Brooke: Is he there?

Ridge: He is but he's not picking up. Do you want me to knock?

Brooke: No, no. Just tell him I called. Okay?

Ridge: I'm just not sure tough love is the way to go, that's all.

Taylor: It's simple human psychology, Ridge. If you keep rewarding Brooke for playing the damsel in distress she will keep doing it.

Ridge: You think it's an act? Her marriage is falling apart, doc. The woman is in pain.

Taylor: Yes, she is. She's very vulnerable which is all the more reason that you need to be careful. You know, you don't need to encourage that victim mentality. She gets her persecution complex going, and look out.

Ridge: Oh, you know what it does to me, when you use that psycho babble?

Taylor: I would like to find out. Transference...

Ridge: Oh, yeah.

Tony: Calm do you spell, calm down? I'm HIV-positive. Sooner or later I'm going to have AIDS. My life is over!

Sally: Aha, there he is. Our wayward designer come home at last. Bolt the door, Clarke. We're not going to let him out of here until we get some work done.

Clarke: You know, Antonio you're one tough man to find. Where have you been?

Antonio: Sophia, where is she?

Sally: She's on her way up here. You had better hope she's in a more for giving mood than we are.

Taylor: It's your dad.

Ridge: Just let it ring.

Taylor: He knows you're in here.

Ridge: Yeah, Dad? All righty. He wants to see me now.

Taylor: Right now?

Ridge: Well, it was your bright idea to answer the phone.

Taylor: Okay. I'll see you at home.

Ridge: Okay.

Taylor: Remember what I said about Brooke.

Ridge: No worries, no worries.

Ridge, I have a message for you.

Ridge: Just put it on my desk.

Megan: Okay. Hey, Taylor.

Taylor: Oh, hi Megan. How are you?

Megan: Okay.

Taylor: You're just okay?

Megan: Yeah, actually, I'm kind of sad, about Thorne and Brooke.

Taylor: Yeah, it is very sad.

Megan: I don't think she's doing well at all.

Taylor: You talked to her?

Megan: Yeah, I did. She just called for Ridge.

Thorne: Oh, my God, Macy? Macy? Oh... Oh, God... Look at you. You're okay.

Macy: I'm fine.

Thorne: Where have you been?

Macy: Not far.

Thorne: But why didn't you tell me?

Macy: Would it have mattered?

Thorne: Yeah. Yes, of course.

Macy: You seemed so happy.

Thorne: You know about me and Brooke. This marriage is over.

Macy: I knew before it even happened.

Thorne: You tried to warn me. Remember? You said that one day I would look back and realize that all the people who love me tried to help me. And that's what's going on, Macy. I see things so differently now. I can't -- you're really here. Oh!

Thorne: I am so sorry.

Macy: I know.

Thorne: I've missed you, Macy. I've missed you every day since you've been gone. I want to tell you things and ask your advice and -- you know, you were the only person I could ever count on to be honest with me.

Macy: What about Brooke?

Thorne: She can't even be honest with herself.

Macy: That's too bad.

Thorne: You're angry.

Macy: I forgave you a long time ago, Thorne.

Thorne: Are you saying that -- oh, Macy, you have to know I would give anything for a second chance, anything.

Macy: That's what I want too.

Thorne: You do? You do, really?

Macy: But Thorne... It's impossible.

Thorne: No, no, no, no -- nothing's impossible. I mean, you're here. You're alive.

Macy: I'm not here. I'm here.

Thorne: No.

Macy: This is just a dream, Thorne.

Thorne: No, no!

Macy: I'm sorry. I miss you too... Miss you too... Miss you too...

Thorne: No, no, Macy. Don't go, don't go, no! Macy, no! Don't go, don't go, Macy, no! No, Macy, don't go, no, no, Macy, Macy! Don't go, Macy no,! Don't go, Macy, no! Don't go, don't go -- oh!

