Macy: This is not the answer. God.

Sally: Macy?

[Nick clears his throat]

Nick: Oh, excuse me. A little daydreaming about that kiss I gave you a few days ago?

Brooke: You wish.

Nick: Actually, what I wish is you were dreaming about anybody but Forrester. You know, that was sort of the point of the kiss, you know?

Brooke: To show me that there are alternatives to Ridge?

Nick: Viable ones.

Brooke: Mm. I wonder why it didn't work. Maybe you need to brush up on your technique.

Nick: Oh. I never had any complaints before. I guess if that little liplock didn't get you to consider dumping Forrester, you might need a little extra prodding.

Brooke: From you?

Nick: I can't think of anybody else.

Brooke: So, what are you gonna do this time? Make mad, passionate love to me?

Nick: You'd definitely forget about Forrester.

Brooke: Oh, my God. Has anybody told you you have a huge --

Nick: Yeah.

Brooke: -- Ego.

Nick: Well, that, too. As much as I'm enjoying this little banter, I actually came by to see how you were, if there's anything I can do to help.

Brooke: Why do you care?

Nick: Because I like you. And Bridget. You're good people caught in a bad situation. But you can put a stop to it.

Brooke: How are you supposed to control your heart?

Nick: Well, that's a good question. Why don't you control your heart with your head? Right? Look around, huh, Brooke? Look at this. Big, beautiful office, powerful woman. You consider yourself a smart woman, don't you? I do. I would say you don't take anything from anybody, so why take it from Ridge? He plays you against your daughter. Now are you gonna tell me that's okay?

Brooke: No. No, of course not.

Nick: Well, then don't let him get away with it. Because if you do, you know exactly how it's gonna end up, and you're gonna regret it.

Eric: Bridget? Oh, my God, Bridget. Oh, Bridget. Ridge, call 911.

Ridge: All right.

Eric: Hold on. Honey, you gotta honey on. Bridget, hold on. Hold on. Oh, God.

Ridge: Come on. Hello, yes. We need an ambulance right away, please. A woman -- she fell and hit her head. Yes, she's unconscious. 3197 Holden drive. Thank you. As soon as possible, please.

Macy: Mom, this isn't what it looks like.

Sally: Oh, well, thank goodness for that. Now I won't have to worry about a booze residue in the bottom of that glass.

Macy: I wasn't drinking.

Sally: Then what were you doing, darling? Watering the plants?

Macy: Yeah. Yeah, as a matter of fact, I was.

Sally: Macy -- if you can't be honest with me, fine. But for God's sake, be honest with yourself.

Macy: Look, mother, I admit I almost took a drink. But I didn't.

Sally: Well -- thank heaven for that. But what I want to know is what drove you to this point in the first place? You were just fine when you left the office. You were going over to talk to Darla. You were looking forward to discussing the possibility of you and Thorne adopting her baby. Right? Is that it, darling? That didn't go so well?

Macy: You could say that.

Sally: So Darla doesn't want you and Thorne to adopt the baby?

Macy: Oh, no, she -- she does. She thinks Thorne and I would be the perfect people to adopt the baby.

Sally: Well, then, honey, what's the problem?

Macy: I can't. Knowing who the father of the baby is, I can't.

Sally: You know who the father is? What is he, some kind of snake?

Macy: Worse than you could imagine.

Sally: Macy -- well, please, Macy, don't keep me in suspense. Tell me. Who is this bum that got Darla pregnant?

Macy: It's Thorne.

Sally: Thorne? Oh, my God. That lying son of --

Macy: Mom, what are you doing?

Sal: What I should've done the first time he betrayed you and broke your heart. And the second time. And the third time! How dare he behave like this? But he's gonna pay for it. This time, he's going to hear from me.

Ridge: She's right in here.

Paramedic #1: Okay. What happened?

Eric: She fell. She fell and hit her head on this column.

Paramedic #1: All right. Did you move her?

Ridge: No.

Paramedic #2: Let's get a collar on her.

Paramedic #1: What's her name, sir?

Eric: Bridget.

Paramedic #1: Bridget? Bridget, can you hear me?

Paramedic #2: Pupils are equal and reactive. Respirations are labored. How long has she been unconscious?

Ridge: Five, ten minutes maybe at the most.

Paramedic #1: We should get her on a back board for transport. I'll start an I.V. en route. Ready to roll her?

Paramedic #2: This is Rescue Five. We're on scene with an approximately 20-year-old female, who's fallen and struck her head. She has about a one-inch laceration to the left frontal lobe and is unconscious at this time. B.P.'s 120 by palpation. Respirations are shallow. Our ETA to your facility is ten minutes. Let's go.

Ridge: Can we go with you?

Paramedic #1: Only one of you.

Ridge: All right, I'll go.

Eric: No, you stay here. You call Brooke, tell her to meet us at university hospital.

[Sirens wail]

Brooke: You're not gonna stop bugging me, are you?

Nick: No, I'm not.

Brooke: Well, what if I tell you that I told Ridge I don't want to have anything to do with him until he figured out right from wrong?

Nick: Well, I'd say, congratulations, it's over. But it's not. Don't let him decide. Take control, do what's right for you, for your family and for Bridget and end it.

Brooke: It's not that easy. [Phone rings] hello?

Ridge: Brooke, it's me.

Brooke: Ridge, I thought I told you --

Ridge: There's been an accident. Bridget's been hurt.

Brooke: What? What happened?

