Thomas: Hey, why'd you stop?

Amber: Oh.

Thomas: Oh, yeah. Oh, that feels good.

Amber: Okay, we're done.

Thomas: What? What?

Amber: All that negative energy is -- gone.

Thomas: No, no, no, I've still got negative energy. See, right there.

Amber: Listen, kid, you gotta go.

Thomas: Why? Why? Did I do something wrong?

Amber: No. It's me. I was having some very wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, thoughts and --

Thomas: Thoughts about me?

Amber: Thomas, we -- we can't.

Thomas: The hell we can't.

Felicia: Ahoy. Anybody home?

Nick: I'm home. Why aren't you?

Felicia: I was looking for a little peace and quiet. Can't get that at Ridge's. Not with a couple newlyweds and five ecstatic kids.

Nick: Well, as much as I'd love to hear the details of their domestic bliss.

Felicia: You're in some mood.

Nick: It just struck me.

Felicia: Oh. I shouldn't have brought up Brooke. I'm sorry.

Nick: No, no, no, it's all right. It's who you are, right? A free spirit. You say what you want when you want to say it. Come and go as you please.

Felicia: Yeah. Things we have in common.

Nick: Tell me something. If you love to travel so much, why are you still in L.A.?

Felicia: You asked me that already.

Nick: Well, I'm still waiting for an answer. An honest one.

Brooke: So Thomas hasn't called back? Well, it hasn't been that long.

Ridge: Just wish I knew where he was.

Brooke: He said he was with a friend.

Ridge: Yeah, but which friend? Why wouldn't he give me a name?

Brooke: He doesn't want you to come after him. I guess he's not ready to come home yet after what he saw. Rick and Caitlin kissing.

Ridge: I just hope nobody else saw it. Forrester's V.P. And our new teenage protégé. Great.

Brooke: If you're worried about public reaction --

Ridge: No, I'm worried about Thomas. How he'd feel seeing that lip lock in every tabloid in the supermarket.

Brooke: I don't think that's going to happen. And even if it does, I think Thomas can handle it. He's very mature.

Ridge: He's still just a boy. The last thing I want is my son getting involved in some scandal.

Amber: Oh, god, what am I doing?

Thomas: Oh, whatever it is, I like it.

Amber: Oh, stop, stop.

Thomas: Why?

Amber: You're a kid.

Thomas: I don't feel like one right now.

Amber: I know, that's my fault.

Thomas: Amber, I kissed you, remember?

Amber: Yeah, but I shouldn't have kissed you back.

Thomas: But you did and, I'm telling you, if that's the way you kiss --

Amber: Told you I'm the best.

Thomas: You want to prove it?

Brooke: There's not going to be a scandal.

Ridge: Everybody knows that Thomas was supposed to escort Caitlin when she was wearing the showstopper. Instead, Rick comes down there with her.

Brooke: I know, but they explained that to the press. Thomas wasn't feeling well.

Ridge: What if somebody tries to confirm that?

Brooke: Are you worried about Thomas or what he might say?

Ridge: Both. Mostly Thomas. He's a very sensitive kid. Always has been.

Brooke: Then you'll talk to him. It will be okay.

Ridge: Still, I'd feel better if he was just home.

Brooke: He's with friends. What kind of trouble could he get in, huh?

Amber: No, no, don't.

Thomas: Amber, you're as into this as I am.

Amber: I've been alone a very long time.

Thomas: Well, you're not now.

Amber: You came here to get your head together. And this isn't helping.

Thomas: I wouldn't be so sure.

Amber: You had a bad night.

Thomas: Well, it's getting better.

Amber: This is not the solution for either of us.

Thomas: Well, it might be fun.

Amber: No, your first time's not supposed to be "fun."

Thomas: Really?

Amber: No, it should be something special, you know? It should mean something with somebody you love.

Thomas: So we'll just fool around.

Amber: Put your shirt on. Go ahead.

Thomas: I'm gettin' to you.

Amber: Which is why you have to leave.

Thomas: You just can't resist that Forrester charm. Oh, oh. I'm sorry. I didn't -- I wasn't thinking about Rick. I've just never met anyone like you.

Amber: You never will. I'm one of a kind.

Thomas: I don't know what Rick was thinking.

Amber: Same thing you were. Caitlin is a very special girl.

Thomas: Yeah, but you're a woman. An incredible woman. And I like you a lot.

Amber: I like you, too.

Thomas: But you want me to go.

Amber: I think you should.

