Ridge: Hope and R.J. All right?

Brooke: Sound asleep.

Bridget: Well, it's been a pretty long day for all of us.

Thomas: You wanted me to come up, so I did. I don't have to be happy about it, though.

Ridge: It's not being here that's put you in this mood.

Thomas: I don't want to talk about Amber.

Nick: Hey, there's nothing wrong with being single. Look at Bridget and me -- we're not moping around.

Thomas: Please. A catch like Bridget? She's not gonna stay single for long.

Brooke: You're not single. You're a teenager.

Thomas: I'm just not going to meet anyone like amber again. I know you guys didn't like her, but she was good for me.

Nick: Uh-hmm. You know, there's nothing like a wild one. I remember when I was your age; I had this hot little --

Ridge: All right. All right. Do you mind? Look, we came up here to be together as a family. To put this whole disaster with Amber behind us. I know it's got to be hard for you to be stuck here with all of us. But I'm not going to let you obsess about Amber. You're better off without her. In fact, we all are. Amber Moore is not going to interfere with this family ever again.

Amber: If it wasn't for Ridge, I'd be there right now.

Clarke: What are they doing?

Amber: Eating dinner.

Clarke: That sounds good. Let's order something.

Amber: I know Thomas misses me.

Clarke: Honey, that's a telescope, not a mind-reading machine.

Amber: I can tell what he's feeling, okay? He's just as upset as I am.

Clarke: Is he in on this, too?

Amber: No.

Clarke: That's a shame -- he could take my place. I'd be glad to give up my spot.

Amber: Look, if I could do this myself, I would. Now, pay attention. The mine should be right around here. Okay?

Clarke: Uh-huh.

Amber: What are you waiting for? Put your coat on.

Clarke: Look, I am all for taking Ridge down a peg, but I just want to know how you plan to do it.

Amber: I think it's best if you don't know.

Clarke: Does it have anything to do with this box?

Amber: Oh, be careful! Be careful.

Clarke: Are we taking this with us?

Amber: Yes.

Clarke: What is it for?

Amber: All you need to know is that when I've done what I came here to do, there will no longer be an almighty Ridge. Come on.

Nick: I'm just saying that there are advantages to being a free man.

Ridge: We are not talking about Amber.

Nick: I'm not.

Brooke: Nick's right. You don't need to be in a relationship right now.

Nick: But if you want to be in one, talk to Bridget. She can set you up. She's a hell of a matchmaker.

Bridget: I did it for you. I'm not making a career out of it.

Brooke: You set him up?

Nick: With a perfect match.

Ridge: I can't imagine what she'd be like.

Nick: Sasha? God, what an animal.

Thomas: She was that hot, huh?

Nick: No. No, I mean, she was an animal.

Bridget: An orangutan.

Brooke: What?

Ridge: Like you said, your perfect match.

Bridget: Oh, you have no idea. The way he eats -- his messy boat, his social skills.

Ridge: Good point.

Nick: You think?

[ Laughter ]

Bridget: No, but seriously, Nick was a perfect gentleman to Sasha. She thoroughly enjoyed their date.

Brooke: Date?

Thomas: You're kidding?

Nick: No. We had a great time. I got her tree number, if you're interested.

Thomas: Me?

Nick: Yeah, it didn't work out for us. I just wasn't sophisticated enough for her.

Thomas: Yeah, um -- I'm not going to go out with an orangutan.

Nick: I thought you were into the wild ones, you said.

Thomas: I prefer to stick to my own species.

Nick: All right, suit yourself. She wasn't much of a talker, but she sure could handle a banana.

Amber: I think we're getting close. Clarke, I think this is it. This is, this is the mine, yeah!

Clarke: It's not on the map.

Amber: Well, it's abandoned. Here. Help me pry open this up. Let's pry the boards off of it, okay? Yeah, that's it.

Nick: I was very depressed, you know? I begged Sasha to see me again, she said no.

Bridget: I'm sorry, Nick. I had rather hoped it'd work out.

Thomas: Yeah. Being shot down by a monkey -- ouch.

Nick: I thought about sending her a whole bouquet of bananas. Does that sound a little desperate to you guys?

Brooke: Don't worry, you'll find the right woman someday.

Thomas: Or primate.

Nick: Is that what this family does, do you skewer the guests after dinner?

Bridget: No. Normally, we would play a board game. But teasing you is so much more fun.

Nick: A board game?

Ridge: Not your idea of fun, huh?

Nick: You give me a deck of cards, we'll have a little action.

Bridget: How about a puzzle?

