Ridge: A little early for bed, huh?

Brooke: I'm just taking a little nap.

Ridge: You or R.J.?

Brooke: Both of us. But I think I needed it more than he did.

Ridge: Any word on Rick?

Brooke: He's getting out of the hospital first thing in the morning.

Ridge: Oh, that's good news.

Brooke: Mm-hmm. We haven't had a lot of that around in the last few weeks.

Ridge: No. Which is why I decided we need a vacation.

Brooke: We're going somewhere?

Ridge: I owe you a honeymoon.

Brooke: Oh -- but I can't leave R.J.

Ridge: Are you kidding? We're going to take him with us.

Brooke: We just got back from visiting the family. He needs to get back on schedule.

Ridge: This little jet-setter? He's going to be a world traveler before he's out of diapers. Starting right now.

Brooke: We're going somewhere tonight?

Ridge: That's right. And the first stop -- is Brazil.

Eric: This wasn't supposed to be a difficult time, you know. Ridge and Brooke are back together, and all my sons working together at Forrester, Felicia back in town. I really thought it was the beginning of a new era. But now, instead, Thorne is working over at spectra, and I find out that Felicia has a drug problem?

Stephanie: Have you spoken to her?

Eric: No, no, I haven't. Every time I've gone over to see her, she's not there. But Ridge says he hasn't seen anything to worry him.

Stephanie: Eric, when she was here at the house with me, I could see that something was very wrong. She needs help. The problem is, as always the case with Felicia, is trying to convince her of that.

Felicia: I don't want to die, Nick.

Nick: Well, me either. But I'm not going to waste time worrying about it.

Felicia: You don't have cancer.

Nick: Right now, neither do you.

Felicia: Well, it could come back.

Nick: It ain't happening today.

Felicia: Look, nick, I'm just not ready to get involved with anyone.

Nick: Do you think I am?

Felicia: No. No, I knew you weren't, that's why I picked you. 'Cause I wanted to keep it simple.

Nick: I like that. "Simple." 'Cause a couple months ago, I was on the altar with a woman that I loved. And a new little daughter and a little boy on the way. And I lost all of that.

Felicia: And you don't want to lose anything else.

Nick: Not really. But you know what they say. Nothing ventured --

[ Felicia sighs ]

Nick: You know, you're probably right. This is crazy. I mean, crazy's the right word. You might as well just give it back.

Felicia: What?

Nick: The life preserver. Give it back.

Felicia: I should go.

Nick: Whatever you want.

Felicia: It's for the best.

Stephanie: She's avoiding us.

Eric: But she's still here in town.

Stephanie: For now.

Eric: Even after you confronted her about the pills, she didn't leave.

Stephanie: We may have Nick to thank for that.

Eric: Nick? How close are they?

Stephanie: They seem to spend a lot of time together.

Eric: At least she's not alone.

Stephanie: That's true, but I'm not so sure he's the right one for her, the right choice for her. I mean, he's on the rebound. He just walked away from this serious involvement with Brooke -- honey, if Felicia is going to address whatever problem she has, she has to have someone she can depend on. I'm not so sure that he's -- emotionally available. I'm not so sure that he could be there for her.

Nick: Forget something?

Felicia: No.

Nick: If you think that I'm going to chase after you --

Felicia: I don't. Especially after the number that Brooke pulled on you. I mean, don't you wish she would have walked away before you got in too deep?

Nick: No.

Felicia: So, this is your first time? Getting dumped, I mean.

Nick: Do you have to put it that way?

Felicia: I'm going to take that as a yes.

Nick: I've never been very big on relationships.

Felicia: Not the romantic type.

Nick: Well, there's nothing very romantic about being gutted like a fish.

Felicia: I've never heard it -- put quite that way before. I do know what you're talking about. 'Cause I've been there.

Nick: Well, of course. You always dump first, don't you? You dump them first. Tell me. Huh?

Felicia: Well, sometimes I'm not quick enough on the draw.

Nick: You probably had a lot of relationships, haven't you?

Felicia: Well -- not for a while.

Nick: Okay. How long?

Felicia: Well, there was someone, but when I got really sick -- well, he couldn't handle it. So, since then I've figured, you know, what's the point of feeling anything, wanting anything? You know? It's just more to lose.

Nick: What about now?

Ridge: That's it. Feel that Brazilian beat.

[ Brooke laughs ]

Ridge: How do you like that? Yes siree. He likes it, he likes it. Okay, close your eyes. Close your eyes, see us lounging in Rio. Visualize that, okay? Just keep your eyes closed, visualize. Visualize us walking on that street in front of Panama beach. Hear those sounds, the music coming out of all the shops and oh, oh, the smells. Can you smell that?

Brooke: What is that?

Ridge: That is fried plantains with cinnamon and honey!

Brooke: And that's not all. This is a feast!

Catherine: Want me to take R.J.?

Ridge: No, I think we're going to keep him with us, thank you. Thank you, Catherine. Right, you just try one of these. Try that. How is that, huh?

Brooke: Mm! Mm, heavenly.