Sally: Yes, Hector, I've talked to my colleagues and we all agree. It's a heck of a deal, if it's genuine leather and none of that polyester surprise stuff. Huh? It is? All right, fine, go ahead, pick it up.

Clarke: Tony, I can't read your notes here. What's that supposed to mean?

Antonio: Not now, Clarke.

Sophia: I miss you. Where have you been?

(Phone ringing)

Brooke: Hello?

Taylor: Hi, Brooke. It's Taylor.

Taylor: Oh, hi. Um, is Ridge with you?

Taylor: No, he's in a meeting. Is there anything I can do for you?

Brooke: No, thanks. It's just -- I just really need to talk to Ridge.

Taylor: Well, like I said he's not available and it may be a while before he is, so -- maybe you could call somebody else, like you know, maybe your mother or one of your sisters.

Brooke: No, I'll just wait until he has time.

Taylor: I don't think you understand. What I'm saying is I think it would be better if you called someone else.

Brooke: Oh, I'm going through a really hard time right now.

Taylor: I realize that, Brooke. But I just think you might develop a support system that extends beyond my husband.

Brooke: I don't believe this. I have to deal with your insecurities when my life is falling apart.

Taylor: Brooke, this has nothing to do with insecurities. I'm trying to help you.

Brooke: No, you're not. You're coming down on me, just like Stephanie did.

Taylor: Whoa, calm down.

Brooke: I've been there as a friend. I've been there to try to help me and now when I need support, you treat me like this?

Taylor: Brooke --

Brooke: No, forget it, just forget it.

Taylor: Oh, no, oh, no. You do not get off that easy.

Eric: So you'll check all that with Giovanni?

Ridge: Sure. What about the suede's?

Eric: I like the changes you made.

Stephanie: Gentlemen, I hope I'm not interrupting.

Eric: What's that?

Stephanie: This is -- oh, Dom Perignon.

Eric: That's a good yes.

Stephanie: Yes, I would say that Brooke's taste in champagne is almost as good as her taste in men.

Ridge: That's Brooke's?

Stephanie: Yeah, it was. I thought it was the least that she could contribute to the celebration, not that I think she will be indulging in one her self for quite a while.

Eric: You went to see her, didn't you?

Stephanie: Oh, I want her to know exactly where I stand.

Ridge: Well, now that you've made your point, maybe you'll just leave her alone.

Stephanie: As far as I'm concerned I hope I don't lay eyes on Brooke ever again as long as I live. Cheers.

Sally: All right, two, enough of that. Sophia, over here.

Antonio: Sophia... I need to talk to you in private.

Sally: Antonio, we haven't got time for our little heart to heart talks --

Antonio: Could you please just leave us alone?

Sophia: Antonio, what's the matter?

Stephanie: Eric, my darling?

Eric: Why not. Thank you.

Stephanie: You're welcome. Sweetheart?

Ridge: No thank you.

Stephanie: Why not?

Ridge: You and I just don't see Brooke quite the same way, Mother.

Stephanie: I hope I never have to see her again.

Ridge: Well, don't get your hopes up. She's still CEO.

Stephanie: That's true and I think that's something that we should discuss. I think we should try and find her something at Forrester international, some project that's not particularly meaningful.

Eric: Actually, that might not be such a bad idea.

Ridge: Oh, now you're ready to banish her too?

Eric: Maybe she could use a fresh start.

Stephanie: I think we all can. Let's have a party. A big party, yes.

Ridge: Oh, please.

Stephanie: It will be wonderful. We'll have some musicians in and we'll get the caterers. No, I don't think we should do that. This whole mess began with caters.

Ridge: I don't know, I don't really see any reason to celebrate since two people just got their hearts broken.

Stephanie: Ridge, you have to have a heart in order to get it broken.

Ridge: She does have a heart, mother. And I really wish you would just lay off her.

Taylor: Hi.

Brooke: What are you doing here?

Taylor: We didn't finish our conversation.

