Sally: How's it going, Einstein? You almost ready?

Darla: You know, you're not gonna be able to call me that for very much longer.

Sally: What? Einstein?

Darla: Mm-hmm.

Sally: Don't be ridiculous. You're always gonna be my Einstein. My own personal Einstein, even though you're also Mrs. Forrester.

Darla: Darla Forrester.

[ Knock on door ]

Sally: Oh, for pete's sake. That's probably your fiancÚ. Can't he wait five minutes? Bugs me! Come on! Hey, what's the hurry? Give us a couple of minutes here to get ready and --

[ Sally gasps ] C.J.!

C.J.: Hey, mom. You look great.

Sally: Thank you, honey.

C.J.: You clean up real nice. Good.

Darla: C.J. You came!

C.J.: You didn't think I'd miss your big day, did you?

Darla: Hi, sweetie! Did you two plan this?

C.J.: Nope.

Darla: Sally said that you'd probably be too busy to come.

Sally: I told her all about the new coffee shop you're opening in San Francisco.

C.J.: Oh.

Darla: That's great.

C.J.: Yeah. Pretty cool. What about you? Getting married. New baby.

Darla: Yeah. Yeah, I've got a lot to be happy about.

C.J.: I'm happy for you, Darla.

Darla: You are?

C.J.: I will have to admit, it was a little difficult to stomach at first -- you and Thorne. But mom straightened me out on that, like she always does. She says you guys are good together.

Sally: I also e-mailed him a couple of pictures of the beautiful Alexandria.

Darla: Oh!

C.J.: She is so cute. Where is she? Can I see her?

Darla: She's up at the house.

C.J.: Well, you know what? I'll let you finish getting ready. And I'll go take a peek, okay?

Darla: Okay.

C.J.: I'll take this.

Darla: Thanks, C.J. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for coming. You have no idea what this means to me to have my family here.

C.J.: No problem. Good luck.

Darla: Thanks.

                        *******************************************************************************************

Thorne: I'm so glad you came.

Kristen: What? Are you kidding me? I wouldn't miss this for the world.

Thorne: I'm glad you're here.

Kristen: Good to see you.

Thorne: Hey, Samantha.

Kristen: Sammy!

Samantha: Oh, my gosh! Kristen!

[ Both talking at once ]

Thorne: This is my sister Kristen.

Kristen: You must be Hector.

Hector: How do you do?

Kristen: Nice to meet you.

Samantha: And this is our daughter Caitlin.

Caitlin: Hi.

Kristen: Caitlin? So you're the young lady I've been hearing so much about.

Thomas: Wow. Caitlin, you look amazing.

Caitlin: Thank you.

Clarke: Is this the VIP entrance?

Thorne: Hey, guys. I'm glad you made it.

Samantha: Hector, this is Clarke Garrison, Logan's head designer.

Clarke: Hello. Actually, we're Spectra again.

Kristen: Wow. Sally must be thrilled.

Clarke: Well, my dear, that's the understatement of the year.

Megan: Caitlin. It's good to see you again.

Caitlin: Hi. You, too. Megan works at Forrester.

Hector: Good to see you again.

Megan: Yeah. We met. I have to say, we really miss your daughter.

Clarke: Well, it's too late. Because you're not gonna get her back.

[ All laugh ]

                        ********************************************************************************

Rick: Hey, mom. I didn't know you were going to be here.

Eric: She came with Ridge and the kids.

Rick: What?

Brooke: Honey, let's talk about this later.

Rick: Where is he?

Eric: He's with Stephanie. So whatever it is you want to say, you can rest assured that he's heard it all -- and then some.

[ Rick sighs ]

Ridge: Seeing me with Brooke is going to kill you? Isn't that a tad melodramatic?

Stephanie: I'm being honest with you, Ridge.

Ridge: Oh. Honest. Why do I get the feeling I'm being manipulated here? The same way you've always manipulated Brooke.

