Stephanie: I'd like to get to the bottom of this, please!

Sally: If you really mean that, Stephanie, then the first thing you'll have to do is accept the fact that your husband has abducted your daughter to take her somewhere and brainwash her.

Stephanie: Did you see him driving the limousine?

Tony: No, actually, I didn't see him.

Sally: All right, it's possible that he hired someone else to drive the car.

Stephanie: But why would he do this?

Sally: Because. When Kristen told him that she had proposed to Antonio, he panicked. He arranged for the limousine to go over to Las alos restaurant and pick them up. He got out of the car, but before Kristen could get out of the car, the limousine sped away with her still inside.

Tony: I mean, he's obviously trying to keep us apart.

Sally: And while we're standing here wasting time talking, she is probably at the airport right now, ready to get on a plane to go to Paris.

Stephanie: Paris?

Sally: Well, yes. Isn't that the usual modus operandi around here? When you've got a sticky situation and you want to get rid of somebody, you send them to Paris.

Stephanie: Kristen is not going to Paris!

Tony: No, she's not going to go to Paris, 'cause she's going to stay here in L.A. -- With me.

**********************************************************************************

Kristen: That video was overwhelming.

Eric: I know, honey. I know.

Clarke: We all know about AIDS. We know how devastating the last stages can be, but to actually see it -- I can't imagine watching someone you love go through that.

Eric: But we will, honey. We will all be there for Tony as his situation -- as it changes.

Clarke: That's right. Nobody expects you to turn your back on him.

Eric: But, Kristen, marriage cannot be an option. You got to face reality here. Family and children -- these are things that Tony cannot give you. What you've seen here on this tape is what you'll face if you marry Tony. Now, you have to ask yourself if deep down in your heart, if that's what you really want.

Kristen: No. I don't want my life to revolve around this disease. But that is our reality. And Tony and I have accepted it, and we have decided to face it together, as husband and wife.

Eric: Kristen, no!

Clarke: Kristen, think about what you're saying.

Kristen: Clarke, I have thought about it. I have thought about it a lot. I've prayed about it. I have searched every inch of my soul, and all I come up with is that I want to be with Tony. We have to be together. What we have is too precious to just let it go.

Eric: Kristen? Kristen, you'd be sacrificing -- you'd be sacrificing every potential that your life ever had.

Kristen: I'm sorry, dad. This is what I want. And you will see that something positive will come out of this. I don't know what it is yet. But there is a silver lining to this tragedy, and Tony and I are going to find it.

**************************************************************************************

Lisa: Oh, come on, Bridget. I know you don't really expect us to believe that Deacon is a poster boy for sensitivity.

Betsy: Well, he's always been really nice to me.

Julie: Yeah, but all that stuff about romantic walks on the beach and adoring his son?

Bridget: It's true.

Betsy: He reminds me of Nicholas Cage. You know, wild on the outside but really sweet on the inside.

Julie: Everybody reminds you of Nicholas Cage.

[Laughter]

Bridget: Hey, believe me. I was as surprised as you are. When I first met Deacon, I thought he was this dark, mysterious tough guy. Being with him just felt dangerous. But it's not like that anymore. Deacon makes me feel safe. I know he'll never let anything bad happen to me.

*************************************************************************************

Brooke: So you're going to do it. You're going to tell Bridget that you want a divorce.

Deacon: First thing tomorrow.

Brooke: Why not tonight?

Deacon: She went up to Big Bear with some friends.

Brooke: I thought she had a sorority function.

Deacon: They all got accepted, wanted to go out to celebrate.

Brooke: Oh, you're kidding. Well, that's great. I mean, that's what she should be doing -- hanging out with her friends, enjoying college, joining a sorority.

Deacon: Hey, Brooke, you know what? I never stopped her from doing any of that stuff.

Brooke: Yeah, but you never asked her to. And she would have. My daughter takes her commitments very seriously. Your marriage would've taken precedence over everything in her life.

Deacon: Yeah, well, I guess we're not going to have to worry about that anymore now, are we?

Brooke: After you confront Bridget, I will be there for her.

Deacon: Well, I'd say that's a good thing, Brooke, 'cause she's going to need you. Thanks.

