[Knock at door]

[knock at door]

[Bridget groans]

Bridget: You again.

Massimo: Bridget, I just need a moment of your time.

Bridget: I know exactly what you're gonna say and I really don't feel like hearing it. You know, I have to study. I have a major exam.

Massimo: Hmm, advanced cellular biology? Well, well, well. You're studying genetics, eh?

Bridget: That's very cute. I know Ridge and I aren't related, Massimo. That's not the issue.

Massimo: Still fighting your feelings, huh?

Bridget: What about his feelings?

Massimo: Ridge cares for you, Bridget. There's no question about that.

Bridget: And he's in love with my mother.

Massimo: Oh, come on. Will you please? It's a distraction. It's a -- it's an old habit. You could bring so much more to that family.

Bridget: He wants a future with her.

Massimo: No, that's what Brooke wants. That's what she's always wanted. And let me tell you, it's not gonna happen.

Bridget: It's already happening, Massimo. I saw the ring.

Massimo: What ring?

Bridget: It's a family heirloom. He's gonna give it to her, Massimo. Ridge is gonna propose to my mother.

Eric: You're giving Brooke a ring?

Ridge: You think it's too soon?

Eric: Well, that's not for me to say.

Ridge: Well, I want you to say it, dad. That's why I came here.

Eric: Oh, so you're here for my blessing?

Ridge: I want Brooke to understand my intentions. And this ring represents my commitment to her.

Eric: An engagement?

Ridge: Eventually, yes. When the time is right. When the kids are ready to accept that transition. Until then, I'd like Brooke to know just how I feel about her.

Eric: Do you love her?

Ridge: Dad, I just told you that I want to make a future with this woman. What kind of question is that?

Eric: Well, as far as I'm concerned, it's the only question that matters.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lorenzo: Why did you let him go? It's only going to make things more complicated.

Thorne: For you, yeah. Because once Macy sees her brother, she's not gonna let him go. But you know that, don't you? Because she told you how close they were, huh?

Lorenzo: Yes, she loves her family very much. But her life is with me now.

Thorne: Hmm, well, I hope you plan to make your life here, because they're not gonna let her go. Losing Macy once almost killed this family. And now that she's back, everything's going to change. For everyone.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

C.J.: Macy? You're alive.

Macy: Yes.

C.J.: Oh my god. It really is you.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eric: Ridge, I told you in
Portofino, you have my support. I was just, uh -- I just wanted to know how you feel.

Ridge: The truth? I feel great. Brooke's made me feel better than I have any right to feel.

Eric: Everybody has the right to feel happy, son.

Ridge: Yeah, but a few months ago, I didn't think it was gonna be possible. And here I am. I know it's hard to believe. I even fought it, dad. Can you imagine? Fighting being happy? After everything I've been through? But I did. And then I remembered something Taylor said to me. And I realized how arrogant I was being.

Eric: Arrogant?

Ridge: Who am I to question what's in store for me?

Eric: You think you and Brooke have been brought back together by fate?

Ridge: It's like you said, it's not really what brought us back together that's important. It's -- it's the fact that we love each other. And we always have. Sometimes as friends, sometimes as lovers. But that connection has always been there.

Eric: You and Brooke have always had a unique relationship.

Ridge: It's different now.
Logan's grown up. I guess I have, too. We don't have the need to play those games anymore. You know, the thrill of the chase and all that. There's an honesty between us. There's no pretense. No secrets.

Eric: Well, everybody has secrets, Ridge.

Ridge: No, not us. Not us. Not with each other. When you've known someone as long and as well as we have, you can share everything with each other.

Eric: It's important to you, isn't it?

Ridge: It's everything, Dad. That is what our relationship is all about.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Massimo: Ridge is gonna propose?

Bridget: It looks that way.

Massimo: When?

Bridget: You're not gonna stop him, Massimo. He's made up his mind.

Massimo: Bridget, just tell me exactly what he told you.

Bridget: He's planning a dinner for tomorrow night. He wants to get the whole family together. Mom, hope and the kids. I don't know if he's gonna pop the question then, but I do know he wants to discuss it.

Massimo: With who? He certainly isn't gonna tell Thomas and the girls?