                        ********************************************************************************

Caitlin: Hey, what are you doing?

Thomas: I figured you might need a break.

Caitlin: Well, I just got here.

Thomas: Yeah. And already, how many people have asked you what it's like to have a new mother?

Caitlin: A few. But I don't think my dad would like me sneaking off.

Thomas: Then I guess I better make this quick.

Caitlin: What?

Thomas: This.

[ All talking at once ]

                        ************************************************************************************

Thorne: Hey, you.

Brooke: Thorne. Hi.

Thorne: I'm really glad you came. It means a lot to both of us.

Brooke: I wish your mother felt that way.

Thorne: Well, I'm the only one that counts. I mean, it is my wedding.

Minister: Thorne, it's time to begin.

Thorne: Okay. Thanks, reverend.

Eric: I'll get everyone seated.

Thorne: I don't see mother and Ridge. Tell me they're not still arguing.

                        ***************************************************************************************

Stephanie: I'm not manipulating you.

Ridge: Well, gee. That's kind of hard to tell for me because, what, a couple weeks ago, you told Brooke that you loved her? Which, of course, was a lie. So you can see why I might be just a little bit confused.

Stephanie: I'll tell you who's confused. It's your children. Last week, Brooke professes her undying love for their uncle -- who, by the way, is the father of her child. And this week, she shows up at this wedding with you as your date. What in the hell are these kids supposed to think?

Ridge: That she's finally come to her senses.

Stephanie: What about the baby?

Ridge: We're gonna raise him together.

Stephanie: You're prepared to raise another man's -- why do I even ask myself that question? Why do I even say that? You are prepared to do anything for that woman, aren't you? My god, you broke into Nick's computer. You wrecked his wedding! You stood there in front of guests, humiliated that man by accusing him of having an affair with some woman.

Ridge: He was lying to Brooke.

Stephanie: About a business deal.

Ridge: That doesn't make any difference.

Stephanie: Oh, not to you it doesn't. Obviously, because you were so desperate. Do you have any idea what this does to me? To see you reduced to this? That you want to be a father of Dominick jr.

Ridge: Ridge Jr., Thank you very much.

Stephanie: Oh, my god! You're living in a fantasy world. Why you can't just --

Ridge: Will you just stop telling me what to do! I'm sick of it! I know what's best for me. And that happens to be Brooke, our kids and our family. So we're going to be together, mother, whether you like it or not! Just get used to it!

                        ************************************************************************************

Thorne: This is great. Fighting about Brooke on my wedding day?

Stephanie: Yes, and I'm sorry. But could you just give us a moment alone, please?

Thorne: No, I will not give you a moment alone. This is gonna stop, right here and right now.

Ridge: Hallelujah! Thank you very much, little brother. That's exactly what I was telling her.

Stephanie: He's all yours now.

                        ************************************************************************************

Sally: Darla? Everything's ready. What about you? You ready to start? What's the matter, honey?

Darla: I feel like I snuck onto the set of a movie or something, and any minute, I'm gonna get busted and thrown off the lot.

Sally: Now you listen to me. If there's one person in this world who deserves happiness, it's you, kiddo.

Darla: Really? You really think so?

Sally: You just ask yourself right now. What would Saul say if he saw you behaving like this? Huh? Can't you just hear him?

[ In an old man voice ] "What is this, Darla? What is this? You're Meshugeneh? Azoy! What is all this fussing and making this kind of behavior for these people? Who are they? Those people would be lucky to have ya, huh?" Would be.

Darla: I've been thinking about him a lot today.

Sally: I know, I know. Me, too.

Darla: I always thought that he'd be the one to give me away.

Sally: He's here. He's right beside you. You just remember that. When you're walking down that aisle, you remember him. And you hold your head up high.

Darla: Thank you, Sal.

Sally: No need to thank me, honey. I mean, after all. What else are fairy godmothers good for, anyway? Oh, precious. Oh, my precious girl.

