Amber: I thought you said she'd call it off.

Brooke: I can't believe she didn't.

Minister: Friends, family, welcome. We're here today to celebrate a joyous and a blessed union.

Brooke: Yeah, right.

Darla: Hi.

Thorne: Hey. Thought you would've learned your lesson by now.

Darla: What do you mean?

Thorne: Coming over here when I'm upset with Macy.

Darla: She's going through with it, isn't she?

Thorne: Yeah, Darla, she is. And she's going to get hurt all over again. None of this had to happen. None of it.

Deacon: Hey, it's okay. Let's get on with it.

Little Eric: Where did she go?

Macy: Hey. Everything's okay.

Little Eric: Did she have to go to the bathroom?

Macy: I don't think she was feeling very well, but she's gonna be okay.

Deacon: Hey, buddy. How you doing? You okay? Tell you what, gimme a -- gimme a hug. That's right, yeah.

Macy: Aw.

Deacon: Come here. Okay.

Rick: We can leave.

Amber: No. No.

Stephanie: Hi.

Brooke: What are you doing here?

Stephanie: Well, I'm waiting for amber. Marta thought it would be all right. The wedding's over?

Brooke: No.

Stephanie: No?

Brooke: No, it was ridiculous. It's just a farce.

Stephanie: Hmm.

Brooke: You're going to disagree with me, although I have no idea why.

Stephanie: I think the whole thing is a farce. Amber has to sit there and watch Macy and Deacon get married, knowing they want to take the child. She's the only mother that boy's ever had. And none of this would have been happening if it weren't for you.

Brooke: Me?

Stephanie: Yeah. If you hadn't messed with Thorne and Macy, this wouldn't be happening.

[Brooke scoffs]

Brooke: Oh, so it's all my fault?

Stephanie: Mm-hmm.

Brooke: Why would I think you would see this any other way?

Darla: Come on. We need to get out of here.

Thorne: No.

Darla: Yes. Absolutely. All the memories in this house are just gonna drive you crazy. So, come on. Let's go. Let's go shopping.

Thorne: Shopping?

Darla: Yeah, for baby furniture. I know exactly what I want. I just don't have any way to pay for it.

Thorne: Okay, look, you -- you get what you need, okay? Whatever. And just send me the bill. All right?

Darla: No, no, no, no. Thorne, the point is not to buy me furniture. It's to get you focused on your future -- see what all you have to look forward to.

Thorne: Look, maybe some other day, okay?

Darla: No, no, no, honey. Today. Okay? Look, I know we screwed up. There's no doubt about that. And unfortunately, we cheated Macy out of a life of happiness that she deserved. Are we gonna do that to our child?

Thorne: No.

Darla: Yes.

Thorne: Of course not.

Darla: Yes, Thorne. Yes, we will -- if we sit around and wallow in guilt, and not put our attention where it needs to be. Honey, you can't make things right between you and Macy. It's too late. But, Thorne, it's not too late for this little one.

Thorne: No. You're right. He's not even here yet, huh?

Darla: Ooh.

Thorne: What?

Darla: Let me have your hand.

Thorne: What?

Darla: Give me your hand, quick. Quick. Right there -- right there.

Thorne: Whoa! Did that hurt?

Darla: No, no, no.

Thorne: Wow.

Darla: Here he comes again.

[Darla laughs] he heard you.

Thorne: That's amazing. He's really moving.

Darla: Say, "here I am, daddy." Ready and waiting to be loved.

Brooke: Did you really come here to support Amber or get in one more dig at me?

Stephanie: Well, I wouldn't even have to be concerned about supporting Amber if --

Brooke: If I just stopped breathing, right? Everybody would be so much happier. You know, that's really not fair, Stephanie.

Stephanie: Oh, let's talk about fair. Is it fair for Amber to be sitting in the church watching her life fall apart? She's been a wonderful mother -- something that you've never been. She could lose her child. So let's just discuss the real thing about being "fair."

Gladys: "Deacon and Macy get hitched," take two.

Macy: Sorry for the interruption.

