Riccardo: And now, the moment we have all been waiting for. Rebecca, would you like to do the honors?

Rebecca: Grazie, Riccardo. It was a difficult decision, but we have chosen a champion, the man who will claim the Forrester trophy. And the winner is --

Ridge: Excuse me, Rebecca.

[Crowd whispering]

                        ******************************************************************************************

Lorenzo: Please, we have to go. Your father is waiting for us. All the arrangements have been made.

Macy: But the restaurant, your life in Camogli -- you're willing to give all of that up for me?

Lorenzo: I told you. Nothing in this world is more important to me than you. Can he say that? What has this man ever sacrificed for you? When has he ever put your well-being first? He had his chance, and he failed you. You don't need him. But your father and I -- we need you.

            *************************************************************************************************

Ridge: I think it's pretty obvious who the winner is here. It's me.

[Crowd whispering]

Massimo: What, has he lost his mind?

Sally: What the hell does he think he's doing?

Ridge: That's right, I won. I triumphed. But not over my father. I triumphed because of him.

[Light applause]Ridge: The last few months have been the most difficult of my life. And I could have easily gotten swallowed up in my depression, but my father wouldn't let that happen. He challenged me to a duel. He stayed with me, and egged me on the whole way up until this moment right here. And this moment, I don't think it really matters what that decision is. Because I have won. I've won because this man is my father. And I wouldn't be up here if it weren't for him. Dad, you posed this competition to see who was the best designer of the two of us. Well, I think you should be honored for more than just the beauty of your designs. I think you should be honored for your spirit, for your ideals. And for the depth of your love. You are an amazing, talented designer. You're a wonderful father. And you're one hell of a man. To this man who's taught me everything I know, my dad and your victor, Eric Forrester.

[Applause]

                        ******************************************************************************************

Thorne: Macy, I can't deny what Lorenzo said. But all I want is a chance. I want a chance to show you how devoted I can be to you.

Lorenzo: You don't know the meaning of the word!

Macy: Okay, now that's enough, both of you! Let's not make this any harder than it already is.

Thorne: Look, I don't want to fight with you, Lorenzo, okay? I'm sure you're a very good man, and you obviously care very deeply about her. But this is about you and me, and this is about the life that we could have had, the life we should've had. The life I know you want.

Lorenzo: Is this true?

Macy: Daddy?

Adam: Macy, I want you to get in the car. You've said your good-byes. We have to leave now.

                        *************************************************************************************

[Speaking in Italian]

Clarke: Ms. Spectra has no comment. No commento. Gee.

Sally: Well, you've got that right, Bucky. Ms. Spectra has no comment, because for one of the few times in her life, Ms. Spectra is speechless. I don't know what to say, because I cannot believe what just happened!

Darla: Well, Ridge threw in the towel. That's what just happened.

Sally: Yes, dear. He threw in the towel. We came all the way to Italy for a moment of truth and a moment of triumph, and he turned it into a Forrester family love fest! I swear, I don't know what got into that man.

                        ***************************************************************************************

[Speaking in Italian]

Ridge: No more pictures. No, sorry.

Brooke: Goodness.

Ridge: God's sakes. Are you in one piece here?

Brooke: Oh, I think so. Oh.

Ridge: You did cause quite a stir today, I must say. When everyone turned around and saw you on that boat, it was amazing. You were the most beautiful thing. I couldn't keep my eyes off you.

Brooke: Thank you. And what about you? Your speech. That was incredible.

Ridge: Oh, well, I -- you know, I just had to do something extraordinary to steal the spotlight from you.

Brooke: Oh, so you were just trying to grab the media attention?

Ridge: I'm trying to give you a compliment, Logan.

Brooke: Thanks.

Ridge: Yeah, sure.

Brooke: But I think your father deserves the real credit.

Ridge: Absolutely. 'Cause I can't think of a better model he could've picked for this dress.

Brooke: And your showstopper was exquisite, too. So were all of your designs.

Ridge: Oh, yeah. Yeah. I'm sure you want to get out of this now. I've got to go check on the kids.

Brooke: Mm-hmm.

Ridge: Do you want me to help you unzip this before I go?

Brooke: Okay.

Ridge: Yeah?

Brooke: Sure.