Ridge: She fell. Dad's with her right now. I'll meet you at university hospital, okay?

Brooke: Yes, I'll be right there.

Nick: What happened?

Brooke: Bridget's hurt. She's at the hospital.

Nick: Well, I'll take you.

Brooke: All right.

[Knocking at door]

Thorne: All right. Sally?

Sally: Yeah, Sally -- your worst nightmare. I am here, Thorne, to make sure that you regret until your dying day the moment you decided to betray my daughter!

Thorne: Sally, I know why you're here, all right? Now let me explain.

Sally: I'm not gonna let you do anything. I am simply going to offer you a warning. You go near Macy again, and I am going to kill you!

Thorne: Sally, you're upset with me, and you have a right to be. I made a mistake.

Sally: A mistake? Oh, is that what they're calling it these days? A mistake? As in, "oops, Macy, I'm so sorry, I slept with your best friend"?

Thorne: I know you hate me. And I know you want to get even. But I never wanted to hurt her. I thought that she had chosen Lorenzo.

Sally: Don't try that. Don't try that with me. There is no excuse for what you've done.

Thorne: I know.

Sally: No, you don't. You don't know a damn thing. You have brought my daughter nothing but years of misery and pain. Starting with Brooke. That was a messy situation, wasn't it? Then an automobile crash and a fire. I actually thought you had learned a lesson from that, Thorne. I thought you had changed.

Thorne: I have, Sally.

Sally: No. No, you haven't. You're exactly the same. And my poor Macy -- she couldn't see that. She was so much in love that she couldn't see you for what you are. But I should have. I should have looked after her better.

Thorne: Sally, I know how you feel, okay? I never planned for this to happen.

Sally: But it did happen, didn't it? Whether you planned it or not, it did happen. And Macy didn't deserve it. My daughter is a decent, kind human being. She deserved to be loved and respected. She deserved to be happy.

Thorne: Sally, I'm sorry.

Sally: Don't. Don't you dare try that. Don't you dare try to offer me some kind of a feeble apology. I know you. I know you for what you are. You are nothing but a cheating, heartless, soulless person. And I hate you, you poor excuse for a human being. I hate you. And I will always hate and despise you for the rest of my life.

Ridge: Oh, Bridget, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.

Eric: All right, thank you.

Brooke: Eric, what happened?

Eric: Brooke -- she fell. She hit her head.

Brooke: My baby. Is she going to be okay? What did the doctors say?

Eric: Well, I just spoke to the neurologist.

Brooke: The neurologist?

Eric: She's had an MRI. They needed to examine her. She has a concussion.

Brooke: Well, she's going to be okay, right?

Eric: Yeah. We're waiting for the results of another test.

Brooke: I still don't understand. How did this happen? Where was she?

Ridge: At my house.

Eric: The thing that matters right now is Bridget.

Brooke: You're right. Bridget -- can you hear me? Honey? It's mom. Please -- Bridget, please, wake up.

Sally: You haven't got a clue, have you? You haven't got a clue as to what pain and damage you've caused to Macy. You didn't just sleep with another woman, Thorne. You slept with Macy's best friend.

Thorne: Sally, Darla and I thought that Macy had decided to stay with Lorenzo.

Sally: What did it take? Maybe an hour before the two of you got in the sack together? Macy never should have left Lorenzo. She should have stayed with him. He was a good man. And he loved her. That man adored her. She could have had a wonderful life with him. But she gave it all up. And for what?

Thorne: Love.

Sally: Love? You don't know the meaning of the word.

Thorne: Sally, I can make this up to Macy, if she will give me the chance.

Sally: No. You had your last chance, Thorne. Now you listen to me. I'm warning you. If you as much as go near Macy, if you ever try to involve her in a relationship with you ever again, I swear I will come after you with everything I've got.

Thorne: And what is that going to accomplish, Sally? Whether you believe it or not, Macy does love me.

Sally: No. Not anymore. Her best friend is pregnant with your child. With your child, Thorne. The child that Macy can never have. You know, the one person I'm really surprised at in all of this is Darla. I don't understand how she could have done this to Macy. I loved that girl. Made her a part of my family and loved her like -- like she was another daughter. I can't believe it. I can't believe she would do a thing like this to Macy. I can't believe it. And I can't forgive.

[Knock at door]

Darla: Hey. Have you heard from Macy? Hi, Sal.

Eric: She's gonna be fine, Brooke. We just -- we have to hold onto that.

Brooke: She's been through so much lately. It just doesn't even seem fair.

Eric: I know. I know. You're right. But she needs us right now.

Brooke: I love her so much.

Eric: Tell her that.

Brooke: Bridget -- I love you. I do. I love you so much. Bridget?

Bridget: Mm.

Brooke: Oh, honey. We're here for you. Yes. Your dad and I, we're here for you.

Eric: I'm very glad you opened your eyes.

Bridget: What happened?

Eric: You fell, sweetheart.

Bridget: Oh. At ridge's.

Eric: Yeah. Honey, don't talk now.

[Bridget coughs]

Eric: Don't talk. Just -- just get your rest, okay?

Bridget: Daddy, you were there. At ridge's. You -- you were arguing. You wanted to -- daddy wanted to drag me out.

Brooke: Baby, we'll talk about this later, okay?

Bridget: Mm. This has gotten so crazy.

Brooke: It's okay.

Nick: Take a good look, Forrester. Look what you've done to that family. And those two women that you claim to love.
