[ "We wish you a Merry Christmas" playing ]

Ridge: Okay, get it way up high, so everybody can see it. There we go. Now it's starting to look like Christmas around here. Want to get down and look at your presents? Go look at your presents.

Brooke: Yes, R.J., That's you. Your very first ornament. Isn't that cute?

Ridge: Very first Christmas.

Brooke: Yes. All of ours together, actually.

Ridge: We are incredibly lucky, aren't we?

Brooke: Let's never forget it.

Ridge: Not a chance of that.

Eric: Shouldn't I turn on the lights?

Stephanie: Um, no. Let's do it later.

Eric: Oh, for crying out loud. Come on, let's go see the boys.

Stephanie: They have their own plans.

Eric: No, that's not it. Thorne thinks that Ridge is here and Ridge thinks that Thorne is here. Neither one of them would be happy if they knew we were here alone.

Stephanie: Honey, we're not alone. We're going to have Christmas just like when we were first married.

Eric: I know you miss the children.

Stephanie: I do, but they have their own families. They want to make their own traditions. We have wonderful Christmas memories of Christmas with our children. And now, that's what they want to do. So I think we have to let them. We'll go to the toy drive, and then we'll come back and I'll put more Rum in the eggnog. We'll sing songs, Christmas songs, because I can't -- and we won't fight over the turkey drum legs, will we? I'll eat the bone.

Eric: All right. And it's going to be wonderful. It is, I promise you.

Nick: Ho, ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas! Where are ya?

Massimo: Here.

Nick: What are you doing in here? What's all this?

Massimo: Work.

Nick: On Christmas?

Massimo: Mm-hmm. I always work on Christmas. It's so nice and quiet, no meetings, no phone calls and I get a jump on the competition.

Nick: Sure there's no where else you'd rather be.

Massimo: You know, a month ago, Dominick, I couldn't speak. I couldn't move. Now because of all the treatments I got from dr. Ying, sitting at my desk, working, is not a burden, Dominick. Believe me, it is a miracle. I am such a fortunate man to have so much when so many have so little.

[ Crowd chatter ]

Jimmy: I'm going to get these for you. You like them?

Girl: Yeah!

Caitlin: Say thank you.

Thomas: Look out below! Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas! Hey, little girl, you like to play baseball?

Girl: Yes, I do.

Thomas: Well, here you go. Merry Christmas.

Caitlin: Thomas, what are you doing here?

Thomas: Well, did you think I was going to let you hog all the Christmas cheer? I want to spread some, too.

Caitlin: Well, I think you just did.

Massimo: Well, lookie here. A ship in a bottle.

Nick: Just a little something. Merry Christmas. I'm starting to see what you mean.

Massimo: I thought you would.

Nick: Who really needs that traditional Christmas, huh?

Massimo: Yeah, running around seeing people you didn't like enough to see during the year.

Nick: Or worse off, having them drop in to see you.

Massimo: Mm-hmm. You hear that?

Nick: What?

Massimo: Silence. Now how many people do you think are going to enjoy that today, huh? With all those cloying Christmas carols and kids making all kinds of racket because of their new toys, or crying because they didn't get the ones they really wanted.

Nick: Big headache. Right. This is my kinda Christmas celebration.

Ridge: Okay, I think we got all we can get out of that.

Brooke: Look at this. These are gorgeous bracelets.

Ridge: Ooh, Santa has excellent taste.

Brooke: Yes, he certainly does.

Steffy: The cookies are done.

Brooke: Oh, goodness. They smell delicious.

Phoebe: Bridget made them. But we decorated.

Ridge: And they look great, too.

Bridget: Hey, hope, come here. Come show me what you got. Hope, come here. Show me your presents.

[ "Deck the halls" plays ]

Brooke: Are you all right?

Ridge: Yeah, fine.

Brooke: You're having second thoughts about not spending Christmas with your parents?

