Rick: Come on, Amber. Stop. I'm supposed to be working.

Amber: Oh, come on. Your mom and Thorne used to make out in here all the time.

Rick: Yeah, but I'm not the CEO.

Amber: Not yet.

Rick: I've still got a lot of learning to do before I'll be ready for that.

Amber: Yeah? Well, you still look pretty good behind that desk.

Rick: You think so?

Amber: Oh, yeah.

Rick: Maybe someday.

Amber: What do you mean, "maybe"?

Rick: Well, Ridge is running the company now, and he's doing a good job. The family's lucky to have him.

*******************************************************

Thorne: So how does it feel, big brother, huh?

Ridge: It feels incredible.

Thorne: CEO of Forrester Creations. Man, you've waited a long time for this.

Ridge: I have to keep reminding myself that it's true.

Thorne: You nervous?

Ridge: Are you kidding? I've been training for this my whole life.

Thorne: Well, you certainly jumped right into it. You know, people are already starting to talk.

Ridge: About what?

Thorne: The bedroom line. You know, Ridge, maybe you should have held off on that.

Ridge: It was the right thing to do, Thorne.

Thorne: Well, maybe so, but cutting a line your first week on the job? You know, a change like that could make buyers nervous, Ridge.

Ridge: But they're not.

Thorne: Really?

Ridge: I've been on the phone all morning. Our established clients are thrilled. Look at these. You know what these are? New orders. Haute couture, Thorne. Forrester's lifeblood. Look at the first name. You recognize that?

Thorne: My god. He hasn't called us in years.

Ridge: His wife found out we dumped the bedroom line. She wants a whole new wardrobe now. She's not the only one, either. I imagine that most of our clients that we lost when the bedroom line took off are going to come back, and so will we.

Thorne: Okay. Well, what about Brooke? What happens when she comes back, Ridge? I mean, this was her line. She's going to be pretty upset when she finds out that you just -- poof -- dropped it.

Ridge: Maybe she will. But she put me in charge, and I've made my decision. Besides, I think Brooke's got a lot more on her mind right now than what's happening with her lingerie line.

************************************************************************************

Deacon: Hey, Megan.

Megan: If you're here to see Bridget, she's not here.

Deacon: I know. Actually, I came to talk to you.

Megan: You came to talk to me?

Deacon: Yeah. Hey, let me ask you something. You and Brooke, you're pretty good friends, right?

Megan: Yeah, we're friends.

Deacon: Have you talked to her?

Megan: Why do you want to know?

Deacon: Come on. She's my mother-in-law. I'm concerned about her.

Megan: Okay. Well, she's fine.

Deacon: So you have talked to her?

Megan: Look, Deacon, she doesn't want to see anybody, okay? Especially you.

Deacon: I knew it. Something's wrong, Megan, isn't it? Something is very, very wrong, and you're going to tell me what it is.

****************************************************************************

[ Knock at door ]

Brooke: Oh, god. What's wrong with me? I've got to stop thinking about him. Hello?

Dr. Isabel: Ms. Logan? I'm Dr. Isabel. Susan said that you asked if I could be of assistance to you.

Brooke: Oh, yes. Please, come in. I'm sorry to bother you. I know you're a guest here.

Dr. Isabel: It's no bother. I can't seem to say no to anyone who needs help. It's in my nature.

Brooke: Susan told me that you do a radio show.

Dr. Isabel: Yes. I am the Latina version of the Dr. Brothers. I specialize in broken hearts and broken promises.

Brooke: Oh. Then you came to the right place. Why don't we have a seat?

Dr. Isabel: Have you ever been in therapy before?

Brooke: Yes, but I'm really not very comfortable with it.

Dr. Isabel: Well, that's understandable. Telling your problems to a stranger can be a bit disconcerting at first.

Brooke: Well, it's more than that. It's whatever I would have to say to you, it's very confidential. It could never leave this room.

Dr. Isabel: Well, that's totally understood, doctor-patient confidentiality, and we're not on the radio here.

Brooke: Well, I am feeling pretty desperate.

Dr. Isabel: If you'll let me, I can help you.

Brooke: I hope so, Dr. Isabel. I really hope so.

Megan: There's nothing wrong with Brooke.

**********************************************************************

Deacon: What, so that's why she just dumped the company on Ridge and took off? Come on, Megan. You can do better than that.

