Ridge: There's something you have to tell me? Something you've done that you're not proud of. I don't really understand. Sweetheart? What are you talking about?

                        ****************************************************************************************

Sally: Whoa, whoa! Stop the car, boys. If there's gonna be a celebration, you can't have it without me. Oh, bartender, darling, honey -- bring me one of these and don't be stingy, baby.

Man #1: Let me guess, it's your birthday. You turned 40 -- again?

[Sally laughs]

Sally: Actually, I haven't had a birthday since I turned 35, smart guy. And if you weren't so cute and so adorable, I might have to take one of you over my knee and give you a spanking.

Man #2: Kinky. I like that.

Sally: Oh! You know what? I like something even better than kinky. And that is the sweet taste of victory. I'm celebrating because I finally got my family business back. So let's drink to that, huh?

Man #2: Sounds good.

[Clinking of glasses]

Sally: Mm, mm. You hear that? You hear that music? I don't think there's anything better to celebrate a victory than a victory dance. Bartender, crank up the music and lend me your sombrero. Thank you very much.

[Playing "the mexican hat dance"]

[clapping]

Sally: Ole! Hey!

[Applause] you see? I come bearing margaritas.

[Jackie scoffs]

Jackie: What is this, an apology for your appalling behavior at my wedding?

Sally: No. No. This is a thank you. Because I'm going to be getting my company back thanks to your son.

Jackie: Nicky? Why would you be thanking Nicky?

Sally: Oh, please. As if you didn't know. Well, never mind. I personally want to thank you for raising such an irresistibly handsome son. You see, it would take a man like that to turn Brooke Logan's head. Particularly, when she was in a period of deep mourning. Hmm? You know, actually, just between us, I find it a little strange, you know? A little bit kinky. I mean, I've certainly heard of sex in the morning, but sex while you're in mourning? Oh, my dear. What is the world coming to?

                        ********************************************************************************************

Nick: So what did you and your mother talk about?

Bridget: About that night at the foundry. The way you comforted her?

Nick: You're hurting for your mother. I understand that.

Bridget: Oh, I'll tell you what I don't understand. What the hell you were thinking that night.

Nick: I was -- worried about her.

Bridget: Yeah, yeah. Because she thought she lost the only man she'd ever truly loved. Which, thank god, turned out not to be true. But you know what, Nick? That could be happening right now. She could be losing Ridge all over again, and your hands aren't exactly clean, are they?              *****************************************************************************************************

Ridge: Sweetheart, you gotta know you could never let me down. All right? Not after everything we've been through. It's not possible. Okay, look, whatever's on your mind, we'll deal with it, okay? We'll deal with it. But not tonight. Not tonight. Tonight, I just want to -- wanna be with you. Just be alone with you and have some dinner and maybe a little dancing -- a little dancing and all. Be with my beautiful, beautiful wife. Pamper my beautiful wife! And the mother of my baby. Let's do that, okay? It's gonna be okay. It's gonna be all right. Everything is gonna be all right. All right.

******************************************************************************************************

Bridget: Why did you go into the foundry that night? Nick, she didn't need you! She needed to be by herself! She needed to find a way to let her husband go.

Nick: I was afraid of what she might do.

Bridget: Oh, oh -- so you just couldn't resist rushing to her rescue, huh? Only that's not all you did.

Nick: You listen, young lady! You've got some thoughts that aren't right.

Bridget: Well, I don't know what to think.

Nick: Well, then listen up! 'Cause Ii'll set you straight on a few things.

                        ********************************************************************************************************

Jackie: I have no idea what you're talking about.

Sally: Oh, really? Why don't you try selling that to somebody else? I am definitely not buying.

Jackie: You know, you're drunk. And I'm leaving.

Sally: You know I'm not drunk. And if you're smart, you're not leaving.

Jackie: Please, take your hand off me.

Sally: Ooh! Certainly, Madame. So sorry. But you know, if I were you, I would get off my high horse and listen. What I know about your sailor boy son's secret could blow him right out of the water. If I choose to use it.  Now, I certainly don't want to do that. Particularly in view of the fact that I wouldn't be getting my company back if it were not for that little torpedo that your son launched in Brooke's direction.

Jackie: Where did you hear that?

Sally: A little birdie told me. The stork that will soon be delivering a package to Brooke with a great big question mark on it. Now, you needn't worry about this if Brooke is a sensible woman and agrees to sign my company back over to me. In that case, her little indiscretion with your son will remain locked in the vault.

Jackie: Finished?

Sally: Mm-hmm, I am. Though I really must say that those Marone brothers are quite a fascinating pair, aren't they? And, of course, the prospective mommy dearest-to-be can rest easily knowing that her offspring will be a genuine Marone heir, whichever brother dear old dad turns out to be. Cheers, honey.

                        ***********************************************************************************************************************

Ridge: Okay, okay. I think I know what's going on here. I know why you're being this way. It's the baby, isn't it? Pregnant women are always getting so emotional. You've got these hormones just flowing through you like crazy. I know, that's what it is. Well, this would be the time to give you something. I think I know what it is, and I just happen to have something to give you, so here we go.

[Brooke sighs]

Brooke: What're you doing?

Ridge: Just pampering the mother-to-be, that's all. I figure, if you're gonna get all emotional on me, might as well be over this. Go ahead, check it out.

[Brooke gasps] designed it myself -- for our little boy or little girl. The "M" thing there -- I just wanted to start a little Marone tradition, I guess. You know, kind of in the flavor of the Forrester christening gown. So, what do you think?

Brooke: It's perfect.

Ridge: Hmm. You think Nick will use it when he has kids? Or do you know something I don't?

                        ************************************************************************************************

Bridget: I don't need you to "set me straight" about anything. I know what happened, Nick. You went to the foundry, my mother was there, she was beside herself with grief --

Nick: I thought your mother was gonna kill herself! I didn't know what to do. She was -- she was beside herself. Hurt. I've never seen her in such pain before.

Bridget: Or more vulnerable?

Nick: All right! My dead brother's wife, there for the taking at last, right? How can I pass that up?

Bridget: Nick --

Nick: But that's the image that's in your mind, isn't it? That's what you're thinking. The sea captain taking advantage of the defenseless widow.

Bridget: I never said that! I know you care about my mother, but --

Nick: But what? Say it! If you care about her, how do you let things go so far? Is that what you want to ask me?

Bridget: Why don't you help me understand, because I don't understand! She was upset, you were upset, you tried to console her? I mean, what -- ?

Nick: I don't understand, either. I I don't know what happened. And worst of all, your mother doesn't understand. And I know you love her, and I'm sorry. I -- I never meant for your mother to go through anything like this.

Bridget: It's too little, too late, Nick.

Nick: Yes, it is. And the thought of what she's going through -- having to tell Forrester what she has to tell him. Knowing she's going to destroy that relationship maybe and everything she's dreamed of in her life -- because of me. She's in this position because of me. It's my fault. This whole damn thing is my fault! And I'd do anything I could to change it.

Bridget: You really love her.

                        *************************************************************************************************

Jackie: Nicky! Nicky, are you -- oh, thank God you're here.

Nick: What's the matter?

Jackie: I've just seen Sally Spectra and somehow that woman, she knows about you and Brooke.

Bridget: What?

Jackie: Bridget. I didn't know you were here.

Nick: It's all right. She knows everything.

Bridget: Oh, I don't know anything about Sally Spectra. What does she have to do with this?
