Chip: What are you doing at my terminal?

Sally: It was making a funny noise.

 Chip: I don't hear anything.

Sally: Well, maybe that's because I fixed it. Okay, genius?

Chip: No, no, I just logged off. It was fine-- what is this?

 Sally: What?

Chip: This is confidential. How did you get in this database?

                        **************************************************************************************

 Bridget: What is that?

Deacon: Well, I was kinda hoping you were gonna think it's the most beautiful diamond you've ever seen, 'cause it's yours. Come here.

 Bridget: Deacon --

 Deacon: It's beautiful.

Bridget: Please, I came here to tell you something.

Deacon: Please tell me that it's yes. Make me the happiest man on the face of the earth. Tell me -- you'll be my wife.

 Bridget: I wasn't expecting this.

Deacon: I know, I know, me either. Bridget, when Macy died -- when Macy died, I didn't think I'd ever be happy again. Losing her just about crushed me, and then you came back into my life. And you saw me, not for the guy that I used to be, but for the man that I've become.

Bridget: Yes, I did, but other people are gonna see that, too.

Deacon: This isn't about "other people." This is about us. Bridget, this time, I'm gonna do it right. This time, I'm gonna be the man that you deserve.

Bridget: Deacon, this just can't be happening. It just can't.

                        ********************************************************************************

 Brooke: All ready.

Ridge: Come on, you love surprises.

Brooke: You're certainly milking this one.

 Ridge: So? I'm almost done.

Brooke: Ah, should I start the drum roll?

Ridge: Yes, start your drum roll and then just open your eyes and come here.

Brooke: Okay. Wow -- it's good.

Ridge: Check it out. It a new bedspread. Do you like it?

 Brooke: It's blueprints. For me?

 Ridge: Yeah. For our baby.

 Brooke: Oh, for the nursery.

 Ridge: Samantha Kelly originals, too.

Brooke: Oh, I love it. This is wonderful.

Ridge: It better be. She's been working on it non-stop.

 Brooke: Non-stop?

Ridge: Non-stop. Just like my devotion for you.

[Phone ringing] Let the machine get it.

 Brooke: We can't.

Ridge: Let the machine get it.

 Brooke: Hello?

Dr. Paxson: It's Dr. Paxson. I just talked to the lab.

 Brooke: The test is finished?

Dr. Paxson: We should have the results sometime before the end of the day.

Brooke: Oh, okay. Ah, well, we're here. So, just call us when they come in. Thanks doctor. That was Dr. Paxson. The results will be in tonight.

                        ***********************************************************************************

Chip: You can't look at this stuff.

Sally: It was on the screen when I sat down.

 Chip: No, it wasn't.

Sally: Why don't you go get yourself another doughnut and let me get back to work, huh?

 Chip: Who's your supervisor?

Sally: Who's yours, huh? I am sure your supervisor would be very interested to know how you are holding me up here.

Chip: You are definitely not I.T.

Sally: That's it, that's it, I have had it with you. I do not intend to put up with this. I am going to go and see your supervisor myself!

Chip: Hey, hey, hey -- don't move! I'm calling security. Hey -- stop!

                        ****************************************************************************************

Deacon: Look, I know it's a complete understatement, to say that your dad's pretty tense right now.

Bridget: That's not what the problem is.

Deacon: I know, I know, but I want you to understand something. I'm gonna make this right by your family. I know it's gonna be an uphill battle, but I'm ready for the challenge, as long as I know I've got you by my side.

Bridget: You have my support, you know that.

Deacon: But do I have your love? Bridget, will you marry me?

 Bridget: Deacon --

 Amy: Mr. Sharpe, it's time.

Deacon: Ah, just give me a minute, okay?

Amy: Your surgeon's waiting in the O.R. Bridget, you'll have to wait outside.

 Deacon: Not yet.

Bridget: No, no, it's okay. I'm gonna be here when you get back, okay? I promise.

Amy: You could wait, but he'll be in surgery and then recovery -- it could be hours.

Bridget: Okay, just call me when he gets out.

Amy: Sure. Now get out of here. Go see that hunky boyfriend of yours.

                        ***************************************************************************

[Phone buzzes]

Stephanie: Hello. What -- oh, all right, Sally. Okay.

Sally: I'm sorry to bust in on you like this, but I had to see you.

Stephanie: Why should today be different than any other day?

Sally: No, no, listen to me, please, please. I had to see you face to face to tell you that at least, I tried. You see, I had the solution to all of your family's problems, and a couple of side issues of my own, right here in the palm of my hand. I had the solution and I couldn't pull it off.

Stephanie: What are you talking about?

Sally: I am talking about the antidote to that poison that has been infecting your family. I saw it. I saw it all. It was right in front of my face.

 Stephanie: You're talking about Brooke.