Thomas: Okay, okay, but you might not get another shot at me, because what were you saying, the girls are going to be throwing themselves at my feet?

Amber: Get out of here. Come on.

Thomas: How about a kiss for the road?

Amber: Okay.

Thomas: Oh, no, no, no, no, no.

Amber: Go home. Go, go now.

Thomas: Are you sure?

Amber: Yes. Yes, yes. And don't worry about Caitlin.

Thomas: Caitlin who? Thank you. Thank you for everything.

Felicia: I don't appreciate the third degree, Nick.

Nick: Oh, I'm sorry. That's right, you're looking for something, right? Your -- peace. You said you're looking for peace, right?

Felicia: Which I'm obviously not going to get here.

Nick: Where have you ever gotten it? If that's what you're really looking for.

Felicia: I don't know what you're talking about.

Nick: Oh, I think you do.

Felicia: Why are you getting so deep?

Nick: You want distractions, honey, you've come to the wrong place.

Felicia: I thought we were friends.

Nick: You don't know me. But I know all about you.

Felicia: No, you don't.

Nick: You said you love to travel, but I think you're really looking for some place to drop anchor. Some place really safe to call home.

Felicia: I have a home.

Nick: That you've been avoiding for years.

Felicia: No, I'm not avoiding anything.

Nick: You talk to your mother yet?

Felicia: What's it to you?

Nick: I'm sick of Forrester dramas. And I don't want your baggage on my boat. Now you want to hang out with me, you face reality. Otherwise, you hit the dock.

[ Knock on the door ]

Amber: Kitchen's closed, Thomas. No more goodies tonight.

Oscar: Can I come in?

Amber: What are you doing?

Oscar: That's funny, I was just about to ask you the same thing. Yeah. 'Cause I just saw you sucking face with Ridge Forrester's kid.

Ridge: Thomas, thank god.

Brooke: We were so worried about you.

Ridge: How you doing?

Thomas: Okay.

Ridge: Caitlin said you were upset.

Thomas: I was. But I'm better now.

Oscar: Have you lost your mind?

Amber: What are you doing here?

Oscar: Well, I figured after seeing Rick and Caitlin on the runway, you might be here crying your eyes out, so I just, you know.

Amber: I'm all right.

Oscar: Yeah, apparently so, you're playing tonsil hockey with a teenage kid.

Amber: We were comforting each other.

Oscar: Just how comfortable did you two get?

Amber: It was just a kiss.

Oscar: And it didn't go any further?

Amber: It could have, but I stopped it.

Oscar: Why did you let it start?

Amber: Well, it just kind of snuck up on us. You know, I mean, I was giving him a massage and --

Oscar: Oh, come on.

Amber: No. No, he needed to relax.

Oscar: And what about you? What did you get out of the deal?

Amber: It was flattering. Having a kid like that get all hot and bothered over me.

Oscar: There it is. "A kid like that." "A kid like that." You mean, a Forrester.

Amber: Oh, don't.

Oscar: No, no. Now I know how much that family means to you.

Amber: It has nothing to do with them.

Oscar: Okay, let's please be honest here. Okay? Now, amber, it was a different world for you when you were living inside that circle. Part of that family. Living the life. No worries. Everything taken care of. I mean, come on.

Amber: So you think I'm using Thomas? No, no. Okay, he is a sweet kid who needed someone to talk to.

Oscar: Okay. There it is, see, he's a kid now, but in a few years, Ridge Forrester's son is going to --

Amber: Is going to be hot property.

Oscar: Yeah. And I figured maybe you just want to get a jump on the competition.

Amber: No, no, no. Okay, it was a rotten night. And I gave him a massage. And then he made me laugh. So I gave him a thrill.

Oscar: Okay, okay, okay. Whatever. Just don't do it again.

Amber: I don't believe this. I don't believe this. You're coming down on me? Okay, Rick is over there with Caitlin doing the exact same thing.

Oscar: All right, fine, so the guy's a dog. But if this gets out, they're going to be calling you a lot worse. All right?

Amber: Oh, 'cause I'm a woman?

Oscar: No, no, not 'cause you're a woman. 'Cause you got a history with these people, Amber. And if you're smart, you won't repeat it.

Ridge: You want to talk?

Thomas: No, thanks.

Brooke: I can leave you two alone.

Thomas: No, it's cool. Caitlin told you what happened, right? I saw her kissing Rick?

Ridge: Yeah.

Brooke: She feels terrible about that. They both do.