Ridge: Actually, I was thinking about Massimo. Called him to wish him Merry Christmas. I told him maybe we'd stop by later. Would you mind if we invited him over here?

Brooke: Mind? What are you waiting for?

Thomas: Look, jimmy, there's so many presents.

Jimmy: I know, isn't that crazy?

Thomas: You guys really made out. There's a lot of sweet presents here.

Hector: One more turn ought to do it. There we go.

Caitlin: Hey, Billy, is something wrong?

Billy: I asked Santa for a skateboard.

Caitlin: Oh. Well, I thought that you liked basketball?

Jimmy: What's the matter with Billy?

Caitlin: He said he asked Santa for a skateboard.

Thomas: Well, we'll just have to do something about that. Grandma, grandpa!

Eric: Hey. Hey, Caitlin. Thomas told us all about the toy drive, so we wanted to pitch in.

Stephanie: We're absolutely delighted to be here, because this is what Christmas is all about, isn't it?

Massimo: Are you going to light that thing?

Nick: Not with you in the room, I'm not.

Massimo: Oh, come on, just a couple of puffs. I mean, for the smell.

Nick: Uh-uh.

Massimo: It's better than those miserable Christmas candles.

Nick: Noxious aren't they?

Massimo: Ugh. Eggnog?

Nick: I hate eggnog.

Massimo: Christmas carols?

Nick: Same ones every year.

Massimo: Ugh. Can you imagine if we were at ridge's house now, huh? You'd be up to your nose in ribbons and wrapping paper, and probably little hope would be crawling all over you.

Nick: What about you, huh? All those kids be climbing all over you saying, "Mojo, Mojo!" Wanting you to tell them another story.

Massimo: Yep.

Brooke: Hello? Hello? Oh!

Nick: Hey.

Ridge: Are we -- interrupting something?

Massimo: No, not at all. Come in. Come in.

Ridge: What are you guys up to?

Massimo: Oh, Dominick and I are thoroughly enjoying a bachelor's Christmas.

Ridge: Well, we didn't want to intrude, but --

Brooke: We were hoping you would come and visit the kids. They'd really love to see you.

Massimo: Well, I suppose we could do that.

Nick: For the kids.

Ridge: I know your new grandson would really like to meet his grandpa.

Massimo: Well, since you put it like that -- how can we refuse? I got a pile of gifts at the front door.

Nick: I'll pack 'em.

Massimo: How 'bout -- where's your guitar?

Nick:  In the car. I'll grab it.

Massimo: Okay, you grab it, okay. Because the kids love Christmas carols.

Ridge: Bah humbug. Woo hoo! Looks like they made jet-dry even better!

Eric: Sam, this fireman's stew is really, really wonderful.

Samantha: I know.

Eric: It's not our caviar, but it's very good. How's everything with you?

Samantha: Great. You know, I'm really beginning to understand why hector likes this neighborhood so much. Everybody coming together and giving their time and donating toys.

Eric: It's a wonderful community. Incredible really.

Samantha: He's an incredible man.

Hector: Whoa! Nice shot! You let me know when your parents need me to help 'em take this down to the house, okay.

Esteban: Thanks, Mr. Ramirez.

Hector: Sure. What's that look?

Samantha: Just remembering why I fell in love with you.

Ridge: Hey, kids, look who's here.

Phoebe: Mojo!

Steffy: Mojo!

Massimo: Hi, sweetheart.

Nick: Come here, Merry Christmas. Oh, my gosh. Look at you. Give me a kiss on the cheek. Right there.

Steffy: Thank you.

Phoebe: Come on. We made cookies.

Massimo: Okey dokey. Bridget, you're home.

Bridget: Somebody said you needed medical attention, but it looks like they were wrong.

Massimo: Well, how about a hug instead. Good to see you.

Bridget: It's good to see you too.

Massimo: You look wonderful.

Bridget: Thank you.

Nick: Welcome back.

Bridget: Thank you.

