Olivia: If you think I'm opening up this door, Evan, you're more of a moron than I thought.
Evan: Ok, Olivia. What did you tell Sam?
Olivia: Go away.
Evan: Hey, I can wait out here all night and we can just tell him together as soon as he gets here.
Olivia: Tell him what? You have just as much to lose as I do.
Evan: You didn't tell him about the insurance policy, did you?
Olivia: Only because I --
Evan: That's because you realized by getting me out of the picture, that opens the door up for Sam and Amanda.
Olivia: I am going to tell Sam everything.
And I am going to prove what a liar you really are, Evan. How do you like that?
Jake: I thought you said you believed me.
Marley: I'm not going to forgive you again. I want to know that when you say you love me, you want only me. Do you understand?
Jake: I am not having an affair with Paulina.
Marley: And -- and I want to believe that.
Jake: But you're not sure.
Marley: I don't know. I don't think I'm sure of anything anymore -- Jake.
Jake: Call her. If you're not sure, call the Corys and talk to Paulina yourself. Ask her yourself. Go ahead.
Marley: All right.
Marius: Nobody's going anywhere.
Lucas: He's got a gun.
Ryan: Run, Vicky.
Ryan: Vicky? Vicky?
Rachel: The Simmons were very good friends of Mac's. They're from Milwaukee. They're going to be flying in just for the party. Are you all right?
Paulina: Yeah, yeah, I'm fine.
Rachel: You seem upset, Paulina. Is there something you want to talk about?
Paulina: No, I, um -- sorry. I just had a run-in with someone earlier. You know what I want to do?
Paulina: I want to talk about the party. Come on.
Rachel: Are you sure?
Paulina: Yeah, absolutely. I mean, I have nothing to be sorry about, do I?
Rachel: Well, Paulina, when we took you into this family, we didn't expect you to leave your problems behind. If there's anything that's troubling you, I'd like to help.
Paulina: Well, I appreciate that. But I -- I really don't want to talk about it right now, thanks.
Rachel: Ok, well, there is something we have to talk about.
Paulina: What's that?
Rachel: I haven't gotten your guest list for the party.
Paulina: Hmm. Well, I know who I would like my date to be, but I don't know if that can still happen.
Rachel: You afraid to ask him?
Paulina: No, it's not that. Well, who knows? It might still work out.
Rachel: Anyone I know?
Paulina: Yeah -- it's Jake McKinnon.
Jake: You know, you're going to feel awfully embarrassed when you talk to her.
Marley: It was your idea.
Jake: I know, and I meant it. If you -- you don't trust me, you go ahead and call her yourself. Call Paulina and ask her.
Marley: What -- what do you think I should say to her? Paulina, are you sleeping with my ex-husband? Oh, you are? Ok, thank you for your time.
Jake: Marley, I need you to believe in me.
Jake: You know the Corys' number by heart.
Marley: I've been calling Jamie a lot lately because of the clinic.
[Paulina and Rachel chatting]
Paulina: I'll get it.
Marley: This is ridiculous. I'm -- I'm acting like a jealous housewife.
Jake: No, you're not.
Marley: Why is Paulina dependent on you? Why does Jamie keep buzzing in my ear about it? Why can't we -- why can't we just be us?
Jake: That is exactly what I keep saying.
Marley: Jake, we -- we get real close. And then we jump back.
Jake: Marley, that won't happen if you believe in me.
Marley: Jake, sex is not going to stop this.
Jake: I love you. I want to hold you, I am sorry.
Marley: No, you want to avoid the issue is what you want to do. We both do it. We hold each other. We kiss each other. We whisper that we love each other, and -- and we do it hoping that our physical attraction is just going to erase all of our problems.
Jake: You know, if you need to talk to someone else, I understand. If you need to call Paulina --
Marley: I need to believe in the man that I love.
Jake: Then believe in me.
Marley: I need time to think.
Jake: How much time?
Marley: I don't know. Maybe I -- few days, maybe.
