Hector: What about Caty? Is she in some kind of trouble? Thomas, answer me. My daughter, is she in trouble?

                        *********************************************************************************

Rick: You sure about this?

Caitlin: Yes. I'm sure about you. My whole life, I always imagined what he'd be like. The man that someday I would love. The kinds of things that he would think about. The way he would treat me. What would make him laugh.

Rick: So you had a shopping list?

Caitlin: See, I -- I even knew that he would tease me, just like that.

Rick: You saying I measure up?

Caitlin: I'm saying it's the list that didn't measure up to you. I want to be with you in every way.

                        *************************************************************************************

Nick: Oh, not so tight. I can't breathe, I can't breathe.

[ Nick gasping for air ]

Catherine: She's missed her favorite sea captain.

Nick: You missed me? Did you miss me, huh? Did you? Huh, did you miss me?

Hope: Uh-huh.

Nick: How much? Did you miss me like that much?

Hope: More.

Nick: More? More? You miss me like that much maybe?

Hope: You're silly.

Nick: Well, you're -- you're a cutie. I'm a silly, but you're a cutie. I'm gonna rob you. Stick 'em up. Stick 'em up. Ah, I gotcha. I gotcha.

[ Hope laughs ]

Nick:  All right, stick 'em up. Stick 'em up. Stick 'em up.

Catherine: I hate to break this up, but it's past somebody's bedtime.

Nick: Uh-oh.

Catherine: Can you say good night, sweetie?

Hope: Good night, Uncle Nick. I love you.

Nick: Oh. I love you, too. There you go.

Catherine: Come on, sweetie.

Nick: Stick 'em up. Stick 'em up. Stick 'em up.

[ Hope laughs ]

Felicia: Even the little ones are crazy about him.

Nick: Well, there's that little spitfire that I came to see.

Felicia: Yeah? Well, maybe you should've called first, sailor. This spitfire's already got a hot date.

                        **********************************************************************************

Thomas: There's something you should know, something Caitlin hasn't told you about.

Hector: Caitlin doesn't keep things from me.

Thomas: What about her internship at Forrester? She didn't tell you about that.

Hector: Because she knows how I felt about it. Caty and I already straightened all that out. Why are you bringing it up now?

Thomas: Because you don't know her as well as you think.

Hector: Excuse me?

Thomas: Of course, I mean, you're not the only one. I thought I knew her, too, but that's not right.

Hector: Thomas, stop. Okay, I don't know what you're getting at, but if something has happened between you and Caitlin --

Thomas: No, not between us. Look, I wouldn't be here, except I know how worried you've been. You asked my dad to keep an eye on her, and you don't want Caitlin getting caught up in the fast lane.

Hector: And Ridge gave me his word. I put my faith in that. Are you telling me I shouldn't have?

Thomas: Remember the night at the premiere, when I was supposed to walk Caitlin out in the finale?

Hector: Yeah, you weren't feeling well or something.

Thomas: Because of something I saw backstage.

Hector: Something you saw? What, Thomas? What did you see?

Thomas: Look, just so you know, I'm not angry at Caitlin. I mean, she got caught up in something. I still want the best for her.

Hector: Well, of course you do. You're her boyfriend.

Thomas: No. I'm not. I never really was.

Hector: What are you talking about?

Thomas: I thought Caitlin liked me the same way I like her, but I found out that I was wrong.

Hector: Thomas, you're not making any sense. Okay? All Caitlin's been talking about all summer is her boyfriend. I mean, if it's not you -- it has to be you.

Thomas: Or she would have told you that she's seeing someone else, right?

Hector: Right.

Thomas: Even if it's someone she knew you wouldn't approve of?

Hector: Come here. All right, out with it. What does this have -- ?

Thomas: Rick. Rick is Caitlin's boyfriend.

Hector: Rick Forrester?

Thomas: I was totally clueless. I mean, I had no idea until I saw them backstage kissing at the fashion --

Hector: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a second. It could have been a kiss for good luck, Thomas.

Thomas: No. It was way more than that.

Hector: How do you know?

Thomas: Because they admitted it. Rick's been chasing Caitlin practically since they met. They didn't want you to find out.

Hector: No. No. She would have told me. Rick's too old for her, okay? He's divorced and a hell of a lot more experienced.

Thomas: Well, why do you think he didn't want you to find out? What are you gonna do?

                        **********************************************************************************

Caitlin: Okay, Rick, I put my stuff in the bathroom just so it could dry. Rick.

Rick: It's called improvising.

Caitlin: It's called romantic.

Rick: Oh, Caitlin. I just want everything to be perfect.

Caitlin: It already is.

Rick: Yeah, but still, your first time, it should be --

Caitlin: Everything yours wasn't.

Rick: Till now. 'Cause for all the reasons that really matter, Caitlin, this is my first time, too. Because I'm with someone who I love and respect. This is about making love, not just having sex.

Caitlin: Well, don't worry. I'll be gentle.

Rick: God, I love that smile. I love everything about you.

Caitlin: I love everything about you.

Rick: Well, you don't know everything about me.

Caitlin: I know that I will never feel about anyone the way that I feel about you. That's why I don't want to keep it a secret anymore. I love you so much. And I want to share that with everyone. But especially with --

Rick: Your father.

Caitlin: I'm gonna tell him tonight. Because until I am completely honest with him -- what you and I have, Rick, is so special, and I know that I can make him see that.

[ Cell phone rings ]

Rick: Your purse is ringing.

Caitlin: Really? I don't hear a thing.

                        *******************************************************************************************

Nick: Well, got a hot date, huh? Who's the lucky guy?

Felicia: Who said anything about a guy? I'm gonna curl up with a good book and a pint of pistachio ice cream.

