 C.J.: Can we talk?

Bridget: C.J., I told you yesterday, I don't want to discuss this.

C.J.: So you're not gonna tell me anything?

 Bridget: There's nothing to tell.

C.J.: Bridget, I was standing right there. I saw the way that you were looking at Ridge.

Bridget: I don't know what you're talking about.

C.J.: Do I have to say it?

Bridget: I just want you to please let it go.

C.J.: Well, then, tell me I'm wrong. Give me some other type of explanation. Because, Bridget, it really looks -- God, I can't even believe I'm saying this, but it really looks like you're in love with him. Bridget?

Bridget: It's not what you're thinking.

C.J.: Well, you know, I don't know what to think. I mean, Bridget, he's your brother.

Ridge: I really appreciate this, Jared.

Jared: I'll talk to my suppliers. I'm sure we can get a rush on that shipment.

Ridge: Well, production can't finish their run until that fabric comes in.

 Jared: Yeah, what happened?

Ridge: We knew Portofino was gonna be big. We had no idea that many orders were gonna come in.

Jared: Well, every designer should have your problems.

 Ridge: Tell me about it.

Maitre d': Good evening, Ms. Logan. Will you be dining alone?

 Brooke: Yes.

 Maitre d': Right this way.

 Brooke: Thank you.

Jared: I'll call you first thing tomorrow.

Ridge: Appreciate it so much, Jared. Thank you.

 Jared: Don't mention it.

 Ridge: Take care.

 Brooke: Hi.

 Ridge: This is a surprise.

Brooke: Yes, it is. Hope's with Auntie Katie tonight, so I thought I would treat myself to a dinner.

 Ridge: All by yourself.

Brooke: Unless you want to join me. But if you have to get back to the kids, I understand.

Ridge: Catherine's actually not expecting me for a while, and my business meeting finished early.

Brooke: Lucky me. Well -- this seems to be a step in the right direction.

Ridge: What direction would that be?

Brooke: To the altar, of course. Isn't that where we were headed?

Kristen: Amber, are you sure this is how you want to handle this?

Amber: Well, it's too late to back out now. The press is gonna be here any minute.

Rick: Look, if you're too nervous, I can talk to them.

Amber: No, no. I have to do this myself. I just wish we weren't doing it here.

 Eric: Is there a problem?

Amber: Well, I wanted to do this press conference to take heat off the company. I don't know why Brooke scheduled it here.

Stephanie: Sweetheart, you may be leaving the company, but you're not leaving the family.

Rick: And we want the press to know that we completely support you.

Amber: Yeah, but I don't want you associated with this. Not the family, not the business. I am the one that made that video. I have to take responsibility for it. Just me, alone.

Stephanie: Yes, but you're not alone. And we're not gonna let that happen.

Eric: Sweetheart, you're making a big sacrifice for this company, and we appreciate it.

Amber: You know, I love my job. I love being a part of this business. And if there was any other way out of this, believe me, I'd take it, but -- I can't let this scandal affect the company. I have to step down.

 Bridget: C.J., You don't understand.

C.J.: Well, you're right about that. I don't. I don't get it at all. And frankly, the more I think about it, maybe I don't want to.

 Bridget: It's not like that.

C.J.: Bridget, I know what I saw, okay? I'm not an idiot.

 Bridget: Look -- Ridge and I -- we --

C.J.: You what? You're his sister.

 Bridget: No, I'm not.

 C.J.: You're not what, Bridget?

 Bridget: I'm not his sister.

C.J.: Bridget, what are you talking about?

Bridget: C.J., Listen to me. I'm gonna tell you something, but you have to swear to me you won't tell anybody. Not your mother, not your sister, nobody.

 C.J.: Okay.

 Bridget: Swear it.

 C.J.: I swear it.

Bridget: Ridge and I aren't related.

C.J.: What are you talking about?

Bridget: Stephanie was involved with someone else in college. They broke up right before she started dating my dad, and she didn't know she was pregnant. So when she found out, she just assumed Ridge was Eric's. Up until a little over a year ago.

