["Wedding March" plays]
Amber: How long I've waited for this -- to be part of this family, to give Becky's precious little boy a home. He'll be safe for the rest of his life, because today I become a Forrester.
Minister: Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in the presence of family, friends and in the presence of God to celebrate the love between Amber and Rick.
Sally: Another splendid occasion for the Forrester family to celebrate. You know, it's been an absolutely brilliant year for them. I wonder if they have any idea how blessed they are.
Clarke: Sally, the Forresters never know how blessed they are. They always take it for granted.
Sally: And yet, ever since the night of Macy's accident when she died, the Forresters have had nothing but good fortune. I think there's something very wrong with that.
Clarke: Well, this marriage isn't exactly good fortune. I'll tell you one thing -- it wasn't created in the stars.
Sally: Oh, come on, Clarke, every young couple has its troubles. But in this case, these two will have Stephanie and Eric and Ridge and Taylor and the rest of the Forrester hierarchy to rally around them when help is needed.
Darla: Well, I know someone who'd like to see this marriage explode even before it starts.
Sally: You're talking about Mr. Deacon Sharpe. I'm sure he is holed up somewhere feeling very wounded.
Clarke: Well, the man lost his son, he lost his girlfriend. He's gonna be hurt. He'll do anything.
Sally: What can he do, Clarke? What can a cheap grifter like Deacon Sharpe do to fight the mighty Forrester war machine? You know, I'm afraid we have to face it. That family seems absolutely invincible these days.
Bridget: Take it easy, okay? We're almost there.
Bridget: I'm glad we're doing this, Deacon. I wasn't at first, but I am now.
Deacon: Yeah, me, too. I want your family to know about us. I figure the longer we wait, the harder it's gonna be, right?
Bridget: Yeah, and what better timing, huh? A family wedding -- it's like love's in the air. I mean --
Deacon: No, you're right. Love is in the air.
Minister: And so, through Amber and Rick, we are reminded today of the love in our lives. Let us bow our heads in prayer. Dear God, give Amber and Rick your special blessing on this their wedding day as you send them forth into life together. They will henceforth be one. And we, their witnesses, are reawakened this day to the power of love. Amen.
Deacon: I'm doing this for you, Amber -- you and Little D. Let's see how the Forresters react when I walk in with sweet, little Bridget on my arm. That ought to bring this wedding to a screeching halt.
Clarke: I can't believe Brooke is supporting this wedding.
Sally: Well, from what I hear, Brooke has been very busy trying to mend her fences with the queen bee, and she's got to know that Stephanie's all in favor of this wedding.
Darla: I just don't get it. So she's giving up her son to get closer to Stephanie?
Sally: Well, I think Brooke knows how determined Rick is to marry Amber. So I guess she has decided not to fight it.
Clarke: So Brooke's not gonna do anything. But I tell you the person who has the most to lose from this wedding -- Deacon Sharpe.
Sally: Well, of course. But like I said before, in a fight with the Forresters, he's way out of his league.
Clarke: Well, he held things up this long.
Sally: But eventually he did cave in, didn't he? He gave the Forresters absolutely everything they wanted, and they didn't even have to pay him the money they promised.
Clarke: Yeah, and the kind of guy that Deacon Sharpe is, you think he's gonna stand for that?
Sally: I don't know, Clarke. I just don't know.
Bridget: You really are nervous. I've never seen this side of you before. It's kind of cute.
Deacon: I guess I am kind of skittish, huh? It's just -- I want to make a good impression on your family.
Bridget: You will. You know why?
Deacon: No, tell me.
Bridget: Because one look at me and they'll instantly know how much I care about you and how happy you make me. Don't worry, Deacon. You'll get the reaction you want.
Deacon: I hope so, 'cause I'm counting on it.
Minister: Rick, you have chosen Amber to be your wife. Will you live with her, cherish her, protect her? Will you invite her into your heart in times of joy and in times of sorrow? Will you always be true to Amber?
Rick: I will.
Minister: Amber, you have chosen Rick to be your husband. Will you live with him, cherish him, protect him? Will you invite him into your heart in times of joy and in times of sorrow? Will you always be true to Rick?
