Nick: Let me get this straight. Amber takes an incriminating picture of you and Ridge together and now everything's all messy again.

Bridget: But we didn't do anything wrong, Nick.

Nick: No, it just looked that way, right?

Bridget: Yeah. No, I -- look, it was just Amber, okay? I was her sick spin on things. To get back at Ridge for some thing with Thomas -- I don't know. Whatever the reason is, it doesn't matter. What matters is it wasn't anything like Amber said it was.

Nick: That's Forrester's story, I bet, and he's going to stick to it.

Bridget: It's not a story. Ridge was just being --

Nick: Being what? Just all touchy-feely because of what you just told him?

Bridget: He was happy for me, and happy that you helped me get over my hang-ups.

Nick: Oh, that's so nice of him. So he decided to put his hands all over you.

Bridget: His hands were not all over -- you know, you haven't even seen the photo, Nick.

Nick: I don't need to see the photo. I don't need to see anything. You're his wife's daughter. Given what you've been through, how you felt about him, this shouldn't be happening.

Bridget: And nothing did. Or ever will again. You know, my mother understands that. I don't know why you can't.

Nick: It's not that I don't understand, but does this guy have rocks in his head? He ought to know better.

Bridget: You sound like Amber.

Nick: Well, maybe she has a point. Do you think?

Bridget: You know, what I think is, this photo could have caused a lot of damage. And it still might. Which is exactly why we felt we needed to tell Thomas about his dad and me before Amber did. I just pray that he listens to his father and not Amber.

Ridge: End it, Thomas. Tell her your relationship is over.

Amber: No, no, no. Thomas -- Thomas, listen to me. Come here, come here. No, no, no. You have to listen to me. Listen, listen. I didn't mean to cause trouble. I swear I didn't. I didn't, okay?

Ridge: You were trying to get me, Amber.

Amber: No, I wasn't. I -- Brooke -- Brooke, come on. Come on, Brooke. Talk to him. I mean, tell him how it was when I came to see you. I mean, was I angry? Was I trying to cause trouble? No. I did what I did to protect you and your family.

Ridge: By trying to blow my marriage apart? Come on. You're kidding yourself if you think anybody is buying this, Amber. Especially Thomas.

Amber: Thomas knows that I have a good heart. And he knows -- he knows that I care about everybody in this family as much as anyone in this room. You know that, don't you? See? Your son understands. He's not gonna just turn his back on me, because he thinks I did something wrong. Because he knows that all I ever wanted to do was just bring something special into his life. Something beautiful.

Ridge: Oh, for god's sakes. She's turning on the waterworks now, trying to get you to buy this. Well, don't do it, Thomas. Do not let her --

Thomas: Manipulate me? The way you think she's been doing all along? Amber and I need a moment alone.

Ridge: Thomas

Thomas: Let's go.

Ridge: If he doesn't break up with her after this, we've lost him. I can't lose my son.

Brooke: Sweetheart, it's going to be okay. Thomas will see through Amber.

Ridge: I hope you're right. Amber is shrewd. The fact she's been able to slither her way back into this family after what she did to Rick?

Amber: Your father's staring daggers at me.

Thomas: You don't think he has a reason to?

Amber: I think -- I think you're really thrown by what I did.

Thomas: My dad never would have gone there again with Bridget. He loves Brooke. They're happy. He wouldn't do anything to jeopardize that.

Amber: Knowingly, no. But when two people once have shared something like Ridge and Bridget --

Thomas: No, wait. You're making this out to be something it wasn't.

Amber: No, sweetie, I'm not -- I'm not saying this so you'd think anything less of your dad. Even though we both know that he's been out to get me from the beginning.

Thomas: He was just concerned that I'm in over my head. And after tonight, I'm thinking maybe he was right.

Amber: No, no. Don't say that.

Thomas: He's been there for me my whole life, amber. All right, he wants what's best for me. Plus, this stunt you pulled, it's exactly the kind of thing he warned me about.

Amber: No, it wasn't a "stunt"! My god, I told you. My god, you know, I have done everything -- I have done everything your family has asked me to do. I lived with Stephanie. I stopped making love to you, which was torture. But I did it. I did it. I did that. I did a lot more. I just wanted -- I just wanted to show your family how much I wanted their acceptance. Their acceptance and their love. Only it wasn't good enough. Because nothing is ever good enough for them, so --

Thomas: Look, my dad is really concerned about me. So maybe we should take a break. Step back, rethink things.

Amber: What are you saying?

Thomas: I'm saying, Amber, you need some time to ask yourself -- with our relationship, is it me you can't live without? Or is it my family you're scared of losing?

Amber: No, no, no!

Thomas: Maybe that's why you went to the trouble with dad --

Amber: Listen -- listen to me. Listen. It wasn't like that. That's just crazy! It's crazy.

Thomas: Or so you keep telling yourself. If you would just admit it, then maybe we could work this thing out. But you can't! Or you won't. That's why we need some time apart.

Amber: No. No, no, no. Just don't say that. Come on. Come on. Don't do this to us. I love you.

Thomas: I'm sorry. I care about you. I do. But this is just the way it has to be.

Amber: Thomas. No.

[ Amber sobbing ]

[ Door slams ]

Ridge: Thank god. Thank god she's finally out of his life.

