Bridget: Help! Somebody, please help! Is there anybody up there? Help! Help! Hello? Hello!

[ Wind blowing ]

Ridge: Bridget! Bridget!

Bridget: Hello! Can anybody hear me?

Amber: It looks like Bridget's totally recovered from that fall.

Clarke: She could've broken her neck.

Amber: You know what, Clarke? I feel bad enough as it is, okay?

Clarke: You think you feel bad now? Wait until the Forresters find out you're behind this stunt.

Amber: I guarantee you, before the night is over, Ridge and Bridget will be snuggled up together in that mine and I will have all the proof I need for my case. It won't be long now, Thomas.

Thomas: So much for reading Hope a story.

Brooke: Why? She fell asleep?

Thomas: Yeah. This early, can you believe that?

Brooke: Well, it was a long drive back from big bear. R.J. Conked out, too.

Thomas: It looks like you're about to join them.

Brooke: I want to wait for your dad and Bridget to get home.

Thomas: That could be a while. You know how hard it is to pull Bridget off the trails.

Brooke: I hope she doesn't make him wait forever.

Thomas: Yeah, well, it'll serve him right for creaming me in battleship yesterday.

Brooke: It was nice to see you two playing together.

Thomas: Yeah. Things aren't exactly the way they used to be, but we're getting there.

Brooke: Well, at least you understand that your father had legitimate reasons for wanting to keep you away from Amber.

Thomas: Doesn't mean she's a bad person.

Brooke: No. I didn't say that. But she does make bad choices. Especially when she wants something that she can't have.

Thomas: Like me?

Brooke: Like you. And the Forrester family. Being a part of the family has been an obsession to her. And when somebody's that desperate, trouble is bound to follow.

Massimo: You're going to listen to me now. It's only fair, isn't it? After all the months I had to endure the garbage that came out of your filthy mouth while I was confined to that wheelchair?

Deacon: I can't breathe.

Massimo: You can't breathe! Aww. Now you know exactly the way I felt. Unable to take a breath on my own. The sheer pleasure that you took out of tormenting me. Mocking me. Reminding me of everything that I'd lost. Everything that you stole from me. You loved that, didn't you? Of course you did. It made you feel superior. Where's your superiority now, you germ?

Jackie: Massimo, massimo, please --

Sally: Can we have some help over here, please?

Jackie: Please help him get up.

Nick: Sit down before you fall down, Sharpe.

Jackie: It's okay. It's okay, Deacon. You're going to get through this.

Massimo: Will he? Will you, Deacon? Do you have it in you to do what I did? Huh? To hit rock bottom and stand back up again? Are you man enough to do that? Are you?

Massimo: I asked you a question, Sharpe. Answer me.

Deacon: I don't have to answer you.

Massimo: But you do have to answer to her. And so far, you know what I think? You're really doing a pretty lousy job of it. You cost her her family -- something she wanted all her life. A family that could've given her security, stability, love. Now she has none of that anymore, because of you. This is the way you pay her back, huh? This is your idea of devotion?

Jackie: Massimo, he's trying.

Massimo: What the hell are you talking about? Trying? You're calling this trying? You know, for everything that you have to live for, I would think that you would at least try to embrace life. Who knows, maybe one day you will surprise me. You'll prove that maybe you're not the weakling that I think you are. You know, Deacon, the test of a man is how he comes back from adversity. So, this is your chance -- to show who you are and what you are.

Jackie: Deacon doesn't need to prove anything.

Massimo: The hell he doesn't. You want her? Then show her that you deserve her.

Clarke: Okay, Amber, say you get Ridge to fall into the mineshaft -- say he survives the fall, do you think he's going to have romance on his mind?

Amber: How could two people who are already attracted to each other, stuck in a tiny, little space, flesh pressing up against flesh --

Clarke: Hungry and freezing to the point of hypothermia? Amber, this isn't a game. We're talking about people's lives here. Okay, okay. Let's just call mountain rescue. We'll tell them we heard a woman screaming near the mineshaft, and then we'll blow this Popsicle stand before somebody catches on to us. Come on -- you know it's the right thing to do.

Amber: Right for Ridge, you mean. No. He has had way too many breaks. No, it's my turn now. Mine and Thomas's. This is our one shot to have a life together and I'm not going to blow it now. Ah -- there's Ridge. Oh, he's getting close to the mine. We've gotta go.

Clarke: What's that for?

Amber: Just let's go, Clarke, okay? Here, grab the bag.

Clarke: Amber, what do you have planned?

Amber: Come on.

Ridge: Bridget! Bridget, answer me! Damn it, where are you?

Bridget: Hello! Hello! Hello! Can anybody hear me? Don't all come at once! Hello!

Ridge: Oh, this is crazy. She could be anywhere. Bridget's skis? Why would she just leave them here? What the heck is going on?

Ridge: Bridget? Where are you?! More than one set of tracks. Oh, princess, I'm coming.

Bridget: Where is a flare when you need one? Oh, gosh. Oh, you're gonna figure something out. You'll figure it out. It's okay. It's okay. You're gonna be alright.

