Brooke: I was surprised when Megan told me you were here, honey. I thought you had class this afternoon.

Bridget: No, not for another couple hours.

Brooke: So you decided to hang out and goof off with your mom instead of hitting the books?

Bridget: No, mom, actually, I don't bag on my responsibilities like you do.

Brooke: What is that supposed to mean?

Bridget: Well, you weren't exactly looking out for the company yesterday when you went skiing in Big Bear.

Brooke: I didn't leave anybody in the lurch.

Bridget: Didn't you?

Brooke: No, I didn't. I checked my calendar, and everything was fine. Everything was under control here.

Bridget: Yeah, until you dragged Ridge off and disrupted everyone else's life -- including mine.

Brooke: Honey, I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to inconvenience you.

Bridget: Inconvenience me? You put me in an impossible position, and it's got to stop.

Ridge: Zabrovich says he'll broker the deal to get us access to that port, but he wants a cut in return.

Massimo: As if I'm making a dime on this thing. Ah, haven't touched your lunch, I see.

Ridge: Yeah, the way this day is going, that might wind up being dinner.

Massimo: Well, perhaps spending a little less time on the slopes and a bit more on business might ease the crunch.

Ridge: I see mother's been playing town crier again.

Massimo: Actually, Bridget told me about your little trip.

Ridge: Bridget? Really?

Massimo: Mm-hmm. See, I came by the house last night, right, because I thought I would make you a little pasta after spending a hard day at the office. But instead of finding a harried, overworked employee, what I found was Bridget looking after the children so you could go play hooky.

Ridge: I took a day off. Maybe that's not what you do around here at Marone's --

Massimo: Ridge, it's perfectly all right. You want to take some time, I don't give a damn, all right? You take whatever time you need. All right? You need a week, you need a month, whatever you want. If it's gonna help you get yourself together. Just as long as it is not with Brooke!

C.J.: So that's all you can tell me? No, no, no. Thank you. Just please tell him that we're still waiting. I don't believe this. I don't believe this. Dr. Cooper is still in surgery, and Maclaine hasn't even shown up for work yet. Why isn't there somebody here to give us some straight answers? Huh? I mean, did the angioplasty work? And why is she still sedated? She should be awake by now!

Thorne: So she doesn't get stressed from listening to all this. That's why.

C.J.: Hey, where do you get off opening your mouth at all? She is in there because of you!

Thorne: C.J., You don't know what the hell you're talking about.

C.J.: Oh, don't I? Deny it all you want, but my sister is dead because of you, and now my mother isn't far behind.

Clarke: C.J. C.J. C.J. Will you listen to me? Listen to me! You are not doing your mother any good by acting like this. Now, she's in there, and she needs her sleep. And she's gonna sleep a while longer. Why don't you go home --

C.J.: No, no, no.

Clarke: Clean up.

C.J.: I am not going anywhere. I'm staying right here until she wakes up.

Clarke: C.J., Go home.

C.J.: Okay, fine. But if you hear anything, or anything happens --

Clarke: I will call you. Sorry about that.

Thorne: Don't worry about it. It's all right.

Clarke: It'd make things a lot easier if C.J. Could know that Macy was alive.

Thorne: Sally knows Macy's alive. Didn't do her much good, did it?

Macy: Are you out of your mind? I can't believe --

Lorenzo: You said you wanted to be carried over the threshold, Signora Barelli.

Adam: Macy -- Macy, I need to talk to you. Something's happened.

Macy: What? What is it?

Lorenzo: Have those men found our place?

Adam: No, this is about Macy's mother.

Macy: Mom?

Adam: I'm sorry, sweetheart.

Macy: A heart attack?

Adam: Apparently, it's very serious.

Macy: Oh, my god.

Lorenzo: But this news is old already. By now, your mother could be out of danger.

Macy: Or she could be --

Lorenzo: She's not.

Macy: How do you know that?

Lorenzo: Didn't you tell me she was a fighter? A survivor?

