Amanda: Excuse me.
Sam: What in the hell are you doing here?
Amanda: I came by to talk to you. You weren't here.
Sam: Then you should have left.
Amanda: I was waiting for you. I just fell asleep by accident.
Sam: You have no right to come in here. This isn't your place anymore.
Amanda: I just wanted to talk to you.
Sam: Not now.
Amanda: It will only take a couple of minutes. I promise.
Olivia: Sam, let's let her say what she has to say.
Sam: Make it quick.
Amanda: Alone, I want to talk to you alone.
Sam: Oh, no, forget that.
Sam: Whatever you have to say, I want Olivia to hear. She is part of my life now whether you like it or not.
Jake: I love you best of all, Paulina. I never loved Marley, only you. Only you, Paulina. You were the only one that I have ever loved.
Cass: No, no more! I don't want you saying anything!
Ryan: Let her talk.
Cass: Not yet, not until you and I have a chance to talk --
Marley: Cass, I want to get this over with. I want to tell the truth.
Cass: You don't have to do anything right now.
Ryan: You're doing the right thing.
Cass: Talk to me first.
Marley: I don't need to talk to you, Cass!
Cass: Listen to me, Marley.
Marley: I didn't do anything wrong! I did fight with Jake.
And I fought with him because he forced me...
Ryan: To do what?
Marley: To have sex with him.
Marley: He tried to rape me, and that is why I fought with him.
Ryan: And then you shot him?
Ryan: Marley, there was blood on your coat.
Marley: I did not shoot him!
Ryan: Your clothing underneath his fingernails.
Marley: I just told you why.
Cass: Please don't say any more.
Marley: You told me that if I told the truth, that nothing would happen!
Ryan: I don't have a choice anymore, Marley! I'm placing you under arrest.
Rachel: Oh, I've looked forward to this all day. That, too.
Ken: You realize how long it's been since we have actually been alone together for an entire evening?
Rachel: Too long.
Ken: Please, let's not let that happen again.
Rachel: I'll do my part.
Ken: All right, here's the plan.
Ken: I make a reservation at Albion's. We take my car, put the top down, you change --
Rachel: Oh, um.
Ken: All right, forget the plan.
Rachel: Oh, no. No, it's a lovely plan. It would be such fun, but could we do it another night?
Ken: Sure, no problem.
Rachel: I just think I would feel more comfortable if I were to stay here and have dinner tonight and we could just sit around and talk and, oh, gosh, that sounds boring.
Ken: No, wait a minute. That sounds fine. I just thought you might like to get out of here.
Rachel: Oh, I -- not tonight.
Rachel: Oh, well, it's always something, isn't it?
Ken: What is it tonight? Paulina?
Rachel: How did you know?
Ken: She came by to see me earlier. Ada was there, and I thought she might have mentioned it.
Rachel: No, I haven't seen her all day.
Ken: What's with Paulina?
Rachel: Well, she's just a wreck. Haven't you noticed?
Ken: Yes, of course I have.
Rachel: And the police keep coming by and interrogating her about all of this Jake business.
Ken: They do?
Rachel: She's not handling it very well.
Paulina: No, please --
Jake: You can't get rid of me that easily.
Paulina: Did you mean it, Jake? Did you mean it when you said you loved me?
Jake: Loved you? You gotta be kidding.
Paulina: But you said it.
Jake: Said what?
Paulina: You said you loved me more than you love Marley.
Jake: Oh, no, no, I never said that, Paulina. I never said that.
Paulina: Yes, you did. You did.
Jake: You believed it?
Paulina: You made love to me.
Jake: You're right, I did. I said that I loved you better than Marley.
Jake: Because I went temporarily insane. How could I love a sneaky little liar like you? Every word you say is a lie. You're lying right now, Paulina. You can't stop but lie. All you do is lie!
Paulina: Stop it!
Jake: You're a liar, Paulina!
Paulina: Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! Ok.
