Ridge: Logan, please -- don't run away from me. You've got to know how much I value this marriage and you. You can't get this upset. Please don't get this upset because of this. Nothing happened.

Nick: Aw, look at this. Poor little Sasha -- text messaging me.

Bridget: That's one talented orangutan.

Nick: Do you think she figured out I was leading her on a little bit?

Bridget: She? Oh, gosh, Nick, I hate to be the one to break this to you, but the trainer conned us both. Sasha's a male.

Nick: Really?

Bridget: Yeah.

Nick: Well, let's not judge, shall we?

Bridget: Oh, I'm cool with it. I don't know about dad and Stephanie. I do know, however, they are a lot less worried about me now. Do you want a glass of wine?

Nick: Sure. So they've been worried about you? Giving you a hard time type thing?

Bridget: Oh, not really. It's just the whole thing about me moving back home. You know, it's really been on their mind. Especially Stephanie's. Before you showed up tonight, she was about to give me this huge lecture about my "delicate emotional state." I do think, though, after tonight they realize I'm a lot less tormented than they were afraid of.

Nick: Absolutely. I don't think anything spells out "well-adjusted" more than fixing someone up with an ape.

Bridget: I know why you were such a good sport about it, too. You were just showing me how to have fun.

Nick: Well, I think you were due, don't you? Even if I did have to make out with a monkey.

Bridget: I won't tell the guys at Chuck's bar about that.

Nick: Thank you. That's very sensitive of you.

Stephanie: Hello, Amber.

Amber: Ah, Stephanie.

Stephanie: Is something wrong, honey?

Amber: You know how much this family means to me, right? And ever since you invited me to move in here, I mean, it's become even more important to me. And family -- I mean, I mean, everyone, the whole Forrester family, I mean -- even Ridge, and you know how much he's had it in for me, but -- I mean, but you also know that I would never do anything to hurt this family. I mean, not intentionally. Because I believe in protecting it as much as you do.

Stephanie: Amber, has something happened that you need to talk to me about?

Amber: I, I only went over there to make peace with Ridge. You know, I thought we could talk to each other as two flawed human beings. But, I mean, he wouldn't listen to me. No, 'cause Ridge, he won't admit to doing anything wrong, ever. And no matter how out-of-control he is -- and that's why I felt like I didn't really have a choice --

Stephanie: Amber, you know -- please calm down, 'cause you're just not making much sense here. What's this?

Amber: Um -- it's, it's nothing. But I'm -- will you just hear me out? Okay?

Brooke: Ridge, look at that picture. Look at the way you and Bridget are looking at each other. The expression on your face -- what is going through your mind right there?

Ridge: Let me explain.

Brooke: How? How could that possibly be, except --

Ridge: I'll tell you exactly what's going on in this picture, Brooke. Bridget is telling me something wonderful. She's telling me that she's stronger, happier, and more hopeful than she's ever been. That she's finally moving on with her life. That she's over me. The look you see on my face is not desire. It's not yearning. It's joy. It's joy that she's finally moving on with her life. She's got a grip on her life, that she's relieved that she can finally see me as a supportive friend. Because that's all I am, Brooke. And that's all I'm ever gonna be. Logan, you -- my heart belongs to you, and no one and nothing can ever change that.

Bridget: Just so you know, this isn't my usual style.

Nick: What's that?

Bridget: You know, just acting on impulse. Spur-of-the-moment craziness.

Nick: Believe me, I know.

Bridget: What do you mean, you know?

Nick: Well, I know you. I mean, we've known each other for a while.

Bridget: But not really well.

Nick: No, but I know you. I know the type of person you are. You're conservative and prim and proper.

Bridget: Excuse me?

Nick: What?

Bridget: I'm not prim. I've never been prim.

Nick: Okay.

Bridget: Ever. I'm just, you know -- I'm, I'm cautious and considerate. And I think things through. It's, you know --

Nick: You go by the rules.

Bridget: Yeah. Right. Because I've learned the hard way that when you don't, it's like --

Nick: Bad things happen.

Bridget: Yes. They do. At least to me. Maybe not for you. You could be different. Actually, you're definitely different.

Nick: Well, how's that?

Bridget: I don't know. It's like for some people, the rules just don't apply. It's like some sort of peter pan philosophy or something.

Nick: Peter pan?

Bridget: Yeah, Peter -- okay, maybe I could've come up with a better analogy.