Bridget: If you want to know more, ask Ridge. All right? I'm out of this.

Massimo: Uh-huh. You're giving up on this family?

[Bridget scoffs]

Bridget: I'm facing reality. And you know what? Unless you want to completely alienate your son, you might want to do the same.

Massimo: No, that's not reality. You know what reality is? Ridge's relationship with your mother is pure fantasy. He doesn't even know who the hell she is.

Bridget: My mother is trying to start a new life.

Massimo: Uh-huh, I see. What about those poor kids? You're gonna stand by and watch her ruin their lives, just the way she's ruined yours?

Bridget: What happened to me is not relevant here.

Massimo: Come on. Brooke betrayed her own daughter. All right? Her own flesh and blood. And there isn't anything that's gonna stop her from doing that to those kids.

Bridget: You listen to me. My mother is not like that anymore. The problems we had are in the past. It is over, Massimo. And I'm never gonna talk about that. Neither are you.

Massimo: All right.

Bridget: I mean it.

Massimo: Hey, I give you my word. If Ridge learns about your mother's betrayal, he won't hear it from me.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brooke: Eric?

Eric: Yeah.

Brooke: Was that Ridge I saw just getting on the elevator?

Eric: Yeah, yeah, it was. Come in. He, uh -- he came to see me.

Brooke: Why?

Eric: That's what Iwant to talk to you about.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[C.J. Crying]

C.J.: I can't believe you're here. I don't know --

Macy: C.J., I've missed you. I've missed you so much.

C.J.: You have no idea. You have no idea. But what I don't understand --

Sally: I wanted to tell you, C.J. I was going to and then this happened.

Macy: It's okay, mother. I'll explain.

C.J.: No, no, no -- the car crash. The explosion.

Macy: The explosion threw me from the car.

C.J.: But Macy, I searched for you for days. We checked every hospital.

Macy: I crawled to a cabin. And that's where my father found me. He took me away with him.

C.J.: We thought you -- you let us think that you were dead.

Macy: I had to. To protect my father, C.J. From those men that have been after him. I -- I'm sorry.

C.J.: Well, where did you go?

Macy: I went to
Italy.

C.J.: And that's where you've been this whole time?

Macy: Yes.

Sally: I saw Macy for the first time in Italy.

Macy: I told her not to tell you, C.J., Because I knew you would try to find me. You have every right to be angry at me. I understand.

C.J.: Macy, I thought that you were dead. And you're not. You're not. You're here. And you're alive. I could never be mad at that. I'm so thankful. I love you so much.

Macy: I love you.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brooke: You want to talk to me about Ridge?

Eric: Yeah, he tells me that things have been going really well between the two of you since you got back from Portofino.

Brooke: We're getting closer.

Eric: And you and the children, too?

Brooke: Oh, they're warming up to me. Why do you ask?

Eric: Well, I was talking to Ridge and I just wanted to know what your take was on the situation.

Brooke: What situation? Is something wrong?

Eric: No. No, nothing's wrong. It's just -- Ridge has a great deal of faith in you.

Brooke: And that concerns you?

Eric: He believes there are no secrets between you.

Brooke: I see.

Eric: He thinks the relationship is based on complete honesty. And that's very, very important to him.

Brooke: Well, that's very, very important to me, too, Eric.

Eric: Brooke, I'm not questioning your integrity. I just -- I just wanted to know where things stand.

Brooke: With Ridge and me?

Eric: No, with Deacon. Has he contacted you at all?

Brooke: No. Eric --

[Brooke sighs]

Eric: I'm not coming down on you, Brooke.

Brooke: Look, I thought we agreed on this.

Eric: We do.

Brooke: You're the one who got rid of him.

Eric: Yes, and I hope he stays away. I hope to hell he stays away. And not just from you and Ridge, but from the children, as well.

Brooke: You don't need to remind me what's at stake here.

Eric: I just want you to know where Ridge is coming from. He and the children are working very hard to find some sense of security again and Ridge feels that he's found something very stable with you.

Brooke: Well, he has. Eric, don't worry. Nothing is going to throw Ridge and me off track.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Massimo: Mr. Sharpe.

Deacon: What the hell do you want, Marone?