Jake: You know something? A couple days away for you --
Marley: What am I doing? Here I go again. I'm running away from my problems.
Jake: You're not running away from your problems --
Marley: Yes, that's exactly what -- I'm not going anywhere.
Michael: You do that to yourself or -- you always were a lousy shot, buddy.
Marius: What do you want, stand there and watch me bleed to death? Is that it, Michael, huh?
Michael: Maybe later. Right now I want to know where my daughter is.
Marius: Your daughter, my friend, is a worthless slut.
Michael: You! Where is Victoria?
Lucas: Is she all right?
Ryan: Vicky, Vicky, come on, open your eyes for me. Vicky.
Ryan: I'm here, I'm here. I'm right here.
Ryan: Come on, are you ok?
Vicky: I think I hit my head on the floor. Ah.
Lucas: Yeah, I think that's just what you did.
Officer: Harrison, listen, I nicked Marius. He's -- he's off at the back somewhere.
Second Officer: We got three of his men at the gate.
Lucas: He can't get far. Hey, you did good, kid.
Ryan: Come on.
Vicky: Oh, thank you, oh -- oh.
Ryan: There you go.
Vicky: All right, thanks.
Ryan: What happened here?
Vicky: Oh, Marius hit me. He's a real pleasure.
Ryan: Listen, are you sure?
Vicky: But he almost killed us.
Ryan: Are you sure you're ok?
Ryan: Listen, I told you you couldn't handle this thing alone, and what do you do? You go -- you go out, and you get into his limo and you let him take you here.
Vicky: It wasn't my choice. Besides, I almost bagged the guy.
Ryan: You almost got your head blown off. If I hadn't walked in at the right time --
Vicky: But Lucas and I were just about to escape.
Ryan: You scared the life out of me, Vicky. Do you hear me?
Vicky: I didn't know you cared.
Ryan: Well, you should know better than that, don't you? Listen, I wanted to tell you before --
Michael: Victoria, thank God you're all right. Oh, come here.
Evan: So, what did you tell Sam?
Olivia: I just told you, I'm going to tell him everything, and then we're both going to have the supreme pleasure of watching you self-destruct.
Evan: I don't think so.
Olivia: I have nothing else to say to you.
Evan: Olivia, if Amanda finds out, she's going to feel so guilty. She's going to run right back into his arms.
Olivia: I told you before. He doesn't have any feelings for her anymore. And even if he did, why wouldn't I want to help him clear his name? That's all he wants.
Evan: Yeah, see, you got that right. That's your only connection with Sam.
Olivia: What are you talking about?
Evan: The longer that you keep this insurance policy thing a secret, the longer you have for Sam to fall in love with you.
Olivia: You don't know what you're talking about.
Evan: Ok, Olivia. Let's try and expand your feeble little mind, ok? Sam is hopelessly in love with Amanda.
Olivia: No, he's not.
Evan: Yeah, well you should've seen him when they saw each other for the first time the other night at the Corys. You should've seen him.
Olivia: Fine, Evan, what did you see?
Evan: His feelings. They were written all over his face. He couldn't hide it. If he knew that Amanda would take him back, he'd be there in a second.
Olivia: And where does that leave you?
Evan: It leaves me out in the cold. Despite the fact that you and I don't really like each other, we need each other. And the longer you keep your mouth shut, well, we can get what we want.
Olivia: I don't need you to get what I want.
Evan: Maybe, maybe not -- but are you willing to take that chance?
Olivia: She doesn't deserve him. She never has.
Evan: Caroline is ready to start pushing his work again. She's going to be promoting him as the husband of the Cory heiress, so if you want to stop it, I would make your move fast.
Olivia: Leave me alone.
Evan: Ok. Olivia, the cards are in your hand. So if you want Sam, it's your deal.
Felicia: Sam, oh, it's so good to see you.
Sam: It's good to see you, too.
Felicia: Come on in.
