Jackie: Oh.

[ Laughter ]

Deacon: Stop, stop. Stay still, because I know exactly what I'm doing here.

Jackie: It tickles, Deacon. Okay. Okay, this proves it. I am now absolutely, officially a new woman.

Deacon: How do you mean?

Jackie: Well, not only am I allowing you to tattoo me, albeit with henna, I'm enjoying it.

Deacon: Well, you should enjoy it. It's only going to make you sexier.

Jackie: So? I already feel like the most desirable woman in Los Angeles.

Deacon: You should make that the planet.

Jackie: Do you have any idea how long it's been since I've felt like a -- sexual being? Thank you.

Deacon: Jackie, the pleasure has been all mine.

Jackie: No. It's not just the sex, you know. You actually enjoy having conversations with me. If you don't, you do a better job of faking it than Massimo ever did.

Deacon: You know, Jackie, then I think that's Massimo's loss. Because I do love talking to you -- I think you're funny and you're insightful, and you're, I don't know, I think you're fantastic.

Jackie: I love talking to you, too. And it doesn't matter what we talk about, right? Politics, the movies --

[ Jackie sighs ] The insanity of our lives.

Deacon: Yeah.

Jackie: You seem to understand me, Deacon, in a way that no one ever has.

Deacon: I think we understand each other. And I also think that you're done.

Jackie: Oh? I can look?

Deacon: Take a look.

Jackie: Thank you. Oh. It's great. Lovely. What is it?

Deacon: It's a sharp. Like, you know, in music.

Jackie: Music? Ah, like in Deacon Sharpe.

Deacon: Right there, see?

Jackie: I see, so actually what you've done here is you've marked me as your personal property.

Deacon: I guess that is one way of looking at it, isn't it?

Jackie: Now, what would happen if I wanted to, say, brand you?

Deacon: I'm a step ahead of you.

Jackie: What?

Deacon: Oh, yeah. Get ready for this.

Jackie: What?

[ Laughter ]Jackie: You're frightening me.

Deacon: Tada!

Jackie: It's a union jack.

Deacon: No, it's a union Jackie. Stupid.

Jackie: You're crazy.

Deacon: Crazy about you.

Caitlin: Dad? What are you doing? What did he say to you?

Hector: Rick and I were discussing a few things, Caitlin. Things that concern the both of us. And now Rick has something to tell you, Caitlin.

Caitlin: What?

Brooke: Oh, Rick. Oh, sweetheart, how are you? I got here as soon I could, but all the flights were delayed in San Francisco because of the thunderstorms --

Rick: Mom, Mom, calm down. It's okay.

Brooke: Oh, god.

Rick: I'm gonna be fine, I promise.

Brooke: Look at you. Who did this to you? Has anybody called the police?

Hector: Mrs. Forrester, I'm the one who hit Rick.

Brooke: You?

Hector: Yes, it was an accident.

Brooke: Well, of course it was an accident. You wouldn't run him over intentionally. Eric said this happened in the driveway, at the house.

Rick: It was raining pretty hard and --

Brooke: And you went there to pick up Caitlin?

Caitlin: No. He was there to have a talk with Rick.

Brooke: What does that mean?

Hector: I had just found out about your son and Caitlin.

Brooke: That they're dating.

Hector: A little more than that.

Brooke: Rick? What is he talking about?

Jackie: What, you're leaving?

Deacon: I'm sorry. I didn't mean wake you up.

Jackie: No, no, it's fine. Where are you going?

Deacon: I'm just going to go run a couple of errands. Okay? I'll be back soon.

Jackie: Okay.

Deacon: What I really need to do is go hit the gym and work off that breakfast you made.

Jackie: Don't worry, I'll make sure you get a lot of exercise when you get back.

Deacon: It's my turn to cook tonight. Any requests?

Jackie: Surprise me. I'm entirely in your hands.

Deacon: Very smart lady. See ya.

Jackie: Oh, boy.

