Hudson: Can I get you anything, madam?

Jackie: Oh, Hudson, I'd forgotten you were here.

[Nick imitating Hudson]

Nick: "Would you care for a cup of tea, mother?" I suggest you get used to being pampered, young lady.

Jackie: Actually, a cup of tea would be very nice, thank you.

Hudson: Very good, madam.

Jackie: Oh, Hudson, do you -- do you know where Mr. Marone is, please?

Hudson: In his study, partaking of a cigar and cognac.

Jackie: Oh, good. Oh, Hudson, where is the study exactly? Thank you.

Jackie: Did you talk to Brooke?

[Nick imitating Hudson]

Nick: "Drop it, mother."

Jackie: You know me better than that.

Nick: I talked to her.

Jackie: And what did she say? Is the baby she's carrying yours?

Nick: She's not sure.

Jackie: What's she going to do?

Nick: She's doing it. She is currently telling Forrester that we slept together.

Ridge: Tell me, what did I do to deserve all this? Huh?

[Brooke sighs] oh, our family united -- you -- our new little baby.

Brooke: If anybody deserves to be happy, it's you, Ridge.

Ridge: And so do you, Logan. So do you. And we're going to be. It's like Massimo said -- we're a family now. There's nothing we can't handle.

Brooke: You really believe that?

Ridge: Absolutely. There's nothing can hurt us now.

Brooke: I'm glad to hear you say that. Because there's -- there's something I have to tell you.

Amber: You are such a liar. All that stuff about having your eye on some hot, new designer -- that was just a trick to get me to take the job.

Deacon: Worked, didn't it?

Amber: Yeah. Yeah. So what now, huh?

Deacon: Well, I think the first thing we ought to do is round out the rest of the team. We gotta find somebody who's gonna be able to promote us.

Amber: Deacon -- I have absolutely the perfect person for the job.

Deacon: Who?

Amber: Ozzy.

Deacon: Are you -- are you outta your mind?

Amber: Oh, Deacon -- Deacon, wait, okay? You can't keep blaming him for what happened to Macy.

Deacon: Why not?

Amber: Because it wasn't his fault. Okay? He got mixed up with the wrong people, and he was trying to get out of it. You should be able to relate to this.

Deacon: What -- what exactly is it that you see in this guy? Please, help me understand.

Amber: He makes me feel good. You know? I don't know. He doesn't try to change me or fix me in any way.

Deacon: Oh, no, God, I recognize the signs! You got it bad, don't you? For Ozzy. Ugh!

Amber: I just -- I just wanna keep feeling this way, okay? Is there anything wrong with that? Besides, there's something in it for you, too.

Deacon: Oh, yeah? What -- what would that be?

Amber: If Ozzy's working with me, then he won't be with Bridget.

Deacon: Look, you're not gonna be able to keep the guy busy 24/7.

Amber: Wanna bet?

Bridget: You know, I don't think there's anything more beautiful than a wedding.

Ozzy: I don't know. I could think of a few things.

Bridget: Oh, really? Name one.

Ozzy: Well, that's easy. Um -- you.

Bridget: Hmm.

Amber: Come on, deacon. Ozzy working with us is a great idea.

Deacon: You know, I admire your optimism, but somehow I just -- I'm not so sure Bridget's gonna see it that way.

Amber: Yeah, well, we don't see eye-to-eye on much these days. But that's not gonna stop me from getting what I want.

Deacon: Let me guess -- what would that be? Phoney Marone?

Amber: Bingo.

Deacon: Yeah? What about what he wants?

Amber: Well, he wants me. He just doesn't know it yet.

Deacon: Right, 'cause that would explain why he's out with Bridget tonight then, right?

Amber: He's a guy, and Bridget's beautiful.

Deacon: So what a you telling me? What, it's just a physical thing?

Amber: Physical? Bridget hasn't been physical since -- well, since you.

Deacon: Really?

Amber: Mm-hmm.

Deacon: Well, I mean it's -- it's understandable, you know? I'm a tough act to follow.