Megan: She needed a break, Deacon, okay? She's been under a lot of stress lately.

Deacon: Hey, look, we're not talking about some little three-day vacation here. Something is going on, and I want to know what it is.

Megan: Because she's your mother-in-law?

Deacon: No. No, because I care.

Megan: Well, you didn't care enough to leave her daughter, now did you?

Deacon: You know, I don't think I have to stand here and justify myself to you.

Megan: Deacon, I know, okay? I know about you and Brooke.

Deacon: She told you? Who else knows?

Megan: Nobody.

Deacon: And that's why she left town?

Megan: Would it matter?

Deacon: Look, I don't know what Brooke told you, but I didn't mean for this to happen.

Megan: But it did, Deacon, okay? It did, and you know what? You can't forget about it, can you? You're still attracted to her. I mean, that's why you're here, Deacon, right? That's why you're so concerned about her. Don't even bother to deny it, deacon. I know the effect Brooke has on men. You can't stop thinking about her. No, you want to believe it was a fluke, just a meaningless fling, but it wasn't, was it? It's true, isn't it? You still have feelings for Brooke.

********************************************************************************

Dr. Isabel: Of course, I know who you are and what you do. What else would you like to tell me?

Brooke: About what?

Dr. Isabel: Yourself, your life, your family. Tell me, why are you here?

Brooke: I just needed to get away.

Dr. Isabel: From what?

Brooke: From these dreams that I've been having, these nightmares.

Dr. Isabel: Every night?

Brooke: Well, they're during the day, too. Actually, they're not really dreams. They're -- they're memories.

Dr. Isabel: Of what?

Brooke: Of this man and I together.

Dr. Isabel: So you're remembering an actual experience?

Brooke: Yes.

Dr. Isabel: A sexual experience?

Brooke: Something that I really want to get out of my head. And I've been trying to forget it, and I can't.

Dr. Isabel: Why not? Is this an unpleasant memory?

Brooke: No -- yes. I don't know. I really thought I could trust him, and the chemistry that we shared, it was just so unexpected and so powerful. I don't know what I was thinking. We were both in just such a bad place in our lives, and it felt right, but it wasn't. It wasn't right, and it shouldn't have happened.

Dr. Isabel: So you regret it. Why?

Brooke: Because -- I'm pregnant.

Dr. Isabel: And this is a problem?

Brooke: Yes! It's a catastrophe.

Dr. Isabel: You don't have a relationship with this man?

Brooke: No, no. I never will. I can't.

Dr. Isabel: Why not?

Brooke: Because, doctor, I hate him. I really hate him!

******************************************************************************

Amber: Wait a minute. What do you mean you think Ridge is good for the company? I thought you were upset with him.

Rick: No.

Amber: What about the bed incident?

Rick: Well, as you can see, it's back in here, and that wasn't Ridge's fault. It was Stephanie's and Taylor's.

Amber: So that's it? Case closed.

Rick: I made my point. This is still mom's company, and nobody's going to make any changes while she is gone.

Amber: But she made Ridge the CEO.

Rick: That's right, and she did it for a good reason. Ridge knows exactly how she wants this company run, and he's not going to let anybody mess with it while she's gone.

Bridget: Hey. I'm glad you're still here.

Rick: Why? What's up?

Bridget: I just heard something really weird.

Rick: What?

Bridget: It's about Ridge. Did you know he pulled the bedroom line?

*************************************************************************************************************

Ridge: It was a risk, Thorne, dropping a lucrative line like that, but I think it's going to be worth it.

[ Phone rings ] okay. Hello. Princess Charlotte, what a surprise.

Charlotte: Ridge Forrester. It has been such a long time.

Ridge: Far too long, princess -- far too long. What do I owe the honor of this call?

Charlotte: I just spoke with Contessa Mantazi. I understand you've dropped that awful lingerie line.

Ridge: Yes, we did. We dropped it completely.

Charlotte: Excellent news.

Ridge: Oh, you approve?

Charlotte: Oh, I do!

Ridge: Can I assume you're calling to make a purchase?

Charlotte: Yes, you may. I'm coming into town next month. I would love to set up a fitting.

Ridge: Wonderful. Just have your assistant call Megan, and she'll arrange everything. It will be painless.

Charlotte: Great. It's such a pleasure to talk to you again, Ridge.

Ridge: Please. The pleasure's all mine, your highness.

