Brooke: Oh, my God. This can't be a happening.

Bridget: I feel so stupid blubbering about this. I mean, it was just a --

Ridge: No, no, no, no, no. Don't just say, "it was just a kiss." 'Cause we both know it was a lot more than that. A lot more.

Brooke: No. No.

Massimo: You wouldn't have believed me if I'd told you, Brooke. You just had to hear it for yourself. Salut.

April: So, what's the 411, huh? Did you talked to that A&R guy again?

Deacon: I closed the deal today.

April: He wants to do my record?

Deacon: Yeah. Yeah, he's gonna let me know as soon as he has studio time available. Huh?

April: Oh! Deacon! Deacon, you are the man. I just -- I can't wait until everyone gets home.

Deacon: Hey, where are they, by the way?

April: Some big, fancy party for Brooke's engagement.

Deacon: Brooke got engaged?

April: Yeah, I thought I told you.

Deacon: No, actually, you didn't.

April: Oh, well, it's no big surprise anyway. Rick said it's been cookin' for months. Ridge just finally made it official.

Deacon: Well, she's wanted this for a long time. She must be thrilled.

Massimo: Ah, is everybody having a good time?

Katie: We're having a wonderful time, Mr. Marone.

Massimo: Oh, please. Call me Massimo.

Stephanie: Well, you're certainly in a very good mood.

Massimo: I'm celebrating. So should you. This is a great day for you and your family.

[Brooke sobbing]

Deacon: I tell you, those Forresters, they are one interesting group.

April: Please. Can't be that bad.

Deacon: I don't know. They were willing to let you take the fall for a scandal you didn't create.

April: That was my idea.

Deacon: Oh. But I'm gonna bet they didn't beg you to consider the consequences, did they?

April: You know -- you told me that the Forresters had a problem with you. Now I'm startin' to think it's the other way around.

Deacon: Yeah. You know, maybe we just all been through a lot together.

April: Poor little Deacon. Negotiating with that A&R guy must've been so tough.

[Doorbell rings]

[April groans]

April: Not again. Okay. Hold on. Oh!

Deacon: What is that?

April: It is Brooke's wedding dress. Wow.

Bridget: It all seems so surreal. Everything that's happened.

Ridge: Listen, I just wanted you to know that --

Bridget: Ridge -- you don't have to say anything. I know your feelings. I know. Look at that. This family is healing. Dad and Stephanie are back together because of our sacrifice. And I'm really happy for all of you. I really am.

Ridge: Thanks, princess.

Bridget: Good luck. Good-bye.

Katie: Was Portofino as romantic as they say?

Storm: Brooke told us Eric really pulled out all the stops for you, Stephanie.

Rick: Yeah, dad, I heard that you went to the trouble to hire a private opera singer?

Eric: I plead the fifth.

Stephanie: The fifth? Wait a minute. Since when it is a crime for a husband to serenade his wife?

Amber: Well, it would be if anyone's ever heard my husband sing.

Rick: Yeah, very funny. Thank you.

Bridget: Hi.

Eric: Hey, there you are.

Katie: Hi.

Ridge: Katie, nice to see you.

Storm: Nice to see you.

Bridget: You, too.

Storm: Congratulations, Ridge.

Ridge: Thank you, Storm.

Stephanie: Where have you been? I thought maybe you'd made the decision to run off.

Ridge: You'll have to excuse my family. I think this wedding's got everyone a little keyed up. But don't worry. Even though Brooke and I haven't had much time to put this together, we're on a roll now, and nothing is gonna stop us.

Massimo: Brooke? What are you doing in here?

Brooke: Please just -- just leave me alone.

[Massimo sighs] Massimo: Are you all right? I mean, has something happened?

Brooke: I don't know. It just doesn't make sense. What I saw. What they said.

Massimo: What who said?

Brooke: Ridge and Bridget on the balcony.

Massimo: Yeah, I just -- I just saw them. I mean, they're fine.

Brooke: They've kissed. They kissed.

Massimo: What did you say?

[Brooke sobbing] Brooke: Nothing.

Massimo: No, no, no, I -- no, I thought I heard you say they kissed.

Brooke: I don't understand. She's his sister.

Massimo: Well, no, actually, she's not, Brooke.

Brooke: Massimo, he is my fiancÚ. And we were planning a wedding. And this is our engagement party. I don't understand how this happened! We were supposed to get married!

[Brooke sobbing]

Ridge: So I was just as floored as Brooke was.

Katie: So you didn't know the kids were gonna propose?

Amber: Ridge wasn't even sure they were gonna accept her.

Stephanie: And if it hadn't been for Bridget, they might not have.

