 [ Applause ]

Thorne: Lookin' good.

Darla: Yeah. Congratulations, sweetie.

**************************************************************

Jarrett: Spectra's off to an amazing start with a truly inspired gown, which absolutely defines the term "Couture elegance." This second fashion showdown between the dazzlingly revamped Spectra and grande dame design stalwart Forrester Creations will determine a shift of power in Los Angeles fashion.

[ Applause ] If Spectra Couture can beat Forrester, then Eric's son, Thorne, will remain sally spectra's president. But Eric Forrester has never been bested on his own runway. And he's banking on that sterling record to win him a very personal victory. If Forrester triumphs, Thorne resigns and returns to run Forrester Creations alongside his father. Since Ridge's departure, Forrester has been in an uncharacteristic slump. However, their first offering today would seem to indicate Eric and his new mother/daughter design team are very much back in the game. It's all being determined today by the applause of the critics and the press here in this room.

******************************************************

Brooke: That was a fantastic reaction, Eric.

Eric: Yeah. Well, so was Spectra's. What's going on here? Let, let me do this.

Model: Help me out here, please?

Eric: What's going one?

Brooke: You and Caitlin and Sam have made many improvements since the last preview, so just try to relax, okay?

Eric: Look, I cant. I can't relax. The stakes are too high. This is the biggest battle of our career. Because the prize is my son coming home. I can't relax until I've won this thing.

*****************************************************

[ Applause ]

I know where you live now and I want to live there too I drive by almost everyday it's not even nearly on my way

Jarrett: Spectra couture appears to be on a roll with two more knockout must-haves in seafoam and turquoise. Beautiful beaded bodices with fabulous flowing skirts.

***********************************************************

Clarke:: I think this will hold. Make sure it's secure.

[ Chatter ]

Darla: Listen to that applause -- they love us!

Sally: Yes, they are a remarkably enthusiastic group.

Darla: Especially those girls in the back.

[ Applause ] You know, they don't look like any fashion press I've ever seen.

Sally: Oh, really? Are you saying that I smuggled four ringers into the audience to give this snooty crowd a little juice?

Darla: Who are they?

Sally: An adorably peppy pom-pom squad.

Darla: They're cheerleaders?

Sally: They are very well-behaved girls.

Darla: Sally, this is a high-class event.

Sally: Don't worry, everything is under control. The only thing you need to worry about is winning this competition and keeping your husband at spectra couture, where he belongs.

*******************************************************************

Jarrett: Sally Spectra has not outgrown her taste for trash and flash. Fortunately, this journalist along with his colleagues are above such cheap theatrics and will be making our decision solely based on what comes sashaying down the runway.

[ Applause ] Speaking of which, here come the next two offerings from Forrester Creations.

Jarrett: These gowns make a statement, all right. And they're not saying "wear me to the oscars."

**************************************************************

Caitlin: Mom, that doesn't sound good.

Samantha: It doesn't sound like much of anything.

Brooke: Eric --

Eric: You don't have to say it. We've hit the wall. Samantha, Caitlin! Program change -- we're going with the fur stole for the wedding gown.

Samantha: Eric, are you sure? I thought you decided against that last night.

Eric: I changed my mind.

Caitlin: All right. Right away, Mr. Forrester.

Samantha: Caitlin, I'll help you.

Brooke: Eric, I'm not sure if you should be making changes. We're in the middle of a show.

Eric: It's not a show, Brooke. It's a fight for my family. It's a fight I'm going to win. This year, you'll powder,

*****************************************************

[ Applause ]

Sally: This is incredible, you two! They're eating it up. We're a fashion miracle.

Darla: Listen to that.

Thorne: I can hear it. We still have the showstoppers left.

*************************************************************

Jarrett: Under the flawless hand of Thorne Forrester, Spectra continues their glamorous assault on the world of couture with their most delicious designs to date. I have to say, I'm particularly mad about the black-beaded chiffon, which pushes their signature silhouette to new heights. Forrester's last gown, on the other hand, was decidedly under whelming. However, as we go into the showstopper, it's still anyone's game.

