Nick: Answer my question. Is there any chance that Im the father?

Brooke: Ridge is the father.

Nick: I know you want that to be true and so do I.

Brooke: It is true. This is Ridge's baby. It has to be.

Samantha: Excuse me. Massimo is making a toast. He was looking for you.

Massimo: Ridge. Ridge, Ridge -- Dominick. Come here. Come here. Come here. Where's -- ah, Oscar, you, too. Come on. Come on. Everyone, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce the new and improved Marone family -- my lovely new wife Jacqueline. My sons, Ridge, Dominick. And my cousin's son, Oscar. I -- I can't possibly tell you what this means to me, having you all here like this together. It's -- it's beyond words. Knowing how almost impossible this had seemed. A little less than a year ago, I had visited my father's grave in Portofino and I apologized to him for -- oh, just allowing his proud name and lineage to die with me. I couldn't have ever imagined this moment. Massimo Marone, a happily married man with two grown sons, three beautiful grandchildren and -- oh ho ho ho -- lest we forget, another on the way! Yes, yay! My -- I'm sorry. My father would have been a very proud man, as profoundly proud as I am at this very moment. So, thank you. Buona fortuna al a marones! Salute!

Deacon: Shh. Just let me digest the new look for a second. Wow!

Amber: You like it, don't you?

Deacon: Uh, yeah. Yeah, I do. It takes a little getting used to, but, yeah.

Amber: Yeah, well, I thought so. Okay. So, let me get this straight. You and Sally want to start a company together?

Deacon: No, no. We're gonna start a fashion house. What do you think?

[Amber chuckles]Deacon: this isn't a joke, Amber. We're gonna do this. We're gonna start working on the business plan tomorrow.

Amber: Okay. And what are you gonna do? Go tell Eric Forrester he better watch out, Sally Spectra's back in the saddle.

Deacon: I've heard about this. This is that thing called sarcasm, right? You know, go ahead. Go ahead. Think it's a joke, all right? Sally's got the cash. We're gonna make this happen.

Amber: Okay. Okay, Deacon -- Deacon, let me tell you something.

Deacon: What?

Amber: It takes a hell of a lot more than money to start a business.

Deacon: Oh.

Amber: Okay? It takes time and energy. Energy is the one thing that you and Sally do not have right now.

Massimo: Is it ready?

Hudson: Yes, sir.

Massimo: Ah, good. Everyone. One more thing. One more thing. Jackie? Jackie, please? Yes. Hudson?

[Crowd ooh's]

Jackie: Oh. It's a log. What's it for?

Hudson: This is the most important gift the newlyweds can receive.

Jackie: Oh?

Hudson: The sawing of the log is an Italian wedding tradition. It symbolizes the effort the couple must put into their marriage. They can only succeed by working together.

Massimo: Thank you.

Hudson: Shall we begin, sir?

[Drum roll]

Massimo: Anyway, as Hudson said, this is an ancient tradition, and if we are successful in sawing through this log, our marriage will find great prosperity, good health, and a gaggle of grandchildren. Not that your blessings weren't worth enough, father.

Minister: Every couple needs all the luck they can get.

Massimo: Uh-huh. You ready, darling?

Jackie: Oh, yeah.

Massimo: Go for it, baby.

[Both grunting]

Nick: Brooke?

Brooke: Nick, please. You don't have to worry about this.

Nick: Is the child mine?

Brooke: No.

Nick: You're sure? There's absolutely no way you could have gotten pregnant the night we were together? You're sure?

Stephanie: Come on, you can do it!

Ridge: Come on, keep going! Keep going.

Bridget: You've almost got it.

Oscar: Let's go, let's go! Put your back into it!

[All chanting "go, go, go!"]

Ridge: All right!

[Ridge speaking Italian]

Samantha: Ridge speaks Italian?

Stephanie: Just wait till he has a few more glasses of wine.

Clarke: Those marone boys definitely know how to make una buona festa. Salute!

Bridget: Looks like one of them is missing.

Brooke: I can't have this conversation.

Nick: Wait a second. We're not gonna bury our heads in the sand here. We're talking about a baby.

Brooke: Ridge's baby.

Nick: Well, I hope to God it is. I know how much you two want this. And I want it for you. But the reality is -- is I might have a responsibility here. And I can't ignore that.