Thomas: Nobody's got to feel sorry for me. I'm fine.

Ridge: No one would blame you if you were angry.

Thomas: What's the point? I mean, Caitlin likes Rick. I get that.

Ridge: You're okay with that?

Thomas: Got to focus on what I have, not what I don't have.

Brooke: That's a very mature attitude.

Thomas: Well, I'm a pretty mature guy.

Ridge: I know Caitlin was very important to you.

Thomas: Yeah, apparently, I wasn't so important to her.

Brooke: No, you are. She talked a lot about that.

Ridge: This was supposed to be an important night for you guys.

Thomas: It wasn't a total bust.

Ridge: Well, you were looking forward to walking Caitlin down that runway, weren't you?

Thomas: I look forward to a lot of stuff, dad. Some of it happens, some of it doesn't. Now, can I go crash? I'm beat.

Ridge: Yeah. If you want to talk, I'm going to be up for awhile.

Thomas: Thanks. Good night.

Felicia: You want me to leave?

Nick: I want you to be honest.

Felicia: I don't have to tell you anything, Nick.

Nick: No, you don't. But if you want to stop sailing in circles, at least be honest with yourself.

Felicia: I just don't know where this is coming from.

Nick: Well, if you don't want to hear it, you can go. I'm not the one lookin' for company remember.

Felicia: That's all I'm looking for. You know, just to hang out, have fun.

Nick: That's right. You thought I'd just play along with it. Honey, I am the master of that routine.

Felicia: What routine?

Nick: Pretending I'm not lonely.

Felicia: Oh, now who's got the baggage? You see, I'm not lonely. No, I am surrounded by people all the time.

Nick: Strangers.

Felicia: No, friends.

Nick: Who just think you're the hottest thing in the world, don't they? Little Felicia Forrester, a big jetsetter. It's real glamorous to them, isn't it?

Felicia: Not to you.

Nick: I know the truth.

Felicia: Oh, god, I can't believe how arrogant you are!

Nick: Guess I struck a nerve.

Felicia: What, this is all an act? You said so yourself, I barely know you. Why would I bother lying to you?

Nick: Because it becomes second nature. I just thought you could use a break.

Felicia: From being a fake?

Nick: You tell me I'm wrong.

Felicia: I'm not going to tell you anything.

Nick: Hey, Forrester, forgot your bag. What's this?

Felicia: None of your damn business. Just like the rest of my life!

Amber: I don't have to listen to this.

Oscar: Are you going to leave Thomas alone?

Amber: Yes.

Oscar: If he calls you?

Amber: He won't.

Oscar: If he does?

Amber: If he does, I will tell him the same thing I'm telling you. Adios. Sayonara. Toodle-loo. Good-bye.

Brooke: He seems okay.

Ridge: I'm not so sure about that.

Brooke: That's not the reaction we expected. Teenagers are hard to predict.

Ridge: Something must have happened.

Brooke: He had a good talk with his friend.

Ridge: We still don't know where he was.

Brooke: Well, he's home now. It doesn't matter.

Ridge: Well, maybe it does. Did you get the feeling that he was hiding something?

Brooke: Maybe he didn't want us to see how hurt he really is.

Ridge: Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he's feeling better. It just seems kind of strange. He's never been one of those people who just turn on a dime.

Brooke: You're not afraid he's been drinking? He didn't seem --

Ridge: No, no, no, not that. Just -- there is something.

Brooke: Obviously, he didn't want to talk about it.

Ridge: Yeah. I guess we'll just have to keep an eye on him.

[ Phone rings ]

Amber: Hello?

Thomas: Hey, it's me. Thomas.

Amber, you there?

Amber: You shouldn't have called me.

Thomas: Well, I wanted to see you again. Like, tomorrow.

Amber: I can't.

Thomas: You afraid you won't be able to resist me?

Amber: You know what? Just -- just stop it, okay? This isn't funny.

Thomas: Who's joking?

Amber: Look, Thomas, I'm glad you're feeling better. I really am, but this thing has gotten way --

Thomas: Oh, are we having a thing?

Amber: No. No, no. No, we are not. And you know, don't even think about it.

Thomas: Well, you're all I'm going to be thinking about.

Amber: That's it. That's it. Okay, if you don't stop it right now, I'm hanging up. Do you hear me?

Thomas: Come on, loosen up, I just wanted to say good night.

Amber: And that's it?

Thomas: And to wish you sweet dreams. I know mine are going to be.