Nick: Good to be home?

Bridget: Yeah. Seeing you guys now, absolutely.

Brooke: Who wants eggnog?

Ridge: Non-alcoholic, of course.

Brooke: Oh, yes.

Nick: Come on. Sit down. Sit down, take a load off. Let me get you a glass of eggnog, huh?

Massimo: Don't you dare.

Bridget: Where's your mom?

Nick: She had other plans. Her and the old man split up.

Bridget: What?

Nick: Let's make it another time, huh?

Bridget: Okay.

Nick: Yeah.

Brooke: Massimo? There's someone here who wants to wish you a Merry Christmas.

Massimo: Do I have to -- oh my goodness.

Ridge: R.J., This is your grandpa Massimo.

Stephanie: I'm going to check on the turkey.

Eric: You know, we could still call the boys.

Stephanie: No. Honey, we have our traditions to preserve. And that's what we're going to do.

Hector: I finally get you alone.

Samantha: Mmm.

Hector: Hey, I think I see some mistletoe over here.

Samantha: I don't see any mistletoe.

Eric: Darling, I'm sorry that I wasn't able to get you what you really wanted this Christmas -- to be with your family. It's hard, I understand. Difficult for me, too. It's Christmas, we should be with our children.

Stephanie: Well, if they were getting along.

Eric: It just a misunderstanding. If they knew we were alone, they would be here.

Massimo: What a handsome boy. Thank you. Thank you. I couldn't -- I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas gift. Just being here with all of you.

Ridge: Hey, Thomas.

Thomas: Hey. Mojo!

Massimo: Hey.

Thomas: Nick, Merry Christmas. It's so good to see you again.

Bridget: Oh, it's so good to see you, too. How was the toy drive?

Thomas: Oh, major success. You know, being at the toy drive and helping those families made me realize what Christmas is all about. It's not about the stuff we have. It's about giving and sharing and being with family and friends.

Massimo: Well, you're never too old to appreciate that, Thomas.

Nick: Amen.

Massimo: Let me tell you -- this year, I appreciated it a lot more. You know, I almost missed this Christmas. If it wasn't for Dominick's determination and the support of my family, I wouldn't be here. But I am, and I am so happy to be with all the people I love.

Steffy: We love you, too, Mojo.

Massimo: Oh, sweetheart -- thank you. You too, thank you. You know, it's funny. This morning when I woke up, I started thinking about -- oh, things that I'd lost, you know. And people that I was -- missing. Now, I try not to be the kind of man that, you know, feels sorry for himself, you know. And I didn't want to spend the whole day looking back on things. And I've been pretty lucky, see, because I've gotten a second chance. And, well, sitting here with all of you, surrounded by you beautiful children -- I don't know, it's just gives me a sense of renewal. And right now, I can say without any doubt, I am happier than ever. And I am not missing anything.

Ridge: Here, here. I couldn't have said it better myself.

[ Phone rings ]

Ridge: I'll get it. Hello?

Amber: Ridge, it's Amber.

Ridge: Amber, it's not a good time. Thomas is busy with his family.

Amber: Why aren't you busy with yours?

Ridge: Excuse me?

Amber: Why aren't you here?

Ridge: Because we're doing things a little differently this year.

Amber: Without your parents?

Ridge: Look, not that it's any of your business, but I wanted them to be able to enjoy the holiday with Thorne.

Amber: Thorne's not here. I'm supposed to be meeting the Spectra gang at his place.

Ridge: What?

Amber: Your mom and dad are alone, Ridge. They went out for a little while, but now they're back. And it looks like they're having the loneliest Christmas ever.

Ridge: I don't believe this.

Amber: You have to do something.

Ridge: We're on our way.

Amber: Perfect.

Brooke: Honey, is anything wrong?

Ridge: Not for long. We're takin' this show on the road.

Brooke: What do you mean?

Ridge: A little Christmas present for my parents. One they'll never forget.