Amber: I will.
Minister: Will you now vow your love to each other?
Rick: Mom, you can open your eyes. This is the last time I'm gonna say vows like this to anyone -- for the rest of my life.
Clarke: There's no doubt about it, Deacon Sharpe is not gonna let the Forresters get away with this.
Darla: Oh, come on. What could he possibly do? They're probably married already.
Sally: Well, that is the $64 million question, isn't it? Exactly what can Mr. Deacon Sharpe do to get revenge and gain retribution from the mighty Forresters?
Deacon: Okay. Let's go show them what we got, huh, babe?
Bridget: Okay, I'd like that.
Rick: Amber, I join you in marriage today. It's a second beginning for us - - a day that I've prayed for, one of the most important days of my life. But after today, it's no longer my life, it's our life. We face it with each other. The joys and the sorrows, the successes and the failures -- we'll encounter it all, together. More laughter, more tears, more children someday -- all of those moments begin now, with this moment, our moment. So take my hand, and let's begin to walk through the rest of our life as a married couple knowing that nothing can come between us. And at night, we'll face each other, just like we are now, and whatever differences we encountered that day, we'll put them aside. Because nothing -- no issue, no person, no disagreement -- is more important than what we share. And what we share is love, powerful and true -- our most treasured possession. From this day forward, Amber, I am yours forever.
Bridget: You ready?
Deacon: Yeah, I've never been more ready.
Bridget: It's gonna be all right, Deacon.
Deacon: I know it is. It's gonna be fine.
Minister: Amber, will you pledge your love to Rick?
Amber: Rick -- I came into your world years ago as a girl who knew heartache, rejection and pain -- a girl who knew nothing about love. You and your family, you taught me that. You taught me everything decent and good that I know. And today, I look around this room and I see Stephanie and Taylor and Brooke -- all the Forrester women. I have admired them so deeply. And I stand in front of them humble and hopeful. I commit myself to being -- to be as worthy a wife as each of them are. I commit myself to helping you make your dreams come true. I promise you, Rick, that I will always be here for you, whenever you need me, however you need me. Because my happiness is your happiness, and my joy is your joy. I will make you proud to stand next to me all the days of your life. And I will love you all the days of mine.
Minister: Into this sacred covenant, Rick and Amber come now to be joined. If any of you can show just cause as to why they should not be married, speak now or forever after hold your peace. Will you hand the rings to Rick and Amber, please?
Amber: The ring, Mother Forrester.
Minister: Rick and Amber, you have pledged yourselves to each other. May your lives be an example to all of us --
Bridget: Let's go find a seat.
Minister: Not only of the power of love, but of the joy of facing life together.
Deacon: Hey, listen --
Minister: Let us celebrate this sacred --
Deacon: No matter what happens today -- no matter what they might say, I want you to remember something. You're the only girl I care about, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
Minister: Rick, do you take Amber as your wife, to love her even as Christ loves the church, to protect and care for her the rest of your lives? If that is your intent, say, "I do."
Rick: I do.
Minister: Place the ring on her finger as you speak your vows.
Rick: I, Rick, here and now, in front of God and all these witnesses, take you, Amber, to be my lawfully wedded wife. I shall comfort you in times of sorrow, guard you in times of trouble. I shall help you in all your endeavors and stand by you in pleasure and in pain. From this moment, Amber, we shall be one.
Minister: Amber, place the ring on his finger and speak your vows.
Eric: Reverend, stop this. Stop this right now.
Eric: What are you doing here?
Bridget: Dad, you didn't have to stop the wedding.
Eric: Answer me, Deacon. What are you doing here?
Bridget: What does it look like he's doing here?
Eric: Get out!
Bridget: Dad, he's my date.
Eric: Your date?!
Ridge: Deacon, you're outta here now.
Bridget: Will you people stop?! I don't believe you!
Amber: What's going on here? Deacon, you came with Bridget?
Deacon: Amber, you're in love with Rick. I've fallen in love with Bridget. I mean, I thought you of all people would be happy for me. I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable here. This is your day. Why don't we just get on with the ceremony?
