Amber: Why is my mind doing this to me? These thoughts about Deacon - - oh, I hate them. I'm certainly not gonna act on them. I just have to block them out.

Rick: Hey, buddy. Well, good morning to you, too.

Amber: Let's go to the beach.

Rick: What?

Amber: Yes, you, me, and Eric. We will get in the car, drive up the coast and pack a picnic lunch --

Rick: Amber, we can't.

Amber: Oh, why not?

Rick: Because I promised Dad I'd help out at the office, and today is Eric's day to visit Deacon.

Amber: Yeah, well, I'm rescheduling that.

Rick: Why?

Amber: I just don't feel like going over there.

Rick: Amber, this was our agreement, okay? If we start flaking out, Deacon's gonna do the same thing. I really want to play this by the book.

Amber: Then I'll have him come over and pick up Eric.

Rick: He's got a bad leg.

Amber: It's a lot better now.

Rick: Look, I just don't want Eric riding with him. It's not safe. Hey, what's going on?

Amber: I wanted to spend the day with my husband.

Rick: I want to spend the day with you, too. But -- look, I'll make it up to you.

Amber: When?

Rick: Tomorrow.

Amber: Tomorrow?

Rick: Yes, tomorrow, I promise, okay? But right now, I've gotta go. See you, squirt.

Amber: Tomorrow. It's today I'm worried about.

[Bridget thinking]

Bridget: Mom, Dad, and now Stephanie -- they all say Deacon's lying, that it's Amber he wants, that he's using me to get her back. But last night, he looked me straight in the eye and swore that it wasn't true.

Deacon: Whoa.

Bridget: You scared me.

Deacon: I'm sorry. Come here.

Bridget: When are you gonna pick up little d?

Deacon: I'm not. Amber's gonna bring him over.

Bridget: Oh.

Deacon: Hey, that still bothers you, doesn't it?

Bridget: Let's not talk about it, okay?

Deacon: Could you trust me on something?

Bridget: What?

Deacon: That I care about you, deeply. The more I'm around you, the more I appreciate everything that you are. You're a phenomenal woman, Bridget. Hey, I mean that. I mean, you're special in so many different ways. You're so strong. That's something I never expected. You've got so much to offer a man.

Bridget: It's all yours, Deacon.

Tony: Are you sure? Suicide? Ellen? Yeah, yeah, of course I'll make the funeral. All right, I'll see you then. Good-bye.

[Knock at the door]

Tony: Clarke?

Clarke: Cappuccino?

Tony: Yeah, thanks.

Clarke: It's a beautiful day.

Tony: What's going on? You're not here just to offer me coffee, are you?

Clarke: No, no, I'm not. I want to talk to you about Kristen Forrester.

Tony: What, are you still in love with her or something?

Clarke: Yes, and I always will be. So what's the deal with you and Kristen? Is this the real thing, or is Kristen just another notch in your bedpost?

Stephanie: Well, you're up and about early.

Kristen: Well, I have a big day ahead of me.

Stephanie: I'm very happy that the day is beginning here.

Kristen: I have a favor to ask you, Mother.

Stephanie: What's that?

Kristen: That you won't give me a hard time about something I want to do.

Stephanie: What do you want to do?

Kristen: I want to have a dinner party with the family.

Stephanie: Well, why would I give a hard time about that?

Kristen: Because I want to invite Tony, introduce him to everyone.

Stephanie: Oh.

Kristen: A friend of Tony's just passed away, and before he leaves for the funeral in Miami, I'd like him to meet the family.

Stephie: How was the press conference?

Kristen: Oh, it was amazing.

Stephanie: That's what your brothers said.

Kristen: If you already know, Mother, why are you asking me?

Stephanie: Calm down, Kristen. Tell me about this man that you think you like.

Kristen: I know it's hard for you to believe.

Stephanie: Why do you say things like that? I'd be delighted if you have found someone.

Kristen: Would you be, Mother?

Stephanie: Yes, although I can see that there are gonna be some problems.

Kristen: Oh, such as how could I possibly hope to hang on to a man?

