Tony: What did you say?

Chad: She's dead, Tony. She's dead.

Tony: Who? Chad, talk to me. Who? Who is dead?

Chad: She's gone, Tony. She's gone.

Tony: Who is gone, Chad? Kristen? Kristen Forrester's dead?

Chad: No, no, no, no. Ellen. My sister, Ellen.

Tony: Ellen? Oh, no.

Chad: My mother called while I was outside, and they found her body today. Police say that -- that it was an overdose.

Tony: An overdose? Ellen doesn't take drugs. She wouldn't even touch them. There's gotta be some kind of a mistake.

Chad: Are you sure?

Tony: Yeah. She never touched them while she was with me, not even after we broke up. It's a mistake.

Chad: I can't believe it either. I just -- my beautiful sister, Ellen, is dead. I have to go home, Tony. My family needs me.

Tony: Let me take you to the airport, okay?

Chad: No, no, no, no, no, no. This is -- this is your big day. You can't leave.

Tony: Listen, Spectra's got a limo outside. Why don't you take it?

Chad: Thank you, my friend. I'll see you there in a couple of days, okay?

Clarke: Sally, where were you?

Sally: I was looking for Sofia.

Clarke: What, you and Sofia are gonna gang up on Kristen?

Sally: I am simply going to make sure that Ms. Forrester leaves the premises, all right?

Clarke: Well, I think she knew she wasn't welcome.

Darla: Hey, guys. I found her.

[Speaking Spanish]

Sally: All right, what happened?

Sofia: How dare that woman come here, throwing herself at Tony in front of the press. It was disgusting!

Sally: Did you have a confrontation with her?

Sofia: No! She jumped in her car and drove away like a thief.

Sally: It's okay. It's all right. Now, listen to me. No one is going to steal Antonio away from you or from this company. Kristen Forrester may have tried to turn his head a little bit, but she won't succeed. She is not going to lure him away.

Clarke: He's our designer. Antonio Dominguez is going to help put Spectra back in the black. So don't worry about Kristen. Don't worry about the Forresters, because this is our moment, and nothing is going to spoil it.

Bridget: So I'm starting with a spinach Salad with mandarin oranges and the balsamic vinaigrette, which is easy. I'm just hoping the game hens are gonna turn out okay. What's wrong?

Brooke: I'm sorry, honey. It's just kind of hard for me to see you doing all this for him.

Bridget: Mom, I'm cooking dinner for my husband. What's wrong with that?

Brooke: It just breaks my heart to see you so excited about this.

Bridget: Of course I'm excited, and not just about dinner. Mom, this is a great time for me. I really wish you could understand that.

Deacon: Bridget, baby, you think you could bring me a lemonade, please?

Brooke: What was that?

Bridget: It's Deacon. I'll be right back.

Brooke: He has you waiting on him?

Bridget: I'm taking care of him.

Brooke: Honey, he's treating you like a servant.

Bridget: Mom, he's on crutches. Maybe if Dad hadn't hit him with a car, he'd be able to get his own drink. Excuse me.

Ridge: So Sally actually believes she's gonna hurt us with this new line?

Thorne: She's sure of it.

Ridge: Look, I know this Antonio guy is good, but we're talking about Spectra Fashions here. They can't compete with us.

Thorne: Ridge, this isn't a competition. This is war -- no surrender, no prisoners. Sally is determined to wipe us out here, man.

Ridge: And our little sister just walked right into her line of fire. What the hell was Kristen thinking?

Kristen: Well, you can quit worrying about me, big brother. I'm back.

Ridge: Well, that was fast.

Thorne: Don't tell me the collection bombed?

Kristen: Oh, no. No, it was a huge success. Unfortunately, Sally and her crew didn't feel like sharing their triumph with me.

Ridge: What about Antonio?

Kristen: Ridge, he's amazing. Antonio Dominguez is the most interesting man I have ever met.

[Cheers and applause]

Clarke: Ladies and gentleman --

Sally: Sevoras and sevors --

Clarke: We would like to introduce you to the gentleman who brought you these beautiful designs here today.

Sally: He is America's newest fashion sensation -- he is Spectra's own Antonio Dominguez!

[Cheers and applause]

Clarke: Let's welcome him.

[Cheers and applause]

Tony: Thank you. Thank you. Gracias. Thank you all for coming.

Reporter #1: Antonio, are you happy with the reaction your designs have been getting tonight?

Tony: I am thrilled. I will be happier once the orders start rolling in.

Reporter #2: There has been some speculation about Forrester Creations. Is it true they're looking at your work as well?

Tony: They have shown some interest, yes, but I can assure you that my professional loyalty, no matter how intriguing Forrester sounds, lies with Spectra Fashions.