Charlotte: I have missed doing business with you. You Forrester men really know how to treat a lady. Enchante.

Ridge: Bye-bye.

Thorne: Princess Charlotte wants a fitting?

Ridge: What did I tell you, Thorne? Dropping this bedroom line is going to be the best thing we ever did.

****************************************************************************

Megan: Admit it, Deacon. You still have feelings for Brooke.

Deacon: I'm worried about her, all right?

Megan: Come on, Deacon. It's more than that. The time you shared with Brooke, it had an effect on you. It had an effect on her, too.

Deacon: Oh, yeah. It had a hell of an affect on her, didn't it? She hates me.

Megan: Does that bother you?

Deacon: Yeah, Megan. It bothers me. It doesn't make any sense to me. I don't --

Megan: Deacon, look, you and Brooke made a powerful connection. You didn't expect it to happen, and maybe it shouldn't have.

Deacon: Yeah, we connected. We shared something in the heat of the moment. Nothing came of it.

Megan: Nothing came of it?

Deacon: No. What?

Megan: Whatever.

Deacon: What?!

Megan: Never mind.

Deacon: Wait, Megan. Please. Is there something I need to know here?

Megan: No.

Deacon: Okay. Fine. Thanks.

Megan: Deacon, where are you going?

Deacon: To get answers.

Megan: Deacon, she doesn't want to see you!

*****************************************************************************************

Brooke: I'm sorry, doctor. This really isn't very easy for me to talk about.

Dr. Isabel: Maybe we should stop now. I can always come back tomorrow.

Brooke: Hmm.

Dr. Isabel: One more question. May I?

Brooke: Sure.

Dr. Isabel: This pregnancy is causing you terrible stress. Is the father equally upset?

Brooke: Well, he doesn't know about it. Nobody can ever know.

Dr. Isabel: As I told you, everything you say to me is strictly confidential.

Brooke: Thank you.

Dr. Isabel: Brooke, do you mind if I make an observation? You have very strong feelings for this man, your baby's father, but maybe what you're feeling for him isn't hate at all.

*************************************************************************

Rick: What do you mean Ridge pulled the line?

Amber: "Brooke's Bedroom"?

Bridget: Nobody told you?

Rick: It's all over the building. Everybody knows.

Rick: No, no. That must be a mistake. Ridge can't do that.

Amber: Yes, he can.

Bridget: He's the CEO, Rick. He can do whatever he wants.

Rick: But that's mom's line. Ridge knows how much it means to her. He knows how much it means to the whole company. It's our biggest moneymaker.

Bridget: Maybe we should say something.

Rick: Oh, I'm definitely going to say something. I don't know what that guy is trying to prove, but I'm going to find out right now.

***************************************************************************************

Brooke: What am I going to do? Talking about this isn't going to help. I'm pregnant with Deacon's baby.

[ Knock at door ]

>>Brooke: I'm sorry, doctor. I just don't feel like discussing this anymore. Deacon? Go away!

Deacon: Stop. Brooke, we have to talk.

Brooke: Oh, god. I don't have anything to say to you. I just want you to leave.

Deacon: Why are you acting this way?

Brooke: Why do you care?

Deacon: I care, Brooke, because listen -- I know that you're hiding something, and I want to know what it is.

Brooke: Please, don't touch me.

Deacon: What's going on here? What did I do? Why do you hate me? Brooke, something happened between us, something electric and unexpected. You and I connected. We connected in a way that I've never connected with anybody. Brooke, you remember that night? You were down about Ridge. Everybody said that the way you had pursued him was sick and immoral. I told you I admired you for it because you went after what you wanted. You didn't give a damn about what anybody else thought. You were going to get what you wanted, or you were going to die trying. That kind of passion is never wrong. It's a rare, and it's a beautiful quality, Brooke, and you possess it. You should never be ashamed of that. You followed your heart, and you went after your dream. You were just dreaming about the wrong man.

Brooke: No, wait. We can't.

Deacon: Oh, yes, we can.

Brooke: Oh, no. No, no!

**************************************************************************************

Thorne: So, Ridge, what should I do with these designs?

Ridge: Let's put them all in the warehouse. As of today, Forrester Creations is officially out of the lingerie business.

Thorne: You got it.

Rick: What do you think you're doing? I heard you dropped the bedroom line.

Ridge: Yeah, I did.

Rick: You ungrateful bastard! Who the hell do you think you are? <