Jake: You know what gets me? One day, you got the hots for me. You're all over me like a cheap suit and the next day you want me dead. Just because I found out that you're not Paulina Cory and that you and Ken lie to Rachel each and every day. Now, is that any reason to want a guy dead?
Paulina: I didn't.
Jake: Why didn't you just admit it, Paulina? Why don't you tell the truth for once? We've had enough of your lies. Enough of your lies!
Jake: Enough lies, Paulina.
Rachel: Liar. Liar. Liar. Liar.
Rachel: Liar. Liar.
Rachel: Liar. Liar. Liar. Liar. Liar. Liar.
Paulina: [Screaming] No. No. No.
Carlos: You have the right to remain silent.
Cass: Oh, are you serious?
Carlos: If you give up the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you. Do you understand?
Cass: Of course she understands.
Carlos: You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney --
Cass: She knows she has a right to me.
Carlos: One will be provided for you. Do you understand?
Cass: This is a travesty. Honey, they don't have anything.
Ryan: We have enough to arrest her.
Cass: What have you got? You've got nothing. Certainly not a case.
Carlos: Do you understand your rights as they've been read to you?
Ryan: The blood on the coat, Cass, that's real bad.
Cass: Anybody could have been wearing that coat. You're crazy if you think this will ever go up before a jury.
Marley: All I did was tell Jake that I couldn't marry him again. He came after me like an animal, and I am the one that's being arrested.
Ryan: Ok, Carlos, better take her down and book her.
Cass: Hey, look at her. She's not in any shape for that now.
Ryan: Look, we'll use kid gloves. Don't worry.
Cass: Hey, I've seen people booked in here. Hell, I've been booked in here. Don't give me that --
Ryan: Carlos will personally assign an officer to walk her through the whole thing.
Carlos: She's a good officer.
Cass: You must be real proud of yourself about this one, Harrison.
Ryan: I'm trying to do the best thing that I can for her, damn it.
Carlos: Should I get the escort now?
Ryan: Yeah. What, do you think I like this?
Ryan: Ok, Marley, I'm gonna try and make this as painless as possible for you. I'm gonna cut the papers up here, and I'm gonna notify our press-relations guy that no reporter should even come near you, ok?
Cass: Oh, terrific. You've been swell.
Carlos: All set.
Cass: Well, we're not all set, if you don't mind. I'd like to have a few minutes to confer with my client, please.
Ryan: Yeah, sure. Take all the time you like.
Look, look, I'll get you out of here as soon as possible. I don't want you to worry. By the time they have you booked, I will have found a judge, we will have posted bail. You'll be sleeping in your own bed tonight.
Marley: I want you to do me a favor, Cass.
Marley: Don't tell Michael and Donna.
Cass: Well, honey, Michael won't stand for that.
Marley: I'll tell them when I'm released.
Cass: They are your parents.
Marley: Please, Cass. I just don't want them any more upset than they already are. Please promise me you'll do that.
Cass: You're the client. Anything else?
Let's get this over with.
Cass: I'll be back for you real soon.
A big mistake, Ryan.
Ryan: Yeah, I sure as hell hope so.
Vicky: Who is it?
Jamie: It's Jamie.
Vicky: She's not here.
Jamie: Marley's not?
Vicky: No, I'm talking about the other girl that lives here.
Jamie: We were supposed to go for a drive.
Vicky: Yeah, well, she stood you up. She went for a drive with Ryan instead.
Vicky: To the police station.
Jamie: You're kidding me.
Vicky: No, I wish I were. She had to, uh -- she had to give him the clothes she was wearing the night Jake was shot.
Jamie: I can't believe things have gotten this far.
Vicky: Tell me about it. I don't care what she says, I'm calling him anyway.
Jamie: This is crazy. Marley wouldn't shoot anyone; she couldn't.
Vicky: I know she couldn't, Jamie.
Vicky: Who is this?
Carlos: Officer Morales.
Vicky: Oh, Carlos, honey, how's it going?
Carlos: Who is this?