Sally: And you know that we are absolutely delighted and feel very fortunate to have Mr. Dominguez as part of our design team.

Tony: Thank you.

Reporter #3: And how did that happen? Tell us, Tony. You could've picked any design house in America. What convinced you to go with Spectra?

Tony: The people -- Sally, Darla, Clarke -- they're all committed to one thing, and it's to design a sophisticated, stylish dress that is affordable. Sally understands that a beautiful dress, beautiful clothes don't have to be outrageously expensive. Now, this is a dream that we have at Spectra and that Spectra and I are gonna make a reality.

[Cheers and applause]

Tony: Now, I'm very sorry. I cannot stay.

Clark: Come on, Tony. We're just getting started here. More questions.

Tony: I know you all have a lot of questions, and I would love to stay here to answer them, but unfortunately, I just found out recently that a very dear friend of mine has just passed away.

Sally: Oh, my God. Tony, I'm so sorry. That's terrible.

Tony: This was a very dear friend of mine. She was a beautiful, young, vibrant woman. I just can't believe that she's gone.

Clarke: I think that's -- that's it for questions. If you need press kits, Darla will give them to you at the door. Sally, anything else to say?

Sally: Yes. Thank you. Muchas gracias. Thank you all for coming.

Clarke: Good night.

[Cheers and applause]

Bridget: Mom, I'm sorry. I know you wanted to talk, but I really need to run to the store for some things.

Brooke: He said something to you, didn't he? That's why you're rushing off. He doesn't want you to talk to me, right?

Bridget: No, I'm just busy. Look, you can come if you want, but if all you're gonna do is badmouth my husband--

Brooke: Honey, I just want to know you're okay.

Bridget: I told you, Mom, I'm fine. Okay, I'm happy.

Brooke: Are you using your birth control pills?

Bridget: Yes.

Brooke: You know they take about a month to work, so I want you to insist on using condoms, okay?

Bridget: Please, can we just talk about this in the car, please?

Deacon: Oh, hey, girls.

Brooke: Honey, look, I'm gonna stay, okay?

Bridget: Why?

Brooke: You can't just leave those game hens in the oven like that.

Deacon: It's okay.

Bridget: Okay, you can stay, but I don't want you bothering Deacon, okay? He needs his rest.

Deacon: Brooke, this is an unexpected, yet pleasant surprise, seeing my mother-in-law. Oh, that daughter of yours, she is sweet, isn't she? You know the thing that I think the most I like the most about the young ones is that they just dote on their men.

Brooke: Don't you have a conscience? How can you do this to her? She's a sweet, innocent young girl.

Deacon: She's not really a girl, Brooke. She's 18, and in case you forgot, she's really not that innocent anymore, now is she?

Thorne: What are you saying?

Kristen: I'm saying this could be it, the real thing.

Ridge: What about the girlfriend?

Kristen: No, no. She's not his girlfriend. Well, they used to date, but it wasn't serious.

Ridge: Kristen, she tried to attack you today.

Thorne: Listen, this may just be gossip, okay, but I hear that this woman has a violent streak.

Kristen: Don't worry. I can handle Sofia. Don't look like that. God, a few days ago, I didn't care if I ever met Mr. Right, but here he is, and I am not gonna let anyone or anything keep us apart.

Sally: Have you seen Antonio?

Darla: I think he's gone, Sal.

Sally: Somebody should have tried to stop him. He shouldn't be alone right now.

Sofia: He's grieving. He will not wish company.

Sally: Well, he must have been very close to this girl who died.

Sofia: Since childhood. Poor Tony. He is devastated. Ellen was an innocente, always contenta -- not a girl to die of too much drugs.

Sally: A drug overdose?

Sofia: It's beyond thinking. It's -- how do you say? Muy extrava? It's very strange.

Ridge: Look, sis, I think it's great that you've found someone who interests you, but the way you're talking here, all this Mr. Right stuff, I mean, shouldn't you slow down a little bit.

Thorne: Yeah. What do you really know about this guy, huh? I mean, he didn't even tell you about Sofia.

Ridge: What if she's not the only thing he's hiding from you?

Kristen: He hasn't been keeping anything from me.

[Phone rings]

Kristen: Excuse me. Kristen Forrester.

Tony: Kristen, it's Antonio.

Kristen: Tony, hi.

Tony: I need to see you.

Kristen: Okay. Is the party over?

Tony: Yeah. I'm on my way home. Could you meet me there?

Kristen: Sure. Is everything okay? You seem stressed.

Tony: I don't want to get into on the phone. I'll explain everything to you when you get there.

Kristen: Okay. I'll be there as soon as I can.