Sam: Thanks. Africa? What have they done with my brother over there?
Felicia: Well, Africa has made him very happy. You really should see him.
Sam: Yeah, I had three letters from him waiting for me when I got back.
Felicia: Yeah, I told him that you were probably still out of town. Is everything ok now?
Felicia: You know, if there's anything that I can do --
Sam: If there is something, I'll definitely let you know.
Felicia: I do want to help you.
Sam: Thank you. Anyway, how was the trip? Tell me about it. What was it like?
Felicia: Well, Kenya was beautiful -- very hot. And as you can see, I saw some amazing things.
Sam: Uh-huh, and Mitch?
Felicia: Well, like I said, he's -- he's in his glory over there.
Sam: Yeah, and how long does his contract go?
Felicia: Sam, you know, this is the first time that Mitch really has had real career success. I think it would be a shame for him to take a step backward.
Sam: Backwards? What are you talking about, Felicia?
Felicia: I really think that your brother should be the one to tell you the news. Can I get you something to drink, maybe?
Sam: Wait, wait, wait, what are you saying here?
Felicia: I have his number. Why don't you call him?
Sam: What the hell are you talking about, Felicia?
Felicia: Mitch isn't coming home.
Sam: What do you mean?
Felicia: I mean he's decided to make Kenya his permanent home, at least for now.
Sam: Without you?
Felicia: Well, he has asked me to join him.
Sam: But you're not going.
Felicia: I can't.
Sam: I can't believe this.
Felicia: I know. I'm not sure that I believe it myself.
Sam: Well, what happened? There weren't any problems with you two before he left.
Felicia: Things were starting to change for Mitch and me. I thought we were starting to work them out, but -- well, then he left. I love your brother, Sam. It's not that. It's just I'm not sure that we're ever going to be together again.
Sam: Man, what is this? It's like every time you try and believe in something it falls through.
Sam: What is the point?
Felicia: I don't know. I just don't know. I've written 100 books about it.
Felicia: But I can't seem to figure it out myself. Excuse me. Hello. No, no, Franco. Oh, for heaven's sake. Yes. Tell him I'll be down. Yes, I promise you. I'll come right now. He's threatening to get on the next plane for Paris.
Felicia: If I don't get down there right now and calm him down, I'm afraid I'm going to be serving hamburgers and French fries tomorrow.
Sam: Right, I understand.
Felicia: He said he called three times. I -- I don't understand. Pi giving me my messages.
Sam: Uh, Felicia, is there something else?
Felicia: I -- I just feel a little nervous right now. I -- I --
Felicia: I have a friend who is in trouble, and, well, I thought I would have heard from him by now.
Sam: Ok, well, there you go. I think you just turn it on there. That should do it.
Sam: Now, if he calls, you'll know.
Felicia: Thank you, great.
Sam: Look, if there's anything else -- for whatever it's worth if -- I hope it works out, whatever the problem is.
Felicia: Yes, thank you, so do I.
Donna: Bridget, why are you so upset?
Bridget: I know something's wrong.
Donna: Now, you have told me many times that you rarely know where Victoria goes in the evening. What's so different about tonight?
Bridget: That man.
Donna: What man?
Bridget: The man that called on her this morning. Remember, you were here?
Donna: She has a date with the elegant man?
Bridget: She got in a limousine with him.
Donna: Ah, this is wonderful. I knew it.
Bridget: Ms. Donna, there's nothing wonderful about this. Don't you see?
Donna: Oh, Bridget, what is wrong with you?
Bridget: Victoria would never get in a car with a man like that.
Donna: Don't you think you're overreacting just a little bit?
Bridget: Now, I want you to call Mr. Michael, and I want you to do it right now.
Donna: I can't. I don't know where he is either.
Bridget: Oh, dear.
Donna: We were supposed to have dinner together and he stood me up, which is rather uncharacteristic of him, by the way.
Bridget: Oh dear, oh dear. You know, she didn't even leave a note. And she didn't change her clothes.
