Thorne: Thank you, you have no idea how bad I need this.

Stephanie: Is the baby keeping you up?

Thorne: Oh, she's our little night owl, Mother.

Stephanie: Hmm, just like her Daddy.

Thorne: You're enjoying this?

Stephanie: You bet I am. But I will restate my offer. If you and Darla want to go out some night, I'll be more than happy to baby-sit.

Thorne: Go out? You can baby-sit while Darla and I take a nap.

[ Stephanie laughs ]

Stephanie: Okay. So, what did you want to see me about, honey?

Thorne: Um -- I had a talk -- with Dad about you.

Stephanie: Thorne, I know that you'd like us to get back together again. And I appreciate that, but I hurt your Father deeply. And he's not going to be able to forgive me for that.

Thorne: I'm sorry, Mother.

Stephanie: Yeah, I am, too. I should've told him sooner about Ridge, but -- you know, I broke his trust and when you do that you just have to accept the reality that sometimes in life people can't give it to you again.

                        *********************************************************************************

Eric: Beautiful. Completely inspiring.

                        ***********************************************************************************

Bridget: Hi, Mom.

Brooke: Shouldn't you be in class?

Bridget: Not till later. I just thought I would check in.

Brooke: I just saw you last night.

Bridget: Did you have a good time at the party?

Brooke: Jackie and Massimo were very kind.

Bridget: It meant a lot having you there -- especially to Nick.

Brooke: It was a pleasant evening.

Bridget: Everyone was really moved by what you said at dinner.

Brooke: I just wanted to show my appreciation for all the support.

Bridget: And you know, I think Nick's going to be a really good father.

Brooke: I think he will, too.

Bridget: So then, you've noticed it, too? The way he's changed.

Brooke: Well, he is taking this very seriously.

Bridget: Mom, he's taking you very seriously. Look, I know that this is the last thing you want to hear right now, but you can't ignore it. This guy is totally in love with you.

                        ************************************************************************************

Joey: One for the good guy. Put it all in, boys.

Chuck: Nick!

Nick: Hey! Hey!

Joey: Where you been?

Nick: Busy, been very, very busy, boys.

Chuck: Old man runnin' you ragged, hmm?

Nick: You know what they say about all work, no play, my friend.

Joey: And we have a cure for that.

Corky: Tina's in town. She called up some girls, we're gonna party. And you are coming.

Nick: I'm out, I'm out, I'm out. Where's the band?

Chuck: They'll be back in a minute.

Corky: We're not good enough for you anymore?

Nick: Actually, I wrote a little song I'm gonna sing with the house band tonight.

Corky: You're passing up a party to go play rock star?

Joey: Come on, at least let us buy you a drink.

Nick: No booze.

Corky: Huh? Since when does Nick Payne turn down a drink?

Nick: Since I got responsibilities.

Corky: Never stopped you before.

Nick: Things are a little different now.

Corky: Oh, yeah? How?

Nick: I'm gonna be a dad.

[ Joey groans ]

Chuck: You're having a kid?

Corky: What? Are you -- oh, man, congrats!

Nick: Look, I'll fill you in when we got more time, so go find Tanya.

Corky: It's Tina.

Nick: Whatever.

Joey: Yeah, he's right, we gotta get going.

Nick: We'll catch up later, okay?

Corky: Are you sure now?

Nick: Yeah.

Joey: More for us.

Nick: Have fun.

Joey: I'll see ya, Chuck. Hey, Cork, where's that 20 you owe me?

                        ******************************************************************************

[ Knock on door ]

Eric: Come in.

Stephanie: Megan said you wanted to see me?

Eric: Yeah.

Stephanie: So?

Eric: Unbelievable.

Stephanie: Something wrong?

Eric: No. Nothing's wrong.

Stephanie: Then what is it?

Eric: Damn you, Stephanie Forrester.

                        *************************************************************************************

Bridget: You can't tell me you don't see it.