Brooke: I can't either.

Nick: Good.

Brooke: I have to tell him.

Nick: What?

Brooke: I have to tell Ridge what happened.

Deacon: What do you want me to say? You're right. Sally's beat. And frankly, so am I.

Amber: Yeah, you are, Deacon. I mean, come on. You just lost your wife. You know? And Sally just lost her daughter.

Deacon: And she lost her company. She lost her friends. This woman, she has no reason to even wake up in the morning. But you know what? That's gonna change. It's gonna change tomorrow.

Amber: Because you have a plan?

Deacon: Because she's gonna have a purpose again.

Amber: Yeah, and what about you?

Deacon: I've got little d. I mean, that's my purpose now.

Amber: Yeah. And this new business?

Deacon: This new business could wind up being his legacy.

Amber: A knock-off shop?

Deacon: No. No. We are gonna go head-to-head with Forrester Creations and Logan Designs.

Amber: Original collections?

Deacon: Yes, original collections. I'm talking about -- way original, all right? They're gonna be hip. They're gonna be -- look, it's gonna be a lot better than the crap the old guard has been spitting out for years.

Amber: Yeah? And where are you gonna find yourself a decent designer that wants to work with a bunch of misfits like you? Hmm?

Amber: Oh, no, no, no, no, no. Hmm-mm. I am out of the fashion business.

Deacon: Did you another job already? That's great. I hadn't heard.

Amber: No. I haven't.  Not yet. Okay? But I will. And I will not be working for you.

Deacon: No, that's -- that's cool. I'm actually -- I'm relieved to hear that, because -- you know, I spoke with this other designer and I was kind of -- I was a little worried about how you'd take it?

Amber: You already talked to someone else?

Deacon: Listen, I told you this was gonna happen fast.

Amber: Well, I mean -- where is he? Where is he? Is he in L.A.? Because if he's not in L.A., If he's in New York, it's probably gonna take him a while to relocate.

Deacon: Yeah, you know. I know, but these New York guys, they got such an edge to them.

Amber: I've got edge!

Deacon: It's not exactly razor-sharp now, is it?

Amber: Oh, I have not been out of the fashion business that long, thank you.

Deacon: Oh, please. Give me a break. Working for Eric Forrester? Making clothes for royalty and diplomats? Kinda dulls you, doesn't it?

Amber: Oh! Oh, you didn't. No, you didn't. My designs are not dull!

Deacon: Hey, listen. This is gonna be completely cutting edge. I'm talking about pushing the envelope here, you know? Doing stuff no one else has got the guts to do.

Amber: Yeah. Yeah, and you know what? That -- that right there -- that is me! I am that. Because I do that all the time.

Deacon: I don't know. You know? I mean, I'm already down the road with this other guy.

Amber: Well, then, tell him that you don't want him.

Deacon: That doesn't sound like a very smart way to start a business, now does it?

Amber: Let me ask you a question -- do you want this business to succeed? Huh? Do you? If you do, then you need me. Because no one out there is gonna be able to deliver my quality and name recognition. If you hire me, I promise I will put your company right on the map.

Massimo: Was it everything you'd hoped it would be?

Jackie: And then some.

Massimo: The house?

Jackie: Oh, perfect.

Massimo: The ceremony?

Jackie: A dream come true.

Ridge: Taking off?

Samantha: Yeah. Gotta get back and take Pucci for a walk.

Ridge: Listen -- about what happened earlier, with Sally letting the cat out of the bag, so to speak --

Samantha: Oh. Not exactly how you wanted everyone to find out?

Ridge: No. No, not really.

Samantha: Well, even with a messenger like Sally, you couldn't spoil that news. Congratulations.

Ridge: Thank you. We're really excited about it. But I just wanted to make sure you were okay based on the conversation the other day.

Samantha: Water under the bridge.

Ridge: Really?

Samantha: Absolutely. Besides, I'm not the one you should be concerned about. You didn't see Nick's face? I think he was a little stunned to find out that he was gonna become an uncle.

Nick: Just what are you going to tell Ridge?

Brooke: Everything.

Nick: I don't think you should do that.