Donna: How do you know she didn't?
Bridget: Because I saw what she was wearing when she went out. Then I went up to her room and everything was in perfect order.
Bridget: So -- when Ms. Victoria goes out, she tries on at least 35 different outfits, you see, and then she throws them around the room. And then, the whole room is in chaos.
Donna: And there was no chaos?
Bridget: No, there was no chaos. Everything was in perfect order. And the only time her room is in perfect order --
Donna: Well, Bridget, maybe she --
Michael: Bridget, this is Michael.
Bridget: Oh, Mr. Michael.
Donna: It's about time.
Michael: Look, I just called the house. Angela said Donna was with you. Can I speak to her?
Bridget: Yes, she is. Just a moment. It's for you, dear.
Donna: Michael Hudson, I haven't been stood up since I was in high school.
Michael: Donna, don't talk. Just listen, all right?
Donna: Why? What's wrong?
Michael: I'm with Victoria.
Donna: You're with Victoria?
Michael: Look, I want you to meet us at the airport.
Donna: The airport?
Michael: Terminal seven -- you know where that is?
Donna: Well, yes I know where it is.
Michael: Fine. Meet us both there as soon as you can. Bye.
Donna: What in the world?
Ryan: Is it all set?
Michael: Yeah, she's leaving town tonight.
Vicky: I'm not going anywhere.
Michael: Oh, yes you are. You don't have an opinion in the matter.
Vicky: What about Steven?
Michael: Steven? Your mother and I will take care of Steven. Don't worry about him.
Vicky: No, I've got an article to write. I can't be going out of town.
Michael: You're going to have plenty of time to work on this article where you're going.
Ryan: Listen to your father, Vicky. Look, if -- if Marius gets out on bail --
Vicky: Oh, please, I'm not afraid of that --
Michael: Victoria, you are getting on a plane to the Caribbean tonight, and I don't want to hear you talk back to me, all right? You're going to stay down there until I tell you you can come back.
Vicky: Dad --
Michael: Don't talk. I've got some friends down there who'll watch after you. I'm not taking any chances.
Ryan: It's the best thing, Vicky.
Vicky: What are you gonna do for fun while I'm gone? Sorry.
Ryan: Excuse me.
Michael: You --
Ryan: Hopefully the dirt that you got on Marius will put him away for an awfully long time, but I'm not going to believe it until I see it.
Officer: Excuse me.
Marius: I hope you have a good memory, Lucas, my friend.
Lucas: I do.
Marius: Then you remember what happens to people who aren't loyal to me. And don't think that I can't get to you. No matter where I am, don't ever fool yourself into thinking that.
Lucas: If I was afraid of you, Marius, you think I'd risk everything to come after you?
Marius: I'll make bail and be out within the hour.
Lucas: That's unlikely.
Marius: You count on it. And I'll come after you myself.
Lucas: I'm looking forward to that.
Marius: You're a dead man, Lucas.
Ryan: I hope they lock him up and throw away the key.
Lucas: If he wants me, he'll get me, no matter what.
Paulina: You don't approve, do you?
Rachel: I know you work for Jake, and you spend a lot of time with him. You don't have much time to get out and meet other people.
Paulina: I do. I just really like being with him, Rachel.
Rachel: I see. Well, for what it's worth, I understand that he and Marley are trying to patch things up and get back together again.
Paulina: Where did you hear that?
Rachel: From Marley.
Paulina: Yeah, well, she still thinks they have chance together, but Jake's been trying to break it off for weeks.
Rachel: I wasn't aware of that.
Paulina: It's been really hard for him.
Rachel: Is that what he told you?
Paulina: You don't trust him, do you?
Rachel: More importantly, do you?
Marley: It's -- it's late.
Jake: Don't go.
Marley: Jake -- tonight is not the night I should stay here.
Jake: Marley -- you know I want to be with you, don't you?
Jake: You don't seem so sure.