Brooke: Nick's been very sweet.

Bridget: Sweet? Mom, Nick has been incredible. He's been supportive. He's been understanding --

Brooke: And I appreciate that. I'm very grateful.

Bridget: But your heart's still with Ridge.

Brooke: I've been completely honest about that.

Bridget: So you've discussed it with Nick?

Brooke: I think I've discussed it with everybody.

Bridget: Now you're tired of explaining yourself?

Brooke: No, it's not that. I'm just still trying to figure it out myself.

Bridget: Are you having second thoughts?

Brooke: About ending my marriage with Ridge? Yes, of course I am. But it would be wrong -- to stay with Ridge and raise his brother's child. That would be immoral. And it just wouldn't be fair to anybody.

Bridget: So then all these changes that Nick's been making?

Brooke: He wants to be the kind of Father that our son can depend on.

Bridget: Well, you can't blame him for hoping for something more.

Brooke: I just don't want to hurt him.

Bridget: Well, he's not going to be the only one hurt.

Brooke: Oh, I know. There's Jackie and Massimo -- and they've accepted me into their family. You know what that means to me. But what they want -- I just can't give them. It's not going to happen. And I can't imagine anything that could change that.

Bridget: Well, I think Nick needs to know that.

Brooke: You're right. He does.

Bridget: What, you're going to go now?

Brooke: I just don't want there to be any misconceptions. Nick needs to know where I stand. The sooner the better.

                        ***************************************************************************************

Nick: Hey, there you are.

Musician #1: Sorry, we're running late.

Nick: No, no problem. How we doing tonight, boys?

Musician #2: Good, man. Looking forward to playing the new tune.

Nick: Oh, good, good, thanks. I gotta tell you, I'm feeling a little nervous, so --

Musician #1: Don't worry. If it sounds as good as we rehearse the other day, you're set.

Nick: Oh, good. I played around with the melody, too, a little bit. Just so you know.

Musician #1: No problem. We'll follow you.

Nick: As long as we do it justice.

                        ************************************************************************************

Sally: How's it going, Thorne?

Thorne: Hey, Sal. I just sent Darla and Alexandria up to see you.

Sally: I know, I dropped them at day care.

Thorne: Darla should be at home taking a nap.

Sally: Darla's fine. I don't know about you, though. You look like you could use a nap.

Thorne: Yeah, well, don't tempt me.

Sally: Hey, what is the point of being the boss' son if you can't take time off when you need it, huh?

Thorne: Trust me, Sally, some times being a Forrester is not all it's cracked up to be.

Sally: Oh, trouble in paradise?

Thorne: It's my parents. I thought they were getting along better, but they're not. Ya know, I'm a grown man. This shouldn't be so important to me.

Sally: Of course it should. No matter how old you get, every child wants to see his parents together.

Thorne: Well, that's something Alexandria will never have to worry about.

Sally: She's a very lucky little girl.

Thorne: Yeah, I just wish she could spread some of that luck around.

Sally: Well, it's like I've said before, Thorne -- babies do have a way of uniting people.

Thorne: Well, I think it's going to take a lot more than that to get through to my father.

Sally: You've talked to him?

Thorne: I've talked to both of them, Sally.

Sally: No luck?

Thorne: Ya know, I just -- I can't believe that there's nothing left. I mean, after everything that they have been through. All the battles they've fought. All the accomplishments. This company. Their family. Ya know, it's gonna be a tragedy if they can't find their way back to each other. I just, I -- I mean, why can't they see that?

                        *************************************************************************************

Stephanie: Excuse me?

Eric: You heard me.

Stephanie: Oh, it's the collection?

Eric: Collection is done. I've been up all night sketching like a mad man.

Stephanie: Well, that's wonderful.

Eric: For weeks Iíve been struggling, but searching for my inspiration.

Stephanie: You've been blocked before.

