Rick: You listening, ridge? You understand what you're deciding? A lot more than just the fate of the company.

Ridge: It has a lot more to do with you and me, where we're headed.

Brooke: Yes, it does.

Stephanie: So once more, she's going to lure you into doing the wrong thing?

Ridge: That's not what we're talking about, mother. Brooke just wants to know that I believe in her.

Brooke: Do you?

Ridge: Yes, I do. Probably more than you believe in yourself. So I vote -- nay.

Rick: Nay? Nay gives control to dad.

Ridge: That's right.

Brooke: Nobody who loves me could do this.

Macy: Funny, but by my count, four men who loved you just did.

Brooke: Oh, just get out of here, Macy.

Macy: Congratulations, Eric. Spectra's got some real competition now.

Eric: Thanks, Macy, for your support. Deacon.

Deacon: Come on, mace, let's go.

Stephanie: Thank you, Macy.

Brooke: You bastard.

Ridge: I did this as much for you as for dad.

Brooke: For me?

Rick: Don't try to put a spin on this, Ridge. You did what you've always done, you let her down.

Ridge: Look, this -- this was never gonna work.

Rick: Never gonna work? What are you talking about? We have been hugely successful since she took over.

Stephanie: We were successful before, and we didn't have to -- we didn't have to prostitute ourselves.

Ridge: Oh, mother, come on.

Stephanie: No, it's true. For goodness sakes, think about it. What does she sell? She sells sex.

Rick: All right, Stephanie, that is enough. My god, you have profited immensely off of this collection, okay? And you -- you want to take this away from her? Everything that she has worked for?

Stephanie: I wish I could take away every single moment of embarrassment, every single moment of scandal that your mother has brought on this company. And I would also like to take away all the hurt that she's brought for every member of this family, including you, Rick. But most especially your sister.

Bridget: Don't. Don't use me as justification. I am not looking for revenge, Stephanie.

Stephanie: Neither am I. I'm not. If I could, I would just have your mother --

Brooke: Disappear? That's what you want, Stephanie. That's what you've wanted since the day I met you. You've wanted me to disappear out of your perfect little life so I wouldn't contaminate it. You know what? Your life was never perfect. Your family was falling apart when I met you. You need me. All of you. This company needs me. And you're going to find out just how much when I'm gone.

Stephanie: Well, if that's true, and if we find out that we miss what you offer us, I'm sure we can find it someplace else. There's no shortage of whores in the world.

Macy: Well, that's the end of that.

Deacon: You think so, huh? Let me tell you something -- those idiots, they're gonna be duking this out for generations, and you know why? 'Cause they like it.

Macy: And Brooke will be coming to you, hoping to win you over.

Deacon: Yeah, well, I think I'm done with that.

Ridge: You need to apologize to Brooke right now.

Stephanie: Oh, you think so?

Ridge: Damn it, Mother.

Rick: Oh, Ridge, give me a break. Where do you get off playing the hero now? Nobody's impressed.

Eric: Ridge, go talk to Brooke. Try to get her to understand.

Eric: Rick -- now, we are gonna talk about this. Megan, thank you.

Stephanie: Edward, thank you so much for coming today. I appreciate it.

Edward: You're very welcome, Mrs. Forrester.

Stephanie: We did it.

Thorne: We sure did.

Eric: My god. I still can't take it in.

Thorne: Tell you what. How 'bout I put these in production? Will that make it seem more real?

Eric: It's worth a try. Son -- thank you.

Thorne: You're gonna work my butt off, aren't you?

Eric: You bet I am. Now, go on. You're a clever girl, Stephanie Forrester. Clever girl. Thank you.

Stephanie: You're welcome.

Ridge: Let me explain, Brooke.

Brooke: I don't want to hear it. I don't want to hear another word that comes out of your mouth ever again.

Deacon: Baby, let's just go home, okay? Come on.

Macy: You know, I really want to wait and talk to Stephanie and see what else happened.

Deacon: Well, I can save you the trouble. I can tell you what happened. We opened up a wound and we poured salt all over it.

Macy: And you feel guilty.

Deacon: What do you want me to tell you? I mean, Brooke was right. I used to be the guy that protected her from those lunatics.