Nick: Well, let's hope.

Bridget: Look, all I'm saying is that, I -- I think this has been good for me, you know? Hanging out with you. I've, you know, I've learned a lot. I can learn a lot from, you know, just your approach to life.

Nick: I see. That's exactly what I'm talking about. You see that's a very cautious, safe way of saying, "I just set a friend of mine up with an ape."

Bridget: What can I say? You inspire me.

Nick: So this is the real you coming out then, huh?

Bridget: Maybe.

Nick: Well, I feel the same way.

Bridget: Really?

Nick: Absolutely. I feel like I can really -- I don't know -- be who I am around you. Let my guard down, you know? The only problem with that is sometimes -- I just don't really know -- who I am.

[ Making monkey noises ]

Bridget: What are you doing? What are you doing? Nick -- okay, I get it. You can stop. Okay. Nick --

[ Bridget screams ] what are you doing? Be careful, you're going to break something. Nick --

[ Bridget screams and laughs ]

Nick: I'm sorry, am I crushing you?

Bridget: Um, no, actually I'm -- I'm fine.

Nick: Sorry. You know, I should probably get back to the office. I've got a lot of work to catch up on.

Bridget: Sure. Yeah, no, yeah. No problem.

Nick: So we'll talk soon?

Bridget: Yeah. Right. Why don't you call me after your flea dip?

Nick: You got it.

Bridget: Hey, thanks for going along with everything today, you know --

Nick: Anytime you get an idea, you can count on me.

Bridget: You're giving me a lot of leeway, I hope I don't abuse your trust.

Nick: You won't.

Stephanie: What are you doing with this photograph?

Amber: This doesn't bother you?

Stephanie: Should it?

Amber: Well, I mean, it looks like something pretty intense is going on there.

Stephanie: Nothing's going on. They're just standing there. What's your point?

Amber: My point? You know -- I mean, you know how bizarre Ridge has been acting lately. I mean, forget about the way he feels about Thomas and me. But, I mean, what about what he did at Forrester Creations? I mean, trying to unseat his father from the company and then just walking away? I mean, he is hurting all of the people he loves the most and -- and I don't think you want Bridget to be his next victim. In fact, I know you don't because I overheard you and Ridge talking about it.

Stephanie: Oh, did you?

Amber: Yeah. It was an accident. I heard you talking about what happened between Ridge and Bridget before, and how worried that you were that it could happen again.

Stephanie: Amber, that was a private conversation.

Amber: I didn't mean to overhear it. I didn't. Just like I didn't mean to see Ridge and Bridget together, but I did. Look, this photo proves that you have every right to be worried because what is on there could possibly ruin your entire family.

Ridge: Logan, please listen to me. Iím sorry for anything that happened between Bridget and me in the past. But that's over and done with. I put it behind me a long time ago, and now Bridget's finally doing the same.

Brooke: I put it behind me, too. I never thought this would threaten this incredible life that you and I worked so long and hard to build.

Ridge: It won't! It can't! It can't, Brooke. Nothing is more important to me than you and this family. Any attraction that developed when Bridget was living with me and the kids, it just doesn't exist anymore. It doesn't exist. You have to believe me.

Brooke: It makes sense, what you're saying about what's going on in that picture. And I know you regret what happened. And you wish you could just -- all those kisses and feelings that went with them -- you could just put away and not bring up again. I know you want that more than I do. Ridge, you're saying that nothing could ever happen between you and Bridget again. And I know that you believe what you're saying is true. But I think we have to dig deeper here. For everyone's sake. I need to ask you, way down inside, are you telling yourself the truth?

Ridge: How can you even ask me that?

Brooke: Ridge, you and I have been connected for so long, and now my intuition is telling me that you may not even be aware of it.

Ridge: Aware of what?

Brooke: Of this. This connection that you have with Bridget. Look, it's right here, right here in this picture.

Ridge: I told you what this was.

Brooke: There's more than just happiness and relief there, there is love.

Ridge: Platonic love. Of course I care about Bridget.

[ Knock on door ]

Bridget: What about Bridget?

Ridge: We're just in the middle of something here.

Bridget: Oh, yeah, sure. I'm sorry. I'll -- I'll talk to you later.

Brooke: Bridget, wait. I want to show you something.

Amber: Hearing you and Ridge talk really gave me hope.

Stephanie: About what? That you'd catch him in the act, doing something?

