Ridge: You know what extortion is, Thorne? 'Cause that's what this is.

Thorne: No, it's a legitimate offer to purchase this company, Ridge, at a very generous price.

Ridge: And what if we don't want to sell, huh? What are you gonna do then? You going to attack us again? You gonna steal from us again, Thorne? No, this isn't an offer, this is a disgrace. In fact, you're a disgrace!

                        ****************************************************************************************

Brooke: Trouble concentrating?

Thomas: More like, wondering when the you know what's gonna hit the fan now that dad's back.

Brooke: If you're talking about you and Amber and how far things went, I haven't had a chance to talk to him about that yet.

Thomas: But you're going to?

Brooke: Actually, I don't think it's going to be a problem -- as long as I have your word that Amber is out of your life. I do have your word, don't I, Thomas?

[ Knock on the door ]

Amber: Thomas. What are you doing here?

                        ******************************************************************************************

Thorne: You still don't get it, do you?

Ridge: No, I don't get you, Thorne. I'm not sure I even want to any more.

Stephanie: Ridge.

Ridge: Well, what does he expect? Coming in here, offering us an ultimatum?

Thorne: You think I like this any better than you do, Ridge? It shouldn't have to be this way. But all I ever wanted was a chance to prove myself.

Ridge: Which you got.

Thorne: Yeah, until you just came breezing right back in, huh? And just took center stage, Ridge. And then no one was listening. Well, I have your attention now, don't I? And I want an answer.

Eric: Oh, for god's sake, Thorne, you can't just come in here and demand an answer now.

Thorne: Well, I'm your son, Dad! Your firstborn son. Me. Me! I came in here to offer to buy something that i thought you would be proud to hand down to me. Do you know how that makes me feel? Do you have any idea? You know, the day that you made me president -- the day you made me president -- I actually believed for the -- but then you took it away. Which you now know was a big mistake.

Eric: And this is your solution? Demanding we sell you the company?

Thorne: Yes.

Eric: Thorne, you listen to me. You want to be part of this company again, you come back and work with us. Don't do it like this.

Thorne: You've made that offer before. My answer's still the same.

Stephanie: Thorne, please.

Thorne: No, mother. It would be the same old, same old -- Ridge and dad up here calling the shots, while they stick me down in the basement.

Stephanie: But it won't be that way this time, I've told you.

Thorne: And I'm telling you, I don't want to go back. I want to move forward, and this is how we do it.

Ridge: Oh, bull. I'll say it again, this is total extortion.

Thorne: And I'll say it again, it's an offer. You can do what's best for this family, its future, by accepting a huge amount of money for this company. Or prepare to be hit hard. Because as much as it would kill me to do it, I will bring Forrester Creations to its knees.

                        **************************************************************************************

Brooke: Thomas, did you hear me? Do I have your word that Amber's out of your life?

Thomas: You and Stephanie made pretty sure of that, didn't you?

Brooke: We were acting in your best interests. I hope you understand that now. You don't see it that way, do you? It's going to be okay. You are going to be okay. But you just have to --

Thomas: Forget about Amber. Yeah, I know.

Brooke: Can you do that?

Thomas: I'm think I'm going to take a drive, try and clear my head.

Brooke: I hate to see you go through this. We all do. But you are going to get through it. Now that Amber's out of your life for good.

                        *****************************************************************************************

Amber: I ought to have my head examined for letting you in here. How'd you find me, anyway?

Caitlin: Rick. He figured that you --

Amber: Where else would trailer trash like me go but back where I belong, right?

Caitlin: Amber --

Amber: Look, I don't need this. So whoever sent you --

Caitlin: No, I came on my own to thank you for doing the right thing, for protecting Thomas from something that he's not ready --

Amber: Okay, okay, that's it. That's it, okay? You know what? Get the hell out of here!

Caitlin: No, Amber --

Amber: No, get -- get out! Go! No, you know what? I don't need this. I don't need this, okay? Because whether you believe it or not, Thomas and I, we had something special. No, that's right, Caitlin, it wasn't ugly and it wasn't bad. It was special. And if you think that it doesn't hurt knowing that I'm never going to be able to see Thomas again, then you could not be more wrong.

Caitlin: Amber, Iím sorry, okay? I didn't come here to upset you. I just -- look, I know how everyone has been coming down really hard on you, but --

Amber: It had to be done. Otherwise, I would ruin Thomas' life just like I ruined Rick's. Right? Not that Rick's never hurt me, you know.

Caitlin: I'm sure he never meant to. I know I didn't. But it did hurt, didn't it? When Rick moved on?

Amber: That's not what Thomas and mine relationship is about. Maybe at first, but it turned into something more, which I never expected, but before I realized it --

Caitlin: It started feeling real.

Amber: No, no, no. It was real, Caitlin. Okay, it was just as real as you and Rick. The only difference is, the Forrester's don't hate you. So you guys got a break and Thomas and I-- you know -- anyway, I backed off. And not because I think that there's anything wrong with Thomas and I being together, but because I didn't want to come between him and his family. Or all of those great things that are gonna happen for him. And not that I'm ever going to convince the Forrester's or you that I wasn't using him, but, you know -- you know, I don't care. I don't care. Oh, no, no, I don't -- I don't care that everyone thinks that I'm not good enough, because you know what? I'm probably not. But I am good enough to do what's best for him. Which is why I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere. And I'm taking everything inside me and I'm fighting so hard just not to pick up that phone and call him. And you know why? Because I know that that is gonna make it just that much harder for him. But I won't do it. I won't. And it doesn't -- doesn't matter how miserable I am.