Nick: Really? Well, the ice cream sounds good, but a night home alone, here -- boring. I think we can do better than that, don't you?

Music

Felicia: I'm not playing hard-to-get.

Nick: No, no, no. I know that.

Felicia: No, I really would rather be alone tonight.

Nick: No, you wouldn't.

Felicia: You think you can see through me?

Nick: Well, I didn't at first, but I do now. You see, I think you'd rather walk the plank than admit that you need someone.

Felicia: Look, I've been flying solo for a very long time, and I've managed just fine, thank you.

Nick: Well, things change. You know? You don't always have to go it alone.

Felicia: Look, I don't know where all this is coming from.

Nick: The last time we were together you said that you could fall for me, that I was a fun guy, that we could have fun together, didn't ya? Or didn't ya mean it?

Felicia: Yeah, well, sometimes I say a lot of things I don't really mean.

Nick: Well, that wasn't one of them. And I think it scares you. And I know why.

                        *********************************************************************************************

Hector: Caty! Caitlin, get down here right now, young lady!

Samantha: Hey, what in the world?

Hector: Where's our daughter?

Samantha: She's not here.

Hector: She's not here? She phoned me earlier, said she was headed straight home.

Samantha: Honey, what is it? What happened?

Hector: Thomas came by the firehouse tonight, said the guy our daughter's been seeing all summer isn't him. It's Rick Forrester. I didn't believe him. I mean, I thought there must be some explanation. How could Caty do this? How could she lie to us this way? Wait a minute. You knew? You knew, Samantha, and you kept this from me? What the hell were you thinking?

                        *************************************************************************************

Rick: Something wrong?

Caitlin: I'm just a little nervous.

Rick: You know, Caitlin, it's okay if you're not ready for this. I mean, we've got all the time in the world. I think we should wait.

Caitlin: I think we should, too.

[ Cell phone rings ]

Rick: Well. Here you go.

Caitlin: Hey, Mom. Uh, listen, I --

Samantha: Caitlin. Get home now.

Caitlin: Why? What's wrong?

Samantha: Just get here.

Rick: Something happen?

Caitlin: That was my mom. Something's wrong.

Rick: Well, what's going on?

Caitlin: I don't know. She wants me home right away. I'm sorry.

Rick: That's okay.

Samantha: She's on her way.

Rick: You sure you don't want me to drive you home?

Caitlin: Yeah. I'll be okay.

Rick: All right. Just -- take this with you. I don't want you to get soaked on the way to your car.

Caitlin: Thanks. I really am sorry.

Rick: Hey, don't worry about it. There will be other nights. You can count on it.

                        *************************************************************************************

Felicia: What, are you a sailor or a shrink, huh? I mean, this is the problem. You won't let a girl have a little fun without analyzing her every move.

Nick: Is that what you want, then? Just have fun?

Felicia: Yeah, is something wrong with that?

Nick: No.

Felicia: Good, then let's just stick to the program, okay?

Nick: 'Fraid it's a little late for that.

Felicia: Yeah, well, that's too bad, really. 'Cause at this point in my life, I can't really handle anything more.

Nick: Are you saying I can't handle it?

Felicia: I don't know what you mean.

Nick: The ship's medic. I called and asked about the friend. You're the friend. I asked him about the pills in your purse. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.

[ Felicia sobbing ]

                        *******************************************************************************************

Thomas: Unbelievable.

Rick: Thomas?

Thomas: You go straight from defending yourself to me --

Rick: I don't have to defend myself to anyone.

Thomas: Into bed with her? And don't bother lying. I know it was Caitlin. I saw her leaving.

Rick: I wasn't going to lie, man.

Thomas: Oh, of course you were, Rick. It's all you know how to do. Isn't that what you told Amber? Hypocrite.

Rick: You know what, Thomas, whatever you think of me --

Thomas: It's not just me, now. Everybody knows your big secret.

Rick: What are you talking about? Damn it, Thomas, what have you done?

Hector: How could you let this happen, Samantha? You and my daughter keeping me in the dark this whole time.

Samantha: Hector, no. It wasn't like that.

Hector: Well, how was it then? Because the way I see it --

Samantha: Caitlin confided in me. She told me about her feelings for Rick. She asked me not to tell anyone.

Hector: "Not to tell anyone." Like her own father? The man who's raised her, been there for her her whole life?

Samantha: Hector, she didn't want to shut you out, it's just --

Hector: Just what?

Samantha: I didn't want to betray her trust. We're just getting to know each other as mother and daughter. And besides, I knew you would react exactly like this.

Hector: How am I supposed to react? Forrester's in his 20s. Samantha, he's going to want different things from Caty than a boy her age. You are her mother. You should have been looking out for her.

Samantha: I'm sorry. I thought --

Hector: I will not tolerate being lied to in my own home, after all the secrets and the lies that kept us from being a family. I want the truth, Samantha, and I want it now. How far has it gone?

Samantha: What?

Hector: How far?

Samantha: I don't -- not very far, I don't think. Oh, great, now you don't believe me.

Hector: I have protected Caitlin her whole life, Samantha. And against my better judgment, I let her go to Forrester Creations, because you said it was going to be safe.

Samantha: She is safe.

Hector: How do you know? How do we know? Do you know where she was when you called her? What she was doing? Who she was with? Oh, my god, Samantha. We both know she was with Rick. And so help me god, if he's laid a hand on my little girl --

Caitlin: Hi, guys. Man, Dad, you were right. That storm, it is so bad. Mom, when you called -- is everything all right?

Samantha: Caitlin, your father has some questions for you.

Caitlin: Okay. Um, well, let me just go put my jacket down.

Hector: Caitlin! Where the hell have you been?