Bridget: Oh, I didn't do anything.

Ridge: Oh, don't be so modest. Mother's right. The kids really took your advice to heart.

Rick: Well, what did you tell them?

Bridget: I just told them they had to make their own decision.

Ridge: And that if I wanted Brooke to be a part of our family, it was probably a very good idea.

Storm: That's our Bridget, always the voice of reason.

Stephanie: I think that's a trait she inherits from her father.

Storm: Speaking of Brooke -- where is she?

Eric: She was here a minute ago.

Brooke: How could he do this? It doesn't make sense. I knew they were close. Not this close. Something must have happened. How could they do it? How could he cross that line?

Massimo: How did you cross it with Deacon?

Brooke: That was different, Massimo! That was a mistake. That was wrong -- what I did with Deacon. But this -- Ridge and Bridget? That is incest!

Massimo: They are not related, Brooke. Ridge is a Marone.

Brooke: Oh, God, it doesn't matter. Bridget grew up as his sister. She looked up to him. She respected him.

Massimo: Now she's in love with him.

Brooke: I can't believe that. The way that he was touching her --

Massimo: It's awful. I know. And I couldn't let you go ahead with this wedding. You had to know the truth.

Brooke: You knew? You knew about this, and you wanted me to know.

Massimo: You were ready to commit your life to Ridge and his family for the rest of your life.

Brooke: And that's why you led me over there, over to the terrace where they talking?

Massimo: I couldn't let this travesty continue. I had to stop it.

Brooke: So everything they said --

Massimo: It's all true.

[Brooke sobbing] Brooke: I can't go out there. I'm not gonna be able to face them.

Massimo: No, no, no. No, look. Brooke, don't worry about it, all right? I will tell them that you are sick. Okay? That you have to go home. I'll have my driver take you. Leave it to me, Brooke, I -- I've got it all under control.

Ridge: Logan?

Rick: Mom, what's wrong?

Massimo: Brooke isn't feeling too well.

Bridget: Mom, what is it?

Massimo: It was her stomach. It just -- all of a sudden.

Eric: Did you call a doctor?

Massimo: No, no, no, she just needs some rest. I'm gonna have my driver take her home.

Ridge: No, come on. That's silly. Logan, here, come on, I'll take you.

Brooke: No, don't touch me.

Massimo: No, no, no, she could be contagious.

Katie: Well, you know, I can take her.

Brooke: But I just don't want any of you to catch this. So I'm gonna go, and you just stay and have a good time, okay?

Massimo: Ridge, don't worry. I'll take care of everything.

April: I'll bet this is a Forrester original. You know, maybe it's even the showstopper from Portofino.

Deacon: Hey, I thought you wanted to talk about the record deal.

April: Oh, I do! I do. I just -- I just think it's so exciting, don't you? You know, Amber has been telling me what Ridge and Brooke have been through this past year and talk about drama. But -- but they pulled it together, and now they're getting married. And I know I'm not the warm and fuzzy type, but when you think about it, it just kind of makes you feel good. You know, like -- like anything's possible.

Deacon: Oh, you know, marrying back into this family, that's -- that's gotta be a real achievement for Brooke.

April: What is eatin' you?

Deacon: Nothing, April, nothing. Not a damn thing.

April: Look, Deacon. I know you have had a lot of tension with the Forresters, but that is no reason to take it out on Brooke. She is a very classy lady. And if you knew how much this marriage meant to her, I think you would treat her with a little bit of respect.

Stephanie: What's going on?

Ridge: I don't know.

Bridget: I'm worried about mom. I think you should go check on her.

Ridge: Well, she seemed pretty adamant about me staying here. Maybe she's right.

Bridget: Okay, then I'll go.

Massimo: Ah, good, you're all still here.

Ridge: How's Brooke?

Massimo: Well, she's on her way home. And she's going straight to bed. She also made it very clear she doesn't want to be disturbed. She also made it very clear that she didn't want us to be disturbed by her sudden exit. So, on her behalf, I would like to make a toast. Here's to Ridge -- to the happiness that you deserve, and the woman that can give it to you.

April: Hi, Brooke. You're home early. Party must've been a blast, huh? You know, you got a delivery. I think it's your wedding dress. If you want, I can help you try it on.

Brooke: I wanna be alone.

April: Okay. Well, I'll just -- I'll hang out here until Amber gets home.

Brooke: No, I want you to go.

April: Excuse me?

Brooke: I want you to get out. I want you to go home. I don't care. Just go.

April: Are you sick? 'Cause you don't look so good.

Brooke: Damn it, April! Just get the hell out of here!

April: Okay.

[Brooke sobbing]