Stephanie: As in, how you could possibly not think that there would be a problem because he works at Spectra?

Kristen: Oh, that won't be a problem.

Stephanie: I understand he's also involved with another woman.

Kristen: And that definitely won't be a problem.

Stephanie: You seem very confident about that.

Kristen: I am. Haven't you ever noticed in life that the most unexpected things are the truest? I went over to Tony's to convince him to work for Forrester. That was my only agenda. I had no other focus. But from the moment he opened the door and I saw him for the first time, I felt something. I knew that my life would never be the same. I know it sounds juvenile. I know that I've only known him a couple of days, but after all these years, Mother, I think I'm in love.

Tony: So you're afraid I might take advantage of Kristen.

Clarke: Tony, your stock's up right now. You're the hottest new name in the industry.

Tony: What are you implying? That I could have any woman I want?

Clarke: Yeah, except Kristen.

[Tony laughs]

Tony: Look, Clarke, I love women. I adore them all. They inspire me to do my job. You know, maybe it's because of my work that I respect women so much. You know, before Kristen, there was only one other woman in my life. She's gone now. Ellen's death would have been really hard to deal with if Kristen wasn't in my life. I won't hurt her, ever.

Deacon: I really don't want you to worry about Amber.

Bridget: I know you don't.

Deacon: Bridget, I'm not going to leave you.

Bridget: Promise me one thing.

Deacon: Anything.

Bridget: If you ever discover that you do have feelings for Amber, that you do want her back, promise you'll tell me, Deacon.

Little Eric: Daddy, Daddy.

Deacon: Hey, tiger! Come here. Come here, you! Get over here. Come see your dad. How you doing, buddy?

Kristen: Mother, I am so happy. I have never been in love -- not like this.

Stephanie: Well, you better not let Clarke hear you say that.

Kristen: Oh, Clarke was a mistake.

Stephanie: Especially don't let him hear you say that.

Kristen: No, Clarke and I never had any business getting married. But with Tony --

Stephanie: Wait, wait. You've only know this man for a couple of days.

Kristen: That's what's so incredible about it. I feel like we've always known each other. He's got me thinking about marriage and children.

Stephanie: Oh, stop. I mean, show a little restraint, please.

Kristen: Restraint? Mother, I can hardly keep my hands off of him. I wanna be with him all the time.

Stephanie: I always told your father that when you fell in love, you'd go like a ton of bricks, and I was right. There's nothing halfway about you, darling.

Kristen: Yeah, well, like Mother like daughter. So are we on for dinner?

Stephanie: Oh, absolutely. I want to meet this charmer.

Tony: Trust me, Clarke. Your ex-wife's in good hands.

Clarke: You know, Tony, there is one inherent problem.

Tony: What's that? That Kristen's a Forrester, and I work for Spectra?

Clarke: Well, that took it's toll on Sally. That's another ex-wife I'm protective about.

Tony: Look, man, I'm sorry, but I gave Sally my professional talent, and I don't plan on taking it back. But Kristen is now a part of my life, and that is something Sally is gonna have to learn how to accept.

Clarke: How about the Forresters? You think they're gonna accept it? You think you have a problem with Sally? You've never dealt with Stephanie Forrester or with Eric or with Ridge. You know, Kristen and I, we never had a chance. You know why? Because they shut me out completely. I wasn't on the country club registry. How could their daughter be involved with someone like that? Hey, Tony, what country club do you belong to, huh? Could be a problem, pal.

[Door closes]

Deacon: All right, let me use the motor boat. I'm gonna be the bad guys. You be the good guys on the jet ski, okay? Oh, don't take the boat. You'll kill yourself.

Amber: Where's Bridget?

Deacon: She has summer school classes.

Amber: I was picking up on some pretty heavy vibes.

Deacon: Yeah, I meant to -- I meant to talk to you about that. Wow. Is that what you've been hiding under all those baggy clothes?

Amber: So what's with you two?

Deacon: Oh, you didn't hear? Stephanie tried to get me on tape last night talking about Bridget, you. Don't worry about it. I mean, I figured it out. Bridget walked in, and Stephanie just went off. She started railing about how I'm just using Bridget to get to you.