Marley: Jake, after what happened tonight --
Jake: What happened tonight was Jamie came and stuck his nose into something that's none of his business. He would do anything to keep us apart.
Marley: All right. I'll talk to Jamie.
Jake: Don't talk to -- let me talk to Jamie. Let me straighten him out, all right?
Marley: Well, then why don't I straighten Paulina out?
Jake: I don't want to talk about Paulina, either. I'm sick of talking about Jamie and Paulina. I love you.
Marley: Sometimes love isn't enough.
Jake: What do you mean?
Marley: Jake we're not connecting.
Jake: Marley, let me tell you something. I've made a lot of mistakes that have hurt us. I know what love is. No matter how many times I've screwed up, I have never ever doubted that I love you. Do you hear me? Now, I want you to believe it. I want you to believe it. No matter what has ever happened, I have never loved anyone in my life more than I love you. Look me in the eyes and tell me you believe that.
Jake: Patrick, Jake.
Patrick: Are you serious?
Jake: How've you been?
Patrick: I'm fine. Did you fall off the face of the earth or what?
Jake: Oh, I might if I'm not careful. Listen, Patrick, I -- I need a favor.
Patrick: I guess I owe you a favor. You in L.A.?
Jake: Not by a long shot. You ever hear of Bay City?
Jake: I figured as much.
Patrick: Well, how am I supposed to help you if I'm in San Francisco and you're on Main street, USA?
Jake: I need you to get my ex-wife out of town for a couple of days.
Patrick: What are you into McKinnon?
Jake: More hot water than I ever thought was possible.
Sam: Sorry I'm late. I took a little walk before I picked up the pizza.
Olivia: That's ok.
Sam: I'm just so disappointed. I was hoping you'd talk to the insurance agent today.
Olivia: Well, um -- guess what? He called.
Sam: Olivia, you're kidding me. What did he say?
Evan: Listen, I know it's late, and I appreciate you seeing me.
Rachel: What can I do for you, Evan?
Evan: Well, I spoke to Amanda. She's coming home tomorrow.
Rachel: Yes, I know that. She spoke to me, too.
Evan: Good. Well, then I need your help.
Rachel: With Amanda?
Evan: No, with Sam.
Rachel: Oh, no.
Evan: Look, I don't want him to be near Amanda.
Rachel: I'm sure you don't.
Evan: So then, you'll help me?
Rachel: No, I won't.
Rachel: Sam is still Amanda's husband, Evan.
Evan: Yeah, but she wants a divorce.
Rachel: He's the father of her child. You can't just write him out of his daughter's life just 'cause it's not convenient for you.
Evan: Oh, come on, Rachel. He's a dangerous person.
Rachel: So are you.
Evan: But I know what's best for your daughter.
Rachel: Then leave her alone to work things out with Sam.
Evan: I will. I just want to make sure that he doesn't hurt her again.
Rachel: He's not going to hurt anyone anymore.
Evan: Rachel, the only reason he came back to this town was to hurt your daughter.
Rachel: He came back here, Evan, because his whole family is here. That's why he came back. Leave them alone so they can work things out.
Evan: The best thing that happened to Amanda was when he left town. Now, with or without your help, I will see that he will never ever be a part of her life again.
Olivia: Sam, I -- I have to tell you something.
Sam: Damn it. Hold on. Hello? Amanda. I'm ok, I guess. And you? Uh-huh. How's Alli? She loves that. Yeah, I think we need to talk, too. Ok, I'm glad. All right, I'll see you then. Give Alli a kiss for me. That was --
Olivia: Amanda. I heard.
Sam: They're coming back tomorrow. I'm meeting her then.
Olivia: What does she want now?
Sam: Olivia, we were married. We have a daughter together. We have a lot to straighten out.
Olivia: Well, I know that. It's just that you said you didn't want anything to do with her ever again.
Sam: It's not that simple, Olivia. Come on, now, forget about that. Now, tell me what the insurance agent said. Tell me.