C.J.: You're serious, aren't you? Does Ridge know this?

 Bridget: He just found out.

C.J.: Wait a minute, so you're telling me Stephanie has known this whole time and she didn't say anything to Ridge until now?

Bridget: She didn't tell him, C.J. His father did.

 C.J.: His real father?

Bridget: It's Massimo. Ridge's real father is Massimo Marone. C.J., You can't say anything, okay? My dad doesn't know.

C.J.: Ridge is a Marone? Wow. So that's why Massimo wanted Ridge to run his company, of course. That explains everything. Everything except what's going on with you.

Ridge: You think we're headed to the altar?

 Brooke: Gotcha.

Ridge: That's very cute, Logan. Very cute.

Brooke: Yeah, you should have seen your face.

Ridge: Just very, very funny. Yeah.

Brooke: You know, I could be insulted. But I'm not.

Ridge: Considering we just started talking again --

Brooke: I know, and I'm very grateful for that. I am not going to pressure you.

 Ridge: I appreciate that.

Brooke: Maybe we should order some wine.

 Ridge: Oh, no, thanks.

Brooke: No? You don't want to let your defenses down?

Ridge: I already had some at my meeting.

Brooke: Oh? Well, I'm gonna get some.

 Ridge: Celebrating, are we?

 Brooke: Just soothing my nerves.

Ridge: Oh, I made you uncomfortable.

Brooke: Don't flatter yourself. I have a lot more on my mind at this moment than you.

 Ridge: What's going on?

Brooke: Haven't you heard? My new designer is an x-rated movie star.

Ridge: Oh, yeah. Sally showed me that tabloid.

Brooke: Yeah, well, I don't think the press is going to find it nearly as amusing.

Ridge: What are you going to do?

 Brooke: Nothing.

Ridge: Brooke, this is a PR nightmare. You know that.

Brooke: I know, I know, but Amber's handling it. She's holding a press conference right now.

 Ridge: Shouldn't you be there?

Brooke: She doesn't want me there. She wants to keep as much distance between Forrester and this scandal as possible. And I only hope to God it works.

Eric: Look, I think everybody's here. You want to get started?

Amber: Let's do it. [Cameras flashing] Good evening. As most of you know, I am Amber Forrester. I will try to keep this short. I'm sure you all have questions and deadlines to meet.

Reporter #1: Are the tabloid stories true?

Amber: I'd like to make an announcement before I comment on that.

Reporter #3: If these reports are false, will Forrester sue?

Amber: This has nothing to do with Forrester creations. Please, just -- just listen to what I have to say, and I promise I will answer all of your questions. First of all, I would like to thank my family for all of their support. Not just today, but for all of the faith that they've had in me for years. It's an honor to be associated with them and their company. And it is with great sadness that I have to make this announcement today. I've poured my heart and soul into Forrester. I have loved every minute of it. But considering all of the negative publicity that I've generated in this past year -- I think it's time that I step down. So as of today, I will be resigning my position with the Ambrosia collection and with Forrester creations.

[Cameras flashing]

 Ridge: Amber's leaving the business?

Brooke: It's the only way she can protect the company.

Ridge: So it's true about the movie then.

Brooke: Yeah, it's sad, really. After all this work that she's done to improve herself, she gets blindsided by a mistake that she made a long time ago. And now, she stands to lose everything that's really important to her.

Ridge: Are we still talking about Amber here?

Brooke: Ridge, I can understand that maybe you can't forgive for what I've done. But I'm relieved to know that you're at least considering it. You are considering it, aren't you?

 Bridget: Ridge and I aren't related, C.J.

C.J.: So I was right. You do have feelings for him. Bridget, you can't, okay? It's -- it's -- it's wrong. Okay, maybe you're not related, but come on. You have spent your entire life thinking that this person is family. You can't just overlook that.

 Bridget: I'm not.

C.J.: Okay, okay. It makes sense that you would feel something. I mean, you've been spending so much time with him, you've been taking care of his children. There is a connection there, but you're not in love with him.