Massimo: That's exactly what I came to ask you.

C.J.: I mean, after Becky died and then I lost you, I don't know -- I kind of went off the deep end. But, Macy, that doesn't matter. I want to hear about you.

Clark: Macy? Look who's up.

[Laughter]

Sally: Hello, Bucky.

Clark: Hi.

Darla: Oh my god, Macy. Oh my god.

Macy: I came as soon as I found out.

Darla: I knew you'd be here. I knew it. Oh, honey.

Clarke: So, Sally, how you feelin'?

Sally: Well, I'm felling much, much better. Now that I have all the people I love around me.

Lorenzo: Excuse me. I don't mean to interrupt.

Macy: Oh, Lorenzo, no, you're not interrupting.

Lorenzo: Your mother is okay?

Macy: Yes.

Lorenzo: Oh, this is very good news.

Macy: And I'm about to give everybody some more. Uh, this is Lorenzo Barelli. My husband.

C.J.: You're married?

Darla: Oh, my gosh. You're Mrs. Macy Barelli.

Sally: Oh, Macy. You should have told me.

Macy: Well, it just sort of happened. And I would have loved for you all to have been there. The ceremony was beautiful, wasn't it?

Lorenzo: It's a pleasure to meet you, ms. Spectra.

Sally: Call me Sally.

C.J.: Congratulations, Macy.

[Macy laughing] I'm so happy for you.

Clarke: Well, Sally, looks like the Spectra clan is back together again.

Sally: Yes. And that's exactly how it's going to stay.

C.J.: Welcome to the family, Lorenzo.

Darla: Yeah.

Thorne: I better go tell the doctor that Sally's awake.

Macy: Thanks, Thorne.

Thorne: I'm glad that she's okay.

Clarke: Sally?

Sally: Hmm?

Clarke: Hang in there, okay? We're gonna see ya through this. Your family's back and we're gonna be better and stronger than ever before.

C.J.: You got that right.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eric: Now, Brooke, I don't want you to misunderstand. I didn't bring this up to upset you. It's just that I'm concerned.

Brooke: About Ridge?

Eric: Yes, about Ridge. And about the children. And I'm concerned about you.

Brooke: But you're really concerned about deacon.

Eric: Yeah. I think I got through to him. But he's never been a man of his word.

Brooke: Well, Eric, you can bank on my word. I made a promise to my daughters. I am never going to bring scandal into their lives ever again. And I do want to be honest with Ridge. I am going to tell him everything.

Eric: Look, Brooke, I don't think you should tell Ridge. Not any time soon. Look, you have worked so hard on putting all this behind you. And on repairing the relationship with Bridget and becoming the woman you are and -- the kind of woman that Ridge can trust and respect. Now, if he were to find out what you did, well, he won't. Not now. He just can't.

Deacon: All right, you're gonna have to -- you're gonna have to cut me a little slack here. I'm not exactly firing on all pistons. You came down here to ask me what I want?

Massimo: Do you want a future with Brooke?

Deacon: I get it. Are you my new fairy godmother?

Massimo: Unfortunately, no. I'm the bearer of bad news.

Deacon: Oh, go 'head. Make yourself at home.

Massimo: Brooke is not coming back to you, deacon. Eric Forrester lied. Just the way I told you. She's not gonna have her feelings hurt. She's not gonna lose interest in Ridge. She's not gonna have her heart broken. She's gonna marry him.

Deacon: What?

Massimo: Mm-hmm. He's got a ring. And he's going to propose.

Deacon: No, that's -- come on, it's too soon.

Massimo: But it's not too late. And you've got the power, okay? To stop it. Because the two of you are tied forever. Since she is the mother of your child. Whether she wants to admit it or not.

Deacon: You know, you don't listen too good, do you? I told you I don't want to discuss this.

Massimo: Oh, I see. You don't want to claim your daughter for fear of losing Brooke, huh? My dear friend, that if you don't act, you're gonna lose her anyway. Okay? Don't you get it? If you just sit there, you're gonna let everything just slip through your fingers. Look, if you want a future with Brooke, you are gonna have to destroy her relationship with Ridge. And you've got the power to do it. You've got to strike now. Deacon, strike now.