[ Ridge sighs

Nick: Don't get me wrong, okay. 'Cause it's not that I don't believe what you're telling me about what's his name and you.

Bridget: There is no Ridge and me. Amber was just trying to make trouble.

Nick: Which she shouldn't have had an opportunity to do. If he'd have done what I told him to do. Remember? Distance. Keep distance between the two of you. But his over-inflated ego couldn't do that.

Bridget: What are you talking about?

Nick: Women. He has to feel as though all women want him. I'm serious. It's an issue with him. It's like an obsession. He has to have them all hanging on a string, dingaling, dangling along. Look what he did to your mother for years.

Bridget: Okay. Okay. Obviously we're not going to see eye-to-eye on this. I mean, not that I don't appreciate your concern. But this isn't why I came over here. This is why I came over here.

Nick: Skis?

Bridget: Yeah. You don't already own a pair, do you?

Nick: Why skis?

Bridget: 'Cause my family's going up to big bear for a couple days, and you're going to go with us.

Nick: Oh.

Amber: Congratulations, Ridge. You did it. You're finally rid of me. Amber the gold digger. Amber the seducer of young teenage boys. The trailer trash from Furnace Creek. I mean, that's how you see me, right? Like a piece of toilet paper stuck to the bottom of your shoe.

Ridge: What I see, Amber, are the lives you ruined. Or tried to.

Amber: Right, right. It's bad news any way you look at it. Amber the taker, Amber the liar. You know, I even went to bat for you, Brooke. With Stephanie. But god forbid, when I need a little help on my side, you'd be there for me.

Ridge: Just leave Brooke out of this.

Amber: Fine. But if my husband were downstairs with his hands all over my daughter, I'd want to know.

Ridge: Don't, Amber. Don't even go there. You see, Thomas has washed his hands of you. Mother's thrown you out. And now --

Amber: It's your turn.

Ridge: You've had a long run with this family. Much longer than you deserved. But now your time has run out.

Amber: Aww, so you're saying good-bye, huh?

Ridge: It's more like throwing out the trash.

Amber: You're sick. You know that? You are sick, and you are cruel. Taking joy in my pain over losing the guy I love. One day, Ridge -- one day you will get what you deserve, you pompous, arrogant bastard.

Ridge: You're a joke.

Amber: I'm a joke? Mm-hmm. You in the role of devoted father and husband -- now that is a joke. Which Bridget would know better than anyone. Right, Brooke? He crossed that line with her once, and he almost did it again. He would have done it again, if I hadn't caught him in the act. Not that Ridge let that faze him. No, no. He just convinced everyone that the photo meant nothing and that I was the troublemaker. But I was there. I saw that desire in your eyes. And one day, you will see it, too. You will. And then you will remember this very moment and you'll really regret that you didn't believe me. Still, if there is any justice in this world, somebody is gonna nail you for all the mean, hurtful stuff that you've done.

Ridge: And that someone would be you? You're gonna take me down, amber? Well, I say, knock yourself out. But it's not gonna be easy, you know. Because, basically, you've got no brains. You've got no education.

Brooke: Ridge --

Ridge: How pathetic can you get? You're just a parasite, amber. A jiggling bowl of insecurities. Using your so-called "sexuality" to lure in the young teenage boys. But you know what? Even they get bored when they discover there's nothing going on upstairs. I'm actually quite grateful for that. Because the idea of my Thomas spending one more second with the likes of you -- I'm glad we're going up to big bear tomorrow. It'll give Thomas a chance to be rid of you once and for all. And that is what he's doing, Amber. And that's why it'll be a cold day in hell before you ever get a chance to be a part of this family again. It's over. "The Amber Moore saga" is done. Just like you. Good-bye.

Bridget: So, you like the skis?

Nick: Yeah, I love 'em. They're top of the line. Thank you.

Bridget: You're welcome. It was actually my way of thanking you.

Nick: For what?

Bridget: When I came back from Copenhagen, I was just such a mess. And you really pulled me through. I'll always be grateful.

Nick: It wadn't nothing.

Bridget: No. I mean, I'm serious. You really helped me see that there is more than just one great guy out there.

Nick: Good.

Bridget: Now, thanks to you, I feel like myself again. Okay, so we'll drive up together tomorrow and maybe get a few runs on the slopes before the rest of the family arrives?

Nick: Yeah, good. Nothing I'd like more than get in a few runs and show you a thing or two on the slopes. And off.

Time has a way of making sense of everything I hope you will remember me I tried to hold on

[ Amber remembering ]

Ridge: You're a joke, Amber. You're nothing more than a parasite. You'll never amount to anything. Talk about pathetic.

[ "Pathetic" echoes ]

[ Horn honks ]

[ Tires screech

I hope you will remember me

Radio DJ: The z-95 weather center. Warm days and balmy nights will continue through the weekend for L.A. While a blast of bitterly cold air could plunge temperatures to record lows at big bear and surrounding ski resorts. Details after this message.

Amber: Big Bear. That's where Ridge is taking the family.

[ Amber remembering ]

Ridge: It'll be a cold day in hell before you ever get a chance to be part of this family again.

Amber: Cold -- record lows. That's it. That's how I'll -- prepare yourself, Ridge -- for your own cold day in hell.
