Clarke: No, no, no, Larry. When I say roll out the red carpet, I mean, literally, roll that red carpet out all the way to the limo door. You got it? We did get a limo, right?

Darla: Yes. The driver called, they should be here any minute.

Clarke: Terrific. Thorne? Have you seen the catalogue?

Thorne: Yes, I did. You did a great job, Clarke.

Clarke: Thank you.

Thorne: Listen, I just have one suggestion, okay? Take this one and move it toward the back, all right? That way will be part of the grand finale.

Clarke: Oh, good idea.

Darla: You better do it fast, Clarke. Her highness is on her way.

Clarke: Your highness? Is that what you say is -- you highness or do you say your majesty?

Thorne: Highness.

Darla: Right. Majesty is for kings and queens.

Thorne: Yes. And if this preview goes well, we'll have a few of them hanging around here, as well.

Clarke: Imagine that, royalty under this roof.

Darla: Oh, and Sally's going to miss it all.

Clarke: Oh, she'll get her chance. If this works out with the princess, she'll be bringing all her friends around for tea.

Darla: And it's all because of my genius husband. You are a miracle worker. How did you ever convince her to give us the time?

Thorne: We go way back. She trusts me and she trusts my judgment.

Clarke: She's certainly one of the most photographed women in the world. And if this princess wears one of our designs, well, our cache will skyrocket.

Thorne: Yes, and so will our sales.

[ Buzzer sounds ] Yes. She is? Great. Okay. That's security. She's on her way up. Let's go.

Thorne: Your highness.

Princess: Thorne, it is a pleasure to see you again.

Thorne: It's all mine. Welcome to spectra couture.

Thomas: Dad, don't worry. I'm fine. I'll be home soon.

Ridge: Where are you?

Thomas: At Jeremy’s You know, my friend in Brentwood? Yes, I'm sure, I'm sure. And you don't have to keep tabs on me.

Ridge: Well, can you blame me? You haven't exactly been making great decisions lately.

Thomas: Yeah, well, I'm making all the right ones tonight.

Ridge: Yeah, well you better be.

Thomas: Look, Dad, can we save the lecture, I'm kind of in the middle of something.

Ridge: Yeah, yeah. Okay, look, I just want you to come straight home, all right? Do you hear me? No detours. I don't want you "accidentally" running into Amber.

Thomas: Yeah, yeah, don't go near Amber. I get it.

Ridge: Thomas, I love you.

Thomas: Me, too, see you later.

Brooke: Did you get through to Thomas?

Ridge: I talked to him. Not sure I got through to him.

Brooke: I remember when Rick was going through this stage.

Ridge: Oh, don't remind me. The thought of my son in bed with amber and what she did to Rick -- I'm just thankful that we got to him before anything happened.

Brooke: How did he sound when you talked to him?

Ridge: Defiant.

Brooke: That's not good.

Ridge: No, it's not.

Brooke: Well, at least you know that he's safe.

Ridge: I'll feel better when lieutenant baker delivers that restraining order to Amber.

Brooke: He's serving it himself?

Ridge: Yeah. In fact, he's on his way to her place right now.

Amber: No, no, maybe -- maybe we should stop. Your dad --

Thomas: My Dad thinks I'm hanging out with a friend. Come on. I'm the one who's supposed to be nervous here.

Amber: You didn't seem too nervous to me.

Thomas: And neither should you. We're all alone. Nobody knows we're here. Got nothing to worry about.

Thorne: I realize how busy your schedule is. I appreciate you taking time to see us. Please, have a seat.

Princess: Thank you. I'm always happy to see you, Thorne. And you've made these new collections of yours sound most intriguing.

Clarke: We don't normally give sneak peeks, but we heard a rumor that you hadn't decided what you were wearing to that museum opening in Vienna next month.

Princess: It is a special occasion. And it calls for something out of the ordinary.

Thorne: Something classic, but timeless.