Vicky: This is -- this is Vicky Hudson. Can you tell me about my sister, please?
Carlos: I'm not free to say.
Vicky: Oh, come on, Carlos. I'm -- um -- supposed to send a car to pick her up, and I can't do that if I don't know when she's gonna be finished.
Carlos: There's been a change of plans, Miss Hudson.
Vicky: A -- a change of plans? Well, I love a change of plans. It gets my adrenaline going.
Carlos: They're booking your sister right now.
Vicky: They're booking her?
Vicky: They can't do that. Crap, this cannot be happening.
Jamie: Come on, we'll take my car.
Vicky: All right. I am going to kill Ryan Harrison.
Amanda: Just two minutes.
Sam: Olivia's staying.
Amanda: Uh, Sam, I can't say what I want to say in front of her.
Olivia: Well, why don't I just --
Sam: No, you're staying.
Amanda: You can't do this to me.
Olivia: I don't think that I should be here.
Amanda: I want to make amends.
Sam: Amanda, when are you gonna get it through your head that it's too late?
Amanda: It's not too late. It's never too late for two people --
Sam: For two people that what?
Amanda: Why don't you believe how sorry I am?
Sam: That's what this is all about, isn't it? You just want me to believe how sorry you are so you can start over. Then everything is good as new.
Sam: That's what this is really all about, isn't it? It certainly isn't about making me feel any better. It's about absolving Amanda Cory so she can lose this guilty conscience of hers and start everything all over again, be happy and free.
Amanda: What's wrong with wanting to be happy?
Sam: Amanda, you know, someday you're gonna have to realize that the Cory name does not guarantee everything for you.
Amanda: That's not what I think.
Sam: Isn't it? When you were buying me art shows, when you were messing around with Evan, seems like you got everything you pleased to get. Well, I got news for you. When you spit in someone's face, especially someone who loved you, you're gonna have to pay for it, just like the rest of the world. You're gonna hurt, just like real people, just like I did.
Paulina: Rachel, what -- what are you doing here?
Rachel: You were screaming, honey.
Paulina: Oh, it was awful.
Ken: Is she ok?
Rachel: Yes, I think so.
Paulina: Yeah, I'm fine. I'm sorry, I'm really sorry to bother you both.
Rachel: It's all right.
Paulina: Oh, I'm just so embarrassed. I haven't had nightmares since I was a little kid.
Ken: We all have them, kiddo.
Paulina: I think it's probably -- is probably just something I had for dinner, you know.
Ken: Well, why don't I ask Helen to bring you up a club soda or a cup of tea --
Rachel: That's not it, is it?
Rachel: It wasn't something you ate. You're still afraid.
Paulina: No, no, I'm fine. I am. I think I just ate too much, and then I went to bed with a full stomach. I never sleep well when I do that. You can both go now, really. I -- I'm fine.
Ken: You're sure?
Paulina: Yeah, yeah, I feel great. Thank you.
Rachel: Paulina, my children can never convince me that everything's fine when it isn't.
Paulina: But I really am --
Rachel: Fine, yes. Well, we both know that's not true, so why don't we stop pretending?
Paulina: Rachel, there's nothing --
Rachel: Do you think I'm oblivious to everything that goes on in this house? Do you think I haven't noticed that you're on edge all the time?
Paulina: Well, it's been a very strange time for me.
Rachel: Paulina, just tell me what's bothering you. Honey, you're a member of this family now. Nothing you tell me will change that.
Paulina: Rachel --
Ken: Paulina, you hear what she's saying? Tell her everything, for your own good.
Paulina: All of my life, I have been in one kind of trouble or another. I don't know if it's because I was an orphan. I figured it didn't matter to anybody, what I did or who I was. But even as I'm saying that, I know it's no excuse because plenty of people have had worse childhoods than I did. They didn't make a mess of things.
Rachel: Have you made a mess of things?
Paulina: Somehow, I have always been the one who was blamed for things.
Rachel: People didn't give you a chance?
Ken: What are you getting at, Paulina?