Amber: Ah, please. She's not holding out on Ozzy because of you. She just doesn't wanna get burned again, which is why she's going to take things nice and slow. Which gives me the opening I need -- if you give me the green light.

Deacon: Yeah, what the hell? Go ahead, knock yourself out, you know.

Amber: Really?

Deacon: Sure.

Amber: Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you. You will not be disappointed.

Deacon: I'm not worried about me. I just hope you're not gonna be disappointed.

Amber: No way. I'm gonna go over there. I'm gonna give Ozzy a new job -- and me. And that will be the end of Ozzy and Bridget.

Bridget: Mm, oh, God. Okay. Ooh, um -- all right, stop. Stop, stop, stop.

Ozzy: What for?

Bridget: Hmm, I need some time. I just -- give me some time.

Ozzy: Oh. Okay. You mean like "time to go slip into something a little more comfortable" kind of time?

Bridget: No. I mean like time to -- to get to know you kind of time. Seriously, Ozzy, I like you. I like you a lot. That's why I want to wait.

Ozzy: Sure you couldn't like me a little less?

Bridget: Okay, to be honest with you, I haven't been intimate with anyone since my ex-husband. So, it's really important for me to do things right this time. You know, I just -- I wanna start at the beginning and work my way to -- you can cut me off at any time.

Ozzy: Wow. Sounds like a long road.

Bridget: It could be. But I promise you, it'll be worth it.

Ozzy: There's not a doubt in my mind about that. I'll call you tomorrow.

Bridget: Okay. Ozzy? I'm sorry.

Ozzy: Here's the thing -- you never have to be sorry about anything. Okay?

Bridget: Okay. Good night.

Ozzy: Yeah. Yeah, it was.

Jackie: Nicky, Brooke is doing the right thing.

Nick: Help me here, mother. How is Brooke telling Forrester that we slept together the right thing?

Jackie: Because you both thought he was dead.

Nick: Oh, well, that should just make everything okay, shouldn't it? Think about it. What's he supposed to say to that? "Oh, it's okay, guys. I understand. You thought I was dead for a couple days. Besides, what's a little sex between in-laws?" I mean, for God's sake, mother.

Jackie: Shh! He has to know the truth.

Nick: We don't even know the truth yet, so what's the point? Why should she ruin her whole life, when she doesn't even know if the child she's carrying is mine?

Jackie: You know, the point is that you cannot build a marriage on lies. I should know, because i tried and look where it got me. Look what it cost you, Nicky. She has to tell ridge the truth, because otherwise, another child could be brought up with a man that isn't his father. Oh, God, Nicky. Nicky, if that baby belongs to you, I --

Nick: It does change things a bit, doesn't it? Doesn't matter. We won't know for months anyway.

Jackie: No, honey, I read about a test, and it can determine the paternity in the first trimester. Oh, my god. Nicky, you could know who the father is in just a few weeks.

Ridge: Does this have anything to do with Nick?

Brooke: Thank you. Why do you ask?

Ridge: Well, after the reception, the two of you seemed kind of intense.

Brooke: We were.

Ridge: Did you have any luck at all trying to convince him to stay in town?

Brooke: I don't know. I don't know what nick's plans are.

Ridge: Well, keep trying with him, will you? He's my brother, and I'd really like to get to know him better.

Brooke: Even though he and I dated?

Ridge: Oh, that's ancient history, Logan. Besides, I can't really blame the guy for falling in love with you.

Brooke: Ridge --

Ridge: No, seriously. That's all over. Nick is changed. I saw it. I saw it in the foundry. He was there for us, Logan, both you and me. He was there in every way for us.

Brooke: You have no idea. When Nick thought you were dead, it was like a piece of him was missing.

Ridge: Well then why is he running away, then? Now that we have the opportunity to really get to know each other as brothers? God, there's so much about him i don't know. I'd like to. Like how did he come to love the ocean? Being at sea? Why hasn't he ever been married? Heck, maybe if he does stick around, we can fix him up with someone. Oh, I'm sorry, Logan. You said you had something you wanted to tell me. What is it?