Sam: You said you talked to his office today, right?
Olivia: That's right. I talked to his office. Bill Levin left town. He -- he left no forwarding address.
Sam: Are you serious?
Olivia: Yes, his -- his boss was furious. He's left them high and dry.
Sam: Ah, why would he just run out of town like that?
Olivia: I don't know. I don't know.
Sam: I know, of course. Evan paid him off. He knew we were getting close, so he paid him off to stay out of town. Get out of town, and be quiet. Or he blackmailed him, who knows?
Olivia: Who knows?
Sam: When is this going to end?
Olivia: Sam, I'm -- I'm really sorry. I know how much you wanted to prove that he set you up.
Sam: I will prove it.
Sam: You don't worry about that. I will not stop until I have Evan pay for what he has done to me.
Olivia: I'm so sorry, Sam.
Sam: What are you sorry about? Olivia, come on. You -- you have no fault in this at all. You've done nothing but help me from the very beginning. I will never forget you for that -- never.
Donna: I don't believe this. When is it going to stop, Michael?
Michael: It's over now, Donna, all right? It's over. Victoria never should've been involved in this in the first place.
Vicky: I didn't tell anybody. Dad found out by accident.
Donna: That's very soothing. Why did you take such a risk? Weren't you thinking about your son?
Vicky: Of course I was. He was protected. Everything was under control until tonight.
Donna: But you could've been killed.
Vicky: Well, thank you for that gentle reminder.
Donna: What is this? You've got a bruise on your face.
Vicky: I'm fine. I'm fine, really. Do you know what I need? I need a cup of coffee. Would you get me a cup of coffee, please?
Donna: Of course I will.
Vicky: Thank you.
Donna: Do you need anything else?
Vicky: No, uh, black, three sugars, please.
Michael: I should yell at you.
Vicky: I know. I'm sorry.
Michael: I won't, but I should 'cause I'm angry.
Vicky: Dad, I -- I thought I could keep it under control, but Marius pulled me into his car and I --
Michael: Do you know -- what was going on in your head? Do you know how dangerous a man Marius Sloan is?
Vicky: I do now.
Michael: And I'm not going to let your boyfriend off the hook, I'll tell you that.
Vicky: My -- who's my boyfriend?
Michael: Oh, Ryan Harrison.
Vicky: He's not my boyfriend.
Michael: You never would've known that from the way you two were looking at each other.
Vicky: Oh, please. There's just a fine line between lust and disgust.
Michael: Look, that guy never should've gotten you involved in the first place. He was with the feds for a while.
Vicky: Dad just -- just do me a favor, ok?
Michael: Why? Why should I?
Vicky: Because I'm your daughter and you love me.
Michael: Because I love you, what I feel like doing is sending you to a boarding school in Switzerland, but I'm afraid of ending over 100 years of neutrality.
Vicky: Just -- just don't come down too hard on Ryan, please. He didn't want me involved in this in the first place.
Michael: I don't believe you.
Vicky: I wanted the guy to fry. Had he gotten what he wanted, you wouldn't be my Dad anymore.
Michael: I love you.
Vicky: I love you.
Michael: And I don't want you ever, ever to play vigilante again. You got it?
Vicky: I won't.
Michael: I will not lose another child.
Vicky: I'm sorry.
Ryan: I knew you would be worried about Vicky. I just wanted to make sure you knew that she was all right.
Bridget: Oh, that's very kind of you, Mr. Harrison.
Ryan: Mr. Harrison is my father's name. Please call me Ryan.
Bridget: Ryan? Oh, my, that's a -- that's a fine Irish name, isn't it?
Ryan: You like it?
Bridget: Oh, I do. Come on in.
Bridget: Does -- does Victoria like the name?
Ryan: Oh, I doubt it.
Bridget: Oh, well, she is a bit contrary, you know.
Ryan: She's a real pain.
Bridget: Aye, she can be that too.
Ryan: But she really cares about you.
Bridget: Did she know you were coming tonight?