Jarrett: Eric Forrester's trademark -- the wedding gown -- has few rivals in the fashion universe. Let's see if today's entry will seal the deal for a reunion with his worthy competitor and firstborn son.

[ Applause ]

Jarrett: Oh, bravo, Forrester. A splendidly elegant vision in white that is at once thoroughly au courant yet classically timeless.

***********************************************************

Caitlin: They love it!

Brooke: I told you not to panic.

Samantha: Eric, we might win this one yet!

Eric: We just might. But, I want to tell you right now, I thank you all for all your wonderful work.

[ Applause ]

Clarke: Thorne, did you hear that? Forrester just scored big.

Thorne: I hear it, Clarke. But we've tapped into something big here today. And you, Amber and Felicia have outdone yourselves. I don't know about you, but I'm feeling good.

[ Crowd oohs and aahs ]

Darla: Sal, what's going on? Do they love it or hate it?!

Sally: Well, it's got to be one or the other, honey. I just don't know which.

[ Applause and cheers ]

**********************************************************

Eric: Well, I guess we have our answer.

Brooke: I'm so sorry.

************************************************************

[ Continued applause ]

[ Appplause and cheers ]

Darla: I got it!

Sally: We did it! You talented, marvelous, incredible people -- we have beat Forrester Creations at their own game!

Clarke: And on their own runway!

[ Cheers ]

Darla: You did it, baby! I knew you could.

Sally: All right, all right. Cancel the kissing scene, you two. The audience are on their feet -- they're still on their feet -- and they want to see your husband!

Darla: Go on, baby! Go out there.

[ Cheers and applause ]

Thorne: Thank you. Thank you all very much. It's been a very, very long road to get to this place. But we finally made it. Spectra Couture is playing with the big boys, huh?

Jarrett: And beating the pantyhose off them!

[ Laughter ]

Thorne: Well, let me introduce to you the woman whose vision and fearlessness and faith in me allowed us to make this win possible -- Sally Spectra.

[ Cheers and applause ]

**********************************************************

Hector: Honey, how ya doing?

Samantha: Eric was depending on me and I feel like I let him down.

Hector: Aw, sweetheart -- you did an incredible job today.

Samantha: Hector, we lost.

Hector: I know. It doesn't mean your dresses weren't beautiful. It's like my job -- you can have the best men giving everything they've got, but sometimes you just can't put out the fire. Come here.

*******************************************************

Thomas: Hey.

Caitlin: Hey. Thomas, what happened out there?

Thomas: That's the question everybody's asking.

Caitlin: First the fashion preview, and now this. I put my heart into those designs.

Thomas: Look, Caitlin, the fashion business can be completely unpredictable. I know. I grew up with it.

Caitlin: I just hope that your grandfather hasn't lost faith in me.

Thomas: No. Discovering you for Forrester was the smartest move he ever made.

Clarke: To spectra couture!

Sally: By Thorne Forrester!

Darla: Whoo, I'll drink to that! Here, here.

Thorne: Salute.

Sally: Today I think I reached a peak that I wasn't absolutely sure I would ever really live to see. So I would like to dedicate this wonderful wine to Macy and to Saul, and because you are all my family.

Thorne: Thank you, Sally. Thank you very much. I am proud of everyone here.

Eric: And well you should be. You've led them to a wonderful victory today.

Thorne: I appreciate that, Dad.

Eric: You've arrived. With class, style and a lot of guts.

Thorne: I learned from the very best. You taught me everything.

Eric: You taught yourself how to be a winner. You didn't learn that form anyone else -- certainly not me. I'll miss you.

Thorne: I'll miss you, too.

[ Light applause ]

Sally: Now, I think you'd better get out there. That audience wants more.

Thorne: Honey, you're coming with me.

Darla: No, no, no. They want you, Thorne.

Thorne: No, no, no. Not without you.

[ Cheers and applause ]

Brooke: He could still come back if things don't work out. I'm so sorry.