[ Cell phone rings ]

Jackie: Hello, Massimo.

Massimo: Jacqueline, I've been trying to reach you all day. Haven't you been getting my messages?

Jackie: No, I haven't actually checked my voicemail. I've been busy.

Massimo: Well, I need you to meet me at the house as soon as possible.

Jackie: Isn't this something we can take care of over the phone?

Massimo: No. We most definitely cannot. I'll explain it when you come to the house.

Jackie: Massimo, I don't know --

[ Cell phone hangs up ] Hello? Hello?

Hector: Go ahead, Rick. Tell your mother what you were about to do.

Rick: Things got a little out of hand.

Hector: Out of hand? Is that what you call it?

Caitlin: Dad, please.

Brooke: You two had sex?

Rick: No.

Hector: They were in bed together! When Caitlin's mother called her and cut their evening short.

Rick: Caitlin and I both realize that we took things a little too fast.

Brooke: Well, that's good to hear. I understand how things can get carried away, but Caitlin is much too young --

Rick: I know, mom. All right?

Brooke: The important thing is that you're okay. That both of you are okay.

Hector: Excuse me for asking -- but are you out of your mind?

Rick: Hey!

Brooke: Rick, it's all right. Mr. Ramirez is very upset, and I can certainly understand why. But if you two promise to keep things less intense, I'm sure he'll realize that there was no harm done here. Right?

Hector: Wrong. Maybe in your world, these things aren't a big deal, okay? But Caitlin and I don't come from your world. We have a different lifestyle and very different values.

Brooke: You may be surprised to find out, Mr. Ramirez, that I grew up in a neighborhood not too far from yours. And I don't appreciate the insinuations. For you to say that I'm somehow lacking in my morals.

Hector: With all due respect -- you didn't even know who fathered your baby until after it was born.

Rick: That is none of your damn business.

Caitlin: He didn't mean it, Mrs. Forrester, I swear. Dad, how could you?

Hector: I'm making a point, okay? Your approval of this little romance isn't good enough for me. Your son is too old for my daughter. He's playing in a different league. I am not going to stand by and watch while he uses his charm, his fancy house and his expense account to take advantage of my daughter.

Brooke: They gave us their word that they're going to wait.

Hector: Until when? Tomorrow? Next week?

Rick: I don't know what I can say to you to make you believe --

Hector: Nothing! Considering the fact that you convinced my own daughter to lie to me.

Caitlin: Dad, that wasn't his fault. I was going to tell you last night.

Hector: I would've told you the same thing last night that I'm telling you now. This relationship is over. Okay? You guys aren't going to see each other any more.

Brooke: They do work together.

Hector: No, they don't. It's a big company, Mrs. Forrester, I'm sure you can find something else for your son to do in it. But if you can't control him, fine. I will pull my daughter out.

Caitlin: Dad!

Brooke: I understand your concern, I really do. But isn't there some way we can talk about this and come up with a solution that works out for all of us.

Hector: Well, I thought we just did.

Brooke: First of all, your daughter has made a commitment to Forrester.

Hector: Are you threatening legal action?

Brooke: No, of course not.

Hector: Good. Because I would hate to have to press charges against Forrester's V.P. For attempted statutory rape.

Caitlin: Oh, my god. How can you say those things? Why are you doing this to me?

Deacon: Honey, I'm home! Hey, Jackie, listen I got the pictures. They look fantastic. Wait till you see these. Jackie, did you climb back into bed? Because, you know, if you did, I mean, that's cool, too. She took her purse. That's kind of strange.

Claudette: Good afternoon, madam.

Jackie: Hello, Claudette. Massimo asked me to drop by.

Claudette: Yes, of course. Please, do come in.

Jackie: I'm surprised he hasn't tossed this into the rubbish heap.

Claudette: He has been very busy, madam. But I will let him know that you have arrived.

Jackie: That was me. That was who I became the day that I moved into this house and became the proud, dutiful wife of the great Massimo Marone.