Minister: That's quite all right. As i was saying, we're here today to celebrate the union of Macy Alexander and Deacon Sharpe in holy matrimony. But there'll be a third partner in this marriage. Eric will be a valued and cherished member of this new family. Now, this is normally the part of the ceremony where I feel compelled to remind the new bride and groom that there will be obstacles, that being married isn't necessarily about living happily ever after, but more growing and changing together. But in talking to Macy and Deacon these past few days, and getting to know them a little bit better, Iíve come to discover that they're already aware of that. These are two incredibly brave souls who have wrestled with great pain and sadness, who are learning to love each other and themselves, as god intended. That's a lifelong process -- never-ending. But the good news is that the -- the rewards are never-ending, as well. Together, you'll find your happiness, and your joy, and your healing. And you'll pass these gifts on to your children, and they to theirs, and on and on. And thereby, your love will make this world a better place.

Amber: Not my world. And not Eric's world.

Rick: Shh.

Minister: So now, if you will, join hands. Have you come here freely and without reservation to give yourselves to each other in marriage?

Both: We have.

Minister: And will you love and honor one another as husband and wife, throughout all your days?

Both: We will.

Minister: Macy and Deacon have declared their intention to enter into holy matrimony. If there's anyone who can show just cause why they shouldn't be married according to god's holy word, let them speak now or forever hold their peace.

Amber: Um, I -- I object.

Brooke: You must really miss Taylor right now.

Stephanie: What?

Brooke: Well, she's the one you would always go to and blame everything under the sun on me. And she would smile and laugh and say, "oh, Stephanie." But she's not here anymore. And nobody else wants to hear it. Aren't you tired of listening to yourself? You know what your problem is, Stephanie? You are all alone in this world. You have no life.

Stephanie: Believe me, you really don't need to remind me that Taylor is gone. I see how unhappy Ridge and the children are without her.

Brooke: So you'd rather have them be unhappy than be with me?

Stephanie: You'll never take her place. You will never be the person that she was.

Brooke: Fortunately, for Ridge and the children, that's not your decision to make.

Stephanie: He's not gonna marry you, Brooke.

Brooke: Oh, yes, he will. If that's what I want, that's what he'll do. So you better think about that next time you decide to hurl one of your famous insults at me. Stephanie, I'm the only person standing between you and the only family you've got left. And it's all your fault. It's because of your irrational hatred. And nobody wants to be around you. Everybody's so sick of dealing with that. You know what, just get out! I mean it. Get out of my house! I can't take it anymore either -- just like everybody else in your life!

Deacon: Amber, for god's sake, what are you doing?

Amber: I -- I, uh -- I object. Um, I mean -- I mean, I object! I --

Sally: Amber, be quiet or leave.

Amber: No.

Little Eric: Mommy, what's wrong?

Amber: Oh, it's okay, honey. Mommy just wants to talk to Deacon and Macy for a minute.

Sally: Clarke, would you?

Clarke: Yeah, okay. Eric? Come on, buddy, I think it's time to take a little break, okay? So, let's give your dad these rings.

Deacon: I'll keep these for you, okay?

Clarke: Okay. And come on. Let's go outside and hang out.

Macy: You've got to stop this right now.

Deacon: Amber, you just scared the hell out of the kid.

Amber: Yeah, well, imagine how scared he's gonna be when he loses us, huh? His parents!

Macy: What are you talking about? We've told you over and over --

Deacon: I told her before the ceremony. What are you doing --

Amber: Oh, right. Right, right, the ceremony. Yeah, you got this guy going on and on about Eric and his "new family"! Well, you know what, he has a family who loves him!

Macy: We all love little Eric --

Amber: Yeah, a little too much! Look, it's not my problem that you can't have children! Okay? Why don't you just go out adopt some little child in need or something? Just leave us alone!

Rick: Hey, honey, just -- please --

Amber: No! No, somebody had to say it!

Sally: Amber, you are gonna have to be quiet, or we're gonna have to call the police.

Deacon: Everybody just calm down, right now! This is your idea of cooperating with us? This is how you work things out? Amber, you knew this day was important to me.

Amber: Yeah, so important that you'd just sacrifice your son.

Deacon: What the hell are you talking about?