Eric: Ah, never like this.

Stephanie: Yes, you always get through it.

Eric: You know why this was so hard? Because of what you did to me. Massimo. Losing Ridge.

Stephanie: Eric, you'll always be his Father. He loves you.

Eric: And I love him. I'd love to work with him again. Here in this building. I'd like to see this building -- filled up again with Forresters. With Ridge and Thorne and -- Kristen, Felicia. Our children. This is their legacy.

Stephanie: And you're restoring that legacy for them. I know this has been a very difficult year for you. You're still angry with me, and I understand.

Eric: You do? Well, I don't. I don't understand this at all. I had no idea that you could affect me so deeply. That you could have this enormous an effect on me. For weeks I've been in here. I've been staring at empty sketch pads -- searching for my inspiration. Trying to come up with something to spark my passion -- my muse.

Stephanie: And you found her.

Eric: Yes, I did. Would you like to know how? Would you?!

Stephanie: Of course.

Eric: Here. And here.

                        *******************************************************************************************

Brooke: Nick? "At Chuck's." What are you doing in a bar at this hour?

Nick: Remember, we really wanna drive it to the Bridge into the sax solo, right?

Guitar player: Hey man, this is a great chorus.

Nick: Aw, thanks, Ricky.

Guitar player: Great lyrics, Nick.

Nick: Thanks. Just trying to tell a little story from the heart, boys. Hey! How are you?

                        *******************************************************************************************

Stephanie: Well, this is my face.

Eric: Yes, it's you. You're wearing some of the most inspired designs I've ever created. You inspire me, Stephanie. You always have. You always will.

Stephanie: I don't know what to say. I mean, you seemed so angry --

Eric: I'm in shock.

Stephanie: I imagine you are.

Eric: You are the most cunning, infuriating woman I have ever known, and yet you inspire me in a way that no one else ever could.

Stephanie: I feel as though I should apologize.

Eric: No. No.

Stephanie: I know how much I've hurt you.

Eric: Oh, yeah -- and I've had a very hard time getting over it. But then I do something like this and I realize how much I need you. I want to rebuild this company. I wanna put our family back together, of course, yes -- but more than anything else, at the end of the day I want to come home to you.

                        ***************************************************************************************

Clarke: Hello, beautiful. Is your mother around?

Bridget: No, she just left.

Clarke: Waiting here for her?

Bridget: No, I was just thinking, actually.

Clarke: How is your mother doing? Is she okay?

Bridget: Yeah, she's trying to stay strong. You know, she doesn't want to hurt anyone.

Clarke: That's very noble of her.

Bridget: Yes, it is. But I just wonder, ya know, does it have to this hard? I mean, I can't even believe I'm going to say this, because the way she's feeling she's never gonna go there. But Nick is a really nice guy, and he cares a lot about her.

Clarke: You're right, she's never gonna go there.

Bridget: Yeah, but if she did -- if she could just open up her heart to him, I think that they could be happy.

Clarke: You must see something your mother doesn't.

Bridget: Ya know, I think she just needs to hear it, Clarke. I mean, if there's any chance for them to be together, Nick has to open himself up to her. He has to tell her how he really feels.

                        ******************************************************************************

Nick: You boys ready?

Drummer: Yeah, we're behind you all the way.

Nick: Give it a shot.

Open up your eyes tell me what you see

is there a place for me inside of you

can we both forgive try to just forget forget the past and let today begin

I'm going back again I'll take it to the end

remember where we've been and where we have to go take a look around

look at what we've found and know that we can be

what we want to be I'm going back again

every other day I think of what to say

but the words the words are just a part of it

I run into a wall and then I see it all

and I dance alone and think of you

I'm going back again I'll take it to the end

remember where we've been and where we have to go take a look around

look at what we've found and know that we can be

what we want to be I'm going back again

I see the story in your eyes and we can never say good-bye

I want to show you won't you show me come on show me