Bridget: That's what I kept telling myself. That it's not possible. Ridge and I even talked about it.

C.J.: Wait -- Ridge knows how you feel?

Bridget: He came to the airport and then told me I didn't have to run away.

C.J.: Well, he's right. He's right, Bridget, because there is nothing to run away from. Look, you're just really confused right now, and this is all in your head.

Bridget: I don't know. I mean, I don't know anymore. I've tried everything. I've thought of every explanation, but these feelings, they just won't go away, and I don't know if they're going to.

 C.J.: So you love him?

 Bridget: I think so.

 C.J.: It's okay.

Bridget: It's not. It's not okay. It's not. God, I'm so sorry, C.J. I know -- I know this isn't what you want to hear. It's not what I want to be saying. I -- I didn't have anyone else to talk to about it.

C.J.: Don't worry about it, okay? I'm glad that you told me. I'm glad that you opened up to me. Look at me. You can trust me with this.

Bridget: This is so hard. Knowing what I do and feeling this way. And I'm seeing Ridge and my mom get closer, and I don't want to interfere with that, so I have to just keep everything bottled up inside, and I don't know how much longer I can do this.

Ridge: What was that you were saying about no pressure?

Brooke: I shouldn't have asked you that. If you're not ready to jump back into this relationship, I can wait. You obviously have a lot on your mind.

Ridge: Hey, you have no idea.

Brooke: I wouldn't be a good friend if I didn't give you time to work through it.

 Ridge: Thank you.

Brooke: But if there's anything that you want to know or anything that you want to ask me, please don't hesitate, because I want to be completely honest with you.

Ridge: Well, that would be refreshing.

Brooke: Ridge, I know you think that I betrayed you by keeping Hope's paternity a secret.

Ridge: I came down pretty hard on you, didn't I?

Brooke: Yeah, you did. But I don't blame you. 'Cause every time I think about what I did to Bridget and what this secret could do to Hope, it still really disturbs me. But I can't keep kicking myself, you know? I've got to move on for my sake and for my children. I had to face reality, and I did. It changed me.

Ridge: A dose of reality will definitely change everything.

Brooke: It changed me for the better. Whether anybody wants to believe that or not. I know what's in my heart, and I know that I'm a good person and I've learned to be proud of myself. And someday you're gonna be proud of me, too, Ridge. Whether we're together or not.

Ridge: But you'd like it if we were?

Brooke: I'm definitely not ready to give up on it. Just a few weeks ago, we were talking about marriage, combining our families, and that's been a dream of mine for a very long time. It's going to happen. But it's not going to happen out of fate or destiny. It's going to happen because I've earned it. And I'm going to earn it by the truth. No more secrets. I'm going to be the woman that you deserve. The woman that you can count on, believe in.

Ridge: You're right about that part. That's exactly what I need in my life right now.

[Crowd murmuring]

Amber: Please -- please, just -- just quiet down for a minute, okay? This was a very difficult decision for me.

Reporter #1: Are you stepping down because of the video?

Reporter #2: Did the Forresters ask you to leave?

Amber: No, no, this -- this was my decision.

Reporter #3: What's going to happen to your line?

Amber: The Ambrosia line will cease to exist.

Reporter #2: How does your family feel about the video?

Reporter #1: Have they seen it?

Reporter #3: Rick, give us a statement.

Rick: I fully support my wife in the decision that she has made. That is all we have to say. Thank you.

Reporter #2: Amber, when did you make the tape? How old were you?

Reporter #1: Are you in touch with Rudy Delight now?

Reporter #3: Did you choose the name "Ambrosia Undressed"?

Reporter #2: Were you trying to capitalize on your success?

Amber: Now, wait a minute. You listen to me. Let me tell you something about that video. That video was a tragedy. It was a tragedy that it was ever made, it was a tragedy that it was ever released, and that girl -- that girl in that video, she was exploited. She was young, she was -- she was naive, she was --

Amber's twin: She wasn't Amber at all. The girl in the video wasn't Amber. It was me.