Brooke: No, Deacon -- thank you.

Deacon: I just still can't feel good about this, Brooke.

Brooke: Bridget's a very tenacious young woman. She will bounce back.

Deacon: Yeah, like mother, like daughter.

Brooke: I hope not. I'm trying to spare her the pain that I've experienced.

Deacon: Brooke, you said something to me once, and I can't get it out of my head. You said that you didn't want Bridget to wake up one day and realize that she'd wasted the best years of her life.

Brooke: I never meant to insult you.

Deacon: Hey, Brooke, come on, huh? I mean, I'm a big boy. I know what you think of me. Your entire family hates my guts. They think I'm this heartless, selfish monster.

Brooke: Not me. Why do you think I've been trying to appeal to you? Deacon, I know you have a heart. It was just a matter of how to reach it.

Deacon: Well, I'd say guilt works pretty well, wouldn't you?

Brooke: Well, you're not divorcing Bridget out of guilt. You're divorcing her because you care about her and you think she deserves a better life.

Deacon: Well, that's certainly not why I married her, now is it, huh? No, I had a whole other agenda going on. I figured Amber would leave Rick. You people would do anything you could to keep Bridget away from me. I can't believe what an idiot I was.

Brooke: Well, you're not the only one who did something stupid in the name of love.

Deacon: Come on, Brooke. This was more than stupid. I -- I hurt a lot of people.

Brooke: You made a mistake.

Deacon: I made a mistake? I would say that that is probably the understatement of the year.

Brooke: It takes a strong man to admit that he's wrong and then just walk away form it all. I just wish I had that kind of integrity.

*************************************************************************************

Tony: Nothing is coming between us, Mrs.. Forrester. We are committed to each other!

Stephanie: Yes. You said you've already accepted her proposal.

Tony: Yes, I did.

Sally: Can't you see how deeply, deeply they love each other? They have pledged their lives to one another. Nothing is going to interfere with that.

Stephanie: Well, if Kristen's -- if Kristen's made up her mind, then you're probably right.

Tony: Then you accept our relationship?

Stephanie: No. No, I don't accept the relationship. Look, Tony, I'm sorry. My heart breaks for you, believe me. I wish there was a cure for HIV, but there isn't. So for you to stand here and tell me that you're going to pursue a physical relationship with my daughter, it's just unacceptable.

Tony: I am not going to harm her, Mrs.. Forrester. I'm not going to put her at risk!

Sally: It's all right, Antonio. I don't think we should talk about this anymore. We have to do something. Stephanie, please, can't you find it in your heart to come up with an ounce of compassion and understanding for these young people? Can't you offer them your support?

Stephanie: I don't believe this is any of your business.

Sally: It is my business! Antonio Dominguez is more to me than a designer at Spectra Fashions. We are very close friends. And I care about him as I would care about a member of my own family. And that is why I will do everything I can to stop anyone from robbing him of what means most to him in this life -- his hope for the future.

Stephanie: I'm just trying to protect my daughter.

Sally: Then you do know where she is?

Stephanie: No, I don't.

Sally: Well, then, you better get on the phone right now and start making calls and try and track her down. Otherwise, I'm going to be forced to call the police.

Stephanie: You're going to call the police? You just told me not to call the police. You said she's with Eric.

Sally: Yes, I honestly believe that she is with Eric, but I don't know where he's got her. And if I have to call the police in here, you know what they'll mean. All kinds of headlines. Things like, "fashion mogul kidnaps own daughter." The press will have a field day with this.

Stephanie: I'm surrounded by lunatics. I'm going to call Eric on his cell. And let me just tell you something -- if something has happened to Kristen and she is not with him, if something's happened to her, I'm going to shoot the two of you.

Sally: No more talk, Stephanie. Just make the call.

Stephanie: Eric? Yes. Listen, is Kristen at the office there with you? Is she all right? Well, Tony and Sally were here. They said something happened to her, and I couldn't understand anything that was going on.

************************************************************************************

Deacon: What are you talking about? Brooke, you've got a lot of integrity.

Brooke: I was pursuing a married man with three children.

Deacon: You thought Ridge was in love with you.

Brooke: I was deluding myself.

Deacon: Yeah? Well, hey, welcome to the club.

