Brooke: What I did was wrong, Megan. It was wrong.
Megan: You were vulnerable. Brooke, come on, you've got to ease up on yourself.
Brooke: I slept with my daughter's husband!
Megan: Legally, yes, he's her husband, but even that could probably be challenged. Brooke, he married her to hurt your family. He didn't mean those vows.
Brooke: Well, he didn't mean them when he said them. But he's changed, Megan.
Megan: So suddenly he's in love with her?
Brooke: He had an epiphany. To hear him talk about Bridget and how much she means to him now, how much he really does love her, I think he believes it.
Megan: But do you believe it?
Brooke: I don't want to. For Bridget's sake, of course.
Megan: Of course.
Bridget: Wow, look at you.
Deacon: Oh, wow, no, no, no. No, look at you. You look absolutely amazing.
Bridget: I am so excited for this party tonight. I just want everything to be perfect for Kristen. Hey, are the caterers ready yet?
Deacon: Yep. Yep, they're doing everything they need to.
Deacon: Baby, I swear you look so beautiful I could just die.
Bridget: Well, don't do that. I kind of want you around for a little while.
Deacon: I got something for you.
Bridget: You do?
Deacon: Yeah, come here. Sit right down here. Okay. This is -- well, its kind of a symbol of our new beginning together. I hope you like it.
Bridget: Oh, Deacon, I love it. Put it on.
Deacon: I think you better take a closer look at it.
Bridget: [Laughs] It's a toe ring?
Deacon: Yeah. Come here.
Bridget: It's beautiful.
Deacon: All right, let's see. I've never done this before.
Bridget: Perfect fit.
Deacon: Yeah, all right. Look at that. It's beautiful. You know how precious you are to me?
Bridget: Well, I think so, but you can always tell me again.
Deacon: Bridget, you're everything that I could possibly want in a woman. And you're also everything that I never thought I'd get.
Kristen: Don't be nervous, okay? Everything's going to be fine.
Tony: Well, I hope so.
Kristen: How are your parents?
Tony: They're holding up.
Kristen: Well, the family's going to love them.
Tony: Yeah, I know. It's just me that they're not too crazy about.
Kristen: Well, we just have to get through tonight. And then tomorrow --
Tony: And then tomorrow --
Kristen: That's right, tomorrow I become Mrs. Antonio Dominguez. Tu esposa.
Tony: I'm gonna hold on to that thought.
Kristen: You do that.
Tony: Listen, tonight, I have a little surprise for you.
Kristen: Really? Would you like to give me a little hint?
Tony: Well, if I did then it wouldn't be much of a surprise now, would it?
[Knock at the door]
Kristen: I better go. There's someone at the door.
Tony: Okay, I'll see you in a little bit. I love you, mi amor. Ready to go?
Eduardo: Antonio, your mother and I have been discussing this plan of yours.
Tony: Poppy, I think it's going to work.
Liliana: And what if it doesn't work, Tony?
Tony: Well, I have to attempt at least, right?
Eduardo: Mr. Forrester -- he's adamant. He's against your marriage.
Liliana: And asking him to be your best man is not going to change that, Tony.
Tony: I think it will.
Eduardo: I will not have my son be made a fool of. Mi hijo, por favor, at least meet him in private.
Tony: What, and make it easy for him to refuse? No, I'm gonna ask him in front of the entire family. I'm getting married tomorrow no matter what happens. And Eric Forrester knows that. Now I would like him to be part of the wedding. And it would mean everything to Kristen. I have to do this.
Kristen: I'm sorry that Taylor can't make it tonight, but I do hope that Steffy is okay.
Ridge: It's just a cold. The kids are passing it around. She thought she'd be better staying home.
Kristen: But she will make it to the wedding tomorrow?
Ridge: Let's see how Steffy feels. How are you feeling tonight?
Ridge: Dad still giving you a hard time?
Kristen: Actually, I'm hoping I got through to him.
Ridge: Well, I guess we'll see tonight at the party, won't we?
Stephanie: I don't think so. He's not gonna come to the party tonight.
Kristen: Dad isn't coming?
Stephanie: No, he's not, honey. I'm sorry.
Kristen: Well, where is he? I want to talk to him.
Thorne: That's not a good idea, sis. I just got off the phone with him.
Kristen: So he's at the office?
Thorne: Yeah, he is. And he's not in the mood to negotiate.
Kristen: Well, too bad. I am gonna call him.