Princess: Exactly.

Thorne: Well, we've put together a little presentation for you.

Darla: As you can see, Thorne ha brought with him Forrester's classic style and sophistication to Spectra Couture.

Princess: You have indeed. If I didn't know better, I would think your brother designed these himself.

Brooke: You were gone awhile.

Ridge: Just checking on the kids. They're so innocent when they're asleep like that.

Brooke: You're still worried about Thomas.

Ridge: He may be 18, but he is not yet a man.

Brooke: He needs our guidance.

Ridge: What he needs is to be locked in his room until he's 30.

Brooke: I wonder how many times your mother has said that about you?

Ridge: Oh, you just think this is karmic justice, don't you?

Brooke: And the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Ridge: Well, obviously, my son doesn't have the impeccable taste in women that I do. I'm sorry I've been so distracted lately.

Brooke: You're just concerned about your son.

Ridge: Well, I've been neglecting my wife is what I've been doing.

Brooke: No. You've been preoccupied, but I have a cure for that.

Ridge: Mm.

Brooke: Mm-hmm. Right here.

Ridge: Mm-hmm.

Thomas: What are you thinking?

Amber: Just -- about where you came from.

Thomas: Where I came from?

Amber: Yeah. Those eyes, they're your dad's. And that mouth -- that was your mom's. Yeah. And what's inside. You have his talent and her brilliance. And his determination. And her kindness. You really are something else.

Thomas: Look who's talking.

Amber: I don't even know my father. And my mother --

Thomas: You know, you always make it out to sound like we're so different.

Amber: We are.

Thomas: In some ways. Good ways. But in all the ways that really matter, we're the same. I know we may come from different worlds, but right now -- right now, I feel more connected to you than I have to anybody. Ever. And I like it.

Amber: Me, too.

Thomas: I can't imagine it gets any better than this.

Amber: Now, that sounds like a challenge.

Thomas: No.

Amber: Yeah, come here.

Thorne: Thank you very much, ladies. Well, what did you think?

Princess: I am very, very impressed.

Thorne: I'm glad that you like them.

Princess: You know, it's amazing to me. You have accomplished so much in such a short time here at spectra. But perhaps I shouldn't be surprised. After all, you are your father's son.

Thorne: Yes, I am.

Princess: I would be very pleased and very proud to wear the blue gown to my opening.

Thorne: Thank you, your highness.

Princess: Thank you. And congratulations. I'll be in touch.

Thorne: Clarke will show you to your car.

Princess: Thank you.

Darla: You did it, honey. Baby, you did it!

Thorne: Well, we're off to a good start. But we still have a long ways to go to prove ourselves to Forrester and to the rest of the world. But we will. We will.

Brooke: R.J. Needed a nightcap.

Ridge: I could use one myself.

Brooke: Why? Bad news? "Spectra Couture kicks off new collection." They changed their name?

Ridge: Knowing Thorne, it probably tested better. 7 out of 10 people preferred "couture" over "fashions."

Brooke: Well, it's still Spectra.

Ridge: You know, they're showing their collection two weeks before we do.

Brooke: What collection?

Ridge: Yeah, that's what I was wondering, too.

Brooke: Well, I guess they could have been working on something before Thorne came on board.

Ridge: They could've stolen something before he came on board, you mean. Maybe even after.

Brooke: Now that would be sad to think that Thorne would stoop so low.

Ridge: How else is he going to compete with us?

Brooke: Well, they can't, really. Spectra doesn't have the resources.

Ridge: But they might have the fabric.

Brooke: What?

Ridge: Suddenly, all the vendors we've been dealing with are coming up with nothing but excuses. Companies we've been dealing with for decades are saying they can't meet our needs.

Brooke: So you think Thorne bought it all up? Why would he want to do that? Why would he want first-class fabric for second-rate knockoffs?

Ridge: I'm not even going to try to figure that guy out now.