Brooke: I'm not in the mood for this, Taylor.

Taylor: Too bad.

Brooke: You are so insensitive. My husband, the man I love just walked out on me and his mother was here and read the riot act to me.

Taylor: Stephanie was here?

Brooke: Yeah. Now you see why I needed a friend to talk to?

Taylor: I also know when you feel like this, this is when you come running to my husband.

Brooke: Why do you keep doing that?

Taylor: Doing what?

Brooke: Saying "my husband" like you're trying to make a point or something. I know he's your husband. I mean, obviously. Otherwise I wouldn't be in this situation.

Taylor: Married to Thorne? That is what you're saying, isn't it? If Ridge had been available, you never would have married Thorne?

Brooke: You know, I never used Thorne. I loved him and we could have had a wonderful life together.

Taylor: Yeah, if he could just accept being second best. Brooke, I don't know how you thought he could do that.

Brooke: I don't need this, okay? I tried to move on. Isn't that what you were telling me all the time, to let it go, to get a life? Well, I did that and look what happened.

Taylor: You haven't let it go if every time you have a crisis you come running back to Ridge. I -- I spend all my time thinking about him. I think about him day and night. Yeah, I heard that part.

Brooke: I can't help the way I feel.

Taylor: Well, you better, Brooke. Or you're going to end up with a very empty life.

Sophia: Are you upset with me?

Antonio: No.

Sophia: I'm glad. Even if we can't be lovers, I want us to stay friends.

Antonio: You may not always feel that way, Sophia.

Sophia: Of course I will. We had some beautiful moments. I would never forget what you have given me. What is it? What's wrong?

Eric: Ridge, surely you can understand your mother's relief. This thing has been a long time coming. Of course, Brooke is hurting, but she could have prevented it all from happening.

Ridge: Dad, she just wanted someone in her life, someone who loved her. That doesn't make her a criminal.

Stephanie: No, it doesn't make her a criminal, of course not. But you have to be able to love another human being in order for them to continue to love you. And I don't want to get into an argument with you. It's not back and forth it. She's out of our lives.

Ridge: She's still my friend and Taylor's as well.

Stephanie: Well, I think Taylor's friendship with her will end as soon as she realizes Brooke still has the hot with you.

Ridge: Yeah, well, I just had a conversation with Taylor and she wants to help Brooke get through this.

Stephanie: The best thing that you and your wife can do is just to stay away from Brooke Logan, period.

Brooke: I can't believe you would have the nerve to say that to me.

Taylor: I'm just giving it to you straight, okay? Listen, Brooke, you let it happen again. You let your feelings for Ridge get in the way of what could have been a wonderful relationship.

Brooke: And it was a wonderful relationship, the best I've ever had.

Taylor: I don't know how you can say that. It was a marriage based on a lie.

Brooke: I never lied to Thorne.

Taylor: You let him believe you were over Ridge, and that wasn't true, was it?

Brooke: Could you do it?

Taylor: Do what?

Brooke: Stop loving Ridge.

Taylor: I don't know. But if I couldn't and I couldn't have him, I sure as hell wouldn't hang around.

Brooke: Oh, great. So now you want me to leave town.

Taylor: If you thought that would help --

Brooke: Oh, will you stop with the self-righteous crap. The only person you've ever helped is yourself.

Taylor: Look, you have a real problem. It's impacted every area of your life, your marriage, your career, your relationship with your children. I'm trying to help you see that.

Brooke: I'm not the only person with this problem. And I'm sure that Ridge didn't want to discuss this with you any more than I did with Thorne. But he's never going to forget what we shared. He just won't.

Taylor: I see.

Brooke: It hasn't been easy, Taylor. And I have never crossed the line but... But, I could get Ridge back, if I wanted to.

Taylor: (Laughing) (Laughing) Did you say what I thought you said? (Laughing) That is hysterical, Brooke. (Laughing)