Macy: And who protected you? Nobody. Until now. Why don't we go?

Thorne: Macy. Could I speak with you? Just for a minute.

Deacon: Yeah. Listen, I'm gonna -- I'm gonna get the car.

Thorne: That was a pretty incredible thing you just did.

Macy: It was worth it. Your father looked like he got a new lease on life.

Thorne: Yeah. You knew what it would mean to him. You also knew what it would mean to me.

Macy: Thorne -- I don't want you to think that this had anything to do with --

Thorne: What?

Macy: With you and me. Because it didn't. I'm married now, and I do what's best for my family. You don't enter into that.

Thorne: Macy, all I'm trying to say is -- I appreciate it. Really.

Ridge: I had to do it, Logan.

Brooke: Don't call me that. And you didn't have to do it, ridge. You could have stood up to your mother for once. What are you so afraid of?

Ridge: Is that what you think? That I'm afraid? Please.

Brooke: Just leave me alone.

Ridge: I can't. We have too much work to do.

Brooke: Like what? Packing?

Ridge: No. Like starting our new company. I meant it, Brooke, when I said I believed in you. You do not need Forrester to be a success. You could start fresh somewhere else with me.

Brooke: That is such a lame rationalization.

Ridge: It's not a rationalization at all, Brooke. It's the truth.

Brooke: Bull. You caved, Ridge, to your family. You chose them over me again.

Ridge: Why does it always have to be one or the other, huh?

Brooke: Because it does. We can't both run this company.

Ridge: But you can both be successful running different companies.

Brooke: Well, why doesn't he go somewhere else? Why not, Ridge?

Ridge: Because he started this company, Brooke. He started it with nothing.

Brooke: And I stole it from him, right? I tricked him. I took advantage.

Ridge: I didn't say that.

Brooke: Yes, you did. You said that when you took the vote. When you said that one word. That's what you said to everybody in the room. Everybody in the world. That I was an outsider, I was an intruder, that I don't belong. That I don't deserve the things that I have. That I slept my way to the top.

Ridge: Oh, Brooke, come on.

Brooke: You think the same way your mother does, Ridge. And if you think I can live with that, you're wrong.

Bridget: Oh, no, no, no, no. I don't think so.

Deacon: Bridget, please, I don't want to do this with you.

Bridget: Mom didn't deserve this, Deacon. You know she didn't.

Deacon: I'm always gonna have -- I don't want to hurt your mother.

Bridget: You just did. And why, Deacon? Why? Because Macy wanted revenge?

Deacon: Wait a second, wait. That's not it. That's Brooke talking, right? Neither of you even know her. Let me tell you something -- that woman -- that woman has got a fantastic heart, and it's been stepped on a lot. And you know what? She's not even thinking about that. She's thinking about me, and she's thinking about Stephanie, and most importantly, she's thinking about your dad. And she sees Brooke doing stuff to hurt everybody and she just -- she wants it to stop. Guess what? It's stopped.

Stephanie: Forrester is back in your very, very capable hands.

Eric: You did this for me.

Stephanie: You lost a lot this past year. I made mistakes. And some things are gone forever. But when I saw this chance, I took it, because I wanted to give you back what is rightfully yours.

Eric: Ours. It took a lot for Ridge to vote against Brooke.

Stephanie: But he did it. And that's another reason to celebrate.

Ridge: Brooke --

Brooke: Ridge, don't.

Ridge: I don't see you the way mother does. And I don't want her to see you this way either. That's why i did what I did, Brooke. Come on, you've got to know that mother's never gonna get rid of all this resentment she has stored up, not as long as you're running the company.

Brooke: So what?

Ridge: "So what?" Are you saying the way she feels hasn't been a problem for us?

Brooke: Ridge, it wouldn't be if you would just do something --

Ridge: What, do what? Just bury her alive?

Brooke: The answer is to not give in.

Ridge: Right. Let's just keep fighting. Year after year. That's what you've been doing, isn't it? And look where it's gotten you. Look where it's gotten us. I'm talking now about doing something different.

Brooke: But this doesn't feel different. This feels the same. You turning your back on me.

Ridge: Have you been listening to me? That is not what just happened in there. I'm talking about starting fresh, Brooke, starting new.