Amber: No, no, no. You were talking about making mistakes and growing past them. So, I decided that I was going to go over there and talk to Ridge. All I wanted him to do was just admit that he had made a mistake at some point in his life, a big one, and that it's possible to learn from your mistakes and be forgiven. And that you can't hold a person's past against them when they are trying so hard to change. But, of course, he wouldn't listen to me. And he was just awful to me.

Stephanie: You were trying to get back at him. That's why you took that photograph.

Amber: I did this to save his marriage. You know, I kept thinking about what you said. Even though you're not crazy about Brooke, you don't want Ridge to do something that would destroy his entire family. And, you know, you're right. So, I thought Ridge needed a wake-up call. And so did Brooke.

Stephanie: You didn't show that photograph to Brooke?

Amber: It was probably a really bad idea. But I didn't know Ridge was just going to show up and just blow up the way he did.

Stephanie: Oh, oh -- you're surprised that he would be angry with you? What the hell were you thinking?

Bridget: This is from last night. Mom, did you take this picture?

Brooke: No, Amber did.

Bridget: How? She was leaving when I got there.

Ridge: Apparently she was lurking in the window.

Bridget: Why?

Brooke: Never mind that. Just tell me what exactly was going on when this picture was taken.

Bridget: Are you serious? I was -- I was just telling Ridge how much better I've been feeling. For the first time in a long time, I think I can move forward with my life. Mom, I'd been talking to Nick and he made me realize that any feelings that I did have for Ridge, they're in the past and I'm a lot closer to being healed than I thought I was.

Brooke: I'm glad to hear that.

Bridget: What -- ? What exactly did you think was going on in this picture?

Brooke: Of course I had my concerns. You admitted to me that your unresolved feelings for Ridge were a huge stumbling block for you.

Ridge: Well, I think she's resolved them. This is a very unusual, uncomfortable situation for all of us. But now that Bridget and I have explained our conversation to you, this doesn't have to concern you. Nothing does, Logan. Look can we put this behind us? Once and for all, okay?

Brooke: No. I don't think I can do that.

Amber: Stephanie, I did not do this to cause any trouble.

Stephanie: Well, how did you think Brooke would react when you showed her this?

Amber: Going to Brooke was a -- a bad idea.

Stephanie: No.

Amber: Okay, it was a terrible, terrible, terrible idea. You handle matters in this family best. I should have just come to you with this.

Stephanie: No. You should have kept your nose out of this. This doesn't concern you. Whatever's happened between Ridge and Bridget is nobody else's business. You didn't tell Tom about this?

Amber: Oh, no. I haven't told anyone about it, I swear.

Stephanie: Are you sure you're not trying to disgrace his father in front of him?

Amber: Stephanie, that was not my plan. I did this to stop something horrible from happening, just like you do. You know, ever since I moved in here, I have been trying to bring this family together. But if Ridge and Bridget still have feelings for each other -- and that picture proves that they do -- then it could be devastating for the entire family, including Thomas. I mean, don't you see that I am on your side here?

Stephanie: What I see is that you don't understand this family. And you don't really care about this family. What you care about is your place in it. And you see Ridge as a threat to that because he doesn't want you anywhere near Tom. So this is your idea of revenge -- creating trouble like this.

Ridge: Brooke, what's wrong? I thought we resolved this.

Brooke: No, Ridge. I'm not ready to just let this go. I need to talk to you. To both of you. It's not that I don't understand what happened between you.

Bridget: Mom, you don't have to rehash this. I know how much this hurts you.

Brooke: Honey, it's all right. There's something I need to say. Bridget, you were there for Ridge at a very difficult time in his life. You were there for the children, for Thomas and the girls. Taylor was gone. I don't think you even realize how similar you were to her -- your intelligence, your compassion, your talent for medicine. And as brief as it may be, you were there for Ridge. You were in his heart and in his home. And I've accepted that. But it can never happen again. 'Cause I just wouldn't survive it.

Bridget: Mom --

Ridge: Logan, don't. I swear to you --

Brooke: Ridge, please, just let me finish. Now my home is my foundation. You two are my home. The two of you are the most important people in the world to me. And I don't doubt your love and commitment, and I know you have the best intentions. But I just don't think that's good enough. I need you to ask yourself, to look down deep inside and really ask yourself if you have any feelings that you might think are inappropriate -- and no matter how residual or minor they may seem to you -- I really need to know if they exist. And I need to know right now.