Ryan: Oh, no, no.
Bridget: Oh, well she must be in a bit of a fit. I mean, her father taking her off to the airport like that.
Ryan: Well, she'll get over it.
Bridget: What's going to happen to Steven?
Ryan: Well, Steven will be staying with Michael and Donna.
Bridget: Oh, well, what's she going to do? She doesn't have any of her things. I mean, her make-up and her lipstick and she screams when she can't find that journal of hers.
Ryan: I know what terminal she's going to be at if you want to go and drop a bag off. If you hurry you can catch her.
Bridget: Oh, well, I can't do that.
Bridget: No, I have a cake in the oven. But you could.
Ryan: Oh, no -- no, I can't.
Bridget: Are you still on duty?
Bridget: Well, then couldn't you do it? As a favor -- for me, hmm?
Ryan: Well, maybe I could, but this is just for you.
Bridget: Oh, aye, please -- Ryan.
Marley: Hello, Hudson residence.
Patrick: Marley McKinnon please.
Marley: This is she.
Patrick: Hello, my name is Patrick Sullivan.
Patrick: I'm a trustee with the Garrett Foundation.
Marley: In San Francisco?
Patrick: Then you've heard of us.
Marley: Yes, you do the funding for non-profit organizations across the country.
Patrick: Someone has submitted an application for funding to us for your clinic.
Patrick: We don't know. It was unsigned, but they did leave your name and number as a reference. Do you do fund-raising for the clinic?
Marley: Well, yes I do.
Patrick: Well, our funding committee is very interested in this application, Marley. And if you can, we'd like to have you come out and maybe give a formal proposal to our board.
Marley: Well, yes, I will. When do you need me there?
Patrick: It has to be tomorrow, or there's no deal.
Marley: Ok. I'll -- I'll be there.
Patrick: Good. I was hoping you would say that.
[Knocking on door]
Jake: Boy, you and Jamie must have had some conversation after I left, huh?
Paulina: Yeah, we did.
Jake: What lies did he tell you?
Paulina: He told me that you and Marley were getting back together.
Jake: And you believed him?
Paulina: Have you given me any reason not to?
Jake: Paulina, if it's about the suitcase --
Paulina: Forget the damn suitcase, Jake. I came here -- I want to know the truth, for once. Is that asking too much?
Jake: I thought you trusted me.
Paulina: Yeah, I thought so, too.
Jake: So trusting me means that you believe anything that Jamie says over anything that I say.
Paulina: Why would Jamie lie to me, Jake? What does he have to gain?
Jake: I don't know. Maybe he wants Marley to hate me. About a year ago this thing happened with Vicky, and ever since, Jamie --
Paulina: Can we not talk about Jamie, please.
Jake: I'd love to.
Paulina: I came here to ask you one question and I would like an honest answer.
Jake: Go for it.
Paulina: Is it really over between you and Marley?
Paulina: Prove it.
[Knocking on door]
Felicia: Are you all right?
Lucas: Yeah, yeah. I can't tell you how good it is to see you.
Lucas: Oh, Fanny. I never knew if I was ever going to do this again.
Felicia: You're shaking.
Lucas: I know, I know. It's over.
Felicia: Are you serious?
Lucas: Harrison isn't going to be after me anymore. He's got bigger fish to fry. He's going to need my testimony for -- to get Marius.
Felicia: Does that mean you're free?
Lucas: Not by a long shot.
Felicia: Why? I mean, what else has happened?
Lucas: Marius swore he'd see me dead.
Felicia: Oh, my God, Luke.
Lucas: He's in custody right now, but that may not last the night.
Lucas: He's a very powerful man. Stranger things have happened.
Felicia: But the police, I mean, can't they protect you?
Lucas: It doesn't matter. If he wants me dead, he'll do it.
Felicia: What are you going to do?
Lucas: I have to leave town for good. I'm leaving tonight.
Felicia: What about Iris?
