Tony: Don't worry, Kristen. My parents are going to love you.
Kristen: Oh, but I wanted to be here when they arrive.
Tony: Well, you have a wedding to plan. They'll understand.
Kristen: No. I'm gonna call the florist and tell her I can't make it.
Tony: Don't you dare.
Sally: He's absolutely right, Kristen. Don't you dare. Leave everything to us. Sofia and Darla over here will act as hostesses. I will provide some kind of entertainment. You are the bride. Do what you have to do, and try and relax.
Kristen: Relax? I'm about to meet my fiancÚ's parents.
Sofia: Kristen, they're going to love you. You're going to love them. They're wonderful people.
Tony: She's right. And they can't wait to meet you.
Darla: So they know about the engagement?
Tony: Oh, they're thrilled.
Clarke: How about the HIV? Do your parents know about that, Tony?
Tony: That's none of your concern, Clarke.
Clarke: You know, Tony, you can't avoid it forever. You know, they're going to get a clue when the bride's family boycotts the wedding.
Sally: That's enough, Clarke.
Tony: I agree. Why don't you just get out?
Clarke: You know, Tony, the truth is going to come out sooner or later.
Tony: Why don't you just stay away from my family and get the hell out of here?
Sally: All right, everybody. Let's just calm down. Clarke, go home. Take the rest of the day off.
Clarke: You could use a rest, too, Sally.
Kristen: Okay. Well, I guess I better get going. I'm going to be late.
Tony: I'll see you at dinner?
Kristen: Hmm, you sure will. I love you.
Tony: I love you, too.
Sally: Don't worry about Clarke, Antonio. I'll take care of him. I won't let anything spoil this wonderful reunion with your parents.
Deacon: Brooke, it's me.
Brooke: Did you do it?
Deacon: No. I didn't do it yet.
Brooke: Where is she?
Deacon: She's in the shower. Look, about last night, Brooke, we've got to talk about this.
Brooke: You have to forget about last night. You need to focus on Bridget. Just put that out of your mind.
Deacon: Brooke, I'm not just going to forget about last night.
Brooke: Well, I can't forget about it, either. But Bridget's future is in your hands. You have to think about her.
Deacon: I know, I know. Look, I'm going to -- I'm going to take her up to Big Bear, and I'm going to tell her I want a divorce.
Brooke: Do you want me to go with you?
Deacon: No. This is -- this is my mess. I've got to be the one to end it.
Brooke: Okay, but I don't want Bridget driving when she's upset, so I'm going to have my cell phone with me. If she needs me for any reason at all, you just call me, okay? I'll be right up there.
Deacon: Brooke, I'm not going to let anything happen to her.
Brooke: Thank you.
Deacon: You don't have to thank me. You were right. Bridget deserves a hell of a lot better than me, and -- well, I guess after today, she'll be free to find it.
Brooke: So what about you? What are you going to do?
Deacon: I don't know. I don't know, but I'll tell you this much -- I'm not going to bother your family again.
Brooke: What about your son?
Deacon: Well, I guess I'm just going to have to work something out with Amber.
Brooke: So this is good-bye?
Deacon: Yeah, I guess.
Brooke: Deacon --
Brooke: What you're doing for my daughter is a very noble thing.
Deacon: I'm doing it for you, Brooke.
Brooke: Good-bye, Deacon.
Bridget: Who was that?
Deacon: It was your mother.
Bridget: Oh. What did she want?
Deacon: She was actually returning my call. I -- I asked if we could use the cabin up at Big Bear.
Deacon: Today. The car is all packed. As soon as you get ready, we can go.
Bridget: What, we're leaving right now?
Deacon: It's going to be cold up there, so grab something warm, okay?
Bridget: Okay. What's going on? You want to take me to Big Bear all of a sudden just out of the blue?
Bridget: Oh, I know that look. You're up to something. What is it?
Sally: All right. Have you included television advertising in any of these?
Darla: Oh, absolutely. Look.
[Knock at door]
Liliana: Hola. Hello.
Liliana: Antonio, my son!
Liliana: So handsome, so big and strong.
Eduardo: You look well, Tony. Bien.
Tony: Sally, Darla, I'd like to introduce you to my parents. This is Eduardo and Liliana Dominguez.
Darla: It is so nice to meet you both.
Sally: Senor, senora Dominguez, welcome to Spectra. Welcome to Los Angeles.
Liliana: Thank you.