Brooke: I don't want to start fresh and lose everything that I worked so hard for. I was building something here, Ridge.

Ridge: Yeah, you sure were. You were building a wall. A wall between you and my family, a wall between us.

Brooke: You know, I would have done better to keep this company and lose all of you.

Ridge: You don't believe that.

Brooke: This company's always been here for me.

Ridge: What else has been here for you, Brooke? A lot of bitterness, animosity, rumors, gossip, infighting. You've been surrounded by it so long, you don't even know what it's like to work without it now. Brooke, last year, I broke away from all of that because you forced me out. Was I angry? Did I want to stay and be in charge? You're damn right I did. But in hindsight, my leaving was the best thing that could have happened to me. And it can be the best thing that happens to you, too.

Brooke: You're sugarcoating it, Ridge.

Ridge: No, Brooke, I'm not. I'm telling you what I did was a gift. What I did for you -- for you -- it was a gift.

Eric: I guess we should celebrate at Cafe Russe.

Stephanie: Well, I have to fly to Paris in a few hours.

Eric: Oh, that's right. The press junket.

Stephanie: I'm certainly gonna have a lot to talk about. This is gonna create quite a stir in the media.

Eric: Yes, it will, and we're gonna capitalize on that.

Stephanie: Eric, I just wanted to tell you -- that your whole new line is so -- so cutting edge, it's -- it's just what this company needs.

Eric: I -- I -- I can't tell you the last time I felt this good about my work.

Stephanie: I can -- to the day.

Eric: Well, you'd better get going.

Stephanie: Yeah. I still have to pack.

Eric: Stephanie. Thank you. Call me from Europe. Let me know how it's going.

Stephanie: I will.

Eric: Josh, I need you up here. Yes, right away. There's gonna be some big changes around here.

Brooke: Next, you're going to tell me I'll be thanking you someday.

Ridge: I think you will.

Brooke: Same old Ridge. Still want to have it both ways.

Ridge: Brooke, I promised you that I'd protect you from my mother.

Brooke: This is your idea of protecting me?

Ridge: Yes. Yes, it is. I'm gonna take you away from all the animosity. She's not gonna be able to hurt you again.

Brooke: She'll never hurt me as much as you have, Ridge. You didn't do this for me. You did this for Eric. You did this for the company. For your mother. For your family. And once again, I was second in line. Hey, why not? 'Cause Brooke will always be there. She'll always understand.

Ridge: This is different, Brooke. This is very, very different.

Brooke: You're damn right it is.

Ridge: I'm asking you now to think about it. Just think about it.

Brooke: Just get out of here. Go!

Bridget: And now my mother's the one hurting.

Deacon: Oh, I wouldn't worry about your mom too much. She's kind of like a cat. Always lands on her feet. She'll still rake it in.

Bridget: This wasn't about the money, Deacon. Oh, you think this is funny?

Deacon: No, I don't think this is funny. It's just -- for a long time, I wondered if you two would ever patch things up after everything I trashed. Now look at you. Here you are, rushing to her defense like you always do. How the hell does she do that to us? Just suck us back in?

Macy: You ready?

Deacon: Yeah. Take care of yourself. Let's go.

[Stephanie remembering]

Brooke: You know, I really thought we were getting along, and I really wanted to believe that. And then I found out it was a scam. You tried to trick me. You tried to keep me off guard. Well, now you're going to get what you deserve, Stephanie. I'm going to throw it all back at you with interest.

Stephanie: I'm shaking.

Brooke: Well, you should be. Because I'm going to be right here, all the time, reminding you exactly what goes around comes around. Now, I think you'd better just start packing.

Stephanie: I am not going anyplace.

Brooke: Somebody will be here to help you move.

Stephanie: This is my office, Brooke.

Brooke: No, it isn't, Stephanie, and I want you to get the hell out. Now.

Stephanie: Tony. Knock knock.

Brooke: What are you doing?

Stephanie: Oh, we've come to throw the trash away. Golly gee wiz, Tony. I almost don't know where to begin. How about with ms. Logan?

Brooke: Put me down! Do you hear me?

Stephanie: Good riddance to bad trash, my dear. Oh, you so deserve this can, babe.
