[Massimo sighs]

Massimo: Ridge has got to stop her. Bridget can't leave the country. Not now. Oh, God, I pray that he made it to the airport in time.

 Guard: Thank you, sir.

 Stephanie: Honey, you better go.

Bridget: Can't we just wait a few more minutes?

Stephanie: Well, I don't think you have a few minutes. I -- I think they're gonna be boarding.

Bridget: You said Ridge was gonna be at the party.

Stephanie: Bridget -- your father called him. I don't know what happened. Maybe he got tied up.

Bridget: Yeah, but it doesn't feel right, leaving without saying good-bye to him.

Stephanie: You got to say good-bye to the children.

Bridget: Yes, and I'm very grateful for that. But -- look, the line isn't too long. Why don't I just go try his cell phone?

Stephanie: Honey, I understand. It's very difficult leaving people that you love and care about. And I know a year looks and sounds like a long, long time, but it's going to pass just like that. When you come back, I promise you, everything in your life will be all sorted out.

Bridget: I just wanted to say good-bye.

Stephanie: I just want you to go and have a good time. Copenhagen is a great city.

Bridget: I know, I know. And this internship is a great opportunity for me. I know.

Stephanie: Then why don't you go? What are you waiting for?

[Car accelerating]

[Thunder crashes]

Ridge: I can't let her go. I've got to stop her. Hang on, Bridget. Hang on, I'm coming. I'm coming.

[Thunder crashes]

Deacon: Rough day? Kind of guess you've been having quite a few of those lately.

Brooke: What are you doing here?

Deacon: Just wanted to check on you. I wanted to see how you're doing.

 Brooke: Get out.

Deacon: Baby, I'm sorry that things went down the way that they did, but I'm not gonna let you run off and marry this loser.

Brooke: And who are you calling a loser, Deacon? You drunken, selfish --

Deacon: Whoa, whoa. Hey, hey, hey, stop. All right? Look, don't take this out on me. I'm not the one who -- I'm not the one who screwed you over here. Ridge is.

Brooke: Ridge just needs some time to sort things out. He is going to forgive me.

Deacon: He's gonna forgive -- Brooke! He should be asking for your forgive -- don't you get it? This guy doesn't respect you. He never has.

Brooke: Oh, and you do? How do you show me respect? You barge into my relationship, a relationship that means more to me than anything in this world, and you turn it upside down?

Deacon: I'm sorry. All I did was tell the truth. I can't help that Ridge didn't want to hear it. I guess you don't either.

Brooke: No, go ahead. Go ahead and tell me the truth.

Deacon: The truth is that I love you. And the truth is also that I will do whatever it takes to put our family back together, Brooke.

 Brooke: You love me?

Deacon: I know that probably doesn't matter much to you right now.

Brooke: Deacon, how many times do I have to tell you there's nothing between us?

Deacon: Brooke, we've -- we've got a daughter together. I mean, what are you talking about?

Brooke: Yes, we do. And if you cared about her at all, you'd walk out that door, and you'd never come back.

Deacon: You know I can't do that.

Brooke: Why? It wouldn't serve you, would it? You didn't come here to do what's best for hope. You came here to settle a score.

Deacon: No. No, you're wrong. I came here because you need me, and so does she. Whether you realize it or not.

Brooke: What I need is for you to leave me alone.

Deacon: Why, so you can go back to Ridge? So you can get down on your hands and knees and beg this guy to take you back? No. No, I'm not gonna do it. I can't let you do it, not again. Brooke, how many times have you pretended to be something that you're not? You put this guy's interests, this guy's entire stupid family in front of yourself. Why are you trying to impress these people? I don't get it. Please, tell me. You've got someone standing right in front of you who appreciates you. The real you.

Brooke: You don't know me, Deacon. You don't know the first thing about me.

Deacon: I know that you don't have to kowtow to the Forresters, and I sure as hell know you don't have to grovel in front of Ridge.

Brooke: I'm not. You can't even begin to understand what Ridge and I share.

Deacon: No, I don't understand it. And frankly, it doesn't look like you're sharing too much of anything to me.

Brooke: You have no idea what you're talking about.

Deacon: Okay, look -- obviously, I'm wrong. I guess he's accepted your apology, right? I mean, he's listened to your explanation, and you guys have started talking about reconciliations. Brooke -- this guy won't even talk to you, will he?

 Brooke: He's in shock, Deacon.

Deacon: And you're in denial. Look, the guy dumped you, and you can't admit it.

 Brooke: He did not!

Deacon: Okay, fine, whatever. I didn't come here to argue with you.

Brooke: Right, right. You just came here to pledge your devotion, right?

Deacon: If you want to know the truth -- I came by hoping you'd have dinner with me.

 Brooke: I wouldn't speed through a drive-through with you.

Deacon: Wow. These people have really done a number on you, haven't they? I mean, they got you running so scared, you can't even relax for even a second.

Brooke: No. The reason I can't relax is because of you!

Deacon: That's funny. I remember when you used to say that I was the only person who could help you forget your troubles.

Stephanie: Bridget, look at me. Your devotion to Ridge and his children has been absolutely wonderful. Everybody has said so.

Bridget: Now you think the time I've spent with them is good?

Stephanie: Well, I've always thought it was good. I mean, it was wonderful for them. But you're 20 years old. You need to get on with your own life. You don't need this burden.

