[Monitor beeping erratically]
Dr. Paxson: Bridget, come on.
Nurse #1: Still no blood pressure or pulse.
Dr. Paxson: Let's continue CPR. Here we go. Here we go. One and two, three and four and five -- breathe.
Deacon: Come on, Bridget, come on. Don't you die, damn it. Come on, Bridget!
Nurse #1: Where the hell is the epi?
Nurse #2: I got it.
Nurse #3: Should we intubate, Doctor?
Dr. Paxson: One and two and three and four and five.
Nurse #3: BP, doctor.
Dr. Paxson: All right, let's defibrillate. 300 joules. One and two --
Nurse #1: Ready.
Dr. Paxson: Here we go. Here we go. Clear. Okay, give me 260. Clear. Oh, God. Come on. Hang in there. Hang in there. 260 again. Clear.
Eric: Nurse, Nurse. Our daughter was brought in here.
Nurse #4: What's her name?
Brooke: Bridget Forrester.
Nurse #4: There's no Forrester here.
Eric: Yes, yes, there is. Look again.
Thorne: Dad, it's Bridget Sharpe.
Nurse #4: Bridget Sharpe, she's in room 104.
Brooke: Where is that?
Rick: It's right there.
Nurse #4: No, wait. You can't go in there.
Brooke: Why not?
Eric: She's our daughter.
Nurse: They're working on her.
Brooke: What does that mean?
Nurse: There's code blue in progress in that room.
Eric: Oh, my God.
Kristen: Tony, Ellen took her own life. She was a young woman and from all accounts a very happy young woman.
Antonio: Yeah, until she got depressed. The question is why did she get depressed?
Kristen: She had a problem. At least, that's what her family said.
Antonio: Yeah, but her family wouldn't tell me what that problem was. Why? They're hiding something, Kristen.
Kristen: Tony, a suicide in a family, that's not something people want to talk about.
Antonio: I was close to Ellen. I mean, I was practically part of the family. I lived with Ellen. Her brother was my best friend. Her mom and dad loved me. And now they're being so secretive about it. I just don't get it.
Kristen: Well, what did Ellen's doctor say?
Antonio: He agreed to meet with me.
Kristen: Great. When?
Kristen: Oh. Well, then, I should cancel our plane reservations because we're supposed to leave in an hour.
Antonio: Wait, wait... Cancel mine. Not yours.
Kristen: You're not going back to L.A.?
Antonio: Not yet.
Kristen: But you want me to leave?
Antonio: Do you really think that I want you to leave?
Kristen: Well, I hope not.
Antonio: You know, we've only known each other a very short time, and yet you questioning whether I want you near me or not --
Antonio: No, no, don't apologize. Actually I'm just voicing out my own amazement.
Kristen: At what?
Antonio: At how close that I've become to you.
Kristen: And does that frighten you?
Antonio: No. Does it frighten you?
Kristen: Mm, a little, I guess.
Kristen: Because, I've never felt like this about anyone before.
Antonio: I haven't either.
Kristen: Not even Ellen?
Antonio: Well, when I was with Ellen, I thought that I was in love with her, but I just never realized that it just -- there just might be this deeper level, you know, this deeper level of feelings when you're with someone, that you feel as if her heart's inside of you and you never want to leave her side. But if you do, you feel like she's right there with you after every thought. It's just not a feeling I was prepared for.
Kristen: Is it a feeling you like?
Antonio: Yes. And you know, it's funny. It's -- you think about love, you read about it, and I sing about it, but when it happens, when it truly happens, it's just something you've never expected before.
Kristen: Oh, Tony...
Antonio: It's difficult.
Kristen: What is?
Antonio: Just being in here with you, a bed...
Kristen: Well, I could wait for you here at the hotel.
Antonio: Don't tempt me.
Kristen: You don't know how long it's going to take?
Antonio: As soon as I find what I'm looking for, I'm on the next plane to L.A., I promise.
Kristen: I love you, Tony. I'll be waiting for you in L.A.
Eric: What are you talking about, a code blue? What is that?
Nurse: They're trying to revive your daughter, Mr.. Forrester.
Brooke: Revive her?
Doctor: Please, you have to wait out here.
Eric: Doctor, I'm the patient's father. How is she?
Doctor: She's stable.
Brooke: What happened?
Doctor: She was in a car accident.
Brooke: Yes, we know that.
Eric: No, what happened just now?
Brooke: Her heart stopped beating? Oh, my God, oh, my God.
Doctor: Your daughter's condition is very serious but yes, we revived her. She's breathing on her own.
Brooke: Doctor, can I see her?
