Brooke: No. No, it can't be. Ridge?

***********************************************************************************

Nick: You okay?

Stephanie: You were here? What happened?

Nick: Stephanie, I --

Stephanie: Nick -- I'd appreciate it if you told me what happened.

Nick: Your son -- he was a hero.

*************************************************************************************

Brooke: Is it you?

Ridge: Had you scared, didn't I?

Brooke: Ridge? Ridge! Oh, my god! It is you! It's really you! I can't believe it's you.

Ridge: Oh, Logan. You are a sight for sore eyes, I'll tell you.

Brooke: How did you --

Ridge: It's a long story, Logan.

Brooke: I don't care. I don't care! You're alive! You're alive!

*************************************************************************************************************

Amber: Stop interfering with my life!

Bridget: You know what, Amber? You can do whatever the hell you want with your life -- as long as it doesn't affect people I care about.

Amber: People like Deacon?

Bridget: You moved in here like some vulture the second Macy got hurt.

Amber: Oh, that's not true! Listen, I'm sorry about what happened to Macy. I really am. But she should have never tried to take my place in Eric's life, because I'm his mother, and I have every right to be here.

Bridget: You're unbelievable. Unbelievable. It's always about you, isn't it? Huh? What you want. What you need.

Amber: What is it with you anyway, huh? Before Macy's accident, you wouldn't give deacon the time of day!

Bridget: I'm not even gonna grace that. The fact is you're out of control, and I know what's going to happen, Amber, because I've seen it before. People get hurt.

Amber: Listen, Bridget. Ozzy, he wants to work with me. And Deacon wants me here. So, why don't you get out! Go on. Go.

Buh-bye. You can't compete with me, anyway.

Deacon: What's -- what's going on here?

Amber: Deacon. I'm glad you're here. Bridget and I, we were just -- getting a few things straight.

Deacon: Yeah, I'm glad you're here, too. We need to talk.

**************************************************************************************************************************

Stephanie: He didn't have to get himself killed to prove to me he that was a hero.

Nick: I don't think that's what he was trying to do.

Stephanie: It didn't really hit me until this morning. Fully. When I woke up, and I realized that he's gone. I'm never gonna see him again.

Nick: I'm sorry. I wish there was something I could say that --

Stephanie: There really isn't anything anyone can ever say.

Nick: Maybe you and Brooke can help each other.

Stephanie: Brooke?

Nick: She doesn't really have anyone to turn to.

Stephanie: What about you?

Nick: No. She needs someone that was connected to Ridge and knew him and loved him just the way she did. You know?

Stephanie: I owe her that much. How stupid and foolish. I have to lose him in order to understand how much she really did love him. And now it's too late.

*****************************************************************************************************************************

Brooke: I can't believe it. You're alive. You're really here. But I saw -- you went in the furnace. How?

Ridge: I really wish that I -- I could tell you.

Brooke: You don't know how you got out of there alive?

Ridge: Only what I've been told.

Brooke: Told? By whom?

Ridge: I'm going to let her tell you.

Brooke: Her?

Ridge: Come on out.

Brooke: Oh, my god. You? ****************************************************************************************************************************

Stephanie: I hurt them deeply. Both of them.

Nick: Stephanie, we all have our regrets.

Stephanie: Some people -- some people could see, could tell that his heart always belonged to Brooke. And hers to him. So when you -- when you speak of regrets -- I'll never be able to tell him that I'm sorry, or that I was wrong. I guess we all wish we could have someone back just for that -- for that one moment when you could -- make it all right again.

**************************************************************************************************************************

Ridge: You remember Anna?

Brooke: Yes. I met her in the bar when I was looking for you. She left a message about Sheila.

Anna: I'm sorry I couldn't tell you more.

Brooke: Oh, my god! Don't be sorry. You saved ridge's life. But, how?

Ridge: For many years, Anna's father worked at the foundry. So she and her brother practically grew up there. That's why that gang that worked for Sheila used them. They felt that the two of them knew pretty much everything there was to know about the place. The ins and outs, the entrances, exits -- and in particular, the escape hatch.