Thomas: I'd rather go to bed.

Ridge: Yeah, I'm kind of beat, too.

Nick: Probably time for me to take off, actually.

Bridget: Now?

Nick: I have a meeting in the afternoon tomorrow. And the way this weather's dropping, I'm not doing anymore skiing.

Bridget: Actually, I don't think you should go. Not tonight. Those roads are going to be really icy and the switchbacks can be treacherous.

Brooke: You know what? She's probably right. You wouldn't want to get stuck out there tonight.

Thomas: You can crash with me in the bunkroom.

Nick: Just like being back on a ship.

Brooke: There's blankets in the hallway closet, and there's extra towels in the bathroom.

Nick: Gotcha.

Thomas: And don't worry about waking me up when you come in. I'm so tired; I'd probably sleep through an avalanche. All right, good night.

Nick: 'Night.

Brooke: Come on, Ridge, let's go to bed.

Ridge: Yeah. Hey, nick, do us a favor and don't keep Bridget up too late. We'd like to get an early start and get in a few runs before lunch. Okay?

Brooke: Good night.

Bridget: Good night.

Nick: 'Night. Well, looks like it's just you and me now, kid.

Bridget: Yeah. What do you want to do?

Amber: Okay. Here, Clarke. Drop this down the shaft, okay?

Clarke: We're going down there?

Amber: I'm going down there. You are going to stay here and hold onto this so I know I can get back up.

Clarke: Well, it's dangerous. Why do you think they boarded up this mine to begin with?

Amber: Well, I'm not going to be down there for very long.

Clarke: Where are you going?

Amber: I need this stuff.

Clarke: You're taking that box with you?

Amber: Well, I'm not going to have you throw it down to me. It's very, very fragile. So I need you to hold onto that ladder because if I drop this, then that is the end of my plan. Hold on really tight, okay? I don't want to slip.

Clarke: All right. Come on over.

Amber: Okay.

Clarke: Careful.

Amber: I will. I will.

Clarke: Okay, this is secure.

Amber: Okay, got it?

Clarke: Do you see --

Amber: This the edge?

Clarke: --The first step?

Amber: I know, I got it.

Clarke: Got it?

Amber: Yeah. Woo!

Clarke: Oh, I got you!

Amber: I got it. I got it. I got it. I know! I know, just hold onto it.

Clarke: I got you.

Amber: Hold on, okay? Oh, okay. Okay, I got it.

Clarke: All right.

Amber: Oh! Okay.

Bridget: Hey.

Nick: Hey.

Bridget: By the way -- thank you.

Nick: For what?

Bridget: Cheering Thomas up.

Nick: Oh. Yeah, he seemed pretty down, didn't he?

Bridget: Yeah, he was. But, not anymore.

Nick: Of course, everyone had a good laugh at my expense.

Bridget: Oh, we were laughing with you.

Nick: If I remember correctly, you were laughing the loudest.

Bridget: You just have that effect on me.

Nick: What's that? That I amuse you?

Bridget: Among other things.

Nick: What would those be? Apish? Unsophisticated?

Bridget: You're just a little rough around the edges.

Nick: Well, it ain't changing, so don't think about it.

Bridget: I wouldn't change a thing.

Nick: Well, I guess I should thank you, too.

Bridget: Yeah?

Nick: For inviting me up here. It was a -- I guess it was a good idea.

Bridget: You think so?

Nick: Where else would I rather be other than the top of a mountain on the coldest day of the year?

Bridget: Come on. You had fun.

Nick: I do wish we'd have gotten to the puzzle.

[ Bridget laughs ]

Bridget: You know, you've been a good friend, Nick.

Nick: Is that what we are? Friends?

Bridget: Aren't we?

Amber: Hold the ladder, I'm coming up.

Clarke: I've got a bad feeling about this.

Amber: Okay. I'm finished.

Clarke: All right, come on. Come on. I've got you. I've got you. I've got you.

Amber: Okay. What's the matter with you?

Clarke: What was in the box?

Brooke: I miss spending time here.

Ridge: Yeah. Lotta good memories.

Brooke: Uh-hmm. We're gonna have a lot more. But not tomorrow.

Ridge: Are you sure you want to leave?

Brooke: It's freezing here. It's not fair to leave hope and R.J. All cooped up.

Ridge: Dad could use your help back at Forrester.

Brooke: You talked to him earlier. How's he doing?

Ridge: Maybe this wasn't such a great time to leave town.

Brooke: We needed this. You and Thomas. Bridget. Bridget and Nick have been having a good time.