Stephanie: Kristen, don't you want to have a pleasant evening?
Kristen: Pleasant? No, mother, I want to have a wonderful evening. It's the night before I'm getting married, and I want my father to be at the party.
Stephanie: Why? You know exactly how he feels about this. He thinks the marriage is your death sentence, and he's no going to compromise.
Kristen: What about you?
Rick: Hey, everybody, let's party!
Amber: Hi, Kristen, what a beautiful dress.
Kristen: Thanks, Amber.
Rick: What's going on?
Thorne: Dad's not coming to the party.
Amber: Why not?
Kristen: Hey, you know, if he wants to miss out, then that's his loss. Well, come on. Like my little brother said, let's party.
Brooke: I feel so duped!
Megan: By Deacon?
Brooke: Yes -- no -- I don't know!
Megan: Talk about unresolved feelings.
Brooke: My feelings are very resolved. I feel nothing for that man, and he better not hurt Bridget the way he hurt --
Megan: The way he hurt you?
Brooke: Oh, come on, Megan. Deacon Sharpe never hurt me.
Megan: I'll be out at my desk.
Eric: Brooke, I'm surprised you're still here. I thought you'd be at Bridget's party.
Brooke: Yeah, well, it just wouldn't be good for me.
Eric: Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't particularly see Kristen and Tony's engagement as a real reason to celebrate. The fact is, I feel like it's a tragedy.
Brooke: You're not going?
Eric: No, no, I'm not.
Brooke: Eric, they're getting married whether or not you go.
Eric: What's your point?
Brooke: Well, if it was my daughter marrying a man that I didn't approve of I'd like to be there to make sure that everybody knew.
Eric: I don't see that it would make any difference.
Brooke: It may not make a difference. But if, God forbid, Kristen ends up with HIV someday, you'll wish you were more involved -- much more involved.
Bridget: And this is my husband, Deacon.
Deacon: It's my pleasure.
Liliana: Deacon, pleasure to meet you.
Tony: I want to thank you both so much for doing this
Bridget: Well, we're very honored to have you in the family, Tony.
Tony: Thank you.
Eduardo: Are we the first to arrive?
Bridget: Yeah, but the others should be here any minute.
Deacon: Liliana, Eduardo, let me show you what we have to drink over here.
Liliana: Oh, thank you.
Bridget: Are they okay?
Tony: They're a little nervous, but they'll be fine.
Bridget: They're worried about Dad and Stephanie, huh?
Tony: Well, let's face it, Bridget, you're the only one in your family that supports what we're doing.
Bridget: Well, that's gonna change tonight, Tony. Everything's gonna come together, I know it.
Tony: You want to sell me that crystal ball of yours?
Sally: Hello, everybody. Bridget, it looks absolutely wonderful. You have done a great job!
Bridget: Thank you, Sally. This is my first big family party.
Tony: I'm so glad all you ladies made it. Thank you.
Sally: Oh, well, you know, quite frankly, I never thought I'd be at a Forrester family gathering ever again.
Bridget: Well, I really appreciate the way you've supported Kristen and Tony.
Sally: Well, I may not always be a fan of the Forrester’s, Bridget, but I am a fan of love and romance and always will be.
Deacon: Long time, Sally, how are you?
Darla: Hi, Deacon.
Sally: Deacon, I'd like you to meet one of our newest associates at Spectra. This is Sofia Alonzo.
Deacon: Mucho gusto.
Sofia: [Speaking Spanish] Nice to meet you.
Deacon: I'm really glad you could all come.
Sally: Where's the rest of the clan?
Tony: They'll be here, Sal.
Eduardo: We met with them earlier.
Tony: My parents had a little run-in with the Forresters.
Sally: I see, well, listen, don't take it personally.
Liliana: Hello, Sally.
Sally: Hello, how are you darling? Listen, it is kind of a ritual tradition, you know, with the Forrester family that whenever anyone marries into that group, queen Stephanie or one of the other royals will make that person wish they hadn't done it. As I said, it's a ritual.
Darla: Deacon knows, right?
Deacon: Yeah, I know, from every direction.
Bridget: Including my mother.
Tony: Hey, these are my in-laws you're beating on. I think you're all going to see a change in attitude in the Forresters, especially Eric Forrester.
Sally: Oh, really? And how are you gonna pull that off, hmm? You going to spike the punch bowl with a love potion?
Eduardo: That has a better chance of working than what my son has in mind.
