Rick: I just -- I can't bring myself to talk to Amber.

Thorne: Rick, I think you should.

Rick: Why? So she can come up with another excuse? Tell me that her kissing Deacon meant nothing? She kept going on and on about how she's looking forward to having this child, that she was excited. It made me sick!

Thorne: Rick, it's only going to get worse, okay, the longer that you hold this in.

Rick: Oh, so what am I supposed to do, unload on her?

Thorne: Look, man, I wish I had an easy answer, okay? But this is a -- this is a complicated situation.

Rick: No, it's not! It's simple. Amber is in love with Deacon.

Thorne: And she's pregnant with your child.

Rick: And this is how she behaves after everything we've been through? I took her back. She put me through hell, and I gave her a second chance. How could she do this to me?

Thorne: Rick, look -- I know this is hard, okay?

Rick: I want her out of my house, Thorne. I want her out of my life.

Thorne: Listen, you've got every reason to be angry, okay? I can't blame you for that, but you can't just go off half-cocked. Look, you asked me for my advice, so I'm telling you -- relax. Take some time, okay? Really think about this.

Rick: She betrayed me! What else is there to think about?!

Thorne: The baby, Rick. You need to think about your child.

Rick: Right, the baby -- our baby.

Thorne: Rick. Rick, come on. Come on, Rick. Talk to me. Rick?

Darla: My gosh, this is amazing!

Sofia: Tony's a very lucky man.

Darla: You mean, so Kristen -- she's totally committed and doesn't care about the HIV?

Sally: They have both decided not to make an issue of it, Darla.

Sofia: But the doctor says, if they are careful, they can be physical.

Darla: Oh, so you mean they can make love with protection?

Sally: That's right, but they have chosen not to because of the risks involved. Besides, there are many other ways for a man and woman to be intimate.

Clarke: Attention, ladies. There's a man in the room now.

Darla: Oh, Clarke, we have the most wonderful news.

Clarke: What? What's that?

Darla: Tony and Kristen are back together.

Clarke: They're back together?

Sally: Yes, that's right. They are seeing each other again. They're dating.

Clarke: They can't. They can't be.

Sofia: Tony just told us.

Clarke: Well, don't be so certain, because if nothing else, Eric Forrester will never allow them to be together.

Eric: You want my blessing? You want my permission to continue dating Kristen?

Tony: I love Kristen. Kristen loves me. Look, there's no way that we're gonna let this virus get in the way of that.

Eric: And your HIV is not gonna have any effect on your relationship?

Tony: No, it doesn't really have to have any effect on it.

Eric: Well, you're wrong, son. It does. It affects everything, and if you can't see that, I can't trust you with my daughter.

Tony: Sir, please, look -- if you can just hear me out.

Eric: Look, I have discussed this already with Kristen. She told me about your intentions together. She told me about your meeting with Dr. Craig. It was her suggestion that I come over here and see you. Tony, I sympathize. I think what's happening to you is a real tragedy.

Tony: Yeah, but it doesn't have to be.

Eric: I know how you feel about my daughter. I don't doubt your sincerity. You know what I want to know? I want to know what happened.

Tony: Sir?

Eric: You and I had an agreement. We had an understanding. You agreed to stay away from Kristen, and now, I find out you're out consulting doctors about your sex life. Well, I'm sorry, Son, but that's not acceptable. You and Kristen are not going to have a physical relationship. That's absolutely out of the question.

Brooke: All right, I'm here.

Thorne: Thanks. Look, I'm sorry to drag you down here so damn late.

Brooke: It's okay. I could use a distraction.

Thorne: I heard about Ridge and Taylor.

Brooke: I suppose Stephanie's dancing in the halls right now.

Thorne: I'm sorry, Brooke.

Brooke: I don't want your sympathy, Thorne. It just makes me feel worse.

Thorne: Well, I'm glad that they worked things out. But still, that is no excuse for the way that Mom and
Taylor and that Massimo character behaved towards you.

Brooke: Well, apparently, Ridge thinks it's an excuse. He took
Taylor back, didn't he?

Thorne: She's his wife, Brooke.

Brooke: Is this why you called me here? Because if this is what you want to talk about --

Thorne: No, no, no, no. Look, it's Rick and Bridget.

Brooke: What about them?

Thorne: Amber's pregnant.

Brooke: No. Are you sure?

Thorne: Yeah, I'm sure.

Brooke: How could he let this happen?

Thorne: It wasn't an accident, Brooke.

Brooke: They were trying to get pregnant? I don't understand. Why didn't Rick tell me?

Thorne: That's what I want to talk to you about. Look, Rick came to me, okay? I can't go into the details because he came to me in confidence, all right? And I have to respect that.