                        **************************************************************************************

C.J.: Man, I am out of touch. I don't know half the people here.

Rick: That's Samantha. A friend of Kristen's, growing up. And I guess that's her family.

C.J.: You don't know 'em either?

Rick: Not as well as I'd like to.

                        ************************************************************************************

Samantha: How are you? You seem a little tense.

Hector: As Jimmy would say, "this isn't my scene."

Samantha: Well, just give it a little time. These are really great people.

Hector: Okay.

                        ********************************************************************************************

Brooke: Is everything okay?

Ridge: It's all taken care of.

                        ************************************************************************************

Sally: Hey, hold it. I want to have a word with you, mister.

Thorne: Sally, we're about to get started.

Sally: Not until we talk.

Thorne: I will do right by Darla, okay? You don't have to worry about that.

Sally: I'm not worried. In a few minutes, Darla is gonna be your wife, but she has always been, and always will be family to me. So, when you marry her, that is gonna make you family, too. Never forget that.

Thorne: I won't. Thank you.

Sally: All right. All right, all right. No, just -- enough of this blubbering around. I think we should get this show on the road. So, go on. Go get her.

Eric: So, are we ready? Hit it, boys.

Thorne: That's our cue, reverend.

                        ******************************************************************************************

Sally: Listen highness, don't think of this as losing a son. Think of it as more like gaining me as a member of the family. Listen, I understand. I know. Maybe you had some other kind of life in mind for your son, but --

Stephanie: No, I'm very happy for Thorne.

Sally: Good. You don't look happy.

Stephanie: Well.

Sally: My sympathies.

Stephanie: Thank you.

Ridge: Mother?

[ Wedding march plays ]

[ Wedding march plays ]

Minister: Dearly beloved, we come together in the presence of god to witness and bless the union of this man and woman in holy matrimony. The joining of husband and wife is intended for their mutual joy, for the comfort and companionship they will offer one another in prosperity and adversity, and for the creation and support of their family. Thorne and Darla have been blessed with a beautiful daughter. Their commitment to each other will be a guide and inspiration to Alexandria, as it inspires us all. Therefore, marriage is not to be entered into lightly, but with solemn reverence, and in accordance to all the purposes for which it was instituted by god. Thorne and Darla have asked me to read a brief passage from a traditional Buddhist marriage ceremony they think describes the foundation of their commitment to each other. "To say the words 'love and compassion' is easy. But to accept that love and compassion are built upon patience and persistence is not easy. Your marriage will be firm and lasting if you remember this." Now, I will ask you to declare your consent. Darla, will you have this man to be your husband, to live together in the covenant of marriage? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, and be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?

Darla: I will.

Minister: And will you, Thorne, have this woman to be your wife, to live together in the covenant of marriage? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, and be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?

Thorne: I will.

Minister: Who stands with this woman to symbolize the traditions and family she comes from?

Sally: We do.

Minister: And who stands with this man to symbolize the traditions and family he comes from?

Eric: His brother and I do.

Minister: This marriage will bring together two family traditions, two systems of roots, in the hope that a new family tree will flourish and grow stronger. Thorne and Darla have prepared their own vows to make to one another. Thorne?

Thorne: Darla, today I meld my life with yours, my heart, my hopes, and all the dreams that I have ever had for us and for our family. I promise that we will grow strong together. We will succeed together. And if there is a time that we ever fail, we will do that together. With courage and dignity. With the patience and the persistence that has brought us to this moment. I promise to be the man that you have waited for. The friend you've always known. The husband you love. And the father to Alexandria, which is so deserving.

Minister: Darla?

Darla: Thorne, today I meld my life with yours, of my heart, and hopes, and all of the dreams I have ever had for us, and for our family. I'm sorry. I'm so happy. Thorne, I love you so much.

Thorne: I love you too, baby.