Amber: And how did Bridget react?

Deacon: She asked me point-blank if I was using her. I lied. I really hate what I'm doing to this kid. She deserves so much better than this. I got to put an end to this, Amber. God, I want you so bad.

Amber: Oh, you know, I think it's time for Eric's nap. Come on, honey. Come here. Come on.

Deacon: That sounds like a good idea. Come on, pal, you wanna go for a nap? Yeah. Let's get you out of there and get you all dried off, water bug. Oh, yeah. Here, let me take him. All righty. I think a nap is an excellent idea. How about it?

Amber: Why did I just say that? What does he think I want to do?

Tony: Now, why wouldn't the Forresters accept you, huh? Because you're not royalty, you work for Spectra, and you're dating their daughter. Well, how's that for starters? Ay-yi-yi. One step at a time, kid.

[Knock at door]

Kristen: Hey.

Tony: Hi.

Kristen: Do I have a surprise for you!

Tony: Surprise, huh?

Kristen: Uh-huh. As in guess who's coming to dinner? I'm taking you home to meet my family.

Tony: When?

Kristen: Well, I was thinking about tonight.

Tony: Tonight?

Kristen: Oh, Mother really wants to meet you.

Tony: Oh, Mother. That's great.

Kristen: You're not nervous, are you?

Tony: No. Why would I be nervous. Kristen Forrester wants to bring her new boyfriend to meet the family, who happens to be Spectra's head designer.

Kristen: Oh, don't worry about that.

Tony: Yeah, it's easy for you to say.

Kristen: Oh, look, Dad'll read you the riot act, and my brothers, well, they'll be brothers.

Tony: Great.

Kristen: Tony, I am so happy. Everyone's worried it's gonna fall apart, but whatever happens with us, I just want you to know it will have been worth the way you have made me feel these last few days.

Tony: Stop talking like that, all right? Nothing's gonna fall apart.

Rick: Well, I'm walkin' through the front door, and you don't have to worry, because I am looking at it sitting on the counter. So I will be back soon. All right, bye. Amber's over at Deacon's. He's probably gonna hit on her. [Chuckles] What a fool. She'll never give in to him.

Amber: Come on, Amber. You can do this. You can resist. You are a married woman.

Deacon: Talking to yourself out here?

Amber: How's Little D?

Deacon: He's asleep. You know, I think setting him down for a nap was a really good idea. It's gonna give you and I a chance to talk.

Amber: Deacon, I have to leave.

Deacon: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Come on, you just got here. Relax, baby.

Amber: I really can't stay.

Deacon: It really freaks you out to be here alone with me, doesn't it?

Amber: Well, that's because you keep planting these thoughts in my head.

Deacon: I might plant them, but you water them, nurture them until they grow into something too big, hard to resist.

Amber: Please stop.

Deacon: They did not waste much material on that bikini, did they?

Amber: Rick bought it for me.

Deacon: Really? Did you try it on for him?

Amber: Of course.

Deacon: Did he take it off you? Because you know, that's what a bikini like this is for, so that a man can help you take it off.

Amber: Please stop.

Deacon: There's a term for that, isn't there?

Amber: What?

Deacon: You know, when you say one thing, but you really mean the opposite.

Amber: That's not what I'm doing.

Deacon: Oh, you know what I think? I think that you are like a dry sponge right now. You're just dying to drink in something wet, be filled up all the way, as much as you can take. Wouldn't it be absolutely incredible if you could just lie back and relax, let my hands just wander all over your body, exploring every single inch, and then doing the exact same thing with my lips and my tongue.

Amber: Deacon, I'm not --

Deacon: You're trembling. Do you tremble like this when Rick touches you? I don't think so. How about when he touches you like this, does it send electricity through your body? How 'bout when he touches you like this?

Amber: Please stop. Please stop.

Deacon: I can't stop. I couldn't stop, even if I wanted to, and I don't.

Amber: I'm a married woman, and I can't --

Deacon: I want you, Amber. I want all of you right now.

Amber: No, no. Oh, God, please help me.