Doctor: She is still unconscious.
Brooke: I don't care. I'm her mother and she needs me.
Eric: Doctor --
Doctor: All right, all right, but just for a couple minutes. One visitor. Just a couple minutes. Just wait until her husband comes out.
Eric: Her husband? He's in there?
Rick: Dad, calm down.
Eric: He's the one that caused all this!
Dr. Elder: Did your girlfriend come with you?
Antonio: No, she had to take a flight back to Los Angeles.
Dr. Elder: It's just as well.
Antonio: So what is it, doc? You know the story behind Ellen's death, don't you?
Doctor Elder: Yes, Tony, I do. Maybe you had better take a seat.
Brooke: Oh, my baby... Oh... Oh, my baby girl.
Antonio: Doctor, just for the record, I've been involved with another woman, so -- however tragic this may be that caused Ellen to take her own life, I think I can handle it.
Doctor Elder: Tony, there's no easy way for me to say this. Ellen overdosed after finding out that she had a medical condition.
Antonio: She was dying?
Doctor Elder: No, no, and there's a good possibility that she could have been cured. There's new medicines coming on the market every month. But you knew Ellen. Gregarious, energetic, never sick a day in her life. But this, this drew her into a horrible depression.
Antonio: But she had support. She had her friends, her family.
Dr. Elder: Yes, and we all talked to her, Tony. I guess that she just couldn't live with the stigma of it.
Dr. Elder: Of a disease the public still doesn't fully understand, after all these years, you would think --
Antonio: Wait a minute, doctor. We are talking about cancer?
Dr. Elder: No. Ellen had AIDS.
Rick: How is my sister, Deacon?
Deacon: She’s not good, Rick.
Amber: How did this happen?
Deacon: She took the keys. She, um -- she left the house. I tried to stop her.
Thorne: You tried?
Deacon: Yeah, Thorne, I tried.
Thorne: How could you let her drive?
Deacon: I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.
Eric: Don't you start telling me how sorry you are.
Deacon: I deserve every bit of your anger.
Eric: You have no idea. You have no idea how angry I am.
Rick: Dad, Dad --
Eric: Deacon, just get the hell out of here.
Deacon: No, I'm not leaving until anyway she's out of the woods.
Eric: Do you think I'm going to let you get near her ever again?
Deacon: She's going to be okay.
Eric: She's not okay! She's not okay and she's never going to be okay again.
Deacon: I hate myself right now but I'm till her husband and I'm not going to bail on her.
Eric: You're not a husband to her. She's in the hospital! She's in the hospital! She's going to die.
Deacon: I'm sorry.
Eric: She's gonna die.
Deacon: Sorry, I'm sorry.
Brooke: What has he done to you? Oh, God... My little baby. How much we've done together. All I ever wanted -- all i ever wanted was to protect you from something like this. But I couldn't. I should have done something. When I knew about the man in your life, I should have put a stop to it right then and there. Oh, Bridget... Bridget, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. It's all my fault. I'm sorry.
Brooke: Oh... No, this isn't my fault. It's Deacon's. He's the one who did this to you. But it's over. Do you hear me? He's never going to hurt you again. But you have to be strong, Bridget. You are strong. And you've got to hang in there. You hear me? You get well, and you come home, and we start over. This isn't the end. It's the beginning. You just hang in there, okay? Hang in there for me. And your father. Your family. Don't let go. Oh, Bridget, please... Don't let go.
Kristen: Tony... When we're together again, what a life we're gonna have.
Kristen: It's all there, Tony, our future... Yours and mine.
Antonio: Ellen had AIDS? Was it HIV-positive or was it full blown AIDS?
Dr. Elder: It was AIDS. Her immune system was failing. But she still had choices, Tony. She shouldn't have done this.
Antonio: Who gave it to her?
Dr. Elder: That's what I want to talk to you about.
Antonio: No, no, wait a minute, doc. You made me get that HIV test before I started dating her, for my surgery. I was negative. I didn't give it to her.
Dr. Elder: It wasn't you, Tony.
Antonio: Well then who did? I didn't know she was dating someone after me.
Dr. Elder: We knew who it was. Apparently he didn't know that he was infected.
Antonio: Well, I hope to hell he knows now.
Dr. Elder: It's a little late.
Antonio: No kidding.
Dr. Elder: He's dead. He died of complications due to AIDS.
Antonio: I thought you said that she wasn't dating anyone after me.
Dr. Elder: Not after you, Tony, before you.
Antonio: So that means, the whole time I was with Ellen, she was…
Dr. Elder: She was HIV positive. Which means you could be too.