Paulina: When Jake was shot, I was afraid that the same thing was going to happen. That just because I knew him, they were gonna come around and -- and suspect me.
Rachel: Why? You were here that whole evening.
Paulina: I know, I know, it's ridiculous, but I just couldn't stop the old tapes from playing in my head. You know, the feeling that I had to fight to keep what was important to me because if I didn't, they were going to take it away because nobody else was gonna protect me.
Rachel: I know that feeling.
Paulina: You do?
Rachel: Paulina, when I was your age, I didn't feel I belonged either. I felt that everyone was trying to keep me from getting what I wanted. That they wanted me to fail, and so when they would treat me like that...
Paulina: Like Iris?
Rachel: Oh, most especially Iris. She was the worst. She was wild when she found out that Mac and I were in love.
Paulina: When you married Mac, did all those feelings change?
Rachel: No. No, for years, I still felt I didn't belong, that I had to be on guard. I was very insecure.
Paulina: But you got over it.
Rachel: I had Mac.
Paulina: I wish he was here.
Rachel: So do I. Paulina, I know the problem.
Paulina: You do?
Rachel: Why don't we be honest?
Paulina: All right.
Rachel: The problem is you're not a Cory.
Amanda: Do you think that because I'm a Cory that I'm not hurting?
Olivia: Look, I really feel that I --
Sam: You can't face the fact that you screwed up. Now you're trying to lay the blame on me.
Amanda: I'm not blaming anybody.
Sam: Ok, then I'll take care of the honors. I blame you, Amanda, for ruining our marriage because you slept with Evan and you bought everything he had to say.
Amanda: You were already pulling away from me.
Sam: See, you're doing it again.
Amanda: We were already having problems. It's not as if I went off and acted like some --
Sam: Cheap slut?
Amanda: Things were more complicated than you know.
Olivia: Sam, couldn't you two just --
Amanda: How else could you have rebounded so quickly?
Amanda: You're not over me. There's no way.
Olivia: I am not a rebound --
Amanda: You are a fool if you think that you are anything else. Sam and I had a marriage. We had a child. We had a life together. You think he's forgotten all of that already?
Sam, just talk this through with me, ok? Maybe not tonight, but sometime. For Alli's sake. For our family's sake.
Sam: Oh, my God.
Sam: Oh, you really impress me. You actually almost had me going there.
Sam: Evan did one thing for you, I can tell you that. He taught you something because you lie like a real pro now.
Officer: You gotta be kidding me.
Jamie: Look, we need to talk to the officer in charge.
Officer: No, that's not a dent, it's a --
Officer: Hey, who do you think you are?
Vicky: This is about Marley McKinnon.
Officer: Uh, I'll -- I'll get somebody.
Jamie: Thank you.
Vicky: I hope you're satisfied.
Jamie: What are you talking about?
Vicky: You never should have taken her to the cabin.
Jamie: What does that have to do with anything?
Vicky: You kept pressuring her, Jamie.
Jamie: You're not making sense.
Vicky: You told her that she had to break up with Jake.
Jamie: Vicky, this isn't helping anyone, ok?
Vicky: She went and split up with him because you kept hammering her about how bad he was for her. And she had to do it right away, without any warning, which is why he came and, uh --
Jamie: And what? What were you about to say?
Cass: Hey, I heard you two were here.
Vicky: Marley was arrested?
Jamie: We just got here.
Cass: Yeah, I've been trying to track down a judge all night to set bail.
Vicky: How much is it?
Cass: Well, unfortunately there's no judge available until tomorrow.
Cass: So we won't be able to post bail until then.
Vicky: Cass, she is not staying in this place all night.
Jamie: Vicky, if you could be quiet for a minute.
Vicky: Don't tell me to be quiet!
Jamie: Listen, my mother has some connections. Maybe we can get a bail hearing tonight.
Vicky: Is that gonna work?
Cass: It's worth a shot.
Vicky: Well, it better work, Cass. Because if she has to stay in this place all night, it's all your fault.