Ozzy: Coming. Amber. You know what, it's not really a good time--

Amber: Oh, I think my timing is perfect.

Ozzy: I am so not in the mood for this.

Amber: Ohh. I can fix that. I have a proposition for you.

Ozzy: Hmm. Yeah. What a surprise.

Amber: Sally Spectra and deacon are starting a new fashion company. And, just tonight, they hired yours truly as designer.

Ozzy: Well that's good. Congratulations.

Amber: To both of us. 'Cause they want you to be head of promotions. I suggested you for the job, so you can thank me later.

Ozzy: Well gee, you know what? The thing is, I haven't had time yet to thank Massimo for finding a place for me at logan designs.

Amber: Hmm. Well, that's just great then, isn't it, because you're not taking the job.

Ozzy: Oh yeah? Says who?

Amber: Oh, come on! Some suit and tie, corporate, old school versus some cutting-edge, new blood? Something fresh? Come on, it's not even a choice.

Ozzy: Oh, okay. Well, thank you very much for explaining that to me, but you want to explain something else? Why would deacon and sally want me working for them anyway, hmm?

Amber: You're a natural promoter, Ozzy. And they want you. And I want you.

Ozzy: You make it so hard to say no, but you know what?

Amber: I'm trying to make it impossible. Because I like you. And I think that you like me.

Ozzy: You kind of make it hard not to.

Amber: So what's stopping you, huh? The job is sensational. You and I will be amazing together. And all you have to do is say yes.

Ridge: Sweetheart, what is it?

Brooke: I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.

Ridge: For what?

Brooke: Nick --

Ridge: Oh, you don't have to apologize about that. I got what I deserved.

Brooke: No, no, you didn't.

Ridge: I gave the guy an opening. I probably shouldn't have done that. I should have been there for you.

Brooke: But you were. It's always been you. I shouldn't have turned to Nick, not even for a second.

Ridge: It's okay. Don't worry about this. At you and nick shared is in the past. You don't have to beat yourself up over it.

Brooke: I don't know how I could have even looked at anybody else.

Ridge: Well, as long as you're not doing it now, that's all that matters.

Brooke: No, I'm not, but --

Ridge: But nothing. Logan, we have it all now -- our future, our family, our new little baby on the way. I don't want to hear any more talk about you letting me down, okay?

Brooke: But I did. I let you down in the worst way.

Ridge: What are you talking about?

Nick: I gotta go.

Jackie: No, Nicky, Nicky, you're overreacting. Ridge will understand.

Nick: Mother,I slept with the guy's wife. He's not going to understand, and he's not going to forgive it.

Jackie: You don't know that.

Nick: But she shouldn't have to risk this. The woman deserves to be happy.

Jackie: You really love her, don't you?

Nick: Yeah.

Ridge: Brooke, what's going on? You're getting yourself all upset.

Brooke: I need to tell you something.

Ridge: What is it?

Brooke: When I thought you died, something died inside of me. The feeling was indescribable. I couldn't breathe. My heart was literally broken. I just missed you -- and I loved you, and I wanted you back. I had so much pain --

Ridge: Sweetheart, it's been such a perfect night. You really don't --

Brooke: Ridge, please, I have to say this.

Ridge: Okay. What?

Brooke: The foundry -- I've just been haunted by what happened in the foundry -- seeing the flames and watching you fall into them. I just can't get rid of that image. And I've been trying. I want to get rid of it. I wanted to. You know, I was desperate and I was disoriented. I just wanted you back. But I couldn't have you back, because you were dead -- at least I thought you were dead.

Ridge: Logan, I am so sorry. I didn't realize all the residual pain you've been carrying around about all this. Damn Sheila.

Brooke: No, it's not Sheila's fault. It's mine -- it's all mine.

Ridge: No, you just don't know what you're saying, that's all.

Brooke: Yes, I do. That's what Nick and I were talking about at the wedding -- something I did, something we both did.

Ridge: I don't understand.

Brooke: Nick and I -- we did something -- something terrible. It was wrong. It was so wrong. I just hope to god that you can forgive me.