Sally: Oh, yes. If that woman were not a genuine menace to society, I would swear she had divine intervention on her side.

Stephanie: Sally, she's my daughter-in-law. I have given my son my word of honor. I am not going to interfere in their marriage.

Sally: That's what I'm trying to tell you. You didn't! And, unfortunately, neither did I.

                        ******************************************************************************

Ridge: So, the results are in soon?

Brooke: Dr. Paxson will have them tonight.

Ridge: Whoo, so this is it?

Brooke: I guess we'll know by the end of the day.

Ridge: I should call Sammy and have her hold off on this for a little bit, then.

 Brooke: Why?

Ridge: Well, no point in making any decision until we know for sure.

 Brooke: I thought we were.

Ridge: Well, this is kind of an expensive project. So, it would be smarter to wait.

Brooke: All right, if that's how you feel.

Ridge: You don't feel that way?

Brooke: No! I don't. In fact, I'm kind of surprised that you do.

Ridge: Well, I mean, we could just go with yellow, then.

 Brooke: Yellow?

Ridge: Or green. Green would work for a boy or a girl.

 Brooke: Colors?

Ridge: Yeah, you know. Get this nursery going. I mean, it could wait. Or if you want to make a decision now about the color, I'm fine with that too.

Brooke: No, no, we can wait.

 Ridge: What's going on?

Brooke: Ah, just -- I don't know. When you said -- oh, nevermind.

Ridge: Logan, this baby is ours. You're not having any doubts, are you?

 Brooke: No. No.

Ridge: I know this is intense right now. With these results -- finding out the baby's health. Gender. Confirming the paternity and all, you know. It's only natural to be kinda nervous about it all, but it's gonna be all right. And after today, this is all gonna be behind us. Right? Right?

 Brooke: Right.

 Ridge: Right.

 Brooke: Right.

                        *****************************************************************************************

 Oscar: Hey, how's Deacon?

Bridget: They took Deacon into surgery.

Oscar: So how'd he take it? You told him about our engagement, right?

Bridget: Ozzy, I haven't even told my parents yet.

Oscar: Yeah, but you wanted to tell him first. That's all right, I talked to Samantha. Want to let the guy down easy, it's cool.

Bridget: I just -- I didn't want him to hear it from somebody else.

Oscar: Must've hit him pretty hard, huh?

Bridget: It was definitely a shock.

Oscar: But, you had to do it.

Bridget: You know, I worked it all out in my head. On my way to the hospital I -- I had my whole speech planed. I was gonna be completely straightforward. No beating around the bush. And then -- I couldn't do it.

 Oscar: What do you mean?

Bridget: I wanted to tell him. I tried too, and then Amy came in --

Oscar: Didn't he notice the ring? That you -- don't have on your finger. Where is it?

Bridget: Oh no, honey, I didn't want it slip off. I was going to stop by the jewelers on my way back from the hospital to get it sized, so --

Oscar: Whoa, whoa, whoa, what's this? This ain't the ring I gave you. Did you have it exchanged?

 Bridget: No.

Oscar: 'Cause if you don't like it --

Bridget: No, I love it. Are you kidding me? I love it, so much. Here, it's right here. Here.

Oscar: Right, so, where'd you get the other ring?

 Bridget: Deacon. He proposed.

                        ********************************************************************************************

Sally: I failed. I failed miserably.

Stephanie: Well, don't tell me how.

Sally: Believe me, I won't. I'd be too embarrassed. Let's just say, that I was about as successful pulling this little caper off as I was when I gave you a haircut.

Stephanie: Don't go there. Enough is enough.

Sally: That's the point. It wasn't enough. It wasn't enough to save your son and get him out of Brooke's clutches. And all the time I was trying to pull it off, I could see it in your face, if I had been successful, how wonderful it would have been. I would have given you some -- relief.

Stephanie: Sally, Sally, you don't have to do that.

 Sally: Of course I do. I can't take care of myself. I can't --

Stephanie: Sally, did I not tell you to leave Brooke alone?

Sally: No. No you didn't actually. You told me that you didn't want to see your family name splattered all over the tabloid press. But don't you see, it wouldn't have been. This would have been a completely confidential operation. Nobody would have suspected a thing.

Stephanie: Nothing suspicious? Just the mysterious destruction of their marriage?

Sally: Self-destruction. No one would have asked any questions about that. That is the beauty of my plan.

 Stephanie: Apparently not.

Sally: But that wasn't my fault. Don't you see? Everything was working like clockwork. And then. All of the sudden, boom!

Stephanie: Sally, I don't want you to tell me what you did.

Sally: That's what I have been trying to tell you. I didn't do anything.

                        ********************************************************************************

 Ridge: You okay?

Brooke: Yeah, I'm wonderful. I am.

