Massimo: I wish you'd reconsider.

Ridge: Sorry, Massimo. But next time you see this ring, it's gonna be on Brooke's finger.

Massimo: Just don't expect me to smile at the wedding.

Ridge: That's okay. You've got a little time to adjust. I'm not intending to rush into anything. This is more of a commitment to commit.

Massimo: Yeah. Well, you say Brooke is on her way here now?

Ridge: Yeah. With Hope. I want the kids to be a part of this as well.

Massimo: Well, you certainly have a monumental evening in front of you. I guess I'd better get going. I have some business to take care of.

Ridge: You'll see, Massimo. Brooke is everything in a partner I would expect. And a whole lot more, actually.

Massimo: You may be right.

Ridge: You really mean that?

Massimo: Ridge, I'm a big believer in things turning out for the best. And I trust that'll happen tonight.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Amber: Hey, I thought you said you had a microbiology exam tomorrow.

Bridget: Yeah, molecular biology -- plus a quantum physics lab.

Amber: Ecch! You're giving me hives.

Bridget: Yeah, I'd probably be getting them, too, if I had a minute to think about it.

Amber: But being busy does have its advantages, doesn't it?

Bridget: It's keeping me sane right now. You look pretty busy yourself.

Amber: Yeah. Your mom and dad committed to another season of the ambrosia line.

Bridget: Amber, that's great.

Amber: Yeah, yeah. You know, the only problem is I just -- I can't get all my ideas down fast enough. You know -- and Rick even says I'm designing in my sleep. I mean, imagine -- there Rick is just getting ready to nod off, and then all of a sudden, I start babbling out colors and fabrics. God, he's just putting up with so much.

Bridget: I'm sure he's enjoying every minute of it. I mean, just to see you smile again --

Amber: Please, I'm like a goofy idiot.

Bridget: You look happy. After everything you've been through, there's no one I can think of who deserves it more.

Amber: Can you believe it? I mean, me without a worry in the world. I could get used to this!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ridge: Lookin' good, kiddo.

Thomas: I still don't understand why we have to get all dressed up.

Phoebe: Dad told you.

Steffy: It's a special occasion.

Ridge: They're right. Tonight we're celebrating Brooke's family and our family getting closer together.

Thomas: Like how close?

[Doorbell rings]

Steffy: They're here!

Phoebe: Yea!

Ridge: Hey!

Brooke: Hey.

Ridge: You guys look incredible.

Brooke: Thank you. I heard someone here was having a party.

Ridge: So you decided to put on some old clothes and crash it, huh?

Brooke: Aren't you even going to invite us in?

Ridge: Are you ready for the night of your life?

Brooke: Hope, look! It's Heidi Klum and Niki Taylor! And Thomas, you look great. You look so handsome. Thank you for dressing up for me.

Steffy: Can we do this whenever Brooke comes over?

Thomas: No way! Then I'd have to wear a stupid suit every day!

Brooke: Thomas is right. I am spending more time here now.

Ridge: And we've talked about her spending a lot more time.

Phoebe: Hope, too?

Ridge: What would you think of that?

Both: Awesome!

Steffy: Could we feed her and play with her and put make-up on her like you do with us?

Brooke: Well, maybe not the last one, but we can certainly have some fun. Right? So how about if we start right now? You want to help me change Hope's diaper?

Phoebe: Can we, Dad?

Steffy: Please.

Ridge: Oh, okay. Be my guest. Please.

Brooke: Come on. Let's go. Oh, it'll be so much fun.

Ridge: So what do you think?

Thomas: About what?

Ridge: Brooke and hope becoming more a part of our lives?

Thomas: It's okay, I guess. Does that mean Bridget isn't coming back?

Ridge: Well, Bridget's got a lot to deal with in her life right now. She wants to go to med school --

Thomas: But I miss her.

Ridge: I know you do. But you know she loves you very much. She's always gonna be around.

Thomas: Just not as much as Brooke.

Ridge: Probably not.

Thomas: Does that mean we have to put away all the pictures of mom?