Cass: Let's go, Jamie. Let's make some calls.
Vicky: What -- what about me?
Cass: You stay here, you calm down, and you keep your mouth shut. You got it?
Cass: Good. Come on, Jamie. I'm not sure even Cory connections can swing this thing tonight.
Vicky: Take your hand off me.
I want to see my sister. Take me to Marley now.
Amanda: I know you didn't mean that.
Sam: I've never meant anything more in my life.
Amanda: I just wanted to talk to you.
Sam: You just wanted to get everything your way, and you're willing to go to any length to do it.
Olivia: Me? You're the one who had to go through all that.
Sam: But it's not your problem. I never should have talked to her. I just didn't want her ordering you around like that.
Olivia: You wanted me here, I was here.
Did it bother you that she saw us?
Sam: No, at least she knows now that we're more than just friends.
Olivia: I want to be everything to you, Sam. Everything.
Paulina: What do you mean, I'm not a Cory?
Rachel: Paulina, there's a lot more to being part of this family than just who your parents are. Oh, yes, there's all the wealth to deal with and the relationships. And you're not used to dealing with that, so that would be stressful and not very pleasant. And maybe that's where the nightmares are coming from.
Paulina: I don't understand.
Rachel: Paulina, the legacy of Mac Cory isn't his wealth. It's the kind of life he led. The way he treated people. It had to do with honesty and integrity.
Paulina: You don't think I'm living up to that?
Rachel: I don't know. Only you can answer that. But if you want to be someone that Mac would be truly proud of, then work on that. That will give you the self-confidence you're looking for.
Paulina: I guess it's because I want to belong.
Rachel: Oh, Paulina. Honey, you do belong. And maybe someday you'll feel it.
Ken: Gonna leave you two alone, go downstairs.
Rachel: I'll be right there.
Ken: Good night, Paulina. I hope you get some sleep.
Paulina: Night, Ken.
Rachel: A lot of people care about you, Paulina.
Paulina: I know that.
Rachel: So talk to us when you're upset.
Paulina: Were you really like me in the beginning?
Rachel: Did you think I was making that all up? When I finally was honest with myself and with others, everything fell in place. Now, you want me to stay here while you go to sleep?
Paulina: No, it's all right.
Rachel: It's all right. Come on.
Paulina: You really don't have to.
Rachel: I know I don't.
Paulina: Thank you.
Ryan: Look, this is breaking just about every single rule that we've got here, so make it quick.
Vicky: We will make it quick, if you would leave us alone.
Ryan: All right, but I'll be close by.
Marley: Vicky, he's just doing what he thought was right.
Vicky: Marley, you never should have left with him. He had this in mind all along.
Marley: Hey, come on, we -- we don't have much -- much time. Why don't we talk about something else?
Vicky: What did they do to you?
Marley: Oh, just like on TV. They took fingerprints and photographs. It wasn't that bad.
Vicky: You sure?
Marley: Yeah, Vicky, I don't want you to worry about me, ok?
Vicky: Why did this happen?
Marley: I told them what happened.
Marley: Vicky, I didn't have a choice. They were gonna find out anyway.
Vicky: You told them that Jake tried to rape you?
Vicky: You didn't. Tell me you didn't.
Marley: Vicky, it's the truth.
Vicky: Why didn't you stick to our story?
Marley: Because I couldn't.
Vicky: But if you kept quiet --
Marley: Vicky, they found Jake's blood on the hem of my coat.
Vicky: Who told you that?
Marley: It doesn't matter who told me. I couldn't keep lying anymore. It was getting harder and harder to live with myself.
Vicky: Marley, don't you understand, they have a motive now?
Marley: Don't worry, Vicky.
Vicky: You are so incredibly naive.
Marley: Oh, no, Vicky, I'm not.
Vicky: Marley, do you actually think that by telling the truth you're going to be safe?
Marley: I know I couldn't do anything else.
Vicky: Ok, uh, ok, I'll think of something.