Eduardo: Thank you. Gracias. [Speaking Spanish] Well, Antonio, where's your fiancÚ?
Tony: She had an appointment at the florist. She's going to meet us for dinner later.
Darla: Oh, you're going to love Kristen. Oh, my gosh. She's an amazing woman.
Tony: Yes, she is. So Pappy, Mommy, how was your flight?
Eduardo: The flight? Antonio, first class? You shouldn't have. And the limousine to pick us up?
Tony: Uh! That was Sally's idea.
Sally: It was my pleasure, Senor.
Eduardo: Thank you. You are too generous.
Sally: Nothing but the best for my brand new, star designer and his family.
Eduardo: But you have already given Tony so much -- a prestigious job, a new line, a house at the beach.
Sally: It's nothing. He deserves more, much more, for everything he has brought to this company. For that, I would like to go out and name a street after him. I would like to celebrate his birthday as a national holiday.
Sally: Oh, yes, senor Dominguez. For what he has done for this company, I could never pay him enough. He has put us back on the map again. Your son is a Milagros. He is a miracle worker.
Tony: Don't let her fool you, okay? She is the miracle worker around here. She is the heart and soul of this company. And she is also a very dear friend of mine.
Sally: Gracias, Antonio.
Liliana: Yes, I want to thank you, Ms. Spectra.
Sally: Call me Sally.
Liliana: Sally. It's hard on a mother being so far away from her children. I was worried when Tony moved to Los Angeles. I wanted him to stay in Miami and work there near the family, but he tells us he's very happy here. You've taken very good care of him.
Sally: That's because we're a family, too. Spectra is a family. And I couldn't care any more for Antonio than if he were my own son.
Brooke: I'm here.
Rick: Hey. I'm looking for Bridget. Do you know where she is?
Brooke: She and deacon are going up to Big Bear.
Rick: For how long?
Brooke: Just for the day. They'll be home tonight.
Rick: Right, yeah. Not if Deacon has anything to say about it. I can't believe that guy. He probably wants to get her out of L.A. So she doesn't find out what a snake he is. You know, I've got half a mind to go up there.
Brooke: You can't.
Rick: What do you mean I can't?
Brooke: Rick, Deacon is going to ask Bridget for a divorce.
Brooke: That's why he's going up to Big Bear. He's going to end their marriage tonight.
Rick: How did you find out about this?
Brooke: He told me.
Rick: Oh, I get it. He's had his fun, and now, he's going to cut her loose.
Brooke: This isn't fun for him, Rick. It's far from it. Deacon is not a bad person. He doesn't want to hurt Bridget. That's why he stayed with her this long. But he knows it can't go on, and as hard as it's going to be, he knows he has to end their marriage.
Bridget: Deacon, have you seen my black duffle bag?
Deacon: You're not going to need it.
Bridget: Well, I hardly keep any clothes at the cabin, so I have to pack something.
Deacon: Well, we're not going to stay overnight.
Bridget: We're not?
Deacon: No. So just grab what you need for the day, okay?
Bridget: I don't have class till tomorrow afternoon.
Deacon: Yeah, well, I got work in the morning.
Bridget: Deacon, what is with your attitude? I mean, this was your idea.
Deacon: I just want to get up there, that's all.
Bridget: You're just acting so serious.
Deacon: There's something I want to talk to you about, and it's pretty important.
Bridget: Okay. We can't talk here?
Deacon: No, no. So just go grab your stuff, and come on. Let's get out of here.
Bridget: All right.
Sofia: These are some of Tony's latest designs for Spectra.
Liliana: Beautiful. These look --
[Eduardo speaking Spanish]
Liliana: They're gorgeous.
Sofia: Yeah, Sally's very proud of him. She really made us feel like we are her family.
Tony: Yeah. I don't really know what I would have done without Sally's support. A few months ago, I was going through some tough times, and she was there. She came to my rescue. She wouldn't let me feel sorry for myself, I'll tell you that. She put aside her own work, and she helped me get back on my feet.
Eduardo: Back on your feet, mi hijo? But I thought everything was going well?
Tony: Pappy, everything is fine.
Liliana: There's no problem with the wedding or anything?
Tony: No, no, no, no. Everything's fine. Me and Kristen are fine. There's nothing that's going to be stopping this wedding. [Speaking Spanish]
Brooke: That's right. And make sure you call Elaine and reschedule for tomorrow. Thanks, Megan. Bye. I'm sorry, honey. I just wanted to make sure I was available for Bridget if she needed me.