Lucas: She'll get over it. I never loved her, Fanny. You know why. I left you once before without saying goodbye, without telling you how I felt.
Lucas: It's not going to happen again. I love you, Fanny. I've always loved you. Everything I did since Gold Street was so I could get back to you. Now I'm here, the slate is clean, and --
Felicia: You're not making any sense.
Lucas: Yes, I am. I never wanted anybody but you, Fanny. I'll always, always love you. Goodbye, Fanny.
Felicia: Luke, wait.
Lucas: Don't do this, Fanny.
Felicia: I can't let you. I can't let you leave like this. I can't.
Lucas: Fanny, I can't have you. You're married to -- to Mitch. I mean -- what are we talking about this for anyway? It's over.
Felicia: You're not going anywhere -- not yet. I can't lose you -- not again. Do you know how scared I was? I really thought I was never going to see you again. And I got that feeling that I had when I was a kid.
Lucas: What was that?
Felicia: That terrible feeling. That feeling -- that feeling I had when I lost you the first time. Oh, Luke, I can't feel like that again -- ever.
Lucas: You don't have to, not tonight.
Jake: You want me to prove that it's over with Marley.
Paulina: You bet I do.
Jake: Don't I do that every time we're alone?
Paulina: The one thing I have asked you to do, you haven't done.
Jake: What haven't I done?
Paulina: You keep stalling, Jake. You don't want to tell Marley because you don't want to let her down. You don't want to hurt her. Well, time's up. If you want me, you tell Marley tonight.
Jake: I did.
Paulina: What? I told her it's over. When? What did she say?
Jake: She was blown away. Exactly what I told you would happen.
Paulina: Are you all right?
Jake: It hurt, and I'm not going to deny that.
Paulina: I'm sorry, Jake.
Jake: It had to be done. It had to be done.
Paulina: Where's Marley now?
Jake: Home, packing.
Paulina: Packing? Why?
Jake: She's leaving town tomorrow, so she's packing.
Paulina: Because of --
Jake: Listen, I -- I really don't want to talk about this, all right?
Paulina: Yeah, sure.
Jake: I -- I'd like to spend tonight alone. Can you understand that?
Paulina: Of course I do.
Jake: Can we have dinner tomorrow? I have something really important I want to talk to you about.
Jake: We can make up for lost time starting tomorrow. I promise. Mm.
Paulina: It's going to be all right. I promise you.
Jake: Yeah? Hey, I'm counting on it.
Paulina: I'll see you tomorrow.
Jake: Mm-hmm. Hey, you know, sleep well.
Paulina: I will.
Woman on P.A.: Attention, now boarding at Gate 55, Trans Am Flight 432 non-stop service to San Remo.
Vicky: Don't touch -- oh.
Ryan: I didn't mean to scare you.
Vicky: What are you doing here?
Ryan: You're going to have a hard time getting on the plane without this.
Vicky: Have you been watching me?
Ryan: You are the most beautiful woman here. Listen, uh, Bridget sent me. She told me to tell you that she wants a call tomorrow and that she'd check up on Steven.
Ryan: Welcome. So now -- you -- you sure you're ok?
Vicky: Uh, no, I'm a nervous wreck.
Ryan: Me, too.
Vicky: You are?
Ryan: I thought I'd almost lost you.
Vicky: Oh, it was pretty scary.
Ryan: Listen, just get some rest and you'll feel better, I promise.
Vicky: Are you making this a habit?
Vicky: Saving my life. This is the second time, right?
Ryan: Well, I guess it cancels me out dangling you from a rooftop once.
Vicky: Yeah, yeah, I guess so.
Woman on P.A.: Last call for Flight 432.
Vicky: That's me. Don't get into any trouble while I'm gone.
Ryan: It should be easy while you're not here.
Ryan: I'll miss you.
Vicky: You will?
Ryan: Yeah, um -- crazy.
Vicky: I'll be back. Yeah, I'll be back.
Ryan: Yeah, sure.