Marley: Vicky, how's Steven?
Vicky: Oh, he's -- he's -- he's fine. He slept through the whole thing.
Marley: Good. That's good, Vicky. You've gotta go home to him. He needs you right now.
Vicky: But I want to --
Marley: Please -- no. Don't worry. I've told them all I'm going to tell them. Nobody will ever know that you went to Jake's loft that night. Vicky, I'm gonna protect you. I'm gonna protect you and your son no matter what.
Cass: There were traces of Jake's blood on Marley's coat. Not that that proves that she was wearing the coat at the time.
Ryan: Oh, come off it, both of you. You don't like it. I don't like it, but those are the facts that we've got.
Jamie: Well, get some new facts, Ryan. Marley didn't shoot anyone!
Carlos: Everything all right in here?
Ryan: Yeah, Carlos. Listen, I want you to take this man down to see the new prisoner.
Carlos: You know better --
Ryan: No arguments. Don't worry about it. If you get caught, I'll take the heat. Do it, man, now.
Carlos: Let's go.
Jamie: Thank you, Ryan.
Ryan: I owe you, Carlos.
Carlos: You owe me three. And believe me, I'm counting.
Ryan: What are you looking at?
Cass: You. I wouldn't be in your shoes for anything, especially now.
Carlos: She's in there. Make it quick.
Marley: Jamie, I didn't want you to come here.
Jamie: No way you could have kept me away. I'm gonna get you out of here, but there's a problem. No judge will set bail until tomorrow morning.
Marley: So I have to stay in here all night, huh?
Jamie: I'm sorry. I'll get you out as soon as I can.
Marley: No, Jamie. Cass will take care of that.
Jamie: Will you be ok?
Jamie: I mean tonight.
Marley: I'll be -- I'll be fine.
Jamie: I hate the idea that you're here. What?
Marley: Just thinking about, of all things, France. And when I saw you, it was really beautiful, quite different from here.
Jamie: Yeah, it was an incredible place.
Marley: Mm-hmm. And I remember the restaurant that we ate in, that we loved the food so much. What was the --
Jamie: You know my French.
Marley: The name of the restaurant, come on.
Jamie: Le me -- je --
Jamie: Oui, oui, oui.
Marley: That's wonderful.
Jamie: That was incredible.
Marley: Who knows? Maybe someday we'll look back on this place and think it was incredible.
Jamie: Yeah. What happened, Marley? I'll stand by you no matter what, you know that.
Marley: I should have let you come to Jake's with me.
Jamie: I should have insisted.
Marley: Jamie, you're, um -- you're gonna hear about this soon, and I would rather tell you myself.
Jamie: Marley, what?
Marley: Jamie, Jake tried to rape me.
Sam: What's wrong?
Olivia: Oh, the atmosphere isn't quite the same here.
Sam: Because of Amanda, right?
Olivia: Oh, I'm sorry.
Sam: No, I'm sorry. I never should have talked to her tonight, not here.
Olivia: It wasn't just the talking, Sam. It's this place. You and Amanda lived here for so long. There's a lot of memories here for you.
Sam: Do you want to go someplace else?
Olivia: No, not tonight. I really think it's better if I just leave.
Sam: You're upset, aren't you?
Olivia: No, no, but I think that you are.
Sam: I am fine.
Olivia: Sam. Hey, I had a wonderful time tonight.
Sam: I don't believe you.
Olivia: Oh, I did, really. I -- the best part was that I began to feel that you really cared about me in a way I never realized before.
Sam: You're right.
Olivia: And that makes me feel so good.
But I've gotta go.
Sam: I'll call you later, ok?
Ken: Amanda, I didn't know you were back.
Amanda: Where's Mom?
Ken: She's upstairs with Paulina.
Ken: Where were you?
Amanda: I had dinner over at Stacey's.
Ken: Must have been a pretty upsetting dinner.
Amanda: Well, then I went over to Sam's.
Amanda: Oh, yeah. Care to join me?