Ridge: No. No, it doesn't. Brooke does not want to take your mother's place. No one can ever do that. Brooke just wants to be your friend. Listen, Thomas, Brooke and I aren't going to do anything that you're not ready for. Okay?

Thomas: Okay.

Ridge: All right? Things are gonna be all right. This is gonna be great, okay?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bridget: Amber, these are amazing! Almost makes me want to start modeling again.

Amber: Well, then, why don't you?

Bridget: Yeah, right. In my spare time.

Amber: You'd make a whole lot of guys very happy. See what I mean?

Bridget: Come on. They're/looking at you.

Amber: No, they're not.

Bridget: Huh? Hmm? What'd I tell you? All right, I'm gonna get going. I need to study.

Amber: Yeah, I gotta get out of here, too.

Bridget: Well, don't break too many hearts on your way. Bye.

Amber: Bye.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eric: Hi. I have a reservation for two -- Forrester. Just let me know when the other person gets here. Never mind. What are you doing in L.A.? I bought you ticket to New York City.

Deacon: You know, it's a funny thing about that flight. See, it had a layover in Kennedy on the way to
Honolulu via Los Angeles. I'll tell you something, Eric. For a split second, I thought about just going all the way to Hawaii. But I've never been much of a don ho fan.

Eric: What happened to staying away from Brooke?

Deacon: Oh, that's right. You did convince me to do that, didn't you? Yeah. Well, I've been a good boy -- so far.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brooke: Here you are.

Ridge: What happened to the kids?

Brooke: Catherine waylaid them. She took them upstairs to watch a video. Somehow, I get the feeling that she was trying to give us some time alone.

Ridge: Really?

Brooke: Yeah. You didn't have anything to do with that, did you?

Ridge: And what would give you that idea? I've wanted to do that all night.

Brooke: Isn't that a coincidence? So have I.

Ridge: There's something else I wanted to do, too.

[Brooke gasps]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eric: Don't be stupid, deacon. You stay away from Brooke!

Deacon: Oh, you mean now that she and Ridge are this close to making it legal?

Eric: Who told you that?

Deacon: It's amazing to me that that's what you would choose to focus on. She's about to marry a guy that's -- just some guy -- he's your son, for god's sake! He's gonna marry her. He's just gonna wind up dumping her?

Eric: You don't know that's gonna happen.

Deacon: Oh, come on! Brooke has been the Forrester punching bag for years. This time, she's going down for the count.

Eric: Or so your ego would have you believe.

Deacon: Oh, think this is about me being jealous? Yeah, you're damn right I am! Why not? The mother of my child is acting like a fool over some guy that she can't even be real with?!

Eric: There are no two people in the world, Deacon, who are more comfortable with one another than Ridge and Brooke.

Deacon: Really? Well, I -- I wonder how comfortable he'd be with her if he knew that she slept with her daughter's husband, Eric? What do you think?

[Cell phone rings] hold that thought, Eric. Yeah.

Massimo: Why aren't you here yet?

Deacon: Why don't you relax and have yourself a drink?

Massimo: He could have already given her the ring. She could walk out of here any minute!

Deacon: Look, I'm on top of it. All right? I'm not gonna let this get away from me. Well, as much as I'd love to debate the pitfalls of a marriage built on deceit, I've got things I gotta do.

Eric: You just keep your mouth shut about that baby!

Deacon: Whoa, Eric. Relax. I told you, you got nothing to worry about. All right? I'm sorry, old man. I'm done playing it your way. Now, it's my game.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brooke: I knew this evening was going to be a big deal, but I didn't expect -- Ridge, I got to hand it to you. After all these years, you still know how to surprise me.

Ridge: Yeah. Well, I'm pretty surprised myself. I really didn't expect to be doing this again.

Brooke: And I'm sure you didn't expect to be doing this with me, did you?

Ridge: It's like the song says, though -- unforgettable that's what you are

Ridge: I can't really give you a date just yet. It kind of depends on how the kids adjust to us. You know, how long it takes them to accept us moving onto the next step. But I do want to spend the rest of my life with you.