Macy: Yes, but --

Adam: Sally's never met a challenge she couldn't plow right through. The woman's a human hurricane, am I right?

Lorenzo: And now that she knows you're alive, I'm sure she has more incentive than ever to beat this.

Macy: Maybe.

Adam: Maybe, nothin'. Sally would move heaven and earth to be with you.

Macy: That's just it. She tried, but I turned my back on her. She begged me to go back to Los Angeles with her, and what did I do? I left her. No good-bye, no way for her to get in touch with me. I broke her heart.

Lorenzo: This isn't your fault, Macy.

Adam: Of course it's not.

Lorenzo: What're you doing?

Macy: I'm calling the hospital.

Lorenzo: Macy, no. You can't. Your father, they could trace him.

Macy: Well, what am I supposed to do? Wait for the next newspaper? Search through the channels, hoping to find some mention of my mother? I have to know what's going on!

Lorenzo: There is only one way to do that. We have to go to Los Angeles.

Ridge: Massimo, I'm absolutely amazed a guy like you has time to sit around and worry about me and Brooke. Don't you have any world leaders to meet with? Any countries to save?

Massimo: I happen to care for you, Ridge. You mean more to me than --

ridge: Oh, please. I'm a paycheck. One of thousands for you. Why don't you find another employee to put under the microscope for a while, huh?

Massimo: I made you my heir for a reason.

Ridge: Because I have a good mind for business. Not because you enjoy me, or admire me personally.

Massimo: Don't be too sure, huh? You had the perfect combination of brains and heart. Exactly the kind of man that I want at the helm. But now --

Ridge: Now I'm corrupted, huh? My character's ruined, huh? All because I want to spend a little time with a good friend?

Massimo: Oh, yes. A good friend who all but -- what? Within three months, got a man who lost his wife into bed?

Ridge: Oh, "Massimo the magnificent," huh? The great mind reader. Well, I've got news for you, my friend. Brooke and I didn't sleep together.

Massimo: Oh? What happened? She get tired of you already, and go boff another Forrester?

Brooke: Sweetheart, we were only gone for one night.

Bridget: A night I was supposed to spend with C.J.

Brooke: Was he upset?

Bridget: No. He understood.

Brooke: Okay, so what's the matter?

Bridget: You know what? Maybe I missed being with him. Did you ever think of that? Maybe I missed sleeping in my own bed. Or maybe I just couldn't stand the look on my nephew and nieces' faces when their father told them he wasn't coming home.

Brooke: I'm sorry, honey. That must've been really hard on you.

Bridget: Oh, no. No, no, no. If you had any idea how hard that was, you would've done everything you could to get back home.

Brooke: We were snowed in. The roads were closed.

Bridget: You're the CEO of an international company, mom. You mean to tell me when it first started snowing, you didn't think to yourself, "Well, maybe we should get on the road while we still can?"

Brooke: We were having fun. We just didn't notice. Now, is that so terrible?

Bridget: When Ridge's kids had to spend their first night without their mother or their father? Do you have any idea how terrifying that was for them? And all of this, why? Because you couldn't wait to get Ridge back in bed, huh?

Brooke: You think that's what this is about? I took him all the way up there so I could sleep with him?

Bridget: Come on, mom, this is me.

Brooke: Well, it's not true, Bridget. You know it's not!

Bridget: You know, I defended you to everyone, did you know that? I told them all you wanted was to help Ridge through his wife's death. And then when you two started getting closer, I stuck up for you again. "Well, so what if my mom has feelings for Ridge? She's really being grown-up about it this time." What a load of bull! Congratulations, mom. You pulled one over on me again.

Massimo: If you're gonna do something, do it already, huh? Because you're ruining a $3,600 suit here.

Ridge: Massimo, I know you think you're looking out for my best interests, but I don't need another therapist, all right? I don't need another advisor, and I don't need another father. I'm gonna live my life the way i damn well want to live it.

Massimo: And the rest of the world be damned, is that it?

Ridge: Just leave it alone, all right?

Massimo: I'm afraid I can't do that, Ridge.