Brooke: Poor baby. You have so much to worry about.

Ridge: I'm not worried about Thorne. But I am still worried about Amber and Thomas.

Brooke: Well, that's over the second Lieutenant Baker delivers that restraining order.

Ridge: Yeah. That's not gonna be too soon for me.

Thomas: What?

Amber: You used to be such a good boy.

Thomas: Well, I'm still good. Just not a boy anymore.

Amber: You deserve so much better.

Thomas: Right. Why waste such a precious experience on somebody I'm totally into?

Amber: You know what I'm talking about.

Thomas: But it's not you talking. It's my dad and my grandma.

Amber: They're just looking out for you. They know all the mistakes I've made --

Thomas: Would you forget about my dad? All that matters is how I see you. You've got to know how incredible I think you are. Now what?

Amber: No, no, I was just -- I was thinking. You know, for so long, I blamed myself. I blamed myself for screwing up something that was supposed to be, that was meant to be -- Rick and me. But maybe I was wrong. Maybe it wasn't meant to be, maybe -- maybe there was a reason why it didn't work out between us.

Thomas: Maybe there was.

[ Knock on door ]

Lt. Baker: Amber Moore. This is your old friend, Lt. Baker. Open up.

[ Knock on door ]

Lt. Baker: Come on, Amber, open up. I know you're in there.

Amber: Your dad called the cops.

Thomas: It's not a crime --

Amber: Then, what does he want?

Thomas: Let's ask him --

Amber: No, no, no! You go hide. Go, go! Go! Hurry! Go!

[ Knocking ]

Amber: I'm coming! Wait. What's the big idea? I'm trying to sleep.

Lt. Baker: I got a call from Ridge Forrester. He's concerned about his son.

Amber: So?

Lt. Baker: Have you seen Thomas lately?

Amber: What is this, some kind of shake down, huh? Ridge sends his cop buddies over to scare me? Do you have a warrant, lt. Baker? Because I don't remember inviting you into my room.

Lt. Baker: We won't be staying.

Amber: What's this?

Cop: A restraining order.

Amber: You've got to be kidding.

Lt. Baker: Given your history of defiance and reckless behavior, the judge felt a restraining order was the best way to ensure Thomas's safety. Now, you will be held in contempt if you go anywhere near Thomas, his home, his school, Forrester creations. You can read it for yourself. The bottom line is this -- you wanna stay out of jail, stay away from the boy.

Thomas: This is insane! Give me that.

Amber: Is it for real?

Thomas: Amber, I'm sorry. I thought since I was 18, there was nothing they could do.

Amber: So I could go to jail just by being in the same room with you.

[ Amber sighs ] Well, I wonder what would happen if I did this.

Brooke: You think Thomas knows about the restraining order yet?

Ridge: Oh, I think he'll be the first person that she contacts.

Brooke: He's gonna be so furious with you.

Ridge: I can live with that. What I can't live with is her weaving another web, trying to trap my son. At least I'll know he's finally free of her.

Brooke: And then you'll be free to focus on this situation with Thorne.

Ridge: You're worried about him? I thought you said he couldn't compete with us.

[ Brooke sighs ]

Brooke: Well, I have no idea what he's up to. But he certainly isn't one to bluff. I think he may have an ace in the hole.

Ridge: Well, why don't we just find out what that is then.

[ Cell phone rings ]

Thorne: Thought I might hear from you.

Ridge: It's a nice picture.

Thorne: Thank you. Listen, if you're calling for tickets, I'm sorry, but we're all booked up.

Ridge: No, I'm gonna be really, really busy myself. Getting ready for the most successful showing Forrester's ever had.

Thorne: Yeah? Well, good luck with that.

Ridge: There's no way you can compete with us, Thorne. It's pointless, what you're doing. Keep going like this, nobody's gonna win.

Thorne: Oh, somebody always wins, Ridge. This time, it's gonna be me.