Ridge: Fasten your seatbelt, missy, because this is only the start. I'm going to take you places you've only imagined.

Brooke: Well, we've been to Brazil. Where do we go next?

Ridge: Wherever your heart desires.

Brooke: Why don't we ask R.J.? If he wakes up. Do you want to go to India? Oh, I know. Maybe Belgium, huh? Not Belgium. Ah, Greece. Yeah, yeah, that's it. I think he likes the colors.

Ridge: He's got his daddy's eye for beauty.

Brooke: And his mother's love of the ocean.

Ridge: But that's not all Greece has to offer. No, no, no.

Brooke: Stuffed grape leaves.

Ridge: Mm-hmm. Try that.

Brooke: Mm.

Ridge: Mm. So fresh, you can taste the Mediterranean breeze. Mm, mm, mm. But Greece wouldn't be complete without a trip to the beautiful island of Santorini and some Kefalotiri.

Brooke: From Miklos' farm?

Ridge: He sends his best. Try this one.

Brooke: Mm.

Ridge: Yes. Mm, mm, mm. Now, Julian sent a little something along as well. We're talking Belgium, we're talking flourless torte made from the finest dark chocolate in the world!

Brooke: Ohh! Now that is my favorite part about traveling.

Ridge: Try this.

[ Laughing ]

Brooke: Mm, you've really got to try that.

Ridge: Oh, yeah. Getting light headed? You know what this reminds me of?

Brooke: Our wedding night, Puerto Vista.

Ridge: When we had that chocolate for good luck.

Brooke: Well, hopefully, this turns out better.

Ridge: You don't have to worry about that. Because everything is just as it should be. All you have to do, my dear, is sit back and relax and enjoy it.

Brooke: Believe me, I intend to.

Eric: So you're saying that if Nick and Felicia were romantically involved, you wouldn't approve of that?

Stephanie: Well, it's nothing against him. It's just this whole rebound situation with Brooke. Is he ready for some sort of serious relationship? And look at Felicia. Look at the way she's lived her whole life. I mean, just always on the go, always moving around.

Eric: Well, they have that in common. Maybe he understands her, maybe that's why she's letting him in.

Stephanie: Wait a minute -- you'd be all right with this? Her becoming involved with Massimo's son?

[ Eric sighs ]

Eric: Look, if he really cares about her, that's the only thing that matters to me.

Stephanie: Well, then, maybe the help can come from Nick. She certainly isn't going to accept it from us.

Felicia: Nick, I'm scared.

Nick: Of me?

Felicia: Of this. I don't think I can do this.

Nick: 'Cause you don't want to do it?

Felicia: Oh, I do. It's just been so long -- I can't. I can't.

Nick: Yes, you can. We're going to bring you back to life.

Felicia: Thank you, Nick.

Nick: Well, I do aim to please.

Felicia: And you succeeded brilliantly.

Nick: You almost sound surprised.

Felicia: No, no don't take that personally. It's just -- you know, I've been at war with my own body for so long. I mean, cancer's not like other diseases. You know, it's not like your fighting some alien invader, or some virus or time bomb your parents left in your genes. You're fighting yourself. My body was the enemy, it was letting me down.

Nick: Didn't let you down tonight.

Felicia: No, it didn't. And neither did you.

Nick: Looks like we've created a monster.

Felicia: You have no one to blame but yourself. You were so determined, weren't you? To bring me back to the land of the living.

Nick: You did the same for me.

Felicia: Really? So, I was a positive influence? That may be a first. You better be careful, Nick Marone. 'Cause you may never get rid of me.

Ridge: How's our little world traveler?

Brooke: Still sleepy.

Ridge: Maybe he's jet-lagged.

Brooke: He's been around the world in one night. He should be tired.

Ridge: How about you?

Brooke: I'm not tired, I'm just relaxed.

Ridge: See? I told you we needed a vacation.

Brooke: You were right.

Ridge: You know, there are a few destinations left on our itinerary.

Brooke: Why don't we save those for our first year anniversary?

Ridge: Uh-oh. Honeymoon's over.

Brooke: No, never. But the best thing about traveling is coming home.

Ridge: It's the best part about going anywhere, really. Even if it's to the store, the gym, or work. 'Cause I know I coming home to you.

Brooke: There is one trip I'd like you to arrange. Going back in time. 'Cause I'd like to visit that girl that I used to be. So scared and unsure about everything. Except for her love for you. I can tell her everything is going to work out just fine. And that she shouldn't lose hope or faith. That someday, in spite of all the separations, and the mistakes and the heartbreaks -- she would get her happy ending. And it would be worth every tear that she ever cried.

Ridge: I just wish there didn't have to be any tears at all.

Brooke: We had to go through all that to get where we are. And I would do it again. It would probably kill me, but I would. I would do it all over again, if I knew this was my reward. You, our baby, this life -- it's better than anything I ever hoped for. Thank you. Thank you for loving me.

Ridge: As if I had a choice. Logan, I'm always going to love you. You don't need a time machine because the only place I want to be is right here, right now. With you. It's amazing!