Ridge: Okay, come on, let's pick a color.

Brooke: Why don't we leave that up to Sam? I'd rather pick a name.

 Ridge: A name?

 Brooke: Too soon?

Ridge: Somebody's excited about getting this done before the test results, huh?

Brooke: Well, at least we'll have the pronoun narrowed down.

Ridge: Yeah. Okay, let's see -- our little baby -- he or she Forrester. Hmm.

Brooke: Hmm. How about Ridge jr.?

 Ridge: Hmm.

 Brooke: Hmm?

Ridge: Wouldn't she get teased in school, though?

 Brooke: Ha, ha.

Ridge: A little brother for Thomas.

Brooke: You know he wants one.

Ridge: Poor guy's certainly been surrounded by women for a long time, hasn't he?

Brooke: And he better get used to it. After all, he is your son.

Ridge: Which, in itself, is quite the burden, I must say. But he's gonna have to get used to it, isn't he? As will little Ridge Jr. So, let's see -- well, if he's going to inherit my charm and my, sort of, suave, sophisticated good looks, then maybe he should inherit my name, too.

 Brooke: Oh, absolutely.

 Ridge: Yeah. I would say.

                        **********************************************************************************

 Oscar: Deacon proposed?

 Bridget: I couldn't believe it.

Oscar: Yeah, neither can I. I mean, the guy asks you to marry him and you don't say, "Hey, you know what, I'm sorry, I'm already engaged."

Bridget: Ozzy, I tried to tell him.

Oscar: You tried, but apparently not hard enough. I mean, talk about perfect moments, right?

Bridget: It wasn't a perfect moment. It was terrible. I mean, he was so excited, he kept talking about his the surgery and his plans for the future.

Oscar: Future, with you. You get that, right?

Bridget: I didn't know he was going to propose.

Oscar: Well, I could have told you this was gonna happen. I mean, he's confused. All the extra time you've been spending with him.

Bridget: I was being a friend.

Oscar: Well, that ain't no friendship ring.

Bridget: I'm going to give it back to him.

Oscar: I'm a little confused about why you took it in the first place. I mean, did you say yes, too?

 Bridget: No!

Oscar: But you didn't say no.

Bridget: I didn't have a chance to say anything. They came in to take him to surgery.

Oscar: You could've left it there.

Bridget: I was just gonna leave it there on the table where anyone could take it?

Oscar: Oh, you're right, it is pretty nice. Maybe you should keep that one instead of mine.

Bridget: Okay, no. Stop, stop. Don't do this, okay? I'm gonna bring it back to him after surgery. I promise. Okay?

Oscar: Yeah, sure. If that's what you wanna do.

Bridget: It is what I wanna do. It's what I wanted to do today, but it was just too hard. Come on, Ozzy, between the surgery, and the proposal --

Oscar: All right, all right. Look, I get this. You feel responsible, 'cause your dad shot him, and I do, I get that. But if there's anything else going on here --

 Bridget: What? Like what?

Oscar: Well, you used to be married to the guy, so if you got some unfinished business, I just want to know that --

Bridget: No. No. You are what I want. You're what I want.

                        ********************************************************************************

Stephanie: Sally, I do not want you causing trouble for Ridge and Brooke. My son is beside himself with anxiety waiting for the results of this paternity test.

Sally: Well, he isn't the only one. Or he shouldn't be. You have a stake in this too, highness. I mean, you are facing the possibility of hard time. A life sentence with Brooke, without the possibility of parole. Face it. Your future is hanging on those test results, too.

                        *********************************************************************************

Brooke: I'd love having a girl, too.

 Ridge: Ridgina? Ridgella?

 Brooke: Ridgina, Ridgella?

Ridge: Okay. You pick one. You pick a girl's name.

Brooke: No. No, girl's name is up to you. As long as it's not those two.

Ridge: Okay. Actually, I have thought about this.

 Brooke: You have?

Ridge: Yeah. I wanted the little girl's name to be as significant to us as she is. Kind of a reminder of where we've come from.

 Brooke: I do, too.

Ridge: How would you feel about the name Patience?

 Brooke: Patience?

Ridge: I know it's kind of old fashioned.

 Brooke: It's pretty.

Ridge: Strong. Patience isn't just about waiting, either. It takes incredible faith and courage. Kind of a belief that things will get better, even if you can't see it yet.

 Brooke: That's beautiful.

Ridge: That is what's brought us here.

[Phone ringing]

 Brooke: Hello/

Dr. Paxson: Brooke, it's Dr. Paxson again.

 Brooke: You have the results?

Dr. Paxson: The lab just called. They've been messengered to my office.

Brooke: What else did they say?

Dr. Paxson: All tests were conclusive.

Brooke: Conclusive? What does that mean? Did they confirm it? Ridge is the father?