Brooke: Well, that's a different situation. What I did with Thorne and Taylor and those poor kids. I really believed that Ridge and I belonged together.

Deacon: Brooke, you were following your heart.

Brooke: And look what I got for it. Regret, denigration, ridicule. My children are ashamed of me. The Forresters, they despise me. And everybody else thinks I'm immoral.

Deacon: I don't think you're immoral. I think that you're a very brave woman who took a shot at everything for happiness. And I'll tell you what -- I respect the hell out of that. I'm just sorry it didn't work out for you. That's all. I guess I better get going.

Brooke: Right. So --

Deacon: So --

Brooke: You'll talk to Bridget tomorrow, and you'll tell her that the marriage is over.

Deacon: Yeah, yeah. I'll tell her first thing tomorrow.

Brooke: Thank you, Deacon. You don't know how much that means to me.

**************************************************************************************

Kristen: Dad, I know Tony is looking for me.

Clarke: Will you just stop thinking about Tony?

Kristen: Clarke, he has no idea what happened. I need to go.

Clarke: Kristen, wait!

Eric: No, let her go, Clarke.

Clarke: No, no, Eric. We can't let her -- just leave.

Kristen: Tony!

Sally: Are you here, Bucky? Why am I not surprised?

Eric: What are you doing here, Sally?

Sally: What are you doing here, Eric? Abducting your own daughter, scaring us all half to death. You ought to be ashamed!

Tony: Come on, Kristen. Let's go.

Eric: Tony, Tony? Look, listen to me.

Tony: Look, Mr. Forrester, I know that you're not happy about our engagement. What we're doing is unconventional.

Eric: What you're doing is dangerous!

Tony: For most people. But not for us! The feelings that we have for each other -- look, let me put it to you this way. A life without Kristen doesn't exist for me.

Eric: All right. I won't insist that you stop seeing my daughter. You two can be friends.

Tony: But we aren't just friends, and we never will be. The moment that we met each other, we knew that we needed to be together.

Clarke: Then why did you break up? If you were so damn sure about your mutual destiny, why did you leave?

Tony: Because this disease turned my life upside down. I mean, everywhere I went, I was surrounded by people telling me that I couldn't make her happy, that I couldn't give her the life that she deserved. And you know what? I started believe it -- up until Kristen convinced me that the only life that she wanted was a life with me. She made her own decision. She proposed to me. You have an amazing daughter. And her love and her devotion to me are the most precious gifts I've ever received. And I'm not going to take that for granted. We both believe that something miraculous is going to come out of this marriage. You'll see. You'll all see. Now if you'll excuse me, me and my fiancée have a little unfinished celebrating. And we have a wedding to plan.

********************************************************************************************

Julie: So Bridget, tell us -- what's it like living with a guy?

Bridget: You guys, I grew up with a brother. Okay, all you need to know is that they can never find the hamper or put down the toilet seat.

[Laughter]

Julie: But you guys are a couple. It's got to be different.

Lisa: Yeah, before you got married, you were living at home with your mother.

Bridget: Yeah, I mean, it did take awhile to get used to. Deacon can be such a blanket hog. And if I want any privacy, I have to remember to lock the bathroom door.

[Laughter] but you know, I think it's really been a bigger adjustment for my mom.

Betsy: She still can't see you as an adult?

Bridget: No, it's not that. It's just -- well, one day I was living at home, and the next day I wasn't. I left, her marriage broke up, Thorne moved out. And now she's all alone in that big, empty house. She never mentions it, but I think she must get pretty lonely.

*****************************************************************

Deacon: Hi.

Brooke: I thought you left.

Deacon: Yeah, I was going to.

Brooke: Did you forget something?

Deacon: Are you tired?

Brooke: No.

Deacon: Me, neither.

Brooke: You don't feel like going home.

Deacon: No. I noticed that you had a bottle of single malt scotch in your living room. I was thinking that maybe we could have a drink.

Brooke: Deacon, I -- I don't know about this.

Deacon: Just one drink. You've waited this long to get me out of your daughter's life. The least we could do is have one little toast. Don't you think? To Bridget's freedom.

Brooke: Hmm!

Deacon: Let me help you with that.