 Bridget: It's not a burden.

Stephanie: Bridget -- you've been taking care of people all of your young life because of the relationship you have with your mother. Now it's time for you to put yourself and your needs first. When was the last time that you really did something that you wanted to do, and not what somebody else wanted you to do? You haven't even really given that a good thought, have you?

 Bridget: No.

Stephanie: Well, that's got to change. You've got to be true to yourself.

Bridget: I have to be my own person.

Stephanie: Yes, your own person. And don't let somebody who has his own selfish agenda push you off course.

Bridget: Right. You're right. Okay. Thank you.

 Stephanie: You're welcome.

Ridge: No. No, I can't have missed her. Bridget? Bridget! Excuse me. Excuse me. I've got to get through.

Guard: Whoa, whoa. Ticket and I.D.

Ridge: Sir, this is an emergency. I've got to stop someone from getting on a plane.

Guard: I'm very sorry, but without a ticket, you can't go to the gate.

Ridge: Look, I'll leave you my I.D. I'll give you my whole wallet. You can just keep my wallet until I get back. Or have somebody escort me there.

Guard #2: Is there a problem?

Guard: This man doesn't have a ticket.

Guard #2: Sir, if you don't clear this area immediately, I will call the airport police.

Ridge: Sir, it's an emergency, please.

Guard #2: Look, failure to comply with FAA security regulations can result in your arrest.

Ridge: All right, all right. All right, all right, all right, all right. Oh, man. Oh, man. I've got to get in there. I cannot let her get away.

[Thunder crashes]

announcer: Flight 650 to Copenhagen now boarding rows 45 to 60.

Announcer: Flight 650 now boarding rows 30 to 45 and all remaining passengers.

Ridge: Excuse me. Excuse me, it's very important. I need a plane ticket right now.

 Ticket agent: To where, sir?

 Ridge: To Copenhagen.

Ticket agent: That flight's already boarding. We have another flight tomorrow.

Ridge: Look, I need to get on that plane right now. I don't care how much it costs. Just get me on the next flight to Copenhagen. It's very important. Please. Now.

 Ticket agent: Okay.

 Ridge: I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Brooke: All right. That's enough. I don't want to hear one more word about you and me and what we used to be together, because it doesn't matter! Do you understand? My future is with Ridge.

Deacon: Your future? Brooke, this guy wants nothing to do with you.

Brooke: Ridge and I will come back from this stronger than ever.

Deacon: That kind of sounds like wishful thinking to me.

Brooke: Yes, it would, to a man who thinks the way to impress a woman is to crash through her life like a bull in a china shop. What Ridge and I have is deeper and more complex than anything you could ever imagine. It's a love that is timeless and completely unique. So whatever future you think you're going to have with hope and me, you can just forget it, because it's not going to happen. There is one man for me, Deacon. And I'm the only woman for him.

Stephanie: You might want to pour another one of those for yourself.

 Massimo: Stephanie.

Stephanie: And pour one for me, too.

Massimo: Need something to steady your nerves, huh?

Stephanie: I was actually thinking of something to celebrate with. Bridget is on her way to what I hope will be a wonderful year in Copenhagen.

[Thunder crashes]

Gate attendant: Good evening, Miss Forrester. Enjoy your flight.

 Bridget: Thank you.

Ridge: Excuse me, excuse me. Please let me through. Please.

Woman: Hey. Hey, there's a line here, buddy!

Ridge: I know. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm very late, and this is an emergency. Here's my ticket. My I.D.

Guard: International gate's down to the left.

Ridge: Thank you. Thank you. I apologize. Thank you. Thank you all!

Massimo: Did you see Bridget get on that plane?

Stephanie: I saw her through the security line on the way to the plane. She's gone, Mass. And I want you to leave her alone. I don't want you to call her. I don't want you to write to her. I don't want you to send her e-mails. And whatever idea that you had in your mind about Ridge and Bridget being together, I want you to put that out of your head right now.

Massimo: So that's it? You've outsmarted me.

Stephanie: This isn't about somebody outsmarting somebody. This is about avoiding a catastrophe. What were you thinking? You realize that you've used that girl? You've used her feelings to justify your own selfish needs? You've put that girl through hell in order for you to have an excuse. An excuse -- to tell Ridge that you're his father. You should be ashamed of yourself, Mass.

Massimo: I see. So putting Bridget on a plane to Europe is not manipulative at all, huh?

Stephanie: No, it's not manipulative at all. No. I'm protecting her. I'm protecting my family. I mean, if the truth had come out --

 Massimo: It's out.

 Stephanie: What?

 Massimo: I told Ridge everything.

 Stephanie: You told him what?

Massimo: I'm his father, and that Bridget is in love with him.

Stephanie: What have you done? What have you done, Mass?

Massimo: Please, please, please, Stephanie. You knew the time would come that this had to come out, and this was the time. This was the time that it could do someone some good, okay? Bridget loves Ridge. Now that he knows, he wants to stop her from running away from those feelings.

 Stephanie: Where is he?

Massimo: At the airport. And with any luck, he's at the gate, and he's gonna stop her from getting on that plane.

Ridge: I'm on the flight to Copenhagen.

Attendant: I'm sorry, sir. You're too late. That flight has already been cleared for takeoff.

Ridge: What? Well, is there another flight I can get on?

Attendant: There's nothing I can do. I'm sorry.