Sally: Ah, well, now I'm really curious.
Kristen: Hi, everybody.
Sally: Oh, Kristen, lovely.
Ridge: Mr. And Mrs. Dominguez, I'm Kristen's brother, Ridge.
Eduardo: How do you do?
Ridge: These are her brothers, Thorne and Rick and his wife, Amber.
Liliana: Pleasure to meet you all.
Kristen: Oh, don't worry, you'll get to know them all real well.
Amber: Yeah, we're all pretty friendly.
Sally: Most of the time.
Sally: Hello, Stephanie. Nice you could make it.
Stephanie: Eduardo, Liliana, nice to see you.
Tony: And Mr. Forrester, is he parking the car?
Kristen: Actually Dad won't be coming tonight.
Eduardo: I'm not surprised. I didn't think he'd show up.
Rick: Thank you.
Amber: No, thank you.
Bridget: This isn't really going the way I hoped it would.
Deacon: No, no, it's not your fault, babe.
Bridget: I'm really going to give it to Dad.
Deacon: Hey, Bridget, he's worried about his daughter.
Bridget: Yeah, well, he has another daughter who expected him to be here. I mean, he could have at least called.
Deacon: I know, I know. The guy's got a lot on his mind right now.
Bridget: Wow. You really have changed, defending my father.
Deacon: I don't know. You know, if my daughter was going to marry some guy with HIV, I might take a hard line, too.
Tony: Hey. How are you doing?
Priest: I've been looking over your wedding vows. Are you happy with them?
Kristen: Well, I think our vows are perfect. Don't you, Tony?
Tony: Yeah. They're fine.
Priest: Tony, this wedding is going to be like nothing I've ever been a part of. I'm very excited about it.
Tony: I am, too. I just wish that Kristen's father had come tonight. I had something special planned.
Kristen: Oh, sweetie, I'm sorry.
Tony: Do you think he'll be at the wedding tomorrow?
Kristen: I wouldn't count on it.
Tony: Well, who's going to give you away?
Kristen: Maybe one of my brothers.
Priest: Listen to me, both of you. When you two came to me and asked me to minister your wedding, I had concerns, not unlike Mr. Forrester. But as I got to know you, I realized something. This is no ordinary wedding, and you are no ordinary couple. I have all the faith in the world that Kristen's father will see that, too -- maybe not tonight or tomorrow, but trust me, he will.
Kristen: Thank you, father.
Sally: Excuse me. Can I ask you a question? I mean, since this is such a wonderful family gathering, I was wondering what family meant to you?
Stephanie: Don't start, Sally.
Sally: I'm serious. I was hoping that it would mean understanding and love and compassion and acceptance -- accepting the fact that this beautiful bride is a grown woman capable of making her own decisions.
Thorne: Well, that doesn't mean that her decisions can't have tragic consequences, Sally.
Sally: Oh, Thorne, I know all about that. You may recall that I had a daughter who made a decision with tragic consequences on the day she married you. On that day, I didn't do anything to try and stop the wedding. I didn't boycott it, and I certainly didn't try and freeze you out, Thorne, the way your father is doing to Antonio.
Tony: Everyone, could I have your attention, please? I would like to start out by thanking our hosts for this lovely party, Bridget and deacon. It means a lot to Kristen and me. It means a lot to my parents as well. Now, I know that most of you question what me and Kristen are doing tomorrow, but despite your reservations, the fact that you are all here tonight -- well, we're both deeply touched. There is a significant person missing, though. Now, this is someone that I've always admired, someone that I've emulated professionally and personally ever since I decided to become a designer. This person's acceptance means a lot to me. The person I'm talking about is Eric Forrester, and the fact that he disapproves of me even being with Kristen, it's hard for me to accept. Now, you can call me naive, but I was hoping that I could ask him a question tonight. I was hoping that he would stand up for me and that he would be my best man. Now, I guess that's pretty silly of me, seeing that he's probably not even going to be at the wedding tomorrow. But I did have my reasons -- very important reasons for wanting to ask him.
Ridge: Tony, maybe you can still ask him.
Tony: Sir, thank you. Thank you for coming.
Eric: This doesn't change anything, Tony. You know how I feel about this. You wanted to ask me something? What is it?
Tony: I was hoping that you could be my best man. Now, I know that you don't approve, but there is going to be a wedding tomorrow, and I would be honored if you would stand up for me.