Brooke: Nick, it's my responsibility -- for my husband. For my marriage. Your mother said in her vows that love is about being honest, even when it's hard. And that's what I have to do.

Nick: Oh. Let's just take a minute and think about this.

Brooke: The longer I wait the more he's going to feel betrayed.

Nick: But don't you feel you're getting a little bit ahead of yourself here?

Brooke: I wanted to tell him from the very beginning.

Nick: But the point is, there may be nothing to tell.

Brooke: There is.

Nick: Come on, Brooke. For crying out loud, that's in the past.

Brooke: Well, apparently it's not. And the way you're talking, it probably will never be.

Nick: You really don't know who the father is, do you? Don't you think maybe you should find out before you do this? You love the guy. You've got a family with him. You have a child on the way. And chances are it's probably --

Brooke: The longer I wait, the worse it will be.

Nick: I'm not saying don't ever tell him. Just don't tell him now.

Brooke: Nick, I have to. Ridge has to know.

Ridge: I have to know what?

Nick: Hey. How's that log cutting going, huh?

Ridge: You missed it? What's going on out here?

Deacon: All right. Okay, all right. Twist my arm. I mean, if you want the job that badly, I guess, you know, I can work something out for you.

Amber: Twist your arm? Huh? Oh, man!

Deacon: Listen. We both trained over at Forrester. All right? With our background, with Sally's aggressive business sense, I think we got a shot at making a pretty good team.

Amber: Good? No, no, no. Great.

Deacon: Right now. Right now, all we need to do is be busy.

Amber: Idle hands?

Deacon: Listen -- Sally crashed Massimo's wedding tonight.

Amber: What? Why?

Deacon: Because Brooke was there.

Amber: Like that's a reason?

Deacon: Well, you know, when you're depressed and you're sad like Sally is, it seems like a good one.

Amber: Yeah, you don't have to tell me about that.

Deacon: You know, I mean, she just needs to find somewhere to put her energy. You know, to do something worthwhile. Something Macy would be proud of.

Amber: Gotta make you feel pretty good, too, huh?

Deacon: I don't know when I'm gonna feel good. But I'll tell you something, I feel a lot better right now.

Amber: So do I.

Deacon: I think that everybody deserves a second chance -- you, me, Sally. This is gonna be our comeback.

Amber: Forrester creations and Logan designs -- they're not gonna know what hit them.

Bridget: Jackie, your vows were so beautiful.

Jackie: Thank you.

Bridget: And Massimo's speech -- I got a little teary.

Jackie: So did he.

Oscar: He really loves his family, huh?

Jackie: Yes, he does. And Oscar, we're very, very glad that you are part of it.

Oscar: Me too, Mrs. M.

Jackie: Mrs. M. Well, I like the sound of that.

Bridget: Mrs. M.

Stephanie: Oh, Bridget's leaving?

Eric: Yes, Oscar's driving her home.

Stephanie: I didn't know they were dating.

Eric: I didn't either. I think you guys should get to know this guy a little better.

Stephanie: Well, I wouldn't worry about it. She looks happier than she's been in a long time.

Eric: She does, doesn't she?

Stephanie: Mm-hmm. What was it sally said, um -- Massimo's family has cornered the world market on good news? Well, I don't know, I think the, uh, Forrester family might have, too.

Ridge: You're missing the party, you know.

Nick: Oh. We were just -- talking.

Ridge: I'm guessing our little announcement kind of took you by surprise.

Nick: Yeah.

Ridge: Well, maybe that'll give you a reason to stick around. You been able to talk him into it?

Brooke: Oh, I've been trying.

Ridge: Keep it up. You know, your family needs you.

Nick: Yeah, I suppose they do.

Ridge: The whole Marone clan together for the first time. And now, a new little bambino on the way.

Nick: Sure wouldn't want to miss that.

Ridge: Wouldn't be the same without you. I'm sure you're way more persuasive. Convince him, will you? To come back and drop anchor in L.A.? I'm going to go get the car.

Brooke: I can't do this.

Nick: You have to!

Brooke: I can't. I can't keep this from him.

Nick: Well what are you going to do? To tell him that his little "bambino" might be mine?

Brooke: He's my husband. I'm not going to hide anything from him. He is going to find out everything that happened that night. I just pray that he'll be able to forgive me.