Ken: Uh, no, thanks. I'm driving home soon.
Amanda: Well, traffic is light. Cab had no problems bringing me home.
Ken: I gather it didn't go well with Sam.
Amanda: You really don't want to hear this, do you?
Ken: I wouldn't have asked.
Amanda: [Sighs] Well, it was the same. It was a fiasco. I talked, he didn't listen. I begged, and he got mad.
Ken: I'm sorry.
Amanda: No, no, I take that back. It wasn't exactly the same because Olivia was there. She's faster out of the starting gate than even I was.
Ken: Sam didn't ask her to give you some privacy?
Amanda: Of course not, he wanted it to be as humiliating as possible for me.
Ken: And so you left with no hope at all?
Amanda: No hope. Worse than that, I felt shot down, rotten, humiliated. Uh, that about sums it up. Sam said some pretty rough things to me.
Ken: I know it must have felt terrible at the time, but --
Amanda: You know -- you know what the worst part of it is? Everything that he said was right.
Jamie: I knew it had to be something like that. Whoever shot Jake should have finished him off.
Marley: Don't say that.
Jamie: I have never wanted anyone dead, but right now I can't think of a single reason that that son of a... how dare he even talk to you, to touch you? I can't believe it. Why wasn't I with you, Marley?
Marley: Because Jake was crazy. He would have done anything. Who knows?
Jamie: I hate that you had to go through that. I hate it. Listen to me; if you shot Jake while he was trying to rape you, you could get off.
Marley: I didn't shoot Jake. I swear to you I didn't shoot him.
Jamie: Ok, I'll make sure you get through this, that nothing happens to you. You mean too much to me. I am gonna get you out of here, Marley, and I promise you, we will never be apart again. I'll make them leave you alone.
Marley: They're not going to leave me alone. They're going to try me for attempted murder.
Cass: Yeah, well, it's way past my bedtime, boys and girls, so I am out of here.
Ryan: And no doubt I'll be hearing from you in the morning.
Cass: If not before.
Ryan: I can hardly wait.
Cass: Vicky, try not to worry. We'll get her out as soon as we can.
Vicky: I'm sorry if I kind of yelled at you before.
Cass: Oh, you didn't kind of, you out and out --
Vicky: I'm sorry.
Cass: Try and get some sleep.
Vicky: I hated that.
Vicky: Seeing my sister in there, looking like that, and not being able to do anything about it.
Ryan: She'll be out in the morning.
Vicky: She shouldn't be here at all.
Ryan: If there had been any other way, I --
Vicky: There was another way. You didn't have to book her.
Ryan: Evidence says I did.
Vicky: And you had to prove to your boss that you were on the job.
Ryan: That's not true. It's not true, and it's not fair.
Vicky: You are talking to me about fair?
Ryan: Look, if she's innocent, she'll go free.
Vicky: Don't give me that scales of justice crap. That D.A. broad is gonna railroad Marley. She's going to get a quick guilty and wipe the case off the books.
Ryan: I promise you, that is not the way it's going to happen.
Vicky: Why are you in the position to promise me anything? You are a cop. As soon as they assign a prosecutor to the case, you are as good as gone.
Ryan: Vicky, you have got to face certain facts. There is a strong case against Marley, and she is not helping herself by keeping quiet.
Vicky: I really thought you were my friend. I mean, I really -- I really thought you cared about me.
Ryan: I do.
Vicky: You are destroying my sister!
Ryan: Vicky, you have got to calm down.
Vicky: You make me sick. You asked me to trust you, and I trusted you, and you did this. You did this, Ryan. You are just like all the others. I don't want to see you again. I don't ever want to see you again.
Ryan: Vicky, wait!
Carlos: I took a call for you a couple minutes ago.
Carlos: The guy from the opera, an usher. He said he wanted to talk to you. He'll call back tomorrow.
Ryan: Yeah, what did he want to talk to me about?
Carlos: Something about Vicky Hudson at the opera the night Jake was shot. Some info he thinks you should know.