Brooke: Thorne, he's my son! If something's wrong, I should know about it.

Thorne: I'm going to help him through this, okay, Brooke? My immediate concern is Bridget. We have got to get her away from Deacon. He does not love her, Brooke, and he is no good for her. Now, we have to end this marriage before something awful happens.

Tony: Mr. Forrester, I know that you are concerned about your daughter.

Eric: I'm concerned about you, too, Tony. I'm not a heartless person, you know. I know what it's like to love somebody and to want them so badly that you'll move heaven and earth to make it possible. Well, I'm sorry, but it's not possible, not for you and Kristen.

Tony: A few weeks ago, I would have agreed with you, but after what Dr. Craig told us --

Eric: Well, it's wrong, Tony.

Tony: No, I can assure you, me and Kristen, we can have a safe, intimate relationship.

Eric: The two of you shouldn't even be thinking about sex! All of this talk about intimacy and the proper techniques, it's just a fantasy, and it's absolutely irresponsible, and if you loved my daughter the way you say you do, you wouldn't even be considering it.

Tony: I do love her.

Eric: Then how can you allow her to get wrapped up in this delusion, Tony?! Do I have to remind you of the reality of this disease of yours?

Tony: I'm not going to put your daughter at risk, sir!

Eric: You do put her at risk, Tony, every minute you're with her -- every minute. Tony, I'm sorry, but this -- your HIV will eventually evolve into AIDS, and you're going to expose Kristen to that, too, because she's going to be there for you. We're all going to be there for you. The big question is, is Kristen going to be there for you as a friend or as a lover? You think about that. You think about all the implications of that, all the responsibilities of that. Now, I -- I think you're an intelligent, responsible young man, and I respect how you feel about my daughter, but this decision of yours to be a couple, I'll never accept that.

Brooke: Thorne, I know deacon doesn't love Bridget.

Thorne: I'm sure of it.

Brooke: So am I.

Thorne: Look, Rick said something to me, okay? I can't tell you what it is, but Brooke, I have to warn you, Bridget's marriage is in trouble.

Brooke: Rick talked to you about Bridget?

Thorne: He came to me for help, and I'm going to give it to him, okay? He'll be fine. I just wish I could say the same about his sister.

Brooke: Deacon hasn't hurt her, has he?

Thorne: No. Hell no, not physically, but Brooke, if we don't intercede in that relationship, Bridget's going to be emotionally devastated. Deacon is going to break her heart. It is only a matter of time.

Brooke: God. Maybe Stephanie was right. I don't know what's going on with my children. I mean, Amber's pregnant, Rick is having all these problems, and does he come to me? No. And now, my ex-husband has to tell me that my daughter's in trouble.

Thorne: Come on. You were in Paris, okay? You thought your father was dying.

Brooke: Yeah, but Bridget and Deacon have been married for months, and Rick and Amber, God knows how long they've been trying to get pregnant. I've just been too caught up in my own life to even notice.

Thorne: Hey, hey, hey, listen. I didn't call you down here to make you feel guilty, okay? I just thought that you should know.

Brooke: You're right. I should have known. I mean, I told Bridget from the very beginning that Deacon was no good for her, and why didn't I try harder to get him out of her life?

Thorne: Well, there's still time, okay? We can talk to Bridget together, all right? And we'll get Rick involved.

Brooke: No, no, Thorne. You've done enough, and I really thank you, but Bridget is my responsibility. I will handle this.

Thorne: Okay. So what are you going to do?

Brooke: What I should have done a long time ago. My father lost all perspective. He got so caught up in his life and his dreams that he destroyed his family. Well, I'm not going to let that happen to mine. Bridget needs me, and I'm going to be there for her no matter what it takes, and I will stop this marriage.

Kristen: Tony?

Tony: Kristen, hi.

Kristen: Is everything all right?

Tony: Your father was just here.

Kristen: I heard. I didn't want to interrupt. I was hoping that you'd get through to him.

Tony: I'm afraid I didn't have much luck.

Kristen: Well, he's very narrow minded about this.

Tony: Actually, I think he made a lot of sense. I mean, if it were my daughter, I would feel exactly the same way.

Kristen: Okay. Yes, I agree. For most people, what we're trying to do would be impossible. Committing ourselves to a life of abstinence? Tony, we'll be walking a tight rope, and if we slip even a little ever, it could be a catastrophe. But we are not going to let that happen.

Tony: Look, AIDS is more than a possibility with me, Kristen.

Kristen: Listen to me. I heard what my father said, and you're right. He did make some valid points. It's not going to be easy. We are up against an enormous challenge, but we will face it together, and there's nothing that my family can do about it.

Tony: They'll never accept us.

Kristen: Fine. They don't have to. I've already made my choice.