Rick: You know, maybe you should head up to Big Bear right now.
Brooke: I suggested that to Deacon, but I think he wants to handle this on his own.
Rick: Well, who cares what Deacon wants? Bridget's gonna be crushed. She's gonna need someone to lean on.
Brooke: And I'm going to be there for her if she needs me, but I'm not going to interfere with Deacon's plans. He's thought this out.
Rick: What are you talking about? Deacon does not give a damn about what happens to her.
Brooke: Rick, he doesn't want to destroy her. He knows he made a mistake, and he's going to correct it.
Rick: Even though Amber isn't available?
Brooke: This isn't about Amber. This is about Bridget. He's going to divorce her because he knows it's the best thing for her, and because I --
Rick: Because you what?
Brooke: I asked him to, and he really cares about Bridget.
Rick: The only person Deacon Sharpe cares about is himself.
Brooke: Not anymore. I know he married Bridget out of spite, but the time that he spent with her has changed him. He values her intelligence, her integrity, and he sees her potential, and he doesn't want to hold her back. He is going to set her free.
Rick: I'll believe that when I see it.
Brooke: It's going to happen, Rick. Deacon isn't going to cause our family any more problems. In fact, we may never see him again.
Bridget: Brr. It's cold in here. You better warm me up.
Deacon: Yeah. Look, let me -- let me go turn the heat up, okay?
Bridget: Deacon, come on. Lighten up. Why are you so tense?
Deacon: I'm just -- I'm cold.
Bridget: I thought you wanted to talk. You barely said a word to me in the car.
Deacon: I'm just -- I'm not used to these mountain roads, you know? I didn't want to get distracted. Where is -- where is the thermostat?
Bridget: Oh, hold on. Let me get some wood.
Deacon: Whoa, whoa, whoa! What are you doing?! Come on, what are you, crazy?! Stop it, stop it!
Bridget: Yes, I'm crazy. I'm crazy about you. [Laughs] Careful. You're starting to smile.
Deacon: You're killing' me.
Bridget: This was such a great idea, Deacon. Getting out of town, just the two of us. I've been so stressed out about Mom and school and now Ridge in the hospital. This was exactly what I needed. Thank you for bringing me here.
Deacon: How can I do this, and what do I say? I care about you, Bridget. You're the sweetest girl I ever met.
Bridget: Hey. What are you thinking about over here? Honey, you look so serious. I want to know what's going on in that head of yours.
Darla: Tony is going to design Kristen's gown. This is one of his earlier ideas.
Sally: It's going to be a beautiful ceremony.
Liliana: Oh, it sounds so romantic. But wait a minute. Won't her father want to design her gown?
Sally: Oh, of course he would normally, but you see, Eric Forrester's right-hand man, his son Ridge, has had an accident, and he's been hospitalized.
Eduardo: Is his son all right?
Sally: Oh, yes. He'll be fine. He's just not going to be doing any designing for a while.
Tony: Well, neither will I once Kristen and I pick our spot for our honeymoon.
Clarke: Hey, Antonio, don't worry about it, because you know that no matter what happens that I will always be here to take care of things. Hello, I'm Clarke Garrison. I'm the head designer here at Spectra. You took good-looking people must be Tony's parents.
Liliana: It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Garrison.
Eduardo: Gracias. Nice to meet you.
Sally: Clarke, we thought you'd left for the day.
Clarke: Oh, no way. I heard the two most important people in Tony's life were here. And you must be thrilled about his engagement.
Liliana: Oh, yes. We can't wait to meet Kristen and her family. What a happy celebration that's going to be. I bet her parents are every bit as excited about this as we are.
Tony: Speaking of which, you know, we should get going, because Kristen's probably at the house by now.
Liliana: It was a pleasure to meet you all, really.
Sally: The pleasure was ours. And listen, if there's anything we can do for you, please, just let us know.
Eduardo: See you at the wedding, Garrison.
Clarke: Who knows? We might see each other before then.
Tony: Come on. Let's go.
Sally: Clarke, what do you think you're doing?
Clarke: You know, Tony has got to face reality. He's living in a fool's paradise.
Sofia: You leave Tony's parents out of this!
Clarke: They think this marriage is a celebration.
Darla: It is, Clarke.
Clarke: Wait until they find out that the Forresters want nothing to do with their son. And wait until they find out why! That their golden boy is HIV-positive. When the truth comes out, this marriage won't be a celebration. In fact, it's not going to happen at all.