                        ***************************************************************************************

Ridge: So what's next, Thorne? You gonna take out an ad in the trades claiming you've got Forrester on the ropes?

Thorne: No. No, Ridge. Like I said before, my next offer won't be as generous. And my offer after that --

ridge: It will be a lot less. Yeah, we got that. Well, Thorne, for your information, Dad and I have come up with a new line that's gonna put Forrester back on the maps.

Thorne: Not according to my sources. Word has it, you haven't come up with anything in days.

Eric: Well, Thorne, where did you hear that?

Thorne: My pipeline is still open. Which means, you don't have to sell me this company, it's already mine.

Ridge: Not if we find your little rat on the inside.

Thorne: You won't, Ridge. Because I had their utmost loyalty. So, you see, whether you sell me this company or not, the future of Forrester Creations rests with me. Now I bet you thought you'd never hear that, huh, big brother?

                        ********************************************************************************************

[ Knock on the door ]

Amber: Oh, god, not Caitlin again. Oh! Oh, my god, Thomas.

Thomas: You alone?

Amber: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, um --

Thomas: What?

Amber: I'm not suppose to see you, remember?

Thomas: Oh, right, close your eyes.

Amber: What?

Thomas: Come on, close your eyes. Close your eyes. Now, can you see me?

Amber: No.

Thomas: Problem solved.

Amber: You are nuts, you know that? You are. Do you want me to wind up in jail?

Thomas: It's not gonna happen. The restraining order, it's valid in L.A. County only.

Amber: Yeah, but if anyone finds out you're here --

Thomas: They're not going to. Besides, I had to see you. I've -- I've missed you like crazy.

Amber: I've missed you, too.

Thomas: I can't stop thinking about you. Dreaming about you. You don't know what it's like.

Amber: Yeah. I do.

Thomas: You really okay?

Amber: Hey, I'm tough. I'm gonna make it through this.

Thomas: No, we -- we will make it through this together.

Amber: What do you mean, "together"?

Thomas: Well, the restraining order says that you can't come see me, but it doesn't say that I can't come see you. And that's exactly what I'm gonna do every chance I get. There's no way -- there's no way that I'm letting you go, Amber. No matter what anybody says or does.

                        ****************************************************************************************

Brooke: So the meeting's still going on? No. No, don't interrupt them. Thanks, Megan. I hope this means the family's finally resolving things -- coming together.

Ridge: Was it really that bad being my little brother?

Thorne: That's not what this is about, ridge.

Ridge: Well, yes, it is, Thorne, only you saw it one way and I saw it another.

Thorne: Meaning, you thought I liked growing up in your shadow? That I liked being the brunt of your jokes?

Ridge: I thought you knew it was all in fun.

Thorne: That it was just you being you, huh?.

Ridge: Now, wait a minute, wait a minute. Now you're telling us that I've put you through all this grief for all these years. Why didn't you speak up sooner if I hurt you this bad?

Thorne: Because I didn't have any confidence. I didn't have any self-esteem, Ridge. Because when you grow up feeling like that your whole life, you start to believe it. Well, I have plenty of people who believe in me. And I have proven that I am not second best and that I do have a lot to offer.

Eric: Your mother and I have never doubted that, Thorne. Not for one second.

Thorne: Well, then you do what I'm asking and you sell me this company. Because I can't do what you're asking. I can't. I can't just say all's forgiven and just come back here. I won't, Dad. I won't because I swear it would kill me.

Ridge: Oh, for god's sakes.

Thorne: I mean it, Ridge. I mean it. I will not go down that road again! Not when I'm fighting for my family, as well as for myself. Darla and Alexandria are my life -- my life -- and there is no way in hell -- god! Why can't you just believe in me for once the way that you've always believed in him? Just once. You know what? It's not even -- it's not even about that any more. It's not even about me coming in here as the competition, even though in my heart -- I'm through settling. I'm through. I won't do it anymore, I can't do it anymore and I shouldn't have to do it anymore.

Stephanie: But, honey, your father and I have apologized to you. You know how sorry we are. He gave you the line. He's told you everything will change if you come back. But just stop and realize what you're asking.

Thorne: What I'm asking? It isn't anything that you wouldn't jump at the chance to do for Ridge. You are the matriarch of this family. Its conscience. And you know that. It's my turn, Mother -- mine. So you do whatever it takes to make it happen. You do it. I love this family. I love it. No matter how this may seem, I love it. Present company included. You have 24 hours to think about it.

Stephanie: Thorne, wait --

Thorne: I'm not changing my mind, Mother.

Stephanie: I'm not asking you to.

Thorne: And I'm not apologizing for what I'm doing.

Stephanie: You shouldn't have to. You're only standing up for yourself. That's something, as your mother, I should've done for you a long time ago. But you're doing it -- you're doing it now, and that's what counts. And as hard and tough as it is, I'm proud of you. I'm so proud of you. I just want this to be over, Thorne.

Thorne: Then do what I asked. I need this. Make this happen.