Tony: Why? Why are you so determined to be with me? And answer me honestly, because I want to know.

[Knock at door]

Brooke: Come in.

Deacon: Brooke, it's been too long. You wanted to see me?

Brooke: Yes, Deacon, I do.

deacon: So Brooke, you wanted to see me?

Brooke: Close the door.

Deacon: Ooh. It must be serious.

Brooke: You tell me.

Deacon: Excuse me?

Brooke: Don't be coy with me, Deacon. Just tell me what's going on.

Deacon: Well, maybe if you'd be a little more specific, I could help you. I'm afraid I'm not following.

Brooke: It's late. I don't have the time or the patience for this cat and mouse game, so let's just cut the bull and get down to business.

Deacon: Anything for my mother-in-law. I'm all ears.

Brooke: So you know that Amber is pregnant, right?

Deacon: Brooke, please tell me that you didn't have me drive all the way down here so we can rehash that again. I mean, how many times am I gonna have to tell you? There's nothing going on between me and Amber anymore.

Brooke: Well, I didn't really have you come down here to talk about Amber. This is about Bridget.

Deacon: What does Amber's pregnancy have to do with Bridget?

Brooke: That's what I'd like to know!

Deacon: Brooke, I'm really trying here, but you're not making a lot of sense. Maybe you're jet lagged still. What's going on?

Brooke: You don't love her, deacon! You never did! This marriage is a sham!

Deacon: This marriage is my business, and if you'd like to ask me about it, I'm afraid you're gonna have to ask nice. Otherwise, I'm done with your stupid accusations.

Brooke: Don't get indignant with me! You're going to answer my questions no matter how I ask them!

Deacon: Brooke, if I didn't know better, I'd say you're trying to tell me what to do. Now, who the Hell do you think you are?

Brooke: I'm Bridget's mother, and I'm not going to let my beautiful, intelligent, sweet young daughter throw her life away on a piece of garbage like you!

Deacon: Hey, hey, that's it. Accusations are one thing, but I'm not gonna stand here and let you insult me. Good-bye.

Brooke: Oh, my God, Deacon. She loves you. She is 100%, completely devoted to you, and you don't feel the same way.

Deacon: Okay. Brooke, I'm gonna try really hard to be patient with you, 'cause it's obvious that you're stressed, and you're having a bad day, but I'm not gonna be your punching bag.

Brooke: Why did you stick around for so long? Was it the money? Was it the house on the beach? Or was it because Bridget dotes on you all day long? Well, the party is over, Deacon. Your free ride ends here. Now, I want you to go home, and you're going to tell Bridget that you're leaving. And the first thing in the morning, you're going to file for a divorce.

Deacon: You're nuts.

Brooke: Oh, no. No, I am finally seeing things clearly. I am not focusing on myself anymore. I am putting all my energy into my family and into my children and into getting you out of Bridget's life!

Sally: Eric, what are you doing here?

Eric: I was just leaving, Sally. I want to ask you a favor though. If you see Kristen around here, you call me right away. I don't want her in this building. I don't want her anywhere near Tony.

Kristen: Why do I want to be with you?

Tony: Yes.

Kristen: Because I love you. Because I can't imagine my life without you.

Tony: Well, we could be friends -- I mean, best of friends.

Kristen: That's not how I feel about you.

Tony: All right. We could love each other, Kristen, but we're always gonna have this restraint between us.

Kristen: Tony, when we're together, my body aches for you. I need to touch you. I need that physical connection. That's more than just sexual. It goes way beyond sex. I thought you understood that.

Tony: I do. I feel the same way, Kristen. It's just, we have to make sure that we're doing the right thing. We also have to consider the inevitable progression of my disease.

Kristen: That you'll get AIDS --

Tony: I'm HIV positive, Kristen. The reality is it's gonna happen.

Kristen: And when it does, I will be there for you.

Tony: And that's what I'm afraid of. I don't want to bring that kind of pain into your life, Kristen. You don't deserve it.

Kristen: You're not bringing me pain. You bring me joy. Tony, you're the love of my life, the man I've waited for, dreamed of, fantasized about since I was 13 years old. Don't you dare tell me that I can do better.

Tony: Well, your father thinks so. Look, there's no way that your father is gonna accept me as your boyfriend.

Kristen: What if you weren't my boyfriend?

Tony: What are you talking about?

Kristen: Well, my family needs to know that we're fully committed to this, and if we can prove that to them, then they'll have to accept it.

Tony: How do we do that? Kristen, what are you doing?

Kristen: I have wished for you on every star in the sky. I prayed for you, and you came, and now, you're here, and I'm not gonna let you go. I want to spend my life with you, Tony Dominguez. Will you spend yours with me? Will you marry me?