Brooke: So that's how you saved ridge?

Anna: They forced me and Esteban to work for them. And then they killed my brother. I couldn't let them do the same to ridge.

Brooke: But I saw Ridge fall into the furnace. And the sound that those flames make --

Anna: Yes, terrifying. Especially when you're little. But papa made me watch. He wanted me to know what to do if anything ever went wrong.

Ridge: Remind me to thank your father for that.

Brooke: So you were there when Ridge fell?

Anna: I saw everything -- the cauldron. The rope breaking, and Ridge going into the flames.

Brooke: You could've been killed. Why didn't you tell us what you had done?

Anna: I didn't know if Sheila and the others were after Ridge. I took him to a safe place. He hit his head in the fall. He's been unconscious.

Ridge: All I know is that I didn't wake up until today.

Brooke: You are such a courageous woman.

Anna: Where are those men?

Brooke: They're in jail. You don't have to worry about them.

Ridge: What about Sheila?

Brooke: She's gone. Far, far away. I'm sure.

Brooke: How can I ever thank you?

Anna: I'm just glad I was there.

Ridge: So am I. And I promise you, you and your family are never gonna have to worry about anything from now on. Okay?

Anna: Okay.

Ridge: Okay.

Anna: I should go.

Brooke: Wait. Thank you. You didn't just save Ridge's life. You saved mine.

**************************************************************************************************************************

Amber: Maybe you should go, Bridget.

Bridget: Do you want me to go?

Deacon: No. Because you're just going to wind up hearing this anyway.

Amber: Hearing what?

Deacon: Amber, I've been doing a lot of thinking. I just think it's gonna be better for everybody if you move out.

***************************************************************************************************************************

Stephanie: Thank you.

Nick: For what?

Stephanie:  For bringing me here. I know that wasn't easy for you.

Nick: It's not my first time. I found Brooke here yesterday. She was -- she was having a hard time.

Stephanie: Well, I hope you were able to give her some comfort and help her.

Nick: I don't know.

Stephanie: Don't be so hard on yourself, nick. You may not think you're good at helping people. But you are.

Nick: Well, sometimes you try to help. I just hope I didn't make things worse.

Stephanie: I'm sure you didn't. The hardest thing is realizing that you've lost someone you love -- accepting it. And that's what Brooke and I are going through right now, I think.

Nick: I'm so sorry, Stephanie. No one will ever know the pain a mother goes through when you lose a child. I keep going over it and over it and over it in my mind -- if I'd have gone to that cauldron or if the rope would have been tighter or if I'd have had another minute or just even seconds! I don't know --

Stephanie: Nick, Nick, Nick -- don't do this to yourself. Don't do this. All the ifs in the world aren't gonna bring Ridge back. All the ifs in the world aren't gonna bring anybody back. Don't do this.

*****************************************************************************************************************************

Brooke: I want to stay here forever.

Ridge: Me, too.

Brooke: I'm sure there's a few people who'd like to know that you're alive. Like your mother, your father, your brother -- everybody was devastated. I couldn't imagine my life without you. I couldn't breathe. I felt like I was dying. I just wanted you.

Ridge: You have me.

[Bird whistles]

[Brooke laughs]

Ridge: You -- you -- didn't I tell you if you married me there'd be no boring moments whatsoever?

Brooke: I think I've had enough excitement to last me a lifetime.

Ridge: Yeah? So, what, you just want to go back to L.A. And live a quiet, boring life?

Brooke: Yes. That sounds like heaven.

Ridge: Yeah. Heaven. When I was out of it, I was drifting between two different worlds. I felt myself being pulled over to that other side. And I kept thinking, "I don't know what's over there. But whatever it is, it can't be nearly as good as what I have right here." And I had to come back to you, Logan. We weren't finished. All the plans we made for our future, our families -- there's no way I was gonna let go of that.

Brooke: Don't ever let go.