Amber: What, she wants a baby, you want her. You give her Eric and presto, everybody is happy! Everybody except Eric! You gave him to me! You gave him to me because he loves me. And I love him, more than anything in this world! You cannot change your mind now! No, he is my baby!

Deacon: No, he's not.

[Phone rings]

Stephanie: Hello? Uh, no, I'm sorry. Eric isn't here. I don't know when he'll be back. Thank you. If ever.

[Stephanie remembering]

Brooke: You know what

your problem is, Stephanie?

You are all alone in

this world.

You have no life.

[Dog barks]

[Stephanie laughs]

Stephanie: Well, who are you? Are you friendly? I hope. Are you lost? Why, yes, come here. Well, my goodness, aren't you beautiful? I was hoping to have someone to talk to. But I didn't have you exactly in mind.

Samantha: I could be just the person you need.

Deacon: Amber, he is not just your child. I'm his father. Macy is his stepmother. And, look, we all have a place in his life!

Macy: Okay, now let's all --

Deacon: No, I cannot believe i have to do this now! We're supposed to be getting married!

Macy: Look, Amber. I understand your concern. I know you've been talking to Brooke.

Amber: No, don't -- do not -- do not blame this on Brooke! Okay, you know, that's your whole problem. You blame her for everything! You know, that's what this marriage is about! It's about revenge!

Macy: You're wrong.

Amber: Oh, really? I'm supposed to believe that you're in love with him, huh? Him -- you just met him! And you -- and you, "two souls healing each other"? What a friggin' joke!

Macy: You are just out of control.

Rick: Amber, you are not helping.

Amber: Look -- look, I'm -- I'm sorry! I don't know any other way to get through to you. She is not in love with you --

Macy: Okay, that's enough! All right? Now you have two choices. You can either sit down and shut up, or you can get the heck out of here. Because I don't want to hear it anymore -- not from you, or from you, or your mother, or Stephanie, or Thorne. I'm sick to death of your whole family! Now, we invited you here because we wanted you to be part of this. And we thought it would be important for Eric to see all of us putting our differences aside for a change, for his sake. And if you're not capable of doing that, then maybe you're not the great parent that you think you are.

Deacon: All right, Macy, stop.

Macy: No, I'm serious. Did you see that little boy's face? He was terrified! And you can do that to him and even call yourself a mother?

Amber: Oh, I am his mother!

Macy: I realize you're very young --

Amber: Oh, I am too young to do a good job? Is that what you're saying? Huh?

Macy: Those are your words, not mine.

Amber: You know what, but that's where you're headed! That's where she is headed, okay? A little bit at a time, she's gonna start planting those seeds. She's gonna say, "amber, she's too immature. Amber, she's just not a good role model."

Macy: Oh, talk about planting seeds! My god, look at you!

Rick: Macy, she's just scared!

Macy: Yeah, well, pretty soon, she's gonna have good reason to be scared --

Amber: Excuse me?

Macy: -- If you keep acting like this!

Deacon: All right, Macy. Macy, come on. Take it easy. And you, Amber, sit the hell down!

Amber: Okay, Deacon, you know what? You can't do this to me! Please, don't --

Deacon: Now!

Rick: Amber, I think you've made your point.

Deacon: I'm gonna go and I'm gonna get little D. We are gonna finish this in just a minute.

Sally: Darling, I'm so sorry. The girl must be a lunatic. She has only herself to blame if you do take little Eric and run off.

Macy: Well, right now, that's exactly what I'd like to do.

Amber: No! He is my baby!

[Amber screaming]

Macy: You're crazy! No!

Amber: No, you will never have him! Do you hear me? Never! I will kill you, you hear me? No, I'll kill you first! Never!

Macy: Get off of me!

[Both screaming]

announcer: Tomorrow --

Amber: You think that you can just have this wedding and it's gonna make you look good!

Gladys: Oh, mercy! Mercy, what's happening?

Amber: You know nothing about Eric and you are never going to!

Julie: You are only causing more trouble for yourself.

Amber: I am not leaving without my son.

Announcer: Deacon, amber -- hot enough for you? "The bold and the beautiful."