Ridge: Okay. See if I can remember how to do this. Hmm, I do. Mm.

Brooke: Thanks.

Ridge: Okay, you're welcome. Gotta go check on the kids.

Brooke: Right.

Ridge: Yeah.

Brooke: Ridge?

Ridge: Yes?

Brooke: You were amazing today.

                        **************************************************************************************

Sally: You know what I think we should do?

Clarke: What?

Sally: I think we should contact the mayor of Portofino and all of the other officials and demand an investigation into this outrage! I think we should secure all the ballots, we should interview all of the other judges and demand justice. We're entitled to it! We are also entitled to enjoy our victory!

Clarke: Sally, I think you're missing the point here. Okay? Ridge's little stunt is giving us much more media coverage than we could've ever dreamed of. He took what was just a fashion show and turned it into an international human interest story.

Sally: You're missing the point, Bucky. This wasn't just a little fashion show. This was a battle between giants. This was the Portofino challenge, and we won it fair and square. We're entitled to enjoy the fruits of our victory! I have worked too hard and too long to leave Italy empty-handed.

                        *******************************************************************************************

Adam: Macy, we have to leave now. It's not safe for us here.

Thorne: She doesn't have to leave, Adam.

Adam: Yes, she does.

Thorne: She is not in any danger, and I will protect her.

Adam: Like you protected her before? From your infidelity? From Brooke?

Macy: Daddy, don't.

Adam: We're leaving, Thorne. And if you try to follow us, or try to find Macy after we're gone, you'll be putting her life and the life of everyone she loves at risk. You almost destroyed this family once before. If you care for her at all, you won't do it again.

Thorne: Macy, don't give up on us. Give us a chance.

Macy: I can't, Thorne. My father is right. I have to go.

Thorne: Only if you want to, Macy.

Macy: I have to go.

Lorenzo: The car is outside.

Macy: Oh. Tell my mother I love her.

                        *****************************************************************************************

[Pounding at the door]

Ridge: Logan!

[Speaking in Italian]

Brooke: Ridge?

[Speaking in Italian]

Ridge: Thank god!

Brooke: What happened? Where are the kids?

Ridge: They must be with Bridget somewhere. Man, those reporters just come out of nowhere like a swarm of killer bees.

Brooke: Well, you're safe now.

Ridge: Well, I'm not so sure of that. Hmm.

Brooke: Would you like to call down and get yourself another key?

Ridge: Not quite yet, no.

Brooke: Oh, so what did you have in mind?

Ridge: Well, it is our last day in Portofino.

[Bell ringing]

Massimo: My dear father. I have failed you. I brought my son here to Portofino, to our home. But I couldn't bring him here to you. Because he doesn't know who I am.

Brooke: This whole trip has been so incredible.

Ridge: In so many ways.

Brooke: I can't believe it's almost over.

Ridge: We had fun, didn't we?

Brooke: Yeah, we had a great time. It was almost like something out of a dream -- this little town, the contest, reconnecting with you. I'm not really looking forward to going home.

Ridge: Well, if it makes you feel any better, I could steal you a couple of towels, maybe.

Brooke: Oh, you! You, you -- go, go, go.

Ridge: Or something else, or --

Brooke: Go do something useful. You've got to get out of here. Go find your kids.

Ridge: Okay. I'll see you later?

Brooke: Oh, absolutely.

Ridge: Okay.

Brooke: I love you, Ridge Forrester.

                        ********************************************************************************************

Massimo: My son. Yes, father, I have a son. But I cannot claim him -- because he doesn't know who he is. And our name, our proud family name, will die with me. Our line will end here with us, in the Marone graveyard. It shouldn't be like this, father. I've given you a grandson, and he has given me grandchildren of my own. But they're being raised with another family, with another name. And today, I had to stand by while my son Ridge honored a man that he believes to be his father -- a man that I cannot respect, a man that I despise. Our family, Ridge's true family, that tamed the Mediterranean from Genoa to Sicily -- brought commerce to all these cities. Well, I turned your business into a global empire. Today, my son honored a dressmaker. I will not let our name end here -- no, father. No, no, no. I will not fail my family. But he is my son. My son. And he is going to continue our legacy, father. Yes. Oh, god. God. Only god knows how I'm going to keep this secret.
