody's gonna find us soon.

Bridget: Uh-huh.

Ridge: You just have to hang in there a little longer, okay? Bridget: Yeah. Help! Help, we're down here!

Ridge: Hello!

Bridget: Help!

Ridge: Is anybody up there? Help!

Nick: Come on, now. This isn't like you to jump to worst case scenarios like this.

Brooke: It's not like my husband to stay out all night.

Nick: Maybe I should go up there and look around, huh?

Brooke: Oh, would you?

Nick: Why don't you call highway patrol, just to see if any accidents have been reported.

Thomas: I'll call the neighbors to see if they know anything.

Nick: Good. We'll find 'em.

Brooke: Okay. They're fine. They're fine.

Bridget: Help!

Ridge: Anybody!

Bridget: Help.

Ridge: Hello?

Bridget: We're down here.

Ridge: Anybody.

Clarke: Amber, Ridge and Bridget, they're freezing down there.

Amber: They're fine. I know what I'm doing.

Clarke: You're a doctor? You can spot hypothermia on a TV screen?

Amber: I'm not going to leave them down there forever. Just a little more longer.

Clarke: Either you get them out of there, or I can't be a part of this.

Amber: Give my plan a chance to work.

Clarke: They've been down there all night. There is nothing going on between Ridge and Bridget. They're cold, and they're scared, and they're in a lot of danger. Either you get them out of there now, or I will. I'm going to place a call to mountain rescue.

Amber: Don't you dare. You're an accomplice now, Clarke. If I go down, so do you. It won't be much longer. I just need a little more time.

Bridget: Help! Help!

Ridge: Anybody, help!

Bridget: Help!

[ Bridget coughs ]

Ridge: Come on, let's sit down, give it a rest.

Bridget: No, we have to keep yelling.

Ridge: Sit down. No, sit down.

Bridget: No. We have to keep yelling. Help! Somebody's gonna hear us.

Ridge: Give it a rest. Look, we can't panic here, all right? -- we're not in any immediate danger.

Bridget: Yes, we are, Ridge. That's what I keep trying to tell you. If our core temperatures keep dropping, our muscles will cramp up. We're gonna start hallucinating. Eventually, our hearts will start to beat irregularly, and if we don't warm up, they'll stop.

Ridge: The sun's out. It's got to warm up in here some.

Bridget: It's still cold enough for -- for hypothermia to set in. You're shivering. Are -- are your hands numb? Your toes?

Ridge: A little.

Bridget: Here, take this.

Ridge: No.

Bridget: Take it.

Ridge: No, no, no, no, no, no.

Bridget: Take it. Yes, you need to take it.

Ridge: No.

Bridget: You're showing the first signs already.

Ridge: What about you? Look, you keep that on there. You're not gonna need it much longer anyway, 'cause someone's gonna find us real soon. Real soon. Hello! Help!

Bridget: Hello!

Ridge: Anybody! We're down here!

Bridget: Help us, please.

Ridge: Hello!

Bridget: Help us. Please help us. I signed up for this dorm.

Clarke: Anything?

Amber: No. Look, Clarke, I don't want Ridge and Bridget to get hurt anymore than you do. I mean, that's not what this is about.

Clarke: Well, that's exactly what could happen if you leave them down there.

Amber: Well, I know that I'm pushing the envelope, but that's what it's gonna take to get them to act on their feelings for each other.

Clarke: What, you're waiting for them to kiss?

Amber: Oh, no, no. Huh-uh. Once the cork is popped off all that tension, you won't have to worry about them being cold anymore.

Clarke: All right. Let's say they hook up. What's the point?

Amber: I was right, Clarke. That is the point. And once I have proof, if I can get it on tape, then ridge won't be able to talk his way out of it anymore.

Clarke: And you break up their family. What, is Thomas supposed to be grateful?

Amber: He wouldn't have broken up with me if he understood what I was trying to do. Ridge, he just twisted it all around. I mean, he made me look crazy and vindictive. I am not the one with the problems, Clarke. Ridge is.

Clarke: All right, I get it. But did you think about this -- what happens if somebody finds them before your plan comes to fruition? What about that?

Thomas: Thanks, Mr. Howard. You've been a big help.

Brooke: What?

Thomas: Dad's car's still in the driveway.

Brooke: So Ridge and Bridget are still up there.

Thomas: Yeah. He looked in the window. There's no fire. Nobody's home.

Brooke: Oh, my god. Bridget was going cross-country skiing yesterday, and Ridge was gonna wait for her. But what if Bridget never came home, and what if Ridge went out to look for her? Call mountain rescue, okay, and I'll tell Nick that Ridge and Bridget might have been stuck on the mountain all night.