Like a song of love that clings to me how the thought of you does things to me

Ridge: Logan, you are without a doubt the most adorable, unforgettable, craziest woman I've ever known. And I am completely and hopelessly in love with you. It's not gonna be easy, you know. You've still got my mother and Massimo and all these people that think we're not right wrong for each other. We've gotta contend with them.

Ridge: But you and I know the truth, don't we?

That's how you'll stay that's why, darling it's incredible

Brooke: Oh, Ridge.

Ridge: Let's call this a pre-engagement ring. I just wanted something to show you that you are where my heart is. You are where my future is. So, what do you say, Logan? Are you with me on this?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jimmy: You're -- you're her, aren't you? Ambrosia.

Amber: Uh, yeah, I am.

Jimmy: Oh, man. I knew it. Oh, this is so awesome. When I think about the things that you've done --

Amber: You know my work?

Jimmy: Hottest stuff I've ever seen.

Amber: Well, thanks. I guess I'll never be confused with Ann Taylor, huh?

Jimmy: Yeah, or April Thaw.

Amber: Who?

Jimmy: You know, you would make my year if I could have your autograph.

Amber: Sure. I'm sure I have an extra piece of paper around here somewhere.

Jimmy: Oh, no, no. Actually, I was hoping you could sign this.

Amber: Oh, my god!

Jimmy: Yeah. That's what I said the first time I saw it -- "oh, my god!" Just make it out to Jimmy -- right here over the left cheek.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brooke: I've been committed to you since the day I met you. And I don't need a ring to tell me that. But there's no way on earth I'm going to turn that down!

Ridge: Maybe I should tell you a little something about it first. This ring was my great-grandmother's. My great-grandfather gave it to her on their 50th anniversary.

Brooke: 50 years?

Ridge: Oh, yeah. So you better take this seriously.

Brooke: Oh, yes, I do. I really do.

Ridge: We're gonna make it this time, Logan. Because there's no more pretense -- just two people completely honest with each other, sharing our hopes, our fears and our children. You and I are in this together now. Forever. So, just think of this ring as kind of a symbol --

Brooke: Oh, just shut up already and put it on my finger.

Ridge: I love you, Logan. And I am so proud to share my life with you.

Catherine: Just a second.

Deacon: Oh, hey, it's Cathy the babysitter.

Deacon: So is Ridge home?

Catherine: And why do you ask?

Deacon: Because I've got a message for him.

Catherine: Well, you know what? It's gonna have to wait until tomorrow.

Deacon: Oh, I think he's probably gonna want to hear this one right away. Trust me.

Massimo: Ridge. I'm doing this for you, my son -- god only knows. For you and my grandchildren.

Brooke: Oh, Ridge, I love it! And I love you! We're gonna be so happy together.

Ridge: I know, Logan. I know we are.

Brooke: Yes!

Deacon: Well, now, this is a beautiful moment. Isn't it? Guess it's just too bad it ain't gonna last.

Ridge: What the hell are you doing here?

Deacon: Believe it or not, Ridge, I'm here to do both of you a huge favor.

Brooke: Deacon, get out!

Deacon: Oh, I know what's going on. And I can't let this happen.

Ridge: You can't let it happen? What right do you have in Brooke's life at all?

[Talking over each other]

Deacon: No, I've got every right. Brooke, tell him. Tell him now.

Brooke: Just get out of here right now!

Deacon: I am doing this for you!

Ridge: Didn't you learn any lessons in Italy at all?

Deacon: This isn't gonna work. Don't you get it?! You're be living a lie here. It's gonna eat at you! Hell, it's gonna destroy you if he doesn't wind up doing it first.

Ridge: All right, that's enough!

Deacon: Okay, great.

Ridge: Come on.

Deacon: Look, he would hate you, Brooke, if he knew what was actually going on!

Brooke: Deacon, stop it!

Deacon: What kind of way is this to lead your life?! What the hell kind of example is it for our daughter?

Ridge: For your what ?

Deacon: Tell him, Brooke go on, tell him! You tell him who Hope's daddy is!