Ridge: She says they're getting close.

Brooke: They're becoming good friends.

Ridge: Are you sure that's all that it is?

Brooke: What do you mean?

Ridge: Are they just friends?

Brooke: Yes.

Ridge: Well, I've been here all day and I'm picking up on something else. Just before you guys got here, I asked Nick about it.

Brooke: What'd he say?

Ridge: We didn't get a chance to finish our conversation, but he didn't deny it.

Brooke: Deny what? Of course, he cares about Bridget. He's helping her through this hard time. And he's obviously doing a good job of it.

Ridge: So you didn't see anything else? From Bridget?

Brooke: No. She set him up on a date. And you don't do that if you're interested in somebody.

Ridge: She set him up with an orangutan.

Brooke: Well, he set her up, too.

Ridge: Yeah, with supposedly the perfect guy, but she wouldn't go.

Brooke: She's not interested in dating anybody. Nothing is going on between Nick and Bridget.

We get it on most every night when that moon gets big and bright it's supernatural delight everybody was dancin' in the moonlight you know what I'm saying everybody here is out of sight they don't bark and they don't bite they keep things loose they keep things light everybody was dancin' in the moonlight everybody dancin' in the moonlight

Amber: Come on, Clarke. Hand me some more branches.

Clarke: You're covering up that hole?

Amber: Well, I'd be able to do it much faster if you'd just help me.

Clarke: If you keep covering up the hole like that, somebody's going to fall in.

[ Phone rings ]

Amber: Oh, keep doing that, okay? Hey!

Thomas: Amber, it's me.

Amber: I'm so happy. I was hoping you'd call.

Thomas: How are you doing?

Amber: I miss you. I know you're still upset with me. But I haven't given up hope on us.

Thomas: I just wanted to make sure you're okay.

Amber: It's been hard -- knowing that you've lost faith in me and that your family's just turned against me.

Thomas: They have every right to be angry.

Amber: I was just trying to help. I really was. I did not show that picture to Brooke to cause any trouble. I swear I didn't. But your dad, you know, he wouldn't accept that. You know, he'd rather make me out to look like the enemy than just face his own mistakes.

Thomas: I don't want to get into this.

Amber: You know, he really needs a wake-up call, Thomas. I mean, you all do.

Thomas: What you did was wrong, Amber. It hurt a lot of people.

Amber: Go ahead. Right. Shoot the messenger. You know, I will never, ever get a fair shot as long as the almighty Ridge is running the family and calling the shots. Listen, I -- I've got to go. I'm right in the middle of something.

Thomas: Amber, wait -- I don't want you blaming my dad for this. What happened to us -- it's not his fault.

Amber: I love you, Thomas. And I want you to remember that no matter what happens. Everything I'm doing, I'm doing for us.

Clarke: Talking with Thomas?

Amber: Yeah.

Clarke: Look, Amber, I've got to ask you something, okay? I don't know what you have planned, but are you sure you're doing the right thing?

Amber: Somebody's got to put a stop to Ridge's arrogance. It looks like I'm the only one who can do it.

Ridge: So you don't agree with me?

Brooke: No.

Ridge: You haven't noticed anything strange about the way Bridget and Nick have been acting around each other?

Brooke: Bridget is too smart to let anything happen with Nick.

Ridge: So there could be an attraction?

Brooke: Between Bridget and another man that I was involved with? Absolutely not. She would never put herself in that position.

Ridge: Nick says he's over you.

Brooke: That's not the issue.

Ridge: You're not concerned that he might still have feelings for you, though?

Brooke: He moved on. Eventually he'll meet somebody and fall in love. But it won't be my daughter.

Ridge: Exactly. That's why I'm concerned about what I've been seeing, Logan.

Brooke: That's sweet of you to worry. But you don't need to, really. Nick and Bridget are just friends.

Ridge: Okay.

Brooke: Look, if it will make you feel any better, I'll keep an eye out.

Ridge: You're going to check on them now?

Brooke: No. I'm going to check on R.J. And Hope. Make sure that they're both bundled up and warm.

Nick: You still cold?

Bridget: No, I'm fine. The fire's nice.

Nick: Yeah, it is.

Bridget: Am I crushing you?

Nick: No.

Bridget: It's late, huh?

Nick: You tired?

Bridget: I'm not the one with a meeting tomorrow.

Nick: If you need to go to bed --

Bridget: No, I'm fine. But -- since, you know, you have to get up early --

Nick: Maybe we should just call it a night.

Bridget: Yeah. Well, good night.