[ Cell phone rings ]

Nick: Hello?

Brooke: Nick, it's me. Ridge's car is up at the cabin, so he must have gone out looking for Bridget. What if they were outside all night? It was really cold last night.

Nick: Well, I'm sure they were dressed for it. They both know the mountain well. I don't know, maybe somebody could have very easily taken them in. Just keep me posted on what you find out. I'll do the same. I'm sure they're fine.

Ridge: Somebody help us! Help!

Bridget: Can you hear us?

Ridge: Help. Anybody? We're down here! Help!

[ Ridge coughs ] Bridget -- Bridget -- hey. How are you doing?

Bridget: I -- I should have stayed in Copenhagen.

Ridge: It's not cold enough for you?

Bridget: I shouldn't have come home. I should have just stayed and solved my problems by myself.

Ridge: We're not down here because you came home.

Bridget: I wouldn't have fallen. You would never have come to look for me.

Ridge: That was an accident.

[ Ridge coughs ]

Bridget: You and mom -- you and mom were so happy. The family and -- kids. Now, you may -- you may never see them again, Ridge.

Ridge: No, Bridget, come on. Come on now.

Bridget: I just messed everything up.

Ridge: Okay, just -- you're just not thinking clearly.

Bridget: You shouldn't be here with me.

Ridge: Hey, can you feel your hands? Can you feel this?

Bridget: Oh, no. Oh, no.

Ridge: Look, we just -- we just have to get moving and somehow just warm up, just warm up.

Bridget: Hypothermia.

Ridge: Let me massage your arm.

Bridget: No, you can't do that. Don't do that. Please. All of the cold blood will rush to my heart. You have to -- you have to keep the core warm. You have to keep the core warm.

Ridge: What about the frostbite?

Bridget: Are you -- if someone doesn't come to find us soon, we're not gonna make it. We won't survive this.

Clarke: Amber, Bridget doesn't look so good. We've got to get them out of there. Look, even if you get an incriminating picture, it doesn't change anything. Brooke is gonna forgive Ridge. She always does. She's gonna forgive him and sweep everything under the rug.

Amber: No, not this time. This time, Ridge is going to be exposed for the hypocrite he is. Where does he get off calling my relationship with Thomas "sick"? Once Brooke kicks him out, then Thomas and I will be able to start over again.

Thomas: Yes, yes, that's what I'm trying to tell you. No, no, no, we haven't --

Brooke: Hello? Who is this?

Hamilton: This is ranger Hamilton.

Brooke: My husband and daughter may have been stuck on the mountain all night. Now, I know they're not lost, 'cause they know the area too well. I really think that something happened to them.

[ Cell phone rings ]

Thomas: That could be them. I'll take this. Oh, yeah, my dad, he's --

Brooke: Hello?

Nick: Hey, it's me. I'm up at the cabin. They're not here. I did find a note. He must have left for Bridget.

Brooke: What does it say?

Nick: "Going out to look for you. Took the west trail. If you get back before I do, stay put."

Thomas: Bridget --

Brooke: Ridge took the west trail. Neither one of them are back yet.

Thomas: Okay, they took the west trail.

Brooke: Oh, god, Nick. I had a feeling this happened. So they've been stuck outside on the mountain, and it was freezing cold --

Nick: I'm heading out to look for them now.

Brooke: Just hurry, please. For god's sakes, hurry.

Thomas: They're getting a search party together.

Brooke: Yeah. Nick is looking for them, too. God, what could have happened to them?

Thomas: Nick is gonna find them, all right? He's never let you down before, right?

[ Wind howling ]

Bridget: This is all my fault.

Ridge: No, it's not.

Bridget: We're not gonna make it.

Ridge: Don't say that.

Bridget: But if --

Ridge: Say that, that's just the hypothermia talking.

Bridget: It's -- it's only gonna get worse.

Ridge: You've got to fight it. You've got to fight it now.

Bridget: I know, but -- oh, I can't. I can't. I just can't.

Ridge: Yes, you can. Yes, you can. Bridget, there are people out there looking for us. And they're going to find us. You have to believe that they're gonna find us. Just -- just hang on. Come on. Come on. Just hold on. Hold on!

Amber: See, see! See, I told you, I told you! It's finally happening. Oh, come on, come on, Ridge. Hold her, hug her, give her strength. Oh, Bridget needs you. Uh-huh, you've waited Oh, I know you want to do it. Do it. Do it, Ridge. Go for it.