Massimo: Jacqueline.

Jackie: Massimo.

Massimo: I was planning on destroying it.

Jackie: Well you can tear it to shreds if it'll make you feel any better.

[ Phone ringing ]

Jackie: Hello, you've

reached jackie marone.

Please leave a message

and I'll call you back

as soon as I can.

Deacon: Hey, it's me calling. Again. Just checking to see where you are. So, give me a call when you get a chance, okay? Bye. Man, she is gonna love these.

Massimo: It doesn't matter to you what I am thinking, hmm?

Jackie: I gave you what you wanted. I signed the divorce papers. And if you're still angry with me, fine. I don't blame you, not one little bit. But if you want someone to take it out on, then you take it out her, because I have suffered enough.

Massimo: Jacqueline, wait. I know that the past months have been very difficult for you.

Jackie: Difficult? Do you know that up until recently, they have been living hell.

Massimo: I'm glad to hear it.

Jackie: Yes. Of course you are.

Massimo: You know, Jacqueline, it was good for you. This time of suffering. It's taught you as nothing else could the value of family, integrity, honesty.

Jackie: Oh, it's taught me a lot more than that. And if you think that for --

Massimo: I learned something, too. I learned -- I don't want to live without you. I've thought a lot about what's happened and the lies that you told me. And as angry as I was, and as much as I've lost, I believed you when you said that you had Dominick's best interests at heart. Now, your crime was one of poor judgment, not malice.

Jackie: Massimo.

Massimo: No, no, no. I don't want to dredge it all up again, okay? Because if we're to put this behind us, then --

Jackie: Behind us? What are you saying?

Massimo: I'm taking you back.

Jackie: No. You don't mean that. You can't.

Massimo: This is how much I mean it.

Caitlin: You haven't done enough? You almost killed him. And now you want to send him to jail?

Hector: If that's what it takes to get through to him.

Rick: What does it take to get through to you? To make you understand how much I care about your daughter? I mean, if anyone should know what it's like, it's you. My god!

Brooke: That's true. Everything you've been through with Samantha.

Hector: Don't go there.

Caitlin: Why not? Because it shows what a hypocrite you are?

Hector: You want to follow our example, Caitlin? Is that what's romantic to you? What we went through?

Caitlin: No.

Hector: I wish to god someone had slowed us down, made me think, before I put your mother in a position that she couldn't handle.

Caitlin: That's not going to happen to us.

Hector: I see. So now you're not like us.

Caitlin: I'm not gonna to get pregnant.

Hector: Has he been tested for HIV? Do you even know? How many women has he been with, Caty? Have you talked to him about these things? What sex means to him?

Caitlin: That doesn't matter. Because we're not going to have sex.

Hector: And just last night you told me how "beautiful" it would've been. You're in so far over your head, little girl, you have no idea.

Caitlin: I'm not a little girl.

Hector: Baby, you are no more ready for this than your mother was. I wish I could go back in time and change what I did to her life, and to your life, but I can't. But I can stop this from happening again.

Rick: That's not fair. I'm not you.

Hector: I am well aware of that.

Rick: I meant, I would never do anything to hurt her.

Hector: If that's true, then tell her it's over. Right now.

Caitlin: No! It won't be over, no matter what you make him say.

Rick: Caitlin. Don't cry. Everything's going to be okay. I promise. I guess, yeah, timing's pretty screwed up for us. I'm so sorry.

Caitlin: No, don't.

Hector: Tell her.

Brooke: Honey, I know how important she is to you. But maybe you could wait till she's a little bit older, and her father's has a chance to get to know you better.

Caitlin: I don't want to lose you.

Rick: You're not going to.

Caitlin: Let go!

Hector: All right. We will do this my way!

Caitlin: Dad, you cannot just --

Brooke: Hector, please!

Caitlin: Let me go. Whether you believe me or not, I love him.

Hector: We are going home. Right now.

Caitlin: Don't make me choose between you two. Because I will.