Massimo: Go ahead, Ted. Whoa, whoa. Hold it! Hold it!

Nick: Oh -- glad I caught you.

Massimo: Listen, I'm sorry I cut our time short.

Nick: Well, I can't imagine you'd want to stick around in there with that going on. Especially since you accomplished your objective.

Massimo: My objective?

Nick: Yeah. Why you wanted me to come to that restaurant, why you wanted me here today -- because you wanted me to see that, didn't you? You wanted me to see Sharpe circling the drain. You set him up, didn't you? Don't bother denying it because you already practically admitted it with this little -- what was it? -- "Experiment" you were talking about. You found a way to get him back on the booze, didn't you?

[ Wind blowing ]

Amber: Okay -- there's the mineshaft. Get the rope. Come on.

Bridget: Hello? Hello? Hello, is somebody there? Can you hear me? Can you hear me? Please! Please, can you hear me? Help me! Is anybody there?

Ridge: Bridget! Bridget! Bridget!

Bridget: Ridge, is that you? Ridge, I'm down here! I'm in the mineshaft! Ridge! Can you hear me?

Ridge: Yeah. Bridget, hey!

Bridget: Oh, god. Thank god. Please get me out of here. Just get me out of here.

Ridge: All right. Just calm down. I'll get you out. Are you okay? Anything broken?

Bridget: No. Just a bruised ego! Don't you dare call me a klutz.

Ridge: All right. Just hang tight. Just keep calm. I'll get you out of there. Hey! I've got a rope.

Bridget: Oh, thank goodness. Oh, god, I'm gonna get out of here. Hurry, please, hurry.

Ridge: All right, heads up. Here it comes.

Bridget: Hey, Ridge -- I don't think I can. My fingers are frozen.

Ridge: All right. Okay. All right, I'm coming down. Heads up down there.

Bridget: Watch out. Ooh. You've got it. Be careful. Get your foot to the right. Oh, oh, okay. This is so dangerous. Oh, okay. That's awesome. Ooh. Ooh. Yeah, you've got it. Okay. Just be careful. Be careful.

[ Bridget screaming ]

Bridget: No, Ridge! No! Ridge! Ridge, can you hear me? Answer me! Ridge! Oh, my god. No. Ridge! No, no! No, ridge! Please answer me! Please say something!

Nick: You had somebody spike the protein shakes he drinks, I mean --

Massimo: Ignite his cravings. And take him back to the fires of hell, where I was when he took advantage. Turnabout is fair play, my dear Dominick, and justice has now been served. Oh, I could have crushed him if I had chose to. Let jealousy, foolishness take over, but I'm a better man than that. Instead, I placed Deacon's fate in his own hands. The challenge is set if he's worthy of your mother, so be it. If not, and I am certain that he is not, then I've saved your mother from a horrible fate. As for deacon, for all I care, he can rot in hell.

Brooke: They should've been home by now. Out of service area. Well, aren't you taking your sweet time getting down the mountain? Or maybe Bridget convinced you to stop off at a restaurant at the lodge. Anyway, I'm at home. I'm going to take a quick nap. So why don't you wake me up when you get in, okay? I love you.

Bridget: Ridge? Ridge? Oh, thank god, Ridge.

[ Ridge groans ] Can you hear me? You're really bleeding. Are you okay?

Ridge: What the hell happened?

Bridget: Look at me. Look at me. Do you know where you are?

Ridge: Do you?

Bridget: I'm being serious. You hit your head pretty hard, there.

Ridge: Okay.

Bridget: Who am I?

Ridge: You're my princess.

Bridget: So what happened with that rope?

Ridge: I'm not sure.

Bridget: What was it tied to? You can't remember, can you? Look, you might have a concussion. You need to lean up against the wall.

Ridge: Oh, I just can't stay here and not do anything.

Bridget: Well, I have tried everything. There's no way to get out of here.

Ridge: You tried everything?

Bridget: Oh, god, you have a cell phone. Oh, thank god.

Ridge: Oh, damn.

Bridget: There's no signal, huh?

Ridge: I don't know why I would expect there to be one. It's not like we're off in the middle of nowhere. How'd you get so far off the trail anyway?

Bridget: There was this woman crying for help.

Ridge: What happened to her?

Bridget: I don't know. She disappeared. The next thing I knew, I was falling.

Ridge: We're going to get out of here. They'll send a rescue team for us.

Bridget: Not till morning at the earliest.

Ridge: Maybe sooner. Don't worry. Time will go by fast.

Bridget: Thank you so much for coming to look for me.

Ridge: Just thank god I found you. I am going to get us out of here.

Bridget: Promise?

Ridge: I promise. Come here.

Amber: Oh, come on! I'm dying to know what's going on down there.

Clarke: Do you have to use the word "dying"?

Amber: See, what did I tell you? Ridge is fine.

Clarke: For now. But you heard the weather report. The temperature's supposed to drop another ten degrees.

Amber: That's it, you two. Get nice and cozy. Ain't she cute, Ridge? I know you want her. It's okay. Go for it. And when you do, don't forget to smile for the camera. It'll be the last time you smile for a long, long time.