Brooke: Don't you dare talk about my daughter that way. She didn't lose her innocence. You stole it!

Deacon: I didn't force Bridget to do anything that she didn't want to do.

Brooke: You lied to her. You convinced her that you were in love with her, and then you forced her into a marriage that you don't even give a damn about.

Deacon: That's not entirely true. If Amber won't come back to me, I've got every intention of making this relationship work.

Brooke: You'd do that? You would stay married to my little girl just to spite us?

Deacon: No. No, ticking you off is an added bonus. I'm gonna make this work so I can be close to my son. You see, as long as I'm married to Bridget, I can see little d any time I want. You see, this isn't about you and your family. Hell, this isn't even about Bridget. This is about my boy. Amber and my son are the only things that matter to me, and I will do whatever I have to do to stay close to them.

Tony: I'm sorry. I don't mean to burden you.

Kristen: You just lost a dear friend. You have every right to be upset.

Tony: Yeah, but it's not a reason to get you upset.

Kristen: You're not. I'm glad you called me.

Tony: Me, too. I didn't have anyone else to call.

Kristen: What about Sofia? Didn't she know your friend?

Tony: Yeah, she knew Ellen. She was always jealous of her. A long time ago, before Sofia, we were lovers.

Kristen: I see.

Tony: Still, I mean, there wasn't any reason for Sofia to be jealous of her. Ellen never was a threat to anybody. She had the heart of an angel. Her laughter would just sound like music. Her smile would light up any room. I wish you could have met her.

Kristen: She sounds sweet.

Tony: She was. That's why I'm having a really hard time accepting her death.

Kristen: You had no idea?

Tony: I wish I would have known.

Kristen: You hadn't seen her in a long time.

Tony: We talked on the phone not too long ago. She seemed fine, happier than ever. That's why this doesn't make sense.

Kristen: This kind of tragedy never does.

Tony: No, there is more to it. There's a mystery here, and I'm gonna get to the bottom of it for Ellen, for Chad and his family. I'm gonna find out the truth.

Kristen: What can I do? I mean, just tell me what you need. I will do anything I can to help.

Brooke: Are you listening to me, Deacon?

Deacon: I think you lost me somewhere around, um, "you got some nerve."

Brooke: You find this amusing?

Deacon: No, Brooke, I don't find this amusing at all.

Brooke: Oh, that's right. You've changed. You're not the same power- hungry ego-maniac you were months ago. You don't want to hurt Bridget. And you're doing this for the love of your son.

Deacon: Now you're starting to get it.

Brooke: No. I don't buy that martyr routine. Amber might, but I don't. I know you haven't changed. You don't give a damn about Bridget. All you care about is yourself.

Deacon: Hey, I didn't ask for this to end up this way, all right? I gave you people every single chance that I could. Hell, I even came to you personally, didn't I, Brooke? And I said, "please, please, don't force my hand." It's not my fault that you didn't listen to me.

Brooke: Yeah, what did you want us to do? Wrap up Amber and little Eric and put him on your doorstep like a Christmas present? There's nothing we can do if Amber doesn't want to be with you.

Deacon: Oh, that is such bull. You people can make the sun stop shining if you wanted. You know, the more I think about this, maybe -- maybe you guys really don't care about Bridget.

Brooke: Don't you dare.

Deacon: I mean, think about for a second. You know I don't love her. You know what this is gonna do to her when she finds out. And she will find out, Brooke, sooner or later. Now, I know that Amber thinks that she loves your son. But you and me, we know better, don't we? We've been around the block. We know that Amber's passion lies with me. She won't be able to deny that forever, will she? Maybe for a couple months, maybe for a year, but sooner or later it's going to come out. And when it does, we will be a family again. And Amber will leave Rick. And I will leave your daughter, and you will be left with the knowledge that you could have done something to stop this but you didn't. Now, all of Bridget's pain and all of Bridget's disappointment, will be on your head, not mine. I got nothing to feel guilty about. I've done everything I can to keep my son away from you people. And that's why for the life of me, I can't understand why you were so damn arrogant that you won't do the one thing that will protect your daughter from me.

Brooke: Don't you dare say that to me. I would do anything -- anything I had to do to protect my daughter from you! And the fact that you can just stand there and say you have no remorse for what you're doing to Bridget! That is sick. Deacon, you are a sick, evil person. Bridget is not some kind of bargaining chip here. She is a human being. She is my daughter, my little girl. And what you've done to her -- God, I hate you for that. I hate you so much! I hate you! I hate you! I hate you! Listen to me. Listen -- I will end this marriage. And if you think you're going to come out of this unscathed, forget it. You're gonna feel our pain. I promise you that!