Ridge: Then you're gonna loose me.

Massimo: I'm just gonna have to take that chance.

Ridge: Don't waste your time. Because there's nothing you do, nothing you can say, that's gonna change my mind about Brooke. You got that?

Massimo: Have you found him? Good. Very good.

Brooke: Would it make any difference if I told you that ridge and i didn't make love, and that Iím the one that turned him down? Come on, Bridget. I want to be grown-up about this, and I want to do it right this time. And when ridge and I are together --

Bridget: "When?"

Brooke: Well, I think it will happen eventually.

Bridget: What, marriage?

Brooke: Ridge and I are good for each other, and I know he wants a mother for his children. And the kids are warming up to me.

Bridget: Phoebe and Steffy maybe.

Brooke: And Thomas. He gave me a hug or two. Look Bridget, I know I must have miscalculated this situation, but I certainly didn't manipulate it. And as far as upending your life, Ridge and I won't have you watch the kids anymore, because I'll be there to do that.

Bridget: Sounds like you've got it all figured out.

Brooke: Does that bother you?

Bridget: No. No, why would you think that?

Brooke: Well, it was just the way that you said it.

Bridget: Look, if -- as long as you and Ridge are being smart about this, I'm fine with it.

Brooke: So you're done being the overprotective nanny?

Bridget: So done, you have no idea.

[Heart monitor beeping]

Mark: Hey, dad.

Clarke: Hi.

Mark: Thorne.

Thorne: Hey, Mark.

Clarke: Mark, did you talk to dr. Cooper? What did you find out?

Mark: Well, we got the results back from Sally's echocardiogram.

Clarke: And?

Mark: There was a significant amount of strain to the muscle.

Thorne: So what are her chances?

Mark: Well, right now her heart is working overtime to pump the blood, and that can cause some complications. Irregular heartbeat, cardiac failure.

Clarke: What are you saying?

Mark: I'm saying she has to fight like hell right now to hold on.

Thorne: If only she had a reason to.

Macy: I can't go home. The minute I get back on a plane to Los Angeles, my life with you is over, Dad. Those men will be watching me, waiting for me to lead them to you.

Lorenzo: So what's the alternative? To stay here and drive yourself crazy worrying about your mother, wondering if that one visit from you would've turned the corner for her? You think I like the idea of going to the states, knowing all you'll have to face there? But there is no choice.

Adam: He's right, honey. You have to go.

Macy: But, dad --

Adam: Sally needs you.

Macy: So do you!

Adam: Oh, honey. I've had you for two and a half years. That's a lifetime to someone like me.

Macy: Not for me.

Adam: All right, listen. I've made mistakes, and I have to pay for them. That doesn't mean Sally has to pay for them, too. Now you don't worry about me. I'll be fine. You just -- you go to her. She's waiting for you.

Lorenzo: Adam, thank you for everything.

Adam: You take good care of her, Lorenzo.

Lorenzo: You know I will.

Macy: Promise me you'll be careful.

Adam: I always am.

Macy: I love you.

Adam: I love you, too. Always.

Macy: Good-bye.

Adam: No, shh. You never know. Now, you better go. You'll miss your plane.

[Adam sobbing] Macy.

Brooke: Well, isn't this a nice surprise? So does this mean you're coming back to work at Forrester?

Ridge: After today, I just might consider it.

Brooke: Why, what happened?

Ridge: Oh, Massimo and I got into it.

Brooke: Oh, let me guess. It's about our trip to Big Bear.

Ridge: I'm telling you, Logan, that guy is really starting to drive me crazy.

Brooke: Well, as long as he doesn't turn you against me.

Ridge: You've got to know that's not possible.

Massimo: Pitiful.

Deacon: Least I'm drinkin' the good stuff.

Massimo: How long do you think that's gonna last? You know, Deacon, there are winners in this life, and there are losers. You, my putrid friend, are a member of the latter category.

Deacon: Why don't you tell me what the hell you're doing here, then?

Massimo: Maybe I think it's time for your luck to change.
